Odalia growled in frustration, glaring daggers at the guard of the human realm door. Hiding in an alley near the portal door with a spell on it for extra measure, she searched the area with her second-hand Orcale stone. She scowled as she saw both the ex-Golden Guard and Eda's mutt of a son hidden not too far from the portal.
With another growl, Odalia stopped her search and glared at the door again.
"How did it come to this?" she asked herself angrily. "My planning was flawless as usual."
Odalia thought back to the last two months, and her scowl deepened as she remembered how she struggled through them.
After breaking herself and the former emperor out of prison, Odalia retrieved her secret funds. She was glad she thought ahead and kept a couple of thousand snails from Blight Insturties's inventors to herself.
After all, no one would complain if some of her company's products broke because of second-hand or faulty parts.
Odalia growled as she realized her struggles began shortly after retrieving her secret funds. She wasn't an idiot and knew she couldn't count on her "replacement" in the conformatorium to last long. So, to keep off the radar, she resigned herself to staying in out-of-the-way places, like unknown three-star hotels.
"...Why can't those run-down ratworm holes have a spa?" Odalia grumbled.
After establishing a base of operation for herself, she made plans to return her dear Mittens to her rightful place. To that end, she started watching the house where the lowlifes had taken Amity hostage.
She had spent 11 minutes out of each week for the last two months staking out the "Owl Shake," learning all she could about the criminals that had brainwashed her daughter.
"Why couldn't you understand, Mittens? I cursed you so you would see the light," Odalia muttered melodramatically. "No one but me knows what's best for you."
She took her head to clear it. Now wasn't the time to get caught up in her own drama.
Odalia started another spell and saw that Belos's brat or the mutt hadn't moved. She next turned her attention to the guard at the door. She tried to blast the fool with a mind-control spell but stopped when she felt another spell pushing against hers.
She growled when she realized the guard had an anti-oracle shield on himself and stopped trying to invade his thoughts. She began pacing up and down the alley. She thought back to the incident a few days ago.
"...Everything was planned out so well," she grumbled, "So what went wrong?"
She had all planned to the smallest detail; she had brought a product from HER company to spike that criminal family's illegal goods. She sadistically grinned as she envisioned it. The criminals would be searching for the lowlife human frantically, unaware of their own changes or what really happened to that brat.
In the middle of all the chaos, Odalia bursts into the "owl shack," easily defeats the Clawthornes, and takes Mittens away to be unbrainwashed.
She stopped her pacing and glared at the portal with all of her scorn. She knew she could turn this around; she just needed to find the right angle.
Suddenly, she heard a deranged cackle and growled as she looked behind her. The former emperor was beating his head against the wall, leaving some sludge on it. Odalia watched with growing disdain as Belos pulled his head back and slammed it into the wall again.
"It's no wonder why that lowlife human girl beat you," Odalia commented with disgust.
The ex-Blight cocked an eyebrow as Belos suddenly stopped and stared blankly ahead. Odalia watched as the former emperor's body shook violently. Belos suddenly screamed in bloody murder and began thrashing about wildly, his body shifting violently.
Odalia gasped and ducked as a ball of sludge went her way. She grabbed her oracle stone and made a spell circle as her stone glowed. She sent a calm-your-mind spell to the former emperor, and he quickly calmed down.
The ex-CEO scowled as she straightened up and looked over her shoulder. She wasn't surprised that the former emperor's outburst didn't draw attention; she had an "out-of-sight-out-of-mind spell on the mouth of the alley, so no one would hear or see anything if they weren't next to the alley.
With a slight scowl, Odalia looked back at Belos. "Maybe keeping you around wasn't one of my better plans?"
The former CEO frowned as she wondered what triggered the man in the first place. She replayed the last minute in her mind and realized the reason; when she mentioned the human girl, Belos snapped.
A sadistic grin spread across Odalia's face as a plan formed. She started a spell circle and grabbed her oracle stone as her eyes glowed in rhythm with the item.
"Now…Let's see how much is left of your mind and just how I can use you to get what I want," Odalia said sadistically.

I hope I did this right, as I wanted to go into more depth about how far detached from reality Odalia was becoming. Also, I would like to hear from your lot; do you want another chapter featuring Odalia and have a few others reacting to her detachment?
But that is down the line. Next, you'll learn how the witches were able to use Glyphs in Amphibia. Also, we find out about a surprising connection with everyone's favorite spiritual daddy.
