Chapter Fifty-Six

Breaking in

Back in the abandoned School gym in Chicago, Jake coughed as he held his wound as Boss Kodama walked over with the small katana smirking at him as the gangsters and mutated ninja surrounded Devina.

Jake looked up and tried to move, but the wound was too painful.

Devina still in her beast form fought against the gangsters and ninjas and looked over to Jake as she saw him get shot.

"Jake!" she screamed "No!"

She roared and used her wings to push the gangsters back then race over to Jake yet as she did, Hanako stepped before her and produced a tiny blade.

Devina didn't have a chance to react as she saw it and Hanako then stabbed it into her chest!

Devina screamed and took a step back as she felt the blade enter her flesh.

It felt like a red-hot knife being driven into her and she staggered and fell forward grasping her wound yet as she touched the blade it stung her hands.

Hanako smirked as she watched, and a couple of mutated ninjas jumped on the Vampiress and held her down tightly.

"Silver!" she said "Rather nasty sensation hmm? Vampire?" she kicked Devina in the side making her roll onto her back and the ninja continued to hold her down.

Devina blinked as she stared at Hanako.

"How?" she asked in a pained voice.

Hanako chuckled.

"Didn't take a genius bitch!" she said, "I remember previous battles, and my master does know about you and your association with the Dragon and his friends!"

She stepped towards Devina and grabbed the tiny blade and twisted it making Devina grunt in pain.

"Now…I know you and the boy over there have secrets! And we're going to make you both squeal!"

Devina hissed in pain, and she looked at the flesh that started to change, almost like embers from a fire as her flesh was turning dead from undead, she knew that sooner or later it would kill her if Hanako used the blade again on her.

She looked around anxiously wondering if any of the mini spybots had picked up what was happening and that the Knights and Tyroth would come to her and Jake's aid.

Meanwhile Boss Kodama walked over and knelt by Jake's side, his Yakuza Assassins walking over with swords which they withdrew from their sheaths and pointed them at the young man who held his gunshot wound.

"So, you and that creature." Kodama snarled "Are here to learn our secrets? To bring us down from the inside?"

He lowered his blade to Jake's face and pointed it above his forehead.

"You killed a feared gang leader in New York? You have been part of these plots to stop crime in Chicago? Getting under my skin!"

Jake winced as he felt the blade at his point between his eyebrows and he began to sweat in fear.

"Now I have you where I want you!" Kodama growled "Tell me where the others are?"

Jake was terrified but he glared at Kodama and bared his teeth.

"Fuck you!" he spat.

He then screamed as he felt a blade go through his arm and he looked over to see one of Kodama's assassins had stabbed him through the upper arm with his katana sword.

"Jake!" Devina cried in worry, yet it was strained due to the silver blade in her chest weakening her.

All the while Hanako smirked and chuckled then turned to the Vampiress who was getting weaker and unable to fight against her captors.

She looked at her wound where she could see the silver was affecting her and soon it would reach her heart then it would finish her.

She didn't know if Hanako would remove the blade if she was intending to torture her, if she did, she could try and fight then grab Jake and flee.

Just then, there was a crash of glass, and everyone turned to look and see Amber the Marine Iguana, Jack the Wolf, Sephie the Gecko, Sharky the Shark, Kate the Viper, Percy the Grasshopper, Sarah the Cheetah and Heather the Dragonfly arrive all brandishing their weapons.

"Knights! Attack!" Jake howled and they rushed into battle!

Kodama and Hanako jumped up in both shock and alarm.

"Get them!" Hanako shouted directing her Ninja and Kodama did the same with his Yakuza assassins.

Kamaru and Valentina did the same with their gangsters and the Knights found themselves facing a wave of fighters.

"Fight and show no mercy!" Jack roared "We need to save Devina and Jake!"

The Knights nodded and got into action.

Heather flew above the crowds and flew towards Devina brandishing her Kata blades.

Hanako ducked as she flew over and brandished her blades.

"So, you freaks live here in Chicago?" she asked "Won't Arashi and Dr Arden love to hear this!"

Heather felt her heart sink as she heard that, but she pushed it aside to try and get to Devina and she landed before Hanako and held up her blades.

"Get away from Devina you bitch!" she spat.

Hanako meanwhile spun her blades and licked her lips.

"Come and get her, you buzzing vermin!"

Meanwhile Amber fought through many gangsters to get to Jake, her heart pounded hard in her chest as she did so.

"Hang in there Jake!" she thought as sweat poured down her forehead "Please! Please hang in there! I'm coming!"

She slashed at several who got close to her, but Sephie managed to shoot some back with her arrows whilst Sarah darted around with her speed knocking some down as well as striking with her tonfas.

She soon made it to Jake who was still surrounded by the Yakuza and Boss Kodama.

"Get away from him!" she commanded holding up her butterfly swords.

Boss Komada chuckled.

"You giving orders here Lizard girl?" he asked mockingly.

Amber glared.

"Let him go! Or it'll be worse for you!" she threatened.

Boss Kodama glared and placed his blade at Jake's throat.

"Try anything, and I'll slit your boyfriend's throat!" he threatened.

Amber's eyes widened and she froze on the spot looking at Jake then at the Yakuza assassins that stood before her.

As the other Knights fought the gangsters, ninja and assassins, Sephie also joined in the battle to assist, and she joined in to help Heather fight Hanako.

She drew her dragon daggers and went for Hanako but the Japanese woman blocked her moves, as she did that she kicked Heather backwards and struck Sephie in the face with her free hand.

"Ha!" she cried triumphantly then looked at Sephie who shook off stars.

"Ah yes!" she said, "I remember you from our last battle when you fired an arrow at my Lord and Master!"

She kicked Sephie in the side making her gag.

"Looking at you." She said "You remind me of that turtles' lizard whore! And her disgusting spawn of a daughter!"

Sephie turned to Hanako snarling as she saw red, but Hanako kicked her in the chin making her roll back over.

"Sephie!"

Kate who was striking many gangsters with her whip saw Sephie go down and after kicking a gangster down, she ran to assist yet found herself get blocked by some mutated Ninja.

"Oh fuck!" she cursed yet she bared her own fangs.

"I got venom too!" she snarled "Back off!"

She punched one down and kicked another back yet as she struck at another he dodged then opened his mouth and exposed his fangs and Kate didn't have a second to react before he clamped his teeth on her arm and bit her hard!

Kate screamed in pain and fell on her knees as she felt the sharp teeth on her arm and how he pumped his venom into her, just like she had done the same to Izo Ren those years back when she saved Michelangelo's life.

"Kate!"

Percy hopped over kicking the mutated ninja off her and knelt to her side.

"Katie?" he cried concerned as he took her arm and saw the bite mark then saw Kate looking delirious from the venom.

"Hey vermin!" she slurred "I fucking hate you!"

Percy winced then looked up at the others.

"Guys!" he shouted "Kate's hurt! We gotta get outta here!"

Jack and Sharky who had been fighting together back-to-back looked over and saw Kate injured.

"Kate no!" Sharky roared.

"Shit!" Jack growled then looked up as he heard a roar above his head.

At the same time, everyone else in the room heard it and they soon saw the roof explode and Tyroth appeared!

As that happened the gangsters, Ninja and Yakuza assassins jumped back in fear.

Hanako glared and turned to Boss Kodama, Kamaru and Valentina.

"Retreat!" she shouted.

Boss Kodama glared but he backed away from Jake, along with his Yakuza Assassins and Kamaru and Valentina did the same.

"That Fucking Dragon!" Kamaru snarled.

As Tyroth landed in the middle of the room he roared and breathed fire as he brandished his claws and tail, and upon seeing him, all the gangsters knew they didn't stand a chance against him and they backed away, and the Ninja and Yakuza assassins did the same.

Boss Kodama glared and he stood next to Hanako.

"I recognise that Dragon!" he spat "I've seen him before!"

"So have I!" Hanako agreed "But we do not have a chance against him! We must flee when we have a chance!"

Boss Kodama looked at Tyroth as he roared and snarled as well as slashed the air at anyone who came near him.

"Very well my dear, we shall leave now!"

He took Hanako's hand, and they fled from the gym area along with the other remaining ninja and gangsters.

Kamaru and Valentina, as much as they were shocked and terrified of Tyroth they too knew they had no chance and they fled.

"You fuckers will pay!" Kamaru shouted shaking his fist as he fled with his lover and Hanako and Kodama.

Tyroth roared at them then looked at those injured, and he instantly ran to Sephie who was staggering as she stood up after being kicked down by Hanako.

"Sephie? Hun" he asked in concern.

"I'm fine!" Sephie said "Thanks for dropping in!" she smiled softly to which Tyroth smiled back.

Amber meanwhile held Jake's head in her lap and stroked his cheek.

"Jake?" she asked fearfully.

"Hey Amber…" Jake smiled lovingly though his pain "How you doing?"

"Okay," Amber smiled yet forcefully "Hang in there, we're getting you home!"

Amber meanwhile knelt by Devina and pulled out the silver blade and Devina gasped as she felt it get pulled out.

"Uggggh, thanks Fairy girl!" she breathed.

Jack ran over with Sharky and Sarah.

"Is she okay?" Jack asked anxiously.

"I don't know!" Heather said as tears flowed from her eyes.

Devina coughed and spluttered as she started to revert to her human form,

"I can't heal in beast form." She said as she tried to stand.

"Hold on!" Jack said as he and Sharky took her arms, "We got you!"

"Kate!"

Everyone looked over as they saw Percy holding Kate in his arms bridal style and she was fitting and choking from the venomous bite on her arm.

"Three injured!" Sarah yelled "We have to get back to Mutopia!"

"And we shall!" Tyroth roared "Come on!"

As the Knights gathered their injured, Tyroth looked towards where the 95th Gangsters, Boss Kodama's Yakuza and Hanako and the Foot fled the gym and he glared.

"You bastards made a fucking big mistake!" he thought "I'll make you pay for trespassing on my home turf as well as hurt my friends!"

He roared and blew a jet of flames at the last remaining gangsters who fled, then followed the knights as they fled the abandoned school back to Mutopia, his thoughts of hoping to save his friends and comrades.

So the Knights and Tyroth managed to drop in and save their friends, yet three are injured badly!
