Chapter 27

Sukuna had a feeling this day would come. He just didn't think it would be so soon. On average a Tooru in such distress like this takes at least a year to reach this point, but now. Yua had done so in four months.

'Perhaps it is her will to live, and that of her living children…' he thought to himself.

Yet on the way, Shellboy has been trying to explain the situation. "I have never seen this at the same time… it's the only thing she can say… she can't stop saying it… Sukuna…"

He went into the hospital room. Six Eyes sat there, startled, worried as to what he needed to do. "Sukuna…

"The elders send their regards…" came out of a weak Yua. It was just above a whisper but she uttered that over and over again.

The elders send their regards.

Sukuna… never knew such a feeling existed before, it shouldn't exist and yet…

He took a deep breath through his nose before exhaling out his stomach mouth. "Shellboy, get the brats."

He merely nodded and left. Sukuna then peered to Six Eyes who was crying for his wife. "Yua, please snap out of it, please… it breaks my heart to see you like this!"

"Take it as a backhanded compliment." Sukuna explained. "It means she is recovering, at the moment, her mind is trying to make sense and rationalize what has happened, it will take time for her to break out of it. But this is a good thing."

Six Eyes was silent.

"So, you asked for us?"

He turned and saw the knockoff and brat. He stood up before them and said. "Let's take out who we can tonight."

This caught the two off guard but, there were devious grins seen on their faces. "Oh we have been waiting for you to say that!" the knockoff decreed.

"Huh?"

"Mom told us not to strike until you were ready, it sounds like you are ready." Said the brat. But… why does he smile like him?

Sukuna merely nodded to them, it was time to strike back, the council must have been at ease to learn that there was no retaliation. At the same time, they also don't know that he is among them… and Sukuna can hold a grudge!

So with that decided he excused himself for a moment and returned to Six Eyes. Sukuna stared at him and sighed. "I have some things to take care of, when I return… we can switch." He decreed.

Six Eyes paused to this. "Switch?! How?" he asked in a confused tone. "Chusi is expecting…"

"I can do it,"

Silence.

Six Eyes stared at him in disbelief. "You?"

"Residual energy, also Mother Tooru gave me the technique. I can swap us, but I have some things to take care of."

He was rather surprised that six eyes didn't argue with him, but after all, before he could speak, his comatose wife did.

"The elders send their regards…"

"Then swap with me when you return."

Sukuna nodded but did one better, he casted the jujutsu and explained the change will occur at midnight.

With that he walked out and found the brat and knockoff. They were speaking to one another until a plan was made, but, there was an agreement too.

Whoever found the top crop as it were for the elders first, gets first dibs.

"I'll agree to this," Sukuna stated.

"Me too… but where are you going to look?" the brat asked.

He merely smiled at him with a wicked grin.

"So be it, good luck everyone… leave no survivors." The knockoff stated.

"Couldn't have said it better myself…" Sukuna said proudly.

Tonight huh?

Rook lingered outside and listened. They were going to strike against the elders? Why aren't they invited? Why can't they go and do this? Rook wanted nothing more than to prove himself to Oji that he is ready for something like this, at the same time, he never said a word to them.

"Why are we being left out!?" Rook said in frustration.

"Something on your mind?"

He turned and saw Shin lingering. Mochi was close behind him. He nudged his head away from the house, they don't want their aunt listening in.

When they were a distance, Rook told them what he heard. At the same time, he looked to his siblings. "Are we strong enough to take down the bastards that hurt mom?" he asked of them.

Shin paused to this. "What do you…"

"I have their scent." Rook said bluntly. "When mom came home after the attack, dad took her clothing away… I got the scent of one of the men who attacked mom. He was a heavenly restricted sorcerer like me, which is how he was able to sneak up on her and get pass dad. But the others are sorcerers."

Shin froze. Mochi appeared to be thinking it over. "We shouldn't leave the domain…" she said.

"But, I also want to avenge mom and our siblings." Shin muttered.

Rook nodded. "So, what say you?"

Shin, nodded his head to the notion. Mochi followed and agreed. "Good, let's go now while everyone else is busy…"
