As night fell, Taeko returned to Yelenhelm via the warp to find Cassidee and Tera in casual home clothes on the couch watching television. He had made five [Bee Houses] before coming over.
"Hey, I'm back. Tera, I need to have a talk with Cassidee. So here…" Taeko said giving a bottle of Shadowy Desires. "[Mango Wine]. My high-quality stuff for you to take to your friends to drink with."
Tera had forgotten that Taeko did produce his liquor and gestured for him to come. To which she stood on the couch to kiss him.
"Thank you, daddy." Tera said.
"So it's daddy." Cassidee teased.
"And you won't tell anyone." Tera pouted. "That's an order."
"To be fair, she can at least order you to do that." Taeko mused.
"Ok, answer me this…did he ask you to call him that or are you doing it out of your own volition?" Cassidee asked.
"He didn't ask…I just called him that in the heat of the moment before…and I like it." Tera said before getting on her sandals. "I'm out."
She left as Cassidee laughed.
"Kokiri tend not to like the whole daddy/mommy kink. Somehow you got one that does…you have some kind of luck." Cassidee remarked.
"Well you got some too…because I'm dropping you from farmhand assistant…to officially promote you as my personal assistant for business assets in Yelenhelm." Taeko said as she went wide eyed.
"Really?" Cassidee said, getting up.
"I realized you're better at getting information and you know the streets. You can leave the farmwork to the munchkins." Taeko said to her as she bowed respectfully.
"Thank you, Taeko. I won't disappoint you." Cassidee said. "But what happens now?"
"Getting you your own place at least. I got a capsule for a capsule home that my head assistant on the mainland, Velma, sent for you." Taeko said, giving her two capsules. "Even a capsule to store your rides.
"I can set it up in the woods." Cassidee said. "But can I do that tomorrow?"
He nodded as he began to explain a few things.
"Just turn my old room into a home office…considering how isolated the place is…it'd be perfect for you to just have a home office for convenience." Cassidee pointed out. "And easier budget-wise."
"That's not a bad idea. I guess I'll also have to look into real estate when I have guests over." Taeko mused.
"As you should…as for that other thing. I might be able to get you underground…got something to discuss yourself as an elf." Cassidee said, revealing the [Hylian Ears]. "Perfect. I know a guy. Let me call him. You should go…take a shower. I can still smell me on you."
Taeko went to take a bath as Cassidee got on the phone.
"Hey, Jack. It's Cassidee…I…wait…are you guys ok? I see…well I told you that Rachel was a backstabber." Cassidee said. "Shit, it got to Frank too. Ok, where are you guys? …All right, I have a friend who can help. But what about Rachel? The Yelenhelm West Bridge is closed down, but…that's not a bad thing."
Taeko came down in a black tank top under a gray Penetrator hoodie, a pair of urban camo cargo pants with a black belt, his usual fingerless gloves, silver round-toe boots, a black beanie, and a black bandana tied around his right arm. He slipped the [Hylian Ears] on…and the rings weren't visible on him.
"You'd make for a handsome drow." Cassidee remarked. "But we have a problem. My contact has an issue and needs to get out GG along with two others. However, before you do…there's this woman you need to get rid of…Rachel Am-"
She was cut off by the door knocking. Taeko answered to see the elf version of Rachel Amber put a gun in his face demanding keys to his boat.
BLAM!
Rachel looked down to see he had a gun and he had just shot her in the stomach. She dropped her gun in shock, stumbling back. With a kick to the chest, he sent Amber down into the sand. He promptly took the wallet and keys before tossing the wallet to Cassidee.
"Am I going to have an issue getting rid of her?" Taeko asked.
"Depends, can you get rid of a body?" Cassidee said as Taeko smirked as he vaporized Rachel with an energy blast leaving something but charred sand and bits of glasses. "Well that takes care of that bitch. I'll take her gun. Look, take her car and head to Gorgeous Gale, my friend…Jack. He's in deep shit in a firefight and needs to get out of there. Either get them out of GG or just kill all mooks trying to kill them. I'll deal with the glasses."
Taeko headed out, finding that Rachel had a black [VC Infernus]...and he got in to drive off for Gorgeous Gale. He noticed a duffel bag in the passenger seat and opened it to find cash. 25,000 Gs. He zipped it closed, having a feeling she definitely stole this from someone. It was rather bizarre to even see what was basically 'Arcadia Bay'...especially given he'd never really played all of Life is Strange. Regardless, the radar led him to Arcadia Bay Cemetery where the firefight was going on. He was not too surprised to see Southside Hoods (well, the Purple Nines) given…that Shoreside Vale was there. It did explain why Kyu mentioned that were going to be no hoods on the mainland. It was still a bit jarring; the thugs were mostly drow women with a few men there. He revved the engine and came barrelling into the cemetery…running over several goons before hitting the brakes. Gunfire hit the truck as Taeko got out a [Mega Bomb] to leave in the truck before getting out. The duffel bag was on his back. The explosion was enough for him to blend into the night and tie his black bandana around his lower face. He opened fire with his [XS-2 Ultimax] blowing the head off a gangbanger and getting another in the leg. The hoods were pistols, bats, and uzis…but Taeko paid mind to the one guy with an assault rifle.
"You think you can mess with the Purple Nines and live, motherfucker!" One gangbanger bellowed as a [Mega Bomb] rolled towards him. "What the f-"
Taeko shot it, blowing it up in the mook's face and blinding the other mooks long enough to fire at them with his [Carbine Rifle]. Out from being hidden, someone shot down the last two.
"You the guy Cassidee sent?" A male voice asked.
"Yes." Taeko said, putting the gun away.
Taeko used [Observe] as the figures moved out of the shadows which revealed Frank Bowers along with Jack and Melanie Walker. At this point, Taeko was not even surprised to see more mirrors from the DCAU. His thoughts moved to Frank who was clearly mortally wounded and was followed by a dog. German Shepherd Pitbull Mix who looked sad to see his owner in pain.
"Shit. I can-"
"No, it's not going to work…not enough time. And your explosions are going to attract the cops. Tell Cassidee thanks for seeing help. What happened to Rachel?" Frank asked, coughing blood.
"Dead. She tried to rob a noble for a boat." Taeko said plainly as Frank just shook his head in disbelief.
"I'm not surprised…but go…you guys need to get out of here. At least with a gun in my hand…they'll think this was a drug deal gone wrong." Frank said as he collapsed. "Jack, Melanie…take care of Pompidou."
Sirens in the distance as the living left as Frank took his last breaths before passing on. Taeko took up the keys to one of the dead gangbanger's [Hood Rumpo XL] which was thankfully unmarked. Taeko and the group got in and made their escape.
"She's dead, isn't she?" Melanie asked.
"Yup." Takeo remarked.
"Figures, but we're all fucked." Jack bitterly said as Melanie called up someone.
"Eliza. Where are you?" Melanie asked. "Change of plans. Meet us at the lighthouse…now. Also bring the inventory you have. All of it."
She hung up asking Taeko to head for the lighthouse. Jack had explained that Rachel had ripped them and several Purple Nines off in an attempt to skip town. Melanie had her suspicions but she had a feeling it was more than likely Rachel used Cloe for a patsy.
"Here." Taeko said, giving them the duffel bag. "It was in the car Rachel had."
Jack opened it to see only 25 grand, and he knew there was supposed to be more.
"Wait, was that Infernus was what she was driving?" Jack asked as Taeko nodded. "The bitch blew most of the money on the car…"
They arrived at the hill that had the lighthouse and drove up. Not long after, a candy red [Cavalcade FXT] with gold rims arrived at the warehouse. Taeko hung back with the dog to let Jack and Melanie handle it. He was not surprised to see Eliza was basically the elf Chloe Price, but there were clear differences aside from the elf ears. She had a light dusting of freckles on her face, the parting of her mostly undyed hair was mirrored in the other direction, two inches shorter, and her dyed strands of hair were pink. Taeko could not believe he was thinking this, but Eliza looked more of a poser than Chloe. She was clearly trying too hard to look 'hood' and Taeko was trying not to laugh.
She wore a pink baggy t-shirt under an oversized white puffy jacket with white fur lined collar, gold chains around her neck, a dark blue beanie, a pair of gray baggy cargo pants, icy white hi-top sneakers. The jacket alone was a bit too big for her thin frame. Compared to Melanie and Jack, who dressed more practical with some hints to their stylings.
"Cloe, what the fuck are you wearing?" Melanie asked as Jack tried not to laugh.
"My new fit, girl. I look hella fly." Eliza boasted.
"You look like a try-hard." Melanie said bluntly. "And it's clear you spent a lot of cash on that 'fit'. Cash that Rachel stole from us and the Purple Nines."
"Wait, what? I thought Rachel saw up a deal between you guys and the Nines. I was supposed to wait at the hideout and-"
"Let me stop you there. It's clear you were a patsy…because that wasn't a deal she set up. She set up an ambush. Rachel sold us and that branch of the Nines out…to most likely to Nathan. He stood to benefit the most from that sect of the Nines and us being killed off. Me and Jack would have been dead or in a jail cell if not for Cassidee sending help at the last minute!" Jack ranted. "And Frank…Frank's dead, Eliza."
"...What about Rachel?" Eliza asked as the siblings glared at her angrily.
"Well she's dead too…" Jack remarked.
Jack decided not to tell Eliza how that happened.
"Oh my god…"
The bravado of hers had a damper in it.
"We called you here to get our product back…I was going to give you a severance, but considering you already spent it..." Melanie said as Jack moved to get the weed only to find one package of it. "We gave you four packages."
"Yeah, Rachel said she had found a potential buyer…and took it to set up a deal." Eliza said sheepishly.
"Considering the car Rachel had exploded, that weed is likely toast." Melanie said. "So all we have left is one package of weed, pocket change, and Frank's dog."
"Come on, we can-"
"I warned you about Rachel…but you didn't listen. Now we have nothing." Melanie said bitterly. "You don't even know if had Rachel's plan worked that you would have been dead or the scapegoat."
At a lost for words, Eliza backed into her car and drove off without a home as Melanie slumped to the ground. Taeko got out of the van coming up to her and Jack.
"Where were you guys living in?" He asked.
"A van…but it got tor-" Jack said before Taeko tossed her the keys. "Oh…thanks."
"You're welcome…and I got a proposal. I got a supply of weed, and a farm to make it. If I can import it over here…can you guys sell it?" Taeko asked.
The siblings looked at Taeko and asked where the farm was. When he mentioned mainland Ferngill, Melanie shook her head.
"No dice. We'd probably need either a private dock or a plane to deliver the goods to a pickup spot. Even then, we'd need a warehouse. Do you have the means?" Melanie asked.
Taeko simply took off the beanie, bandana, and [Hylian Ears] which got both siblings to realize who he was.
"I got the means." Taeko said confidently.
"My lord!" They said before bowing respectfully.
"You can rise…and please I'm not that much older than you…just call me Kiba." Taeko said putting the ears back in place.
"How did Cassidee get to know a noble?" Jack asked.
"Stroke of luck, really. I'm a man in a strange new country…and she happened to be in the right place and time to meet. At first, I made her my farmhand assistant, but I 'promoted' to be my personal assistant over my Yelenhlem operations as a whole. And I want you two to be my lieutenants for Shadowrun. You got experience and you can take charge." Taeko mused. "I just need to ask one thing, you got people who can sell it?"
"Yeah, Frank had a few people. I can cal-"
"Wait, I just got one request. 100 grand. Me and my brother were trying to get enough cash to at least get a house and…"
"Hold on one second." Taeko remarked before calling up Velma to ask about capsules.
It cost him 10,000 gold, but a helicopter flew by them dropping the package for him.
"Thanks, V." Taeko said before hanging up.
When he explained what the package was, the pair were grateful for the act of kindness. In turn, they gave Taeko the money before exchanging numbers.
"We owe you for saving our necks. How soon can you get this set up?" Jack asked.
"A few days or less…I need to sleep on it." Taeko remarked putting back on the beanie and tying the bandana back on his arm. "But here…"
He gave Jack a bottle of [Pineapple Wine].
"Iridium quality of my brand of wine to celebrate our partnership." Taeko said before leaving on foot.
Jack wanted to try, but Melanie pointed out that they needed to check on the others. She called the three dealers under Frank's employ and they met up at the lighthouse. The fraternal Rabel twins (Dan and Danielle) showed up first via being dropped off in a blue and black [Surfer].
"What the hell happened? Our old apartment got swamped by Purple Nines." Dan asked.
"Rachel backstabbed us." Melanie said bluntly.
"I fucking called it." Danielle said. "Dan, I told you keeping our plan to live in a van secret would save us."
"Ok, I admit it…" Dan remarked. "I called Cormac…he should be here now."
Unlike the others, Cormac lived out in the woods out of an RV like Frank's. He arrived on his motorcycle, a black [Hexer].
"Ok, what happened?" Cormac asked.
"Remember that paranoia we all had about Rachel? It was justified." Melanie said before explaining what happened in the past few minutes.
Disbelief was on their faces.
"Damn, I guess we owe Cassidee our lives." Cormac remarked. "But shit…Frank…man. If it's ok, I can look after Pompidou."
"We all will." Dan said. "What about Cloe?"
"Mel cut her off. I'm not letting her lay a finger on this new operation…and as far as we're concerned. She is out." Jack remarked. "Any objections?"
It was mostly nos.
"Good…" Jack remarked, tossing Dan the keys to the van. "Here. Bossman gives me and Mel something to use…but we should all get into the woods. So you're driving."
"I can take you guys to my spot." Cormac said, revving his bike up.
"Let's go by the gas station, first. I want something to eat." Dan said getting in the car. "But damn, a noble."
"We have to keep that secret. As far as everyone else knows, it's just Kiba." Jack mused.
~MoS~
Taeko had wandered the town looking around before coming up to a parking lot with a few cars, and spying one he would take, an Annis [ZR-350]. And seeing there was a mod garage nearby, he took the car and drove it right on over into it. Immediately, he got a 100% Armor Upgrade, race brakes, a roll cage, competition suspension, Xenon lights, limo tinted windows, carbon louvers on the back windows, a carbon tuner roof scoop, a carbon street splitter, an optional spoiler, turbo tuning, and green neon all around the car. He even got the car repainted to black, LozSpeed Ten chrome rims painted gold, and nitrous. The discount led to the cost of repair and modifications to 133,364 gold.
Taeko drove it out.
"I'll keep Wheel Arch Angels in mind." Taeko mused. "Now to find some real estate."
He drove around and wound up driving to a place triggering a short random event. He arrived at a house, a decent sized bungalow (that resembled the Clinton residence), to see a panicked man throwing things into a beat up [Blista Compact].
"Yo, you ok?" Taeko said only for the panicked man to pull a gun on him. "Whoa, man…I'm not a cop."
"Sorry…how did you know I have a cop problem?" He asked him.
"I didn't. Lucky guess….and I'll take a shot in the dark and say dirty cops." Taeko said.
"Yeah, real bitches who think they harass the men around with no power." He said. "So I need to get out…"
Taeko had an idea.
"How about I help you?" Taeko said getting his phone out. "With a call, I will get you a helicopter ride to Ferngill. All I ask for is your house in exchange."
The man looked at Taeko and over at his clearly customized tuner.
"Twenty five grand. That's to at least reimburse for my car and pay for my plane ticket."
Taeko was more than happy to agree to the terms as he called SercoServ for a pick up. Taeko would aid in loading his things into the chopper. He paid him and sent him off on his way, watching them go.
[Your good actions bear fruit. Your money will be reimbursed.]
"Sweet, my money back." Taeko mused. "And I get a [Blista Compact]."
He put both cars in the garage before going inside. It was a low-end place but he was surprised it was completely clean given the former owner was a junkie of some sort. He shrugged it off before using [Fast Travel] to return to his beach farm. It had been a long day…and the last thing he wanted to do was set down the [Bee Houses] to which he did on the green with each one in a different spot where he could use his hoe to till a spot for a flower to be planted. He was simply pleased that the warp pad in the farmhouse made it easy to go and get some [Poppy Seeds] and the materials he needed to make [Deluxe Speed-Gro]. He was able to plant it…and be more than pleased it was only going to take one day. He returned home to go down to the cellar to get the twelve bottles of [Mead] and the popsicles. He put all that [Mead] in the selling bin…and was off to bed.

(Day 1 Total Profits: 35,680 Gold + (Business Profits: 96,300) = 131,980 Gold)
(Stardew Shadow's Total Profits (This adds all the money made by the end of each day): 131,980 Gold)
(A/N: What a bang the summer has started on, and no I didn't bring up the pets as there were no changes. I've also changed the Total Profits label because Taeko now has more than one farm now. I know it's been a long time since I updated, but I've been working on this in my downtime. As for what's next, Taeko works on his business and such. New allies, new ventures, same Taeko.)
