So with Father's Day right around the corner, I realized I was a little late on writing something for Mother's Day and this might seem like more of the same dealing with Edward Green's relationship with his Mother and another female figure in his life who we shall see soon in this chapter but Edward himself is a Young Father at this point in the story so it is about showing how he's become a better person
With the Palace in total blackout mode, Edward knew they only had a short amount of time before the power came back on, but first there was something he had to do.
"Minsk," Edward said quiently but firmly "Stay here, there is something I have to do."
"What is it?" Minsk asked
"I have to...See someone..." Edward said "Someone very important to me."
And with that Edward left the walls, to enter into the pitch black palace.
Meanwhile, Marzipan have to keep herself concealed in a trenchcoat and fedora because a pink and purple Cat kind of draws attention, but she knew she wouldn't have to wear this disguise much longer, she followed the map to a trash strewn alley, a place where humans almost never visited, she pushed aside a trash can revealing a hole...A hole to a tunnel to the underground!
Marzipan jumped down and slid down the tunnel, for a moment she smiled that it really was like going down the tube slide at the playground until she finally landed, her feline instincts caused her to briefly recoil when her feet touched cold water. (Unlike a lot of Cat-Humanimals Marzipan liked water, it was that she liked it when she chose to go in the water, when it caught her by surprise she still had the typical feline reaction)
Just as she was getting over the shock she heard footsteps behind her
"Whose there?" Marzipan asked spinning around
In the darkness of the sewer a pair of perfect blue eyes sparkled, from the darkness emerged a snow white face, that seemed to have been blessed to never develop the marking colors typical of the Ragdoll breed and instead remained as pure white as snow as a newborn kitten, Marzipan instantly knew who it was when she saw the recognition in the snow white face.
"Marzipan!" The White Cat-Girl exclaimed "Marzipan it really is you!"
When Marzipan had been kidnapped Emma had only been four years old, now that Marzipan herself was 16 her little sister was now a pretty Cat-Girl of twelve!
"Emma!" Marzipan exclaimed as she ran to her sister, all those years of thinking of her little sister as nothing but a pest who stole her toys all that seemed so meaningless and the two sisters hugged grateful to have finally found each other again.
Now back in the Palace Edward crept as quietly as he could toward the infirmery, he knew who would be there.
And there she was! A Doberman Pinscer Dog-Woman, he was able to see her because she was holding a flashlight, she was studying one of the wall panels.
Quietly as he could, Edward snuck up on the Dog-Woman preoccupied what she was doing and hugged her from behind, causing her to yelp loudly which Edward quickly had to quiet by grabbing onto her muzzle!
"Belinda!" Edward said quickly "Belinda, it's me Edward!"
"Edward!" The Dog-Woman gasped as he realized her muzzle, as a middle aged Dog-Woman a bit of silver had begun to appear in the fur on her face and skin was a little bit looser than before, but otherwise she still looked great, as the Royal Physician slave she knew how to take care of herself. The fact that she had the naturally floppy Doberman ears made her seem far less intimidating as she was supposed to seem soft and welcoming, it certain unsavory humans who use Humanimals as 'muscle' who mutilate Dog-Humanimals' ears to make them look fiercer though nowawdays those types have cast aside Dogs in favor of Dromaeosaur dinosaurs.
"We know you defected to the other side." Belinda said as quietly she could "We all heard it, but still it was hard to believe it, especially since Wrangler TV isn't too keen on showing your heroic deeds, showing you so much happier, don't want to encourage other Wranglers to defect."
Edward simply hugged Belinda tighter "We've come to liberate all of you." He said "But I had to personally make sure you would be liberated...For you were there for me in my time of need."
The time he was referring to was after his break up with his horrid girlfriend Rose Thorne, a Sadistic Wrangler who seemed to have targeted Edward because he was kind hearted towards his fellow humans, because he wanted to treat his potential future Queen like a lady, she took advantage of his kindness, and when Edward came to his Mother to tell of the break up he revealed the scars all over his back, to help get Edward back on track and ready for marriage, to help him releard 'the femminine hand is gentle' they had the Physician slave treat his injuries and for several days after perform little 'tests' which really served no purpose other than to help him get readjusted to female hand touching him, it worked a little bit, but he would often have relapses of Phantom pain, and it wasn't until he joined the Fellowship crew that Minsk's hand seemed to heal him completely from his trauma.
So some more about Edward's past and showing how messed up Wrangler society is that they've braniwashed the Humans into being Psychopaths that they when they see a normal empathetic human they feel the need to destroy them, but why is Edward capable of basic human decency? Why does his Mother seem capable of it too? Soon to be revealed
