Origamizer

Ladybug and Chat Noir enter the school with their guard up. The young man follows close behind, staying near the hero's side. They look around trying to spot any signs of the Akuma. They see more origami birds flying in the air, some of them carrying pieces of paper with messages on them.

"What do they say?" Ladybug asks, her expression pensive.

The young man grabs one of the papers and reads it aloud. "It says 'I'm sorry for everything. Please forgive me.'"

"Who wrote this?" Chat Noir enquiries.

"I don't know. But it sounds like someone who feels guilty about something." The young man points out.

"Maybe it's the Akuma. Maybe they're trying to apologise for something they did wrong." Ladybug suggests.

Chat Noir, always the voice of scepticism, raises an eyebrow. "Or it could be a cunning trap, a ploy to lure us into a false sense of sympathy."

Ladybug, never one to take chances, swiftly strategizes, "You might be right. Let's ensure safety first. I don't want anyone getting caught in the crossfire. Chat Noir can you escort this young man out of the school and any other people you see along the way?"

Chat Noir nods, guiding the man out of the school. Once safe, Chat Noir hurries back inside where Ladybug waits. Suddenly, a cacophony erupts from the cafeteria. They dash towards it, their hopes of finding the Akuma intensifying. Bursting through the door, they're left in awe by the surreal sight before them. The cafeteria is filled with origami animals of all kinds. There are lions, tigers, bears, elephants, giraffes, monkeys and more. They are all moving and making noises, creating a chaotic scene. In the middle of it all, there is a girl sitting on a table. She has long brown hair and green eyes. She is holding a pair of scissors and a stack of paper. She looks up and sees Ladybug and Chat Noir.

She smiles and waves at them. "Hi! Welcome to my origami zoo! Do you like it?" she asks, sounding hopeful.

Ladybug and Chat Noir recognize her instantly. Lila Rossi, a notorious liar and troublemaker.

"Lila? What are you doing here? What have you done?" Ladybug asks, horrified.

Lila shrugs. "I'm just having some fun. I've always loved origami, you know. It's such a beautiful art form. You can make anything you want with just a piece of paper and some scissors."

She cuts a piece of paper and folds it into an origami snake. She throws it at Ladybug and Chat Noir, who dodge it.

"See! Isn't it amazing?" Lila exclaims.

"It's not amazing, it's dangerous! You're hurting people with your origami!" Chat Noir states.

Lila frowns. "Oh, don't be such a party pooper. I'm not hurting anyone, I'm just expressing myself."

She cuts another piece of paper and folds it into an origami dragon. She throws it at them and they dodge again.

"Besides, I have a good reason for doing this." Lila admits.

"What reason?" Ladybug asks.

Lila looks at them with a sad expression. "I'm sorry for everything. I'm sorry for lying to everyone. I'm sorry for hurting Marinette. I'm sorry for being a bad person."

Ladybug and Chat Noir are stunned. They didn't expect Lila to apologise. They wonder if her apology is sincere.

"Why are you apologising now? What changed?" Ladybug asks.

Lila sighs. "I don't know. I guess I just realised how lonely and miserable I am. I lie because I want people to like me. I want to be popular and admired, but it never works; people always find out the truth and hate me. Even the ones who pretend to be my friends are only using me for their own benefit."

Ladybug and Chat Noir exchange a quick glance, trying to read each other's expressions. Lila looks at them with tears in her eyes.

"You two are the only ones who ever cared about me. You always tried to help me, even when I was mean to you. You always gave me a chance, even when I didn't deserve it. You always saw the good in me, even when I didn't see it in myself." She sniffs and wipes her nose. "You're the best heroes ever! I don't deserve you."

Chat Noir takes a step forward, addressing Lila. "So you expect us to believe that you suddenly want to turn over a new leaf and become a better person?"

Lila looks at him with a hurt expression. "Yes Chat Noir. I know I've done some terrible things but I want to make amends. I want to be someone that everyone else can trust."

Ladybug looks at Chat Noir then back at Lila. "Lila, if you're serious about this, you need to prove it to us. You need to show us that you're willing to change your ways and make up for your mistakes."

Lila nods eagerly. "I am serious, Ladybug. I know I've lied and manipulated people in the past, but I want to make things right. I want to be someone that people can rely on."

Chat Noir raises an eyebrow. "Okay, then prove it. What do you say, Ladybug? Should we give her a chance?"

Ladybug considers this for a moment, then nods slowly. "Alright Lila, we'll give you a chance to prove yourself but you need to show us that you're serious about this. You can't just say that you want to change; you need to show us that you're willing to put in the work and make things right."

Lila looks at Ladybug and Chat Noir with gratitude. "Thank you, both of you. I won't let you down, I promise."

The two heroes watch as Lila approaches the Akuma, her hands raised in a gesture of peace.

"Please Akuma, stop this madness. We don't have to fight. Let me help you." Lila pleads, her attention focused on the purple butterfly.

The Akuma wavers, hesitating in its actions causing Ladybug and Chat Noir to hold their breath in anticipation. However just as they prepare for a confrontation, the butterfly-like Akuma flickers and vanishes, leaving both heroes puzzled and on high alert.

"Where did it disappear to? Can it simply vanish like that?" Chat Noir questions, gripping his baton tightly, prepared for any potential attack.

Ladybug's unease is evident as she surveys their surroundings, trying to make sense of its sudden disappearance. "This doesn't feel right," she admits, her eyes scanning for any signs of the elusive Akuma.

Their confusion is short-lived when Lila's voice rings out, brimming with triumph and malice.

"Gotcha!" she declares with a wicked grin, revealing herself as the orchestrator behind the Akuma's peculiar behaviour.

Realisation dawns on Ladybug and Chat Noir. Lila has been manipulating them all along, pretending to be sorry and helpful but in reality she is on the Shadow Moth's side. The two superheroes could only watch in horror as Lila's body gets engulfed by the familiar black and purple liquid. Moments later Lila, the newest Akuma victim stands proud. Her hair is long and dark and her eyes glow a deep purple colour. She wears a long modem style Japanese dress with flares at the knee. The dress has folded paper origami animals, weapons and throwing stars embroidered into the material itself, giving it a traditional feel. The hat on her head has the same design as the dress but more of a samurai warrior to it. The Akuma's weapon of choice appears to be a giant paper sword with the same patterns and a pointy edge.

Gazing at the outfit, Ladybug can't help but feel a little envious of the mixture of the two designs and how they work so well together. It was hard to create such an outfit to be so elegant. She had definitely tried and yet Shadow Moth seemed to manage it without any problems.

"Umm, Ladybug?" Chat Noir questions, looking over at his partner.

Shaking her head, Ladybug snaps out of it. "Right, sorry."

Taking a deep breath Ladybug charges forward, ready to attack but Lila is faster and throws an origami crane at her, knocking her off balance.

"Ahhh!" Ladybug yells, skidding across the floor.

Chat Noir moves in to defend his partner but Lila is already folding a new weapon; this time a paper fan. She swipes it at Chat Noir, sending him flying backwards and into a wall.

"Lila stop!" Ladybug pleads.

"I'm not Lila anymore. Call me Origamizer!"

Getting to their feet Ladybug and Chat Noir charge again towards Origamizer, their respective weapons spinning. Origamizer snarls and uses her fan again, knocking both heroes off their feet once more.

"You really think you both can stop me? I have the power of paper on my side!"

Origamizer continues to taunt the heroes, using her origami weapons to keep them at bay. She watches one while pretending not to notice the other sneaking closer. She would then send that hero flying across the room, making sure they struck the wall harder each time.

Ladybug struggles to her feet, panting heavily. She can't let Origamizer win, not when there is so much at stake, but her mind is starting to spin. What can they do to stop this akumatized villain?

"Chat Noir, any ideas?" Ladybug asks, hoping he can think of something.

Chat Noir rubs his sore shoulder, his mind racing as well. "Maybe if we can get close enough, we can grab her fan and break it. That might weaken her powers."

Ladybug nods, impressed with his quick thinking. "Good idea, let's try it."

The heroes leap into action once more, dodging and weaving through Origamizer's attacks. Ladybug charges towards her while Chat Noir approaches from the side. Origamizer sees them coming and sends a flurry of paper cranes and planes at them.

Ladybug uses her yo-yo to swing around the projectiles, while Chat Noir somersaults over them. As they close in on her, Ladybug makes a lunge for the fan. Origamizer tries to smack her away with it but Chat Noir intercepts, grabbing the fan before it can hit Ladybug.

With a smirk Chat Noir activates his cataclysm, breaking the fan and causing Origamizer to cry out in agony. Her powers flicker and her origami weapons fall to the ground. Ladybug seizes the opportunity and uses her lucky charm to create a pair of scissors. She charges at Origamizer, snipping away the remaining paper in her hands.

"No more evil-doing for you little Akuma. Time to de-evilize!" Ladybug declares, capturing the Akuma in her yo-yo and freeing Lila from its grasp.

Lila falls to the ground, annoyed at the situation. Ladybug and Chat Noir slowly make their way to her. Ladybug bends down and holds out a hand.

"Come on Lila, time to go home."

"Don't touch me!" Lila snaps, batting Ladybug's hand away. "I don't need your help."

Ladybug recoils slightly, hurt by Lila's words. "Okay, we won't touch you, but please listen to me. Shadow Moth's power is stronger now than it was before. We have a charm that can help fight it off. Please take it."

Lila looks sceptical but also exhausted. She nods reluctantly and Ladybug hands her the charm. Lila hesitates for a moment before slipping it onto her wrist. Almost instantly, the dark aura around her dissipates and she sighs in relief.

"I... I feel better. What was that?" Lila asks, looking up at Ladybug.

"It was Shadow Moth's power. The charm you're wearing shields you from being akumatized again."

Lila nods, looking thoughtful. "I... I think I understand now. Thank you Ladybug."

Ladybug smiles warmly at her. "Of course, we're here to help."
