Metaknight flew at the two. Kirby was able to dodge, but Little Mac was caught. Metaknight picked the boxer up in the air. He flew up 100ft up in the air and dropped him. "Little Mac!" Kirby screamed. She threw her arms out to catch him, but since her attention was on him, Metaknight swooped in and slashed her back with his sword. She caught herself from falling on the floor. Her back had a nasty slash full of her blood oozing out. She had the brightest idea of kissing her own cloak causing her to turn into Rouge Kirby! Her slashed cloak was healed. It also had pockets for her unlimited supply of rouge tools. Her outfit also changed to a steampunk one. A badass corset with jean shorts and thieves boots.

Kirby took out a knife. Metaknight swung his sword. She ducked and stabbed his left wing. He disappeared for a half second and gained distance from her. She took out more knives and threw them at him. He dodged swiftly and used his sword beam at her. She unfortunately was caught in it and felt thousands of needles stinging her entire body. She was on the floor. She managed to stand on her two legs again. Metaknight was running after her, but Little Mac crashed down right on top of him.

Kirby pulled Little Mac off of Metaknight. He hit the floor hard. Metaknight was struggling to get back up. She knew they couldn't win against him. He's too fast and even if with her rogue skills, she can't keep up. She needs to flee. She threw a smoke bomb on the floor. She swung Little Mac over her shoulder and ran into The Lost Woods.

Metaknight tried fanning away the smoke, but his left wing was injured. When the smoke faded the two were gone. He looked down on the floor and spotted a key. It's unfortunate that they escaped, but at least he won't come back to Mario empty handed.

Kirby ran as far away as she could. Eventually she found a large tree. She laid Little Mac against the tree. She sat next to him catching her breath. He wasn't knocked out, but he was injured badly. That drop was horrible. Luckily he fell on top of Metaknight so he didn't get the full impact on the rocky floor. She looked around her surroundings and noticed that this place is from The Legend of Zelda. The famous Lost Woods. Maybe she could find The Great Deku Tree. She could ask him for advice and rest there in the meantime. She waited a few hours to gain her strength back, then she picked Little Mac up again and began walking. She didn't know where she was going, but eventually she'll find the tree, right?

Hours passed and she wound up back to her original spot. This is ridiculous. It's so cold out too. She's walking in a circle now. At this point, she'll die from hypothermia. She needs to start tracking. She used her knives as a trail. Since she has an infinite amount, she could abuse this power. With lots of trial and error and avoiding the paths that she stuck knives on the ground, she eventually found a large tree with a face on it. This must be The Great Deku Tree. She finally found it! She walked over to it and greeted herself.

"Great Deku Tree, I am not a trespasser," Kirby said.

"Ah, the star warrior of Dreamland. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Y-you know me?"

"The trees have spoken to me. I gain wisdom through the eyes of every tree."

"Do you know Whispy Woods?"

"Of course, he's my tree bro."

"That's amazing!"

"Now, I see that you are hiding from a foe. Please feel free to rest here in my sanctuary."

"Oh thank you so much."

"Of course. There's also a hot spring inside me. If you want, I'll let you in. The spring will heal you and keep you warm."

The Great Deku Tree opened his mouth. Kirby with Little Mac still on her back, walked inside. It was so warm here. Wow, it was beautiful too. It looks like a tree house. Well it is, isn't it? She saw that there were also comfy beds. She placed Little Mac in the hot spring. She, too, dipped herself in there. It was so warm and nice. The two relaxed for an hour. Then she stepped out and dried herself off. She helped Little Mac dry himself off too. She prepared their beds and she tucked him in. She gave him a peck on the cheek and made her way to her bed. She closed her eyes and was about to sleep, but Little Mac finally spoke to her.

"Kirby…" Little Mac moaned.

"How are you feeling?"

"I want… I want you next to me."

"There's not enough space."
"I don't care, get over here."

Kirby couldn't help but smile at him. "Ok, but don't blame me if you end up on the floor." She went over to his bed and laid next to him. They were now sharing the small bed. They turned to face each other and cuddled. This is the first time in a long time that she cuddled him to sleep. Tears started to fall off her face because she couldn't believe she was able to come back to this. This feeling of love and safety.

Mario was working on the project with Mickey. The two were creating a machine. Mario was talking to Mickey about the source of power they needed to get this machine to trap The Hands. The two were working on that, while the two clones Gordon and Kawasaki were finally given permission to enter the smash mansion. Everyone asked a bunch of questions as to where they had gone. They said that they were on a trip. They went to Villager's resort as a vacation and sharpened their cooking skills. They also taught the animal crossing villagers new cooking techniques and brand new recipes. The smashers didn't question why they left abruptly. They figured it was because they deserved a vacation for all their hard work during the Grand Smash Christmas Tourney.

While Gordon and Kawasaki kept the smashers busy talking about catering and the wedding cake, Mario and Mickey continued discussing their plans. It was interrupted when Metaknight swooped in the bunker with no Kirby.

Mickey: "Mario, your knight in shining armor is here."

Mario: "Where's-a Kirby?"

Metaknight: "She escaped."

Mario: "She escaped?! How could you have lost her? She's weak in this form."
Metaknight: "She's stronger than she looks."

Mario: "I am so disappointed. Metaknight I can't believe you let her go."
Metaknight: "I did not come empty-handed."

Mickey: "Whatchu mean?"

Metaknight handed Mario the key he found on the floor.

Mario: "This is… What's this key for?"

Metaknight: "I am not sure."

Mickey: "Why would Kirby have a key?"
Mario: "Hmm, I think I might know who this is for."
Mickey: "Who do you think?"

Mario: "I need to pay an old friend a visit."

Mickey: "You do that. I'll stay here and work on the machine some more."
Mario: "Metaknight, good job. You deserve a rest. I'll be back. I have someone to visit."

Metaknight: "Yes, sire."

Mario left the bunker and made his way over to Villager's room. He knocked on the door, but nobody answered. He tried using the key, but that didn't work either. He left from outside to where his balcony is. He saw that the glass door was smashed open. He jumped up using his famous Mario jump to the balcony. He saw Villager struggling on the floor. He was cuffed.

"Hello, old buddy," Mario greeted.

"M-Mario, is that you? Oh thank God, get me out of this."

"Well uh, I would but uh, I need to talk to you."

"What? Y-yeah we can talk just get me out of this please."

"I will, I will, I just uh, I want answers first."

"Answers for what?"

"Well for starters, how did you get yourself cuffed?"

"I uh, well I wanted to try something new."

"Ok, so you did this?"

"Yes, I did this to myself and only me."

"Ok, then why did uh, Kirby have it."

"Kirby? W-what're you talking about?"

"Kirby had the key."

"H-how did you get it back?"

"From her."

"She just gave it to you?"

"So uh, I thought she was in Popstar."

"Uh, well uh…"

"What's up with that?"

"She must've come back."
"Oh really? I have a feeling that you're lying to me."
"I-I'm not, I swear."

"Ok, well since you're not going to tell me the truth, I'mma gonna leave."

"Wait, no! Ok, I lied. She's been here the entire time."

"Here? As in here here?"

"Y-yes."

"Why was she here?"
"I uh, may have kept her here… As my wife."

"What the fuck!"

"Y-yeah, but she wanted it!"

"Holy shit, Villager. That's… Wow. I get it I kidnapped people too, but not as a sex slave. Did you and Kirby… You know?"
"Unfortunately no…"
"Wow, you had the chance and you didn't even do it."

"I wanted it to be genuine."

"At least, you have some sanity left."

"C-can you please let me out now."

"No."
"What? Why?"
"You betrayed me, Villager. You lied. I don't-a like liars."

"She was gone. That's what you wanted!"

"Ya know, if you told me the truth, I would've helped you. She wouldn't have escaped. In fact, how did she do it?"

"She sweet-talked me."

"Wow, she sweet-talked you."

"Listen, I'm sorry. I won't do it again. Please let me out."

"I should kill you."

"Wait, no, please. I helped you out a lot. I did a lot for you."
"That's-a true. Ok fine, I'll spare your life. But now because of you, I have Kirby to deal with again."

"I'm sorry. I didn't think she would escape."

"It's ok. I'm not-a mad anymore."

"Phew."

"But if you ever lie to me again, I will come for you."

"Ok, ok I promise I won't go behind your back."

"Good. Well, I'll see you around."

Mario began walking toward the balcony.

"W-wait, Mario where are you going? A-aren't you going to let me out?" Villager panicked.

"Away."
"B-but what about me?"

"What about you?"

Mario hopped out. He left. He fucking left. Villager started scrambling. At least Kirby didn't chain his hands behind his back. It was in the front, thank god. Well now what? He hasn't eaten in a day. He got up on his two legs and searched for a way to break out. That's when he spotted the key on the floor. Mario left the key. Oh thank god. He tried picking it up but it was a struggle. He kept dropping the key every time he tried to unlock his shackles. It was frustrating. Villager decided to sit and calm down. He took a long break and then he began struggling with the key again.

Link went to visit Zelda in the psychiatric hospital. He saw her in a room. At least she wasn't in a white room. The room she was staying in was a colorful one. It had a nice comfy bed. She wasn't trapped in the room either. They had a gym, a pool, a mini golf club, and other fun recreational stuff.

When she saw him, she ran up to the door and opened it for him. Luckily if she tries anything, everything would be on camera. The people working there watched her 24/7. There's no way that she could do something to him now.

"Hey, Zelda," Link greeted.

"L-Link! What are you doing here?" Zelda hugged him.

"I wanted to check up on you," he said, gently pushing Zelda off of him.

"Really? Why?"

"I still care about you."

"But… I did awful things…"
"I forgive you."

"Seriously?"

"Yeah, but… I'm sorry to say this. I uh, you're only a co-worker to me. I don't know if I can be friends with you again."

"There's really nothing I can do to fix this?"

"Maybe with enough time, I think we could be friends again."

"Link, I'm sorry."

"I know, Zelda. I'm sorry too."

The two hugged it out and he left. He went to the food court. He saw his friends sitting and eating. Now that Zelda is gone, he can talk to whoever he wants. He decided to sit next to Roy and Marth.

Link: "Hey guys."

Roy: "Link! You talked!"

Link: "Uh, yeah I can talk."
Marth: "Hey, how have you been? Haven't seen you since the trial."

Link: "Yeah, I needed some time to myself."

Roy: "I bet. Zelda is crazy."

Link: "You have no idea."

Marth: "Hey, so we were gonna go spar. Want to join?"

Link: "Honestly, yeah. I've never trained with you guys before."

Roy: "We've fought plenty of times, but yeah I've never seen your fighting style."

Link: "Same, you guys are excellent swordsmen."

Roy: "You too, I mean you're the hero of time."

Link: "Haha, still I'm nothing compared to you guys."

Marth: "Are you kidding?"

Roy: "Let's test that out, shall we."

Link: "Are you guys going now?"

Roy: "After we're done eating let's train."
