Chapter Fifty-Seven
Confessions
Back in Mutopia, in one of the bedrooms in the residential area, Dahlia was laying on top of Jun kissing him passionately.
The Tiger stroked her hair and ears as he kissed her back and nuzzled her as they broke the kiss.
"Mmm, I do enjoy our time together hun." He purred.
"Me too." Dahlia whispered and Jun chuckled and rolled her over on the bed and nuzzled her more, his whiskers tickling her cheek as he moved down to her neck.
Dahlia closed her eyes and held Jun's head as he kissed and nuzzled her.
She could feel herself wanting him and she opened her legs as well as lowered her hand to his crotch.
Yet before she could get any closer, she heard a buzzing noise on the bedside table which made both her and Jun look up.
Jun sighed as he heard that, as it was her pager.
Dahlia too sighed as she knew what it meant, and she picked it up and saw the words 'Emergency! Medical Assistance!'
"Shit!" she cursed as Jun quickly off of her and Dahlia jumped up and straightened her clothes and hair before grabbing the pager.
"Rain Check?" she asked to which Jun nodded "rain check!" she replied, and they both ran out of the bedroom and towards James's Medical room almost knocking over Nick the Frog and Rose the Lynx on the way as they were engaged in conversation near the entrance to the main village.
"Hey watch it!" Nick cried.
"Mind out!" Rose followed up.
"Sorry guys!" Jun called over his shoulder "Nurse on duty!"
It was then the two Mutopians realised, and they looked at each other with worry before walking after them, wondering who was hurt.
Before long, the Wolf and Tiger arrived at James's medical room where they saw the Chimpanzee in Surgical scrubs and Donatello was there too also in similar wear.
"Ah Dahlia!" James cried in relief "There you are!"
"What's going on?" Dahlia asked concerned.
"I just got a message from Sephie!" James reported "Three of the Knights are seriously hurt!"
"Oh shit!" Dahlia cried.
"Oh no!" Jun cried in worry "Whose hurt?"
Donatello nodded and put a cap on his head.
"They didn't say!" he replied, "But we need to work quickly as soon as they arrive!"
"Don't need to tell me twice!" Dahlia said and quickly ran into a side room to change and after a couple of minutes she was out in her blue scrubs and tying her long black hair into a bun.
"Damn!" James muttered "I wish April was with us."
"Likewise!" Dahlia said as she went to the sink to wash her hands "But you know she and Casey had to return to New York."
Donatello nodded in agreement then looked at Jun.
"Can you help move some beds and find the equipment we need?" he asked.
"Sure thing Donnie!" Jun said, "Just tell me what you need!"
Before long, Tyroth and the Knights arrived just as Jun had helped Donatello move some beds.
"James?" the Dragon barked as he entered.
The Chimpanzee ran over.
"Who have we got?" he demanded and Tyroth looked behind him and gestured with his head to see Jack run in with Jake in his arms, Percy with Kate and Sephie and Amber with Devina.
"Three down!" Tyroth reported "Jake's been shot! Kate got bitten and Devina was stabbed with silver blade!"
"Oh my God!" Dahlia cried as she saw their conditions, especially Jake and Kate "Over there!" she shouted pointing to a bed and Jack lay Jake down on it.
"Hang in there man!" Jack said, "Don't give up!"
Jake didn't reply yet he gasped in pain over his wound.
Devina coughed as she was led to a bed.
"I'll be alright, I just…I just need to heal."
"You sure Dev?" Sephie asked.
"Yes, I'll be fine!" Devina insisted "Help them!" she gestured to Kate and Jake.
Donatello looked over as he saw Kate get put on the second bed.
"Stay with us Whipper Viper!" Percy begged as he placed Kate on it "Think of Mikey! It'll break him!"
"Mikey…" Kate slurred "Tell him I love him…I love my silly boy."
"I'll tell him!" Percy said with tears in his eyes as he looked at her bitten infected hand "But you're staying put! You hear me!"
Donatello rushed over as he saw her condition, then he saw the bite on her hand.
No sooner did he see it than he recognised it, and he shook his head.
"No…. No…." he murmured, and he took a step back almost stumbling.
Percy saw his reaction and his stomach plummeted in fear as he realised that the turtle now knew the truth.
"Aww crap." He thought.
"Donnie?" James shouted as he saw the turtle and how he was looking faint and shocked seeing Kate's wound.
"Donatello!" James shouted but the turtle didn't hear him.
James glared and strode over before grabbing him by the collar of his scrubs.
"Wake up boy!" he shouted shaking the turtle "We got lives to save here!"
Donatello blinked as he was brought back to reality, and he quickly got to work.
"Right! I need Anti-venom and disinfectant!"
"Doctor!" Dahlia shouted as she analysed Jake's wound "The bullet shot him straight through the stomach and went out the back, it's ripped through his stomach!"
"Fuck!" James cursed and instantly went to look, all the while Jake groaned and gasped in pain.
"I need some anaesthetic and an oxygen tube stat!" he barked.
"Right away!" Dahlia yelled as she started to busy herself into getting things together to save the lives in front of them.
Outside the medical room Tyroth bit his lip then looked at the others.
Amber was sobbing as Sephie was hugging her and Sarah was stroking the iguana's shoulders in an act to help comfort her.
He looked back at the medical room to see Jack, Percy and leaving the room along with Jun.
Percy was looking rather awkward as he arrived.
"Boss." He said, "Donatello saw Kate's wound, he recognised it!"
Tyroth's eyes widened, and he went pale then he put his head in his large, clawed hands.
"Oh damn me to Niflhiem!" he muttered "Odin forgive me!"
He looked up and turned to the others who looked worried then he narrowed his eyes as a thought came to his head.
"Boss?" Everyone asked in unison.
Tyroth sighed then looked at Jun and Sharky as well as Sarah.
"Go and get the Hamato Clan."
"What about Pandora?" Jun asked.
Tyroth shook his head.
"No," he said, "I'll speak to the adults first then I'll speak to Pandora quietly about it given her feelings since we brought them here."
"Okay," Jun said then turned to the wolf, Cheetah, and Shark "Come on guys."
He gestured with his head, and they left the area.
Sephie meanwhile looked at Amber who was still crying then looked at Tyroth.
"I've got to tell him." He said "It's either that or Donatello tells them, Oh man! How could I let this happen?"
"It wasn't your fault!" Percy said, "Those experiments of Dr Arden sniffed them out, they didn't do anything out of the ordinary to get caught! They've been our moles before, and nothing ever happened!"
"That's true!" Heather agreed.
"Yeah!" Sephie chimed in.
Tyroth sighed then looked at Percy.
"Have you got the footage?" he asked to which the Grasshopper nodded and held up the Ipads.
"We were also able to recall all the Spy-Bots." Heather reported.
"Great job." Tyroth praised then he heard footsteps, and his heart sank.
"May the Gods help me…" he muttered.
Jun, Sharky, Jack and Sarah rounded the corner and Monalisa, Raphael, Michelangelo and Splinter appeared.
"What's going on?" Monalisa asked "What's happened?"
She then looked at the Knights and noticed the absences of three members as well as Amber sobbing against Sephie.
"Jake?" she asked in fear as her eyes went wide.
"Kate?"
Michelangelo went pale as he couldn't see his Viper girlfriend and Raphael looked at Tyroth and signed to him where Kate, Jake and Devina were with a confused look on his face.
Tyroth sighed as he looked at the Lizard Lady.
"Monalisa." He said "I'm really sorry, but…we…we ran into some trouble and….and…" he forced the words out.
"Jake's been shot!"
Monalisa took a step back in shock like she had been slapped.
"No! Oh God no! Jake!" she cried, and Raphael instantly stepped towards her and wrapped his arms around his mate as Monalisa started to sob in fear.
"No! No, no, no!"
"What about Kate?" Michelangelo demanded as he stepped towards the door of the medical room to check in on his partner, but Sharky and Jun stopped him.
Tyroth looked worried as he wasn't sure how to explain what had happened and he looked towards the medical room where he heard Donatello, Dahlia and James working on trying to save Kate and Jake and Devina who was laying on a nearby bed using her healing magic to heal herself from the silver knife attack.
"What's happened to Kate!?" Michelangelo demanded "Is she going to be okay?"
Percy bit his lip worried.
Tyroth frowned and turned back to the Hamato Clan seeing their stricken looks and he looked to Splinter who looked serious, yet he nodded at the Dragon.
"Guys." The dragon sighed as he clenched his fists "There's something we need to tell you?"
"What?" Michelangelo and Monalisa asked together, and Raphael just cocked his head in confusion.
Splinter meanwhile looked worried as he wondered how his children were going to take the news.
Tyroth opened his mouth to speak but before he could say anything the door opened, and James appeared.
"James!" everyone cried at the same time and Monalisa stepped forward almost dragging Raphael with her as her mate still had his arms around her.
James looked at the Hamato clan and he sighed and shook his head looking rather gruff but relieved.
"Jake's going to be okay." He said, "As will Kate!"
"Oh thank heavens!" Monalisa cried, tears streaming from her eyes.
Amber also smiled.
"Oh Jake…" she wept "Oh thank you Odin!"
'Katie!" Michelangelo cried "Please may I see her?"
James looked at Michelangelo.
"Not right now." He said, "She needs to rest, as does Jake, Donatello and Dahlia are making sure they're comfortable."
"What about Devina?" Tyroth asked.
"She's alright, she needs to rest and heal herself, silver is very damaging to her, but she too will be alright."
"Thank the Gods!" Tyroth sighed.
James sighed.
"Kate's lucky she only got bitten on the hand, if the venom had been close to her heart or brain, it would have been worse, but we gave her an anti-venom and she's had a drink of the Well's water."
"Venom!?"
Monalisa and Michelangelo's shocked voices were heard in unison.
"How can Kate have been bitten by…" Michelangelo started but then the realisation dawned on him, and he looked at Monalisa who shared his look of horror.
"No!" they cried in unison "The Foot are in Chicago!?"
Raphael meanwhile stared at Tyroth; his mouth open in shock.
Splinter sighed and looked down shaking his head.
The Knights meanwhile looked awkward, and Jun looked at his feet and twisted his fingers behind his back.
Sephie looked at Monalisa who narrowed her eyes.
"Is there something you're hiding from us?" she demanded.
"Mona…" Sephie said.
"Tell us!" Monalisa barked "You're not telling us the whole truth!"
"Monalisa." Tyroth tried to cut in, but Monalisa went on and she took a couple of steps forward making them tense up a little seeing how angry she looked.
"Have you been keeping secrets?" Monalisa shrieked making everyone jump slightly.
Raphael glowered and he signed the same.
Michelangelo also looked angered as he looked at the other Knights.
"Were you all in on the secret?" he asked.
"Guys please!" Tyroth said holding up his paws "We didn't want to tell you this because we were scared of the stress it would put on you!"
"Yeah!" Sephie agreed "After what you guys went through with the Foot! We were worried how you would take it!"
"They speak the truth my children." Splinter said tapping his cane on the ground and Monalisa, Michelangelo and Raphael turned to him.
"You knew!?" Monalisa demanded.
"Yes, my daughter." Splinter nodded "I did, Tyroth came to me to inform me of what was happening topside, and that the Foot are in the city."
Tyroth nodded.
"We've only been observing for now, to find out why they're here," He said, "But I came to Splinter first to inform him, and he agreed to keep it quiet until we were able to tell you, especially with Leonardo and Kemeko being in Japan."
Monalisa, Raphael and Michelangelo were silent for a while, and they looked at each other talking in what Tyroth had said and at their sensei.
Raphael still looked angry, and Michelangelo looked sad, Monalisa meanwhile took a few deep breaths as she tried to calm down.
Meanwhile the Knights, Jun, James and Tyroth watched them wondering what they were going to say next.
Sephie looked at Tyroth and placed her hand on his in support.
Monalisa looked at her mate and younger adopted brother then turned to Tyroth.
"You're our friend Tyroth." She said in a calm voice "And I am sure you have reasons for what you have done, as did the rest of you, after you saved us from the Foot, you really looked after us, and I trust what you did was in our best interests."
Raphael nodded in agreement and signed to the Knights.
"Monalisa is right, you are our loyal friends and allies, and you have never given us reason to doubt you."
Michelangelo also chimed in.
"Yeah! You guys always have our shells, and tails!" he added looking at Monalisa.
Monalisa agreed.
"Yes, it is true, but I wish to speak to you both." She said looking at Tyroth and Sephie "I, or rather we wish to know more of why the Foot are in Chicago, as leader in Leonardo's absence, I wish to be in the know."
Tyroth sighed and bowed his head to Monalisa.
"And we shall." He said "I give you my word, on my honour."
Uh oh! The Hamato Clan are now aware of the Foot being in Chicago! Needless to say, they are shocked and furious, but Monalisa, being leader in Leonardo's absence is ready to listen and learn.
