Chapter 25
Chusi was sitting at home when she heard it. Just from the corner of her eye, she saw the dark figures approaching. Of course, she paid no mind to this. Recently, she has learned now to knit from Choso and was working on baby blankets and other clothing. "I am really not in the mood for this…" she warned the stalkers. "If you don't mind, please take this outside…"
Her stalkers didn't even get a word in when suddenly, they were forced out of the house like a bad smell! The second fox legion stumbled outside and was stunned to be thrown back by such a force! "Who did that?!" the leader demanded.
A nine tails confronted them; he was completely black in color with highlights of red within. Like his brother, he bore fire on the tips of his nine tails. "So… NOISY!" he protested.
What was strange though was the black mask he wore, it hid everything but his lower jaw to the foxes. What fox hides their identity like this?
"Who are you!? Who gave birth to a whelp like you! We were never informed of a new fox!"
He merely smiled. "I'm hers…" he said and pointed behind them.
The legion turned and saw Kitsune standing there, burning with rage. "Cousins…" she said in a stern tone. "Who gives you the right to attack the family of a dragon's guardian?" she asked in a calm and yet upset tone.
"You do not question the dragon's order!"
"Then why are you trying to destroy the one family that tended to them so carefully?!" she demanded.
"Mortals are mortals, they are NOTHING like us! We were told to eliminate the Tooru women and just the women. None of the males!"
"That wasn't the answer to my question…" Kitsune began to seethe in anger. "Now, you will answer me… WHY ARE YOU TARGETING THE TOORU FAMILY!"
She erupted in anger, her body turned blood red as Kitsune unleashed a power not many knew she possessed.
But there was suddenly another surge… the black fox was staring at them, and brimming with just as much power as his mother! "YOU UPSET MY MOTHER! PAY FOR YOUR SIN!" he roared.
The young fox unleashed a black fire from his obsidian fan. No one remained afterwards.
"Well done my child," Kitsune said proudly.
He lowered his head. "Thank you mother. How are brother and sister doing?"
"Oh, I think your sister is just getting into the swing of things. She went to defend Mochi Tooru…" Kitsune paused as she peered out over the domain. There was a sudden explosion of red and white fire. "Ah, there she is!" she said proudly. "My goodness, she is getting good with that control over the white and red flame…"
"She has trained hard on that," her son said in agreement.

It was over.
In less than three hours, the divine who came to attack, have been defeated. There ended up being a lot more bodies to deal with than usual. "I have butchered all that I could for the time being…" Sukuna said offhandedly.
"I gathered all the materials you wanted, the rest is surplus," Naoya explained.
"If the divine want and you are meat eaters, take your fill!" Suiryu called. "You worked hard and we thank you for your efforts, if you need help from us…"
"That's adorable…" Kitsune said offhandedly, she paused for a moment before peering at Sukuna and then back at Suiryu. "I owe you SUCH an apology" she said and sighed.
"Nah, don't worry about it," Suiryu said and waved it off.
"Somehow, I feel offended" Sukuna muttered. Yet there was a pause that came over him. Kitsune had gone to her three children and looked them over, none were harmed but still, a mother inspects her children.
"No one told us, Kitsune! Congratulations!" Yuuji called.
She paused and forced a smile oddly enough. "Oh, well, thank you, young master. I didn't wish to trouble anyone, and I had over ten thousand sisters to help me," she insisted.
Suiryu then looked about, but… why was Sukuna smiling oddly?
The divine took their share and left, but there was still a lot of meat. The one place that had all the ingredients that Sukuna wanted though… Well, Rook came by later on and saw them being… prepared.
"Uh… Oji… are those…" Rook began to ask.
"Livers? Yes, yes they are boy" he said and smiled wickedly. "Prepare your taste buds for this…"
Rook looked pale as he turned to Suiryu with a disturbed look on his face. "You mean to tell me, he's was WORST than this?"
Suiryu smirked as he patted Rook's shoulder in attempt to comfort him. "This… is him being good," he said bluntly.
"UGH!" Rook cringed. He does have a weakness, he HATES liver.
And yet, there was Sukuna, sitting by a prep table, breaking down and cleaning the livers with such care before cutting them into chunks and tossing them into a pot.
It was the pot that worried him. "Suiryu… that's the pressure cooking pot, isn't it?" he asked nervously.
"Yeah… can't say I envy you. At the same time, you asked for this. It's best you see it through or he may never take your request seriously again…"
Rook gulped nervously but sighed, surrendering to his fate.
