Hello readers, sorry for not uploading a chapter for a while. I was almost burned out by writing multiple fanfictions at one time. Also, I will slow down my posting so I can increase the quality of my fanfictions. Besides that I took a break from writing them and was busy with creating other stories and Sonic AU characters on my amino account to get me back to writing fanfictions again. My pen name is Volkossah The Weredragon, which is on Sonic The Hedgehog Amino. So check it out, if you want to. Furthermore I will be writing one fanfiction at a time along with one short story.
Chapter 10
Thunderstorm And
Parasitic Effects
The next morning, well late morning I woke up to see the campfire burning dim. Sxydrav and Saphira were sleeping quietly beside me while Brom and Eragon as Jysitiss was nowhere to be seen while I yawned quietly.
"Good morning Saphira, ready to go hunting?" I growl softly whisper as I nudge Saphira gently on her right shoulder, not trying to wake up my allies. The sapphire dragoness woke up as I saw her yawning, causing Eragon to stirred awake. Brom woke up due to my growl and the wind blowing hard.
"Good morning Volkossah and yes I'm ready to hunt." Saphira growled in happiness as Brom cut into our conversation.
"I see that you two are going hunting, go ahead I will tell Eragon and Sxydrav to get ready." Brom replies as he proceeds to walk over the Eragon. I nodded as I and Saphira stood up, I was still pissed at the cyborg dragon but where did he go? I had no idea, while Saphira proceeded to scratch out her limbs.
"Ungrateful prick, he fucking sneak off." I roared out in fury as my parasitic darkness activated. My roar caused Eragon and Sxydrav to bolt up in fright as they looked around for threats only to see me pissed off for some reason.
"Wait, what! Uh… where is Jysitss?" Eragon asked as Brom processed to make him and Eragon some breakfast. While me and Saphira refreshen ourselves with water, we both know that without water we can die from dehydration. After drinking some water, I asked Eragon's question.
"Gone and good fucking riddens too, that bastard is a servent of the mad king. Come on Saphira lets go hunting." I snarled in anger as myself and Saphira took flight after drinking our full. My words caused Brom and Eragon to be stunned as Svydrav seemed rather calm. Saphira was not surprised by this development as she didn't trust him at all.
As me and Saphira flew south to scout ahead and spend the day by ourselves. Unknown to me, Sxydrav had a unique ability to transform into a smaller version of herself. I was snapped out of my thoughts by the sapphire dragon.
"Volkossah, why is Sxydrav staying behind with Eragon and Brom? She can't possibly fit through the trees or travel with them." Saphira asked growling in confusion as she knew that there was no way a full grown dragon could travel with humans.
"I don't know Saphira anything is possible at the moment, who knows why Sxydrav is staying with your rider and the old one." I purred with happiness as we were looking for food to eat.
After a few more minutes of search, all we saw were rabbits and birds. No deer or elk in this part of the forest so we abandoned our search for food, as the wind blew harder than normal in the early afternoon sky. After breakfast Brom and Eragon packed up camp as they refilled their waterskins, then started to ride their mounts through the harsh winds. Clouds were gathering around us as a light sprinkle of rain started to fall down on us. Saphira growled in displeasure as I did not mind it.
That was until it started to increase tenfold as the rain began to pour down on us. The wind picked up big time as it became a gust of constant wind, I saw lightning strikes ahead of us and around us. Brom and Eragon with Sxydrav was not faring any better as Sxydrav was on Brom's shoulder, held tight like a werecat. They were constantly being bitter against the massive gust of wind. Me and Saphira began to struggle to fly ahead due to the wind pushing against our wings that was until Eragon yelled out to us.
"Saphira, Volkossah land now!"Eragon yelled to us in fright as Saphira dived down to the ground, but not so much for me as I tried to follow Saphira. But it ended in a disaster for myself as I managed to land roughly, Saphira landed on her claws and myself well… not so much. I was being pushed until I started rolling backwards multiple times away from Saphira as I saw the sapphire dragon struggling to close her wings. I clawed the soil as my wings were fully open while I was struggling to close them.
Eragon stumbled out of his horse as he rushed to Saphira, while Brom held the horses steady as I somehow managed to stab three of my four wing tumbles and my five whip-like tails into the ground to stabilize myself.
"Shit, Eragon, don't worry about me but for Saphira. I'm stable enough to not be blown away by the hurricane." I roared out as trees and bushes were breaking off from their own roots, near missing my head as it flew over me. I sent a telepathy message to Eragan since the rider couldn't hear me as the wind was blowing hard. I growl in annoyance as I stand up against the wind as it is trying to push me down.
"Fuck it. You're not helping." I roared out as I watched Eragon struggle with Saphira's partly open wing, while Brom watched me from a distance, while I was walking toward Saphira. A tree breach slash my right foreleg above the horns causing me to hiss in pain as I slapped on the wet grass. My wing tumbles and my tails rip out of the soggy grass as wind gusts began to push me as I started to tumble toward Saphira. Causing me to roll over across the slapply grass, before I could gain grip on the slapply grass.
I slammed against Saphira as another gust of wind nearly knocked us off balance, unfortunately my right leg horns cut Saphira's left foreleg. Causing mine and Saphira's blood to mix unknown to us, this will permanently transform Saphira into a parasitic dragon. As this was happening Eragon slapped on the grass as I heard lightning strikes, the trees tore from their roots, Eragon got back up from the grass. Eragon along with Saphira somehow managed to hold Saphira's right wings close enough so that she didn't blow away. My right wings was pressed against the sapphire dragon, I somehow managed to stab my left wings tumbles and my tails into the ground but this time much deeper. I felt Saphira press her head against my chest, waiting for the harsh storm to pass. After a few hours the storm had passed as I felt Saphira's parasitic darkness increased so much that I knew Saphira would feel the effects of my parasitic energy coursing through her veins shortly.
"Are you two alright?" Eragon asked us while still holding Saphira's right wing as he was worried for the two of us, Brom was busy waiting for Eragon with the horses. I was shaken but not too much.
"I think so… nothing broken, but I think that I got cut accidentally by Volkossah's left foreleg horns other than that we are just shaken up. Myself and Volkossah felt so helpless, the wind wouldn't let us go." Saphira was clearly shaken as her body was trembling with a slight fear. Eragon felt sorry for the both of us, the young rider was about to say something but I cut into the conversation.
"It's alright Saphira, you're safe with me." I growl in symphony as I rub my head with Saphira's, causing her to pur with affliction.
"Volkossah is right, you're safe and lucky you both don't injure yourselves." Eragon cut in as he started to rub her neck reassuringly that nothing will happen to her. Saphira sent a wave of gratitude and love over their connection to Eragon and myself.
"Thank you both, without you or Volkossah. I would be seriously injured from the thunderstorm, Are… damn that hurts." Saphira hissed in pain as Eragon looked up at Saphira. I felt parasitic darkness within Saphira react volitionally as purple and red parasitic darkness surge throughout her sapphire body.
"Saphira what's worry?" Eragon asked as he saw blood trick down from Saphira's left foreleg. I thought about the sympathies of being infected with parasitic darkness.
The permanent transformation of a parasitic dragon can begin when dragon blood is mixed together. Shortly after the blood is mixed, usually the sympathies start with minor headaches if a dragon absorbs a small amount of parasitic darkness. But the larger the quality of parasitic darkness absorbed, the more agony the dragon will feel. In Saphira's case she alright has parasitic darkness that has increased multiple times, so in theory that I have. This will lock Saphira out of her Alagaesia dragon form for a while, but Saphira will revert in each of her Alageasia and parasitic form every few days. I snapped out of my thoughts as I answered Eragon's question.
"It's Saphira's parasitic darkness Eragon, I know that you're worried about Saphira but this is a dragon affair that's none of your concern. You should be focused on training with Brom, let me worry about Saphira's parasitic darkness and her health. Don't worry about us Eragon, just do your part and we will do ours." I growled as it seemed like I'm pushing Eragon away, but in truth I'm not. I just want Eragon to focus on his training to defeat the mad king with no distractions. Brom was waiting impatiently for Eragon with Cadoc and Snowfire, who was worried for us.
"Okay I will Volkossah, just promise that you will keep Saphira safe." Eragon pleaded for me as I nodded my head in acknowledgment. The thunderstorm had long passed by as the sun peaked out of the clouds, myself and Saphira watched Eragon walk back to Brom. While myself and Saphira get ready to fly for the next leg of the journey. Shyiexkos was closing in on me and she was really pissed at her humiliation by my claws.
