So in this chapter we do get a little more info on the Mizzerans in particular their families, in Bumble and Squeeks story I mention Squeeks mentions he's one of seven children he was the youngest until the triplets were born becoming a middle child probobly did more to fuel his feelings that the world was out to get him, my choice of seven was partly driven because I had learned there were quite a few superstitions around the world about having seven children, in Brazilion folklore there is a belief that the seventh son of a seventh son is cursed to be a werewolf and in the RPG Book of Horn and Ivory which is Anthro Animals living in an African-like setting in their mythology it is unlucky to have seven children because in their creation myth the 7th Jan or Spirit Child of Heaven and Earth being the evil one
Edward picked up Belinda showing his great strengh because as Doberman she was a big dog, telling her he would carry her, himself to safety but Belinda pushed against him saying "You don't need to do that, I know the ways to the secret passages...As a Humanimal of my standing not only being a Humanimal of Great Intelligence but also as one who works closely with the Royal Family thus I know many secrets, the Leaders of the Humanimals have granted me the privilage to request sanctuary should ever I need it, I'll be safe Edward, do not jepordize your mission for my sake!"
Edward sighed he knew she was right.
"All right." Edward saying bowing to the Dog-Woman like he did when he was Prince "Untill we meet again..." And with that he went back to where he left Minsk.
Meanwhile, as Marzipan and Emma stood in the sewer getting reaquanted with each other, Emma was wearing a short dress made from brown rags, to be expected if the family had been living underground scavenging outfitst from the humans' trash
"Why are you dressed like the Wicked Witch of the West?" Emma asked Marzipan about her Mage Monarch outfit.
"This..." Marzipan took off her tall black witch hat and looked at it "This is my Mage Monarch Outfit I received from the Fairy Queen, I didn't choose it, this is just what I got."
"You've actually met Fairies!" Emma exclaimed her blue eyes sparkling with Kitten-like curiosity, as she remembered her life on Mizzer and like many Kmizzer Girls both human and Humanimal her head was full of daydreams about princesses and magic being 'swept off your feet' by dashing princes, Marzipan being the surely Tomboy she was prefered the idea of fighting villains herself rather than being rescued by a Prince, and in her daydream stories she often fought them by hitting them with a wooden mallet like she saw in the wackier cartoons.
"I've heard some of the Native Humanimals talk about Fairies but I've never seen any for myself..." Emma said as they made their way through the sewers to the hidden nest of fujitive Humanimals.
Meanwhile Emerald had led Donatello back to the Main Area of the Donwdeep-Downdeep. Don saw Bumble was instructing groups of Humanimals on what to do, Squeeks was quietly talking to some other Naked Mole Rats, and Don was able to see the family resemblence they had to be family.
"OK..." Squeeks said "So you all know what to do right?"
"Yes Squeeks." A Trio of Naked Mole Rat children, two girls and one boy they seemed to be in their upper elementery years, about eight or nine years old, Don could tell from they way they said it, they were weary of having to go over whatever drill Squeeks had been going over with them, but he could also see from the smiles on their faces when they said they did it because they loved Squeeks, and probobly because they were excited about the fact they were going to be free.
"Hey." Don said softly "Are these family of your's?"
The Naked Mole Rats at first just stared seeing the Turtle now weraring only a mask around his eyes, but they were also able to see he was covered by his shell, Squeeks said "Donatello, allow me to introduce my siblings, he wrapped his arm around the shoulder of young Naked Mole Rat-Woman "This is Bertha my oldest sister and sibling."
"I was 18 when the Invasion happened." Bertha said quietly
"And this are my younger siblings, the Triplets, the Girls Pebble and Clover." He touched the head as he said the name to show which one was which "And the boy Coriander." He touched the boys head "They are...The family I've managed to find and bring to the Capitol..." He said quietly obviosly feeling unhappy about the fact there still was family he still hadn't been able to find.
"How many more family members were there to find?" Don asked sympathetically
"Aside from Mom and Dad." Bertha said "There were two siblings between me and Squeeks one brother and one sister..." She sighed "The only reason he found me with the Triplets is I volanteered to take care of the the Triplets...I...I don't think Mom and Dad are around anymore, because I volanteered to look after the Triplets when they got shipped off witch a bunch of other burrowing Humanimals to a mine in some dessert land to the south."
"Yeah..." Squeeks sighed "Because of that little blindspot where and Oracle can't see the fate of either their parents of their children I have no way of knowing if Bertha's hunch is right..."
Originally there was going to be a much longer conversation between Belinda and Edward but I decided A, not a good idea to stand around blabbing when one is supposed to be on a secret mission and B, was going to reveal things I think should be saved for later, with it being recetly Father's Day the fact that Squeeks' parents got shipped to a mine is relevant because the First Father's Day got started in West Virgina because a whole bunch of men died in a mining accident
