Home chapter one: return to base
This is a reboot of the original story I first posted little over ten years ago. The story is the same just written better.
Okay, in this chapter it will begin on the USS Importal Aircraft Carrier. Disclaimer: most of the characters in this story do belong to Hasbro and Paramount studios unless noted by me! Look I'm starting the story from here sorry for the confusing mess I'm trying to straight it out.
The year is 2008 and the war between the two factions one the Autobots and two the Decepticons is over. The Autobots won the war barely but they diffidently didn't feel that they had. The sheer Catastrophic destruction around the globe and billions of humans killed in this third and most deadliest battle that has been raged upon earth by these two factions is unfathomable. Even though it was the Autobots that defeated the Decepticons that didn't put at ease any other human being on earth except a few high US government officials, a few high allied officials from Britain and France then Lennox and his team.
Somewhere on the Mediterranean sea the USS Importal is carrying back U S Soldiers and some of the allies troops who fought along side with Col. William Lennox and his team. Lastly, the carrier also was bring back the last remaining Autobots. They and Col. Lennox's team will go back to Diego Garcia Air force base where they have been based there since 2005.
It has been two hard and long months in the days after that fateful day on March 23,2008. The remains of Megatron and the rest of the Decepticons were this time dismantled to Primes' liken. What was left of their bodies were melted down till there was nothing left. All Decepticons are accounted for and are dead. Prime would know because he has fought every one of them at some point in his life. This was not how Prime wanted it to end; another planet this time nearly destroyed by this ragging war that Megatron began millenniums ago. During Primes' leadership he has seen 27 planets and of those 11 were inhabited by Cybertronians destroyed by Megatron's greed for power through tyranny. CMO for the Autobots is Ratchet he took charge of his fellow Autobots while Dr. Deirth Galine was the CMO over the humans onboard. Ratchet and Dr. Deirth kept each other briefed and it would be safe to say it was a first for both of them to work along side of a different species. Two days after setting sail from Cairo, Egypt on May 27,2008 Optimus finally agreed to let Ratchet perform the three procedures he needed to have today. One removing the shard that is seven inches from his spark, two reattaching his right knee socket to his leg and three, getting bits of debris out of his right hand that has caused his hand to become partially numb. Prime despite being in pain told Ratchet along time ago under no circumstances would he allow Ratchet to fix him up until, the other Autobots were seen first and that is something Ratchet never really fought him over either. Sam had surgery also today on his right arm where he had a compound fracture just below his elbow and all the doctor could do for the two fingers he broke on his right hand was to put them in a splint.
Two humans succumbed to their injuries this morning and they were Col. William Lennox's right hand men. One was his High school friend and the other his cousin. That would not be the only pain that both human and bot were to deal with before that aircraft carrier made it to Tokyo, Japan. Sam learned just days before they made it to Japan that his mother had passed away in a car crash by a drunk driver as she was heading to the airport to fly out to see him in Tokyo. Sam's only thought though was at least she knew he survived. Prime was sitting up against the wall down on the third deck when Lennox came down to see him. Then Lennox broke the bad news to Optimus that he got just got word that Sam's mother had died from a fatal car crash back in California going to the airport this past weekend. Optimus then asked if Sam had been notified and Lennox said yes he was told by the ships' Chaplin Rev. Levon Goodberg about an hour ago. Prime just bowed his head the kid was only 20 years old. That's when Optimus asked Lennox if he could bring Sam down to him. Lennox told Optimus yes he would. An hour later Col. Lennox escorted Sam down to the third deck where the Autobots were at and down at the aft of the ship Optimus was sitting there and as Sam came closer Optimus stretched out his hand towards Sam and Optimus told him, "Sam, I'm sorry to hear that your mother was killed." Sam just climbed up into Optimus' hand and wept. There was nothing else Optimus felt he could do. There is nothing one can do but to deal with that grief their own way. Two days later the Autobots lost yet more friends, Jazz and Cliffjumper. They had lost to much bluegeron translated that means they bleed out due to their fatal injuries. Ratchet couldn't control their bleeding any longer. It was Thursday June 13,2008 when the USS Importal arrived at the port of Tokyo around 3 AM local time.
Later that day the Autobots along with Col. William Lennox and his team were loaded up in the cargo planes and returned back to Diego Garcia Air force base. Except Bee, he was given permission from General Moreshower to return with Sam and Carly to California but, to remain undercover. Bee changed his car profile and his usual yellow paint to a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu car with blue paint. Carly went with Sam to his mothers' funeral that following week. Two weeks later Sam resumed his studies in computer software programs while Carly went back to work for Johnson Productions in North Hollywood, California.
Meanwhile, back at the base not much was going on except on occasion one or two of the bots would go riding down to the beach and either watch the sun set or rise. Col. Lennox and his team remained on the base now with the Autobots and keep their routine patrols in the skies. It wasn't that Lennox or General Moreshower didn't trust Prime and the other bots. It was the world that wanted them under strict observance and not allowed to leave the base for any reason. Most of the bots were still recovering from their injuries and also from the lost of four others during this last battle with the Decepticons. They are as follows: Mudflap, skids, Jazz and Cliffjumper. Two weeks after returning to the base Optimus gathered the remaining bots and they met in the communications hanger. That is one of the two huge hangers that were constructed for the bots to met in after a recon mission or battle with another band of Decepticons that got killed on contact usually under the disguise of a military exercise. The other huge hanger was used for their private quarters where they would park and recharge(or sleep if you like) at night.
Optimus was sitting in his chair when the others came walking in and they too sat down.
Optimus starts talking," For the last two months we have been morning for the lost of our dear friends both human and bots and of the sheer lost and devastation to this world to which it has never seen before. This is not the ended to the war we wanted but, it is. I feel as your leader I have to make the call for us to now begin to move on not to forget or regret but, move on. I have had time to think of those we left behind and I wonder if they too are alive. Every year since we arrived here on earth I have sent out a coded message to all remaining Autobots to come to earth, our new home and we will be waiting. I have not given up hope to see my son, Rammer and my sparkmate, Elita some day and I know you here have not given up on seeing your families again someday either. Nor the other friends we haven't seen in thousands of years if not longer." Optimus said.
Optimus was telling them the truth. They didn't know if any had survived just that he wanted those gathered in the room to hold on to their dream of seeing their families and other friends someday and besides Optimus was not about to give in on hope despite that moral was as low as it's ever been for him and the other bots. They(the bots) watch the news, they read the world reports of the magnitude of what this last battle brought upon this planet. The room was quite but all eyes were facing Prime because they knew deep down Optimus wouldn't be saying this if he didn't believe it first for himself.
Two more months go by and the Autobots have not heard anything from the pentagon. Optimus wasn't expecting any thing either. Optimus held another meeting in the communications hanger but this time the mood was different.

Okay I think I should say what bots are already here so they are: Optimus, Ironhide, Prowl, Ratchet, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Hound, Bee, Wheeljack and Mirage. The list gets bigger in later chapters. Sorry for the change but I had it all screwed up so let's start the story here
