Origami Chaos
Alya and Marinette leisurely walk down the vibrant streets of Paris, their eyes filled with excitement as they embark on a quest to discover outfit inspirations for the upcoming Masquerade dance. Temporarily setting aside their musings about the wielder of the Butterfly Miraculous, they choose to delve into the enchanting realm of fashion, immersing themselves in its captivating allure.
"I can't wait to see the dance performance come to life," Marinette gushes, her voice filled with anticipation. "I need to find the perfect outfit that reflects the elegance and energy of the choreography."
Alya nods enthusiastically, her eyes scanning the storefront displays. "Absolutely! And as the official photographer for the Ladyblog, I have to capture every stunning detail. We need to find outfits that make a statement on stage."
Marinette's face lights up with a mischievous smile. "Challenge accepted! Let's dive into this fashion treasure hunt and find the most extraordinary pieces that make the dancers shine."
As they browse through a variety of boutiques, their conversation flows seamlessly, blending their passion for fashion with their enthusiasm for the dance performance. They discuss colour schemes, fabrics and intricate details, envisioning the dancers adorned in their creations.
"Oh, look at this dress!" Alya exclaims, pointing to a mannequin displaying a flowing gown with delicate lace patterns. "Imagine the lead dancer wearing something like that. It would be breathtaking!"
Marinette's eyes sparkle with inspiration. "You're right! And what if we add some shimmering sequins to catch the stage lights? It would create a mesmerising effect during the performance."
Their excitement grows with each new discovery. They can't help but share their ideas with each other, laughing and exchanging playful banter, igniting their creative spirits even further.
"This boutique has some unique accessories," Marinette notes, pointing to a display of statement necklaces. "We can incorporate these bold pieces into the costumes to add an extra touch of glamour."
Alya nods in agreement. "Definitely! And let's not forget about the shoes. They have to be comfortable yet elegant, allowing the dancers to move with grace and confidence."
Walking down the bustling streets, a sudden gust of wind moment territory disturbs them, ruffling the displays and drawing their focus away from the outfits. Marinette's intuition kicks in, sensing that something is amiss. She can't quite put her finger on it, but something doesn't feel right. The strong gust blows past them, and a wrinkled piece of paper slaps Marinette square in the face.
"Ouch! What the—?" She sputters, but before she can finish, the piece of paper magically transforms into an origami bird that takes off into the air.
Alya arches an eyebrow. "Did that piece of paper just turn into a bird?"
Marinette contemplates, uncertain about what she just witnessed. "I'm not sure, but something tells me it's not a good sign."
Just then, they hear a scream coming from the distance, followed by strange sounds. The two girls stare at each other, then sprint down the street to investigate. It doesn't take them long to see a woman surrounded by a group of angry pigeons.
"Help! They won't leave me alone!" the woman cries.
Marinette and Alya quickly realise what is happening. An Akuma must have transformed the piece of paper into an origami bird and used it to create a swarm of pigeons. They know they have to act fast.
"Let's go Alya!" Marinette instructs, racing down the street and ducking out of sight.
"Right behind you girl!" Alya shouts, sprinting down the same streets.
Ladybug, now looking determined, appears from the secluded alley, yoyo in hand. Alya looks in awe at the spotted superhero standing proudly in front of her.
"I'm still not used to this girl."
Ladybug smiles warmly. "You'll get used to it eventually. Sorry I can't give you a Miraculous. Will you be alright sitting this one out?" Ladybug asks.
"Sure, no biggie. I'm lacking on Ladyblog material anyway."
Satisfied with the answer, Ladybug gives a curt nod and swings away, leaving Alya alone.
It doesn't take Ladybug long to arrive and spot the swarm of pigeons hovering over the screaming woman. On closer inspection, Ladybug notices that the birds are in fact, pecking and dive-bombing at the lady's hair and clothes. Ladybug knows she has to act fast before the situation gets any worse. She grabs her yoyo and swings it around, creating a shield around the woman to protect her from the birds.
"Ladybug!" Alya shouts, arriving on the scene.
"Alya! Stay back!" Ladybug warns, her arm outstretched. "Get Chat Noir here, quickly!"
Alya nods, pulling out her phone. She may not know his identity, but she doesn't need to. All she has to do is start recording for the Ladyblog and fate will do the rest.
It doesn't take long for the feline superhero to show up and join in with Ladybug at fending off the pigeons with his baton. Chat Noir is already sneezing uncontrollably by the time he arrives, his eyes watering as the birds flutter around him.
"Of all the animals I had to be allergic to, it had to be pigeons," he grumbles, rubbing his nose with the back of his hand. "It's bad enough Mr. Ramier gets akumatized on the regular, now this person too?"
Ladybug offers a sympathetic look as Chat sneezes again. "I have something that might help with your allergy."
Trying to hold back another sneeze, Chat glances at Ladybug but is unsuccessful—a loud sneeze escapes. "Yeah? I would have brought my own device, but I didn't have it on hand before getting here."
Getting back to the task at hand, Ladybug points to the woman who is staying as still as she can, despite being frightened.
"We need to find the Akuma and de-evilize it; but first we need to get rid of these pigeons."
Chat Noir nods in agreement. "I'll take the left, you take the right?"
Ladybug nods and they both spring into action, working together to fend off the attacking pigeons. It doesn't take long for the heroes to get rid of the birds, even with Chat Noir's constant sneezing. He still manages to ward off most of them.
"Get away!" Ladybug shouts as she knocks the last one to the ground.
"Thanks, M'Lady. That helps a lot," Chat says, with a relieved expression.
Helping the woman back on her feet, Ladybug checks to see if she is okay. After getting a shaky but firm response, Ladybug instructs the woman to get to safety.
"Here you go Chat," Ladybug calls out, pulling something out of her yoyo.
Chat Noir turns his head to find a small object heading his way. He catches it with one hand and inspects it closely.
"A nose clip, fantastic!" Chat Noir exclaims, putting it on. "You're a lifesaver."
Ladybug chuckles. "Thanks Chat, now let's go and find that Akuma."
They search the surrounding area looking for any clues or signs of the Akuma's presence. Noticing a trail of folded paper scattered on the ground, Ladybug points it out.
"Looks like our Akuma left a trail," she says, picking up one of the folded papers. "Let's follow it."
Chat Noir nods in agreement and they begin to follow the trail of folded paper. As they walk, Ladybug can't shake off the feeling of unease that has been nagging at her since earlier that morning. It is like a sense of foreboding that something bad is going to happen.
Suddenly they hear a loud crash coming from a nearby alleyway. Without hesitation they run towards the sound, only to find a group of pigeons attacking a young man. He is crouching low, his arms shielding his face from the onslaught of feathers and beaks.
"Chat Noir, cover him," Ladybug yells, swinging her yoyo around creating a shield to protect herself from the pigeons.
Chat Noir quickly springs into action, using his baton to swat away the pigeons while Ladybug pulls the young man to safety. Now out of harm's way, Ladybug turns her attention to the young man.
"Are you alright?" she asks, her voice laced with concern.
The young man nods shakily. "Thank you," his voice barely above a whisper.
Ladybug smiles warmly at him. "It's what we do, now can you tell us what happened?"
The young man takes a deep breath, his hands trembling slightly. "I was walking home from work and I saw a piece of paper on the ground. I picked it up and it turned into an origami bird. Before I knew it, there were pigeons everywhere."
Ladybug and Chat Noir exchange a knowing look. "We know what's going on. We need to find the Akuma and put a stop to this."
The young man nods, looking determined. "I'll help in any way I can."
They follow the trail of folded paper until it leads them to a familiar building. It is Collège Françoise Dupont. "What is the Akuma doing here?" Ladybug wonders.
"And why do I have a bad feeling about this?" Chat Noir asks, looking towards the school.
