"What was that about? How did a knife cause an explosion? Why does everyone have a paper cut?!" Nami panicked. None of them knew. The explosions did nothing. There was only smoke, and a note. A note that read: 'Sorry.' Nobody there understood what just happened. Except two. Robin could tell that something was up. Sanji saw the mortifying image upon her canvas. A bright scarlet danced around her cheeks like a dress in the wind. They knew that she knew who they were. But why? Is it because of Luffy, Zoro, maybe even Sanji? Only she knew, and that wouldn't change for a while.
Two months after leaving Wano and the event, the Strawhats found something out. She was a woman worth 940,000,000 Berries! 'But why?' Robin pondered, which led to her researching everything ahe could, to no avail. All she could find was that she had fought Blackbeard and Kaido, but failed in an unusual way. She "started to mimic her opponent's moves, but it wasn't as strong as theirs," Robin stated to the crew. Pain struck threw Luffy's heart like an arrow, as months prior, he had faced the same loss, albeit, a different method. Also according to Robin, she fought Kaido around 20 years ago, at 10. The reasons as to why she fought Blackbeard are unknown.
Meanwhile, in the Republic of Vetova, a place of woe and sorrow, was Kami. Kami looked different to how she looked on the ship. Instead of that deep scarlet red colour, she wore a blindingly white toga, with that same fabric hanging off of her shoulder, which appeared to be the same dress. Usualy, the toga is worn long, but this one is cut off at the stomach, with white shorts to cover up in it's place, alongside sandals of pure silver. Her face, except her eyes and nose, were covered up with her hair and a headscarf of red and black. She still wore that signature pair of black and red gloves, which compliment her headscarf nicely. As she walked to the city of Amor, the red upon her toga didn't stand out, but her white did. After every step she took, someone gave her a glare, almost as if a warning that she wasn't welcome. Without her knowing, the Strawhats arrived! The smiling Sunny was docked not too far from the Collosus of Naivalf, which was strikingly similar to the Corrida Coloseum in Dressrosa. Instead of exciting atmosphere surrounding Corrida, Naivalf's atmoshpere felt like death itself was here. Unless you knew the truth of Naivalf, you couldn't tell, because of the bright, flashy colours that attracted young kids to the event. Sensing that someone was watching her, she picked up her pace towards the Collosus.
Luffy saw the Collosus infront of them. The rest of the crew looked at eachover with a knowing look. 'Might as well watch Lucy,' they all thought. Those who weren't at Dressrosa were informed of the Coloseum event. How 'Lucy' wooed the crowd with his strength. Would that happen again? As they all made their way to the Coloseum, they already saw Luffy signing up. His eager smile lit up the public signing area.
"Lucy! What a nice name! Come on through! Are those your friends, who'l cheer you on?" the woman asked, signaling to the rest of his crew. Luffy nodded, and walked through. Suddenly, the woman gave a signal for the cerew to follow her to a VIP area of the seats. The view of the arena was beautiful, where it was high up enough so you could see the fights, but far enough away so you couldn't be injured yourself. The arena wasn't falt, but it was deep. There was a small stairwell from the entrance doors, which led to the city-esque statues with fake houses, fake skyscrapers and fake offices. It was terrifying, but beautiful.
Meanwhile, in the changing rooms: "Are you sure you don't need any armor? A strong, burly dude will beat you easily!" asked the competitors of Group 3. She nodded at the question, with a slight smirk. It's true she wasn't strong, but she knew that she had an ace up her gloves. She didn't care about what people said to her, but for the first time, to people's horror, she wasn't wear any socks. In it's place, on her right foot, was a blazingly bright red paw. She smirked when she saw their faces.
"GROUP 2'S WINNER: LUCY!!! GROUP 3, PLEASE BE READY IN 5 MINITUES. THANK YOU." The speaker said. It was time for Kami to show her true colours.
