Happy New Year's Eve (or depending on your timezone in the world when this chapter is published, Happy New Year)!

Chapter 5

After a few minutes of driving them through Manhattan in the FEAST moving truck, Peter and Aunt May bring five of the six of the people from other Earths to the apartment of Happy Hogan. Otto, still uncooperative, has one of his tentacles wrapped around him to restrain him. Aside from the others from other universes, Caitlin was glad to see that May Parker not only looked like the version from her universe, but seemed to have a similar personality.

"Where's Connors?" Peter asked May.

"He says he wants to stay in the truck," May replies.

"Okay"

"Alarm system deactivated," said the voice of the alarm system as Peter closes the door,

"Hey, May," Peter whispers to May. "I feel kind of bad using Happy's place like this."

"No, no, no, he'll get over it." She replies back.

Flint and Max make themselves at home, with Max using his powers to turn on the TV which has the news talking about renovations for the Statue of Liberty. Flint sits down on the couch, only to realize a lot of his sand has dirtied up the other seat of the couch.

"Oh, sorry," Flint apologizes as he brushes the sand on the other seat away with his hand.

"Um, May?" Caitlin asks, as May turns to the young woman. "I know you're not my May Parker, but you look like her and well…" She then goes to hug May, who while surprised, accepts and hugs her back. "Sorry, it's just…my mom was always cold and ignored me. My May was like a mother to me."

"It's perfectly alright, dear." May responded, patting her on the back before breaking the hug. After Peter told her that Caitlin was dating his doppelgänger, it didn't shock her that she'd be close with a version of her nephew's girlfriend. She knew MJ didn't have a great relationship with her parents and figured she'd have hugs like this with her.

"So, why don't you tell me about yourself and your Peter?" May asked her.

"Well, we're both scientists. In fact, the head of the Lab he worked for retired and left the lab to him. It's now called P.A.R.K.E.R. Industries."

"Good for him, hopefully he won't do something stupid like leave a teenager access to robot drones that can kill millions!"

"May!" Peter groaned.

"I'm sorry, but the only reason we're all in this situation from the start is because Stark gave you an A.I. for those drones instead of someone more responsible like Colonel Rhodes."

"Seriously? Guy sounds like an Idiot." said Max.

"Even I wouldn't do that to my Peter." said Norman, while playing with a robot arm in a corner of the apartment. "Well, "Me-me," not "Goblin-me.""

"My former boss did something similar with my friend Barry. They both had the ability to move and run faster than humanly possible."

"Oh, so like Pietro Maximoff." Peter stated.

"Who?"

"He the brother of one of my teammates on the Avengers"

"Who are they?" Asked Flint.

"They're a team of Superheroes."

"There's more than just you?!" Said Norman, Otto, Flint, and Max exclaimed in unison.

"You mean your Peters are the only heroes in your universes? Wow, your universes must be exhausting for your Peters," Peter said. "Anyway, Pietro had superspeed, but that didn't help him survive this evil robot called Ultron. He was an Avenger for just one day, but he died saving one of the other Avengers."

"Well, Barry got his speed from the same place I got my powers, a particle accelerator created by my boss, who wanted Barry to help him travel through time back to the future." said Caitlin.

"Oh, the Avengers saved me and a lot of people in the universe thanks to time travel." Peter Exclaimed.

"Robots and time travel, this universe is so cool." Max muttered.

"Sounds like your boss was a bad dude," Peter said to Caitlin.

"Yeah, he was so evil he killed Barry mom when he was child, but it caused him to get stuck in our time, so he created the particle accelerator to make Barry fast again and help him travel through time." Caitlin replied.

"Fascinating," said Norman.

What no one realized at the time was that Caitlin's story seeped into Norman's subconscious, giving the Goblin an idea.

"Wait, how come we're not asking your team for help?" Caitlin asked.

"Well, about a year ago, three of the main heroes died. Our Headquarters were destroyed and the first headquarters were sold off. The team is pretty disorganized right now. I'm not sure who's in charge now. Maybe Sam Wilson, but I doubt he could help, I didn't give him the best first impression. I could ask Doctor Banner or get help from Wakanda, but they're hard to get a hold of right now." Peter replied.

"What's Wakanda?" Max asked.

"Something like an African tech utopia." Peter responded, which raised Max's eyebrow.

"As fascinating as this is," Said Otto with impatience. "How exactly do you plan to cure us from this condominium? No Lab, no facility, not even a superhero headquarters. Are you gonna cook up some cures and some frozen burritos from a microwave?

"I could go for a burrito," Norman replied.

"He's gonna kill us all!"

"Well let's hope not. You're up first, Doc." Peter said, patting Otto on the shoulder as he started to head towards another room.

"What? Hey I told you, I don't need fixing!" Otto says, then repeats sternly. "I don't need fixing! Especially by a teenager using scraps from a bachelor's junk drawer!"

"Nah, nah, nah, he's got something back there. I can feel it, that weird energy." Max tells him as he, Norman, May, and Cait follow Peter into the other room, who pulls a sheet off of what looks like a crate about half Peter's size. Caitlin notices a label on it that the crate says "Stark Cases."

"What the hell is that?" Norman asks.

"It's a fabricator," Peter tells them as he pushes a button which causes the fabricator to open up, revealing all sorts of science gadgets. "It can analyze, design, construct, basically anything."

""Anything?" Does this thing need elements or something replaced like ink cartridges for printers? Where do all the things to make other things come from?" Caitlin asks, baffled how such a device could exist in her lifetime. It did remind her of a replicator from the Star Trek shows she watched with Peter and/or Cisco.

"She has a point. The first law of thermodynamics is that you can't make something from nothing." Norman said in agreement.

"I don't know, sorry. But it will help us." Peter told them.

"I thought that was the tanning bed Happy broke." May responded.

As the fabricator continued to unfold, Caitlin noticed an arc reactor that powered it.

"Look at that," Max said, staring at the arc reactor.

The fabricator finished transforming, but doing so caused a part of the machine to protrude through the wall, and into the neighboring room, which was the kitchen.

What Cisco wouldn't give to have that machine, Caitlin thought.

Soon after, Peter, Caitlin, and Norman got to work on curing everyone, starting with Otto.

"So the chip in the back of Doctor Octavius' neck was designed to protect his brain from the AI system that's controlling these tentacles, but if you look here…" Caitlin states to Peter and Norman as she points to a hologram on the fabricator, showing Otto's tentacles. "...the chip is fried. So, rather than him being in control of the tentacles, the tentacles are in control of him."

"I guess that explains why he is so miserable all the time," Peter replied.

After a few hours of working on a device to connect to Norman's chip. Norman stared at the device in admiration.

"Remarkable," stated Norman. "The technology and you, Peter. When all this is over, if you need a job and you're willing to commute to another universe…"

Before Peter could answer, the Fabricator dings, he's finished the device.

Caitlin smirks. Of course it looks Spider-like. She thought, remembering the Spider-themed gadgets her Peter had, like Drone-y or the Spider tracers.

"It worked! That totally worked!" Peter exclaimed, before taking the device and the three head to the living room. "I got it! I did it! I did it!" He exclaims to May. "Uh, will you send him up?" He asks May before heading up stairs to the balcony on the second floor. May uses Peter's nano gauntlet to have Otto's arms raise him to the second floor with his back to Peter. The others look up in curiosity and awe. Caitlin internally prays it'll work. Hoping this is a good sign she can be cured, and could never again hurt her Peter or her friends.

"Sorry, hold on Doc," May says, apologetically.

"Oh, will these humiliations never cease!" Otto growled. Peter starts to put the device on Otto's chip. "You, keep your science fair project away from me!"

"It'll work, have faith," Norman assures him from the first floor.

"Says the reckless fool who turned himself into a monster!"

"Please stop moving your head," Peter asks, but Otto disobeys. "Hold still."

"Don't you dare! Ugh, I swear, when I get out of this, we're gonna rip you a new-"

But Otto doesn't finish his sentence as Peter finally places the device on Otto's damaged chip. He falls unconscious

"Doc?" Peter asks with concern. "Doc?" Now worried that he screwed up. "Doc? Doctor Octavi-"

Peter is interrupted as Otto comes to, with a big gasp.

"It's so quiet," Otto whispers. "Those voices…inside my head…" He lets out a sigh of joy. "I'd almost forgotten."

"Otto?" Norman asks in curiosity.

"Yes, Norman, it's me," He replies as the tentacles safely lower him back to the ground. Peter jumps down to join them.

"Would you look at that," Flint says, a bit astonished.

Peter then presses some things on the hologram projected on the nano gauntlet; which through the past 2 days, displayed a hologram of Otto's tentacles. One of the tentacles goes to Peter's chest, causing the red from the tentacles to leave and giving Peter some gold to his suit, including a big, gold Spider-Man insignia.

"I'm grateful, dear boy, truly," Otto says, thankfully and earnestly, before shaking his hand.

"Uh, yeah, you're welcome." Peter says, a little uncomfortable to receive such gratitude from the same man who tried to kill him yesterday and has been rather rude for the past few days.

"How can I help?" He asks, now wishing to help cure the other world hoppers.

It's going to work! After all these months, I'll finally be cured of Killer Frost! Peter, I'm coming home! Caitlin thought with joy.

This may be shorter than the others, but I felt that the scenes at Happy's apartment should be divided into two parts. And yes, I know Killer Frost and her powers come from her father experimenting on her as a kid. But season 3 Caitlin didn't discover that until season 5.

Anyone else think Stark's Fabricator is one of the most impossible things to be introduced in the MCU? The film gave us the one piece of tech that has failed to suspend my disbelief.

Also, as stated before, Tony Stark has screwed over Peter a lot and not just giving a teenager access to killer drones (which I could see Tony planning to use when he originally created the Ultron A.I.). He blackmailed Peter into fighting against team Cap and should have at least given Peter a heads up that he's having the F.B.I. investigate Toomes. There's even a few stories on the site about that.

What if Universe never actually says it, but it's implied that the May Parker in "Flash and Spider-Man is based somewhat on Marisa Tomei, especially since she's meant to be around the same age as Tom Cavanaugh.

Again, Happy New Year!
