For those who are recently tuning into the story anyone who is familiar with the Batman Lore might find it odd that Nygma is saying he'll never take sleep for granted again when in his debeut episode it ends with his former greedy boss Mockridge being frightened in to permenant insomnia by the Riddler and as stated earlier Nygma didn't have insomnia but his misadventure with the virtual reality machine caused him to only be able to have violent nightmares until a psychic mutant accidentially fixed his brain but as the Turtles and Splinter would see it it would be a Karmic for Nygma to not be able to have a restful sleep as long as he remained unrepentant about his former crimes as like in A Horse and his Boy when Aslan informed Aravis that he wounded her so she would know what it was like for her family's slave when she got punished when Avaris ran away, No doubt Mockridge was slimy and greedy and what he did to Nygma was wrong but in a way Nygma got a bit of Mockridge's suffering in my version of the tale
Deep in the deepest part of the Downdeep-Downdeep Donatell mopped a bit of sweat from his brow, the insufferable heat was really the hardest part about this job.
'These Wraglers claim to to be so advanced...' Don thought scornfully '...This generator that runs their most important systems is as easy to readjust as hot wiring a car!'
Just one more final adjustment and...He had it! He made the systems blink! By that I mean for a brief moment all the electric lights on the planet turned off for a brief minute, but it did not alter anything important to someone's life like machines in hospitals keeping people on life support those were all on a seperate computer system for emergencies like this!
But the system which kept the lights on were also connected to the computers which moniters the space around the planet, while for the lay people their lights went back on in only a minute for the military space monitoring computers, they were completely offline and it would take at least an hour to be working normally again, everyone was frightened they had no idea what could have caused it, but they also kept quiet they didn't want to cause a panic and then suffer the punishments for causing the panic which would be worse than simply admitting the problem! It is a simple fact that in this wicked states that people are punished for telling the truth about problems so they learn to keep their mouths shut thus the problems build and build until the state eventually collapses on itself another reason why this invasion was actually a favor to Viola Strierra they were actually saving them from the collpase that would have inevitably happened if something was not done!
The electric lights all over the planet going dark was the sign everyone else needed, they got into their small spacecraft and made their way to Viola Strierra while no one could see them coming...
However the Wranglers were not complete idiots they knew full well why someone would pull such a stunt, so the General made an emergency call to 'The Specialists'
"Wow!" Don sighed as he wiped away some more sweat, he was not used to being fully clothed he could not wait to get out of this wooly outfit "Amazing how simple a feat that actually was!"
As he exited the room where the generator was he found a note pinned to the wall...It was from Bumble.
'I had to go, with what you're starting, I and several other Humanimal leaders have to cordinate our people so this plan doesn't get botched and end in catastrophe instead of how we want it to end, but I'm having a Humanimal Girl sent to help guide you through the underground.'
Meanwhile in the Bathhouse, Genevieve shook, Edward Nygma's shoulders as he was still asleep.
"Mr. Nygma..." The Dog-Woman whispered as loud as she dared "Mr. Nygma it blinked...All the lights went out...Is that the sign you needed?"
"Huh?" Nygma blinked groggily "Lights...Went out?" Then he remembered where he was "Oh Thank you Genevieve! That is the sign I need to get moving!"
Feeling much more loose and limber he opened his bag, there was his Riddler costume and question mark shaped cane, Genevieve exited the room so he could get dressed.
So this was mostly a transition chapter in which the all the chess pieces move into place
