So as to why the big deal with Gus and Jonathan, once again Gus's issues was Marzipan's safety even if Ichabod himself was nice he wasn't sure about the two convict parents, also Marzipan loves both Gus and Jonathan and wanted them to be friends, and here we establish Marzipan's most prominent flaw is her laziness/cowardice while Marzipan may have had a firey temper she really hates upsetting situations and would rather avoid them at all costs the current time is May (In the Humanimal Universe Earth) and since the events of 'It's Not Easy Being Giant' are explitly a summer vacation, it's a sign that Marzipan while, the entire Fellowship Crew became aware of Uncle Gus's message, Marzipan's fear caused her to not push moving along with the plan to go to Viola Strierra so they took their dear sweet time, having a few other adventures between May and July of which the events of It's Not Easy Being Giant was one of them, next chapter I think I'll skip to when they finally decide to get their butts into gear

With the Turtles back in their home dimension they were not privy to what happened after the show,

Uncle Gus revealing in the applause even if it was only from two people, having a chance to relive the happiest moments of his life, felt at ease with these humans seeing they were also fellow connoisseurs of the arts, and anyone who truly apprciates culture can't be truly evil,,,Right?

And in his newfound feeling of youthful exuberence, he reached over and gave Ichabod a noogie, Ichabod having become accustumed to the sometimes rough ways Humanimals show love simply smiled and took it.

"I'm gonna really look forward to having you as a Nephew In-Law!" Gus said then he sighed "Of course it's easy enough to convince me, Marzipan and I understand each other...Her parents...I'm not sure you'll be able convince them at all...Those two were always regular sticks-in-the-mud..."

At this Marzipan felt her heart sink, she felt certain Uncle Gus's words were true that her parents would never accept her and Ichabod's love...She quietly walked away into the forest. Of course did not go unnoticed Ichabod followed after her, and Jonathan called after her but Gus waved his hand.

"Marzipan...She...She didn't have a great relationship with her parents..." Gus said

"Yes," Jonathan said "I'm aware of that much, from the short time I've gotten to know her I've gotten bits and pieces of the story of her life before the invasion but it was clear that these memories were very painful for her to talk about, since I'm her future Father In-Law not her therapist I didn't push the subject..."

Gus sighed "Dear Sweet Marzipan...She always hated any kind of pain would try to avoid it at all costs, in a way that's probobly her Cat Instincts showing, our tendancy to be decandant, to seek comfort and pleasure above all else...That's the nature of her disorder, in Viola Strierra we learned the Born and Bred Slave Humanimals call it 'Gaia's Touch' and they see it as a blessing as these Humanimals are often the artists and poets of Humanimal society...Called Giaia's Touch because the Humanimal born with it feels much closer to their animal instincts, or more accuratly they can't suppress their animal instincts and act 'perfectly human' hence their low stress threshold and tendancy to have emotional meltdowns..."

Meanwhile as Marzipan was slowly walking through the forest, she heard Ichabod call after her. "Marzipan! Marzipan!"

Marzipan stopped and turned her head as Ichabod caught up to her.

"He's right, Ichabod..." Marzipan said quietly "Mom and Dad will be even worse, and it's not because of Uncle Gus's reason he was just concerned about my safety and given what he must have heard about your parents' crimes I can't say I blame him...Mom and Dad...Ichabod you got to understand...They were the worst of the the Mizzer 'Curse' they strove to be the most dull and boring Humanimals imaginable! Anytime they saw a Humanimal on TV be they a News Ancor or a Performer or whatever they would say 'That Humanimal should be ashamed of themselves Showing their Animal Body on national television! For they truly believed our Animal features were flaws and that the humans hated us for them, despite never asking a human's opinion on the matter but they were brainwashed by they're parents, Uncle Gus told me his and my mom's mother my grandmother, would regurally beat him because he would do what made him happy instead of being dull and boring, and he said that my Mom, Esmerelda was always terrified of their mom and he thinks she's still terrified of Grandma even though she's been dead for years, died before I was born! They told me Humans are always watching us, judging us, and we should always be ashamed since we're not as perfect as humans! Can't you see! They won't be able to tolerate me marrying a human because they believe Humanimals aren't worthy to even approach humans!"

"But...Marzi..." Ichabod said "...They've been slaves for nine years, don't you think the experience, might have...Slapped the delusions out of them?"

"Remember what Uncle Gus said..." Marzipan said "They actually weren't slaves for very long, they couldn't handle...Likely they couldn't handle actually being around humans or Humanimals who weren't Housecats, it was because Uncle Gus was so popular and charming with the Native Humanimals that word of his fame went round the planet so they protected his family from being sent to the sausage factory so instead of actually being slaves they've been hiding underground for years!"

So a little more insight into the Mizzer 'Curse' and why Marzipan is so relucatant to face her parents, also yes Gaia's Touch is a Humanimal Equivelent to Autism Spectrum Disoders but it does have a different cause, Gaia's Touch is the result of natural mutation of the Fairy Magic 'breaking down' causing a Humanimal to be more in touch with their natural instincts
