So this chapter if you've played the video game Phychonaughts is inspired by the last stage The Meat Circus and I use the fan lyrics to the stage's music (With some tweaks to fit this story) so here the meaning feels a bit different in the Original the song is adressing two characters but here the song is only adressing Marzipan here references to 'The Father' can be seen as referring to Humanity as Humanity can be seen as the 'parent' race to the Humanimals since Humans were the one who uplifted them from ordinary animals and I keep the 'Everybunny Bleeds' and the terrifying mangled rabbits because Rabbits are seen as a harmless animal so to harm them is like innocence corrupted and also in the RPG Chancgeling the Dreaming the Animal Fairies the Pooka individual Pooka can be just about any Animal Pooka seem to frequently be compared to Rabbits and be called Rabbits (About ironic I think because in the actual Folklore Pooka are more often Horses or Goats) but yeah Rabbits as a symbol for all animals
For a Dream Weaver, weaving a nightmare feels wrong for many reasons, their Primary Work is to weave sweet dreams for people on the verge of losing all hope, and their other duty is fighting nightmares that won't go away so for them giving someone a nightmare is like a firefighter commiting arson however a fire can actually be good for a forest, to clear away the dead plant life with a small fire if better than letter grow into the worse fire later and Dream Weavers know that sometimes people need to have nightmares to communicate something important it's only when the nightmares become chronic and the person suffering them has no intervention in the waking world coming that the Dream Weavers come as the 'Emergency Services' ideally they prefer it when people resolve their nightmares on their own...
But as we shall soon see, a Dream Weaver with their skillful imaginations are capable of crafting some inspired nightmares for those who need them...
Marzipan found herself standing in what appeared to be...A circus made entirely of meat, there were platforms that were made of floating chucks of raw meat and the trapeze seemed to be made out of bones!
And then a fine sparkling mist appeared, Marzipan gazed in amazment as the mist formed a very handsome Labrador Retriever-Boy who seemed to be her age, however, something about his epression hinted at a maturity she did not yet have, this Pup seemed more like a grown man by the way he held himself, he was also translusent like a ghost only vauge hints of color indicated to Marzipan his fur was yellow and the clothes he was wearing were green that appeared similar to the tunic and tights Peter Pan would wear...
The Dog-Boy floated over to Marzipan and clircled around her, Marzipan shrank back feeling as though she were being judged by this Pup who seemed more wise than most adults,
The Dog-Boy ceased his inspection and seemed to sigh with a somber look on his face, and than he floated over to wear the Circus Band would play and thus appeared a several Humanimals who all appeared to be quite young and all translusent making them a bit harder to see when they all stood next to each other but Marzipan could see it seemed most of them were Dogs, though she could clearly see one was a Pig and...Maybe one was a Cat like herself?
Then the music began to start! The Animal Spirits all began stamping, with their hands...For thay had all gotten on all fours and began to sing

As this chorus was sung something fell from the sky, something furry and white, it fell into a giant meat grinder and the meat grinder did some gut wrenching turns squirting out blood as it did so, out popped a hideously mangled giant white rabbit! It's gaping maw seemed to indicate it had become carnivourous and began making a b line straight for Marzipan.
The Chorus of Humanimal Spirits began singing to Marzipan what to do
Marzipan
Who ran away, it's time to play, so
Now begin
Your death-defying climb..."
Realizing what she had to do, Marzipan began climbing a ladder to one of the floating meat platforms to get away from the Ravanous Rabbit
"Mage Monarch
No time for fun, for now we're all
USDA prime!"
As Marzipan began jumping from platform to platform to flee the salivating rabbit that was climbing after her the Spirits Sang
"Blending up the mental trauma (of the brain)
So much drama
Of one mind
Spend your range against the slaughter (of the brain)
Of the father (How deranged)
Now we find
Acro-cat
Mage Monarch
Death defy (of one mind)
You're USDA prime
Everybody gather, take their seat

Marzipan had run out of platforms she realized she had to grab onto the bone trapeze and as she swung from trapeze to trapeze the song continued

Break! 'Cause everybunny bleeds

Then the Circus began to flood with boiling blood that seemed to engulf the rabbit and instantly melt him, Marzipan shuddered, if she wasn't an obligate carnivore she knew there would be no way she would eat meat again after this

Mizzer child
No time for fear, so stop the tears, 'cause

That was the moment Marzipan understood these Humanimals singing to her were her fellow Mizzerans, young Mizzerans who like herself were also kidnapped when they were children, she realized what this nightmare meant...They were telling her they all went through the same thing she went through...In fact they were still suffering as slaves so she needed to stop being held back by her fear and go forth and rescue them because only she had the power to do so...

"ALL RIGHT! I'LL DO IT!" Marzipan screamed upon waking up scaring the behoozits out of Ichabod who had fallen asleep next to her
