Chapter 2

- Medical Bay within the Guild -

Valery laid upon a medical bed wincing from the injuries she had sustained from the fight with the Rhydon, she lifted her gaze an checked her surroundings, her eyes scanned the room from looking outside the window, then towards the other empty beds around her, it was rare that guild members were injured from the missions they were sent out to accomplish, and when they were here, they were not in any shape to go back out on any mission for awhile during mandatory recovery, her eyes had finally settled upon a Chansey who was examining an Absol.

The pink mother like pokemon was looking over it's frame and form jolting down notes as she nodded to another pokemon, an Audino who walked up with a small smile taking the clipboard from the Chansey returning to the desk sitting down as she started working on the paperwork for the patient.

"Alright Young Lady, everything seems to be in order, if your mother approves the paperwork and pays for the necessary fees, We can proceed from there and get you outfitted with the proper equipment."

The Absol seemed unamused as she sighed before easing herself to the edge as she leapt off the bed landing on her paws but winced, struggling to get herself upright at first, though as she glanced towards the Chansey, a dead look was within her eyes.

"Thanks for talking to me about what I may need to do."

Chansey nodded before she rubbed her small arms slightly as she held a concerned expression.

"You know, your Mother may not approve of this at all, she's going to be concerned about your well being, your health comes first and foremost before she'll allow you to even consider this option"

Absol's expression never changed as she sat down, her gaze never left the mother like pokemon as she seemed to only have grown annoyed from hearing the same thing again once more.

"I am fully aware that my mother may not approve of what I want, but I can't stay under her care forever as I am growing up, I need to take care of myself and my offspring when the time comes!"

Valery gave a small sigh knowing how the subject was going to go, her ears perked as she saw an Eevee and Zorua rushing over towards her in great concern.

"Valley girl, thank Mother Mew you're ok!"

Valery smiled as she saw her teammates coming up and nuzzling into her frame only Abyss was a little rougher making the Vulpix whine causing Abyss back up apologizing for hurting her.

"Sorry, I'm sorry!"

Valery smiled as she nuzzled Abyss reassuring the Zorua she was ok, however, they all heard a small cough which shifted their attention towards the sound,

A Leafeon sat there looking straight at Vallery, a small purple flower dawned upon under her right ear with a sway in her tail, she got up padding towards the group, placing a paw upon the bed as Diamond and Abyss stepped away giving the Leafeon room to work with.

"So…does anyone care to explain how you ended up like this Miss Valery?

Valery grumbled as she pushed herself up onto her haunches as she explained to the Leafeon what had transpired earlier.

"The Team and I were working on an Outlaw mission which… ended up going wrong as the Rhydon was too strong for us to handle, things..didn't look good for me, i- eep!"

The Leafeon had placed her paws over the pix as her paws started to glow, sending small amounts of energy into the small pokemon, her injuries and wounds started slowly fading away as the Leafeon leaned over a bit as she spoke up.

"Continue…"

Valery sighed from relief as she leaned into the pokemon's paws.

"As Rhydon was going to hit us, this Riolu stepped in an-"

"Wait!" Leafeon interrupted as she lost her concentration, halting the healing process.

"You said a Riolu showed up, a Civilian, stepped into a Guild matter,
The Guild Mistress is going to lose her mind when she hears about this."

"U-umm."

The leafeon shifted her attention towards Diamond.

"T-the Guild Mistress was actually the one who gave us orders to flee and come back here to Valery."

The Leafeon shifted her attention to Valery and Abyss, both of them nodding in agreement.

"That doesn't make any sense at all, why would the Guild Mistress allow her Guild members to flee from a fight, leaving a Civilian to handle an Outlaw…"

Abyss' sighed as her attention diverted towards the Chansey and the Absol from earlier as the Absol had her back turned towards the main entrance doors as she stood.

"Anyway, I should get back home and get my rest for the day. Thank you for your opinion upon the matter, Mrs. Remedy."

Chansey, now known as Remedy, seemed to know this was going to be a long drawn out issue, so she gave a small sigh as she smiled at Absol.

"Of course Seikyra, I will inform your mother and give her my recommendation, i do agree but i also disagree on certain things concer-"

*BAM!*

Both Remedy and Seikyra both shifted their gazes to the Medical room entrance as they're eyes widened in surprise as a Silver Ninetales walked into the room as she called out to those outside and inside the room.

"Everyone out of the way, This civilian is in Critical Condition, i need our nurses on me on the double here and now!"

In tow they could see a small blue form floating in behind her with Psiya

The Audino pushed herself from her desk grabbing some medical wraps as she pointed back to Remedy."

"I need some special herbal medicine mix to apply on these deep wounds, Lillian, come with me, i'm going to need your help with your healing abilities here sweetie!"

The leafeon's expression grew serious as she pulled away from Valery and her friends as she rushed over towards the group, quickly arriving her eyes dilated to the condition of the Riolu as she whispered.

"Mother mew, I'm on it!"

Valery forced herself off her bed despite her friends pleas for her to remain in bed so she could rest, she refused and now standing next to Seikyra who seemed fixated on the Riolu now, her jaw agape seeing the amount of injuries she saw.

'What the hell happened to him, he looks like he fought a Steelix and somehow came back in one piece.'

Seikyra thought to herself as Valery cried out.

"Is he going to be alright?,.. he's the one who saved me and my team out there at Beach Side Coastal."

Slowly Abyss and Diamond came around the bed as Diamond gasped with how badly his injuries were, Abyss' expression was grim and of worry as she spoke under her breath.

"I can't believe he made it back out of that fight alive…"

She closed her eyes, claws digging into the bed as she bared her fangs.

'Ugh, I can't believe this, I should have stayed there to help him in that fight, maybe he wouldn't be like this!'

Guilt wore easily upon Abyss as she felt a tear run down the side of her cheek, Diamond moved over and nuzzled into her frame as she hushed her lightly.
"He'll be ok, we were following our orders girl."

Remedy was in the middle of mixing the batch of medicine as she looked to the Riolu, seeing the severity of his wounds as she even winced.

"Goodness, well.. is anyone going to explain to my staff and i what in Arceus' name happened out there, this Riolu looks like he's knocking on The hall of Origin's gates for legends sake!"

The Audino turned to the Guild Mistress and to Psiya as she pointed to the Riolu as Lillian started working on healing some of his wounds, electing a weak groan from the pokemon.

"Yeah! I want to know how he got in such a condition!"

Psiya blinked to the Medical team as she sighed, pushing her glasses up slightly using psychic making sure to get em back in place as she sat next to her Guild Mistress whose eyes was locked onto Riolu's form, watching his condition carefully.

"Lady Secina and I were headed towards the market center to visit with Spike on a potential shipment issue from one of our suppliers when Diamond and Valery had teleported close by pleading for help, Diamond informed us that the mission was going horribly, We asked Diamond to return to the scene while we prepared ourselves, however as we both arrived to the scene to find our Lil friend here fighting the Outlaw Rhydon, Blunt."

"Wait a minute!"

Everyone turned to Lillian who's eyes were dilated and seemed in surprise and shock as she sat next to the Riolu who seemed to groan while he was unconscious, wincing from his injuries.

"Valery, If what you told me was true and this is the very Riolu that saved your team and our Guild Mistress brought him in for medical treatment, then I want answers on how the hell he's even alive and breathing right now, Blunt, Is a Class A Outlaw, What the hell were you three even thinking out there, He's a Guild Killer!"

Valery shrank back as she lowered knowing she was going to be scolded at this point.

"Lilly, i know, We were at a serious type disadvantage, the mission didn't state who the outlaw was, just that it was a Class A mission, we figured being at Silver Rank, up to Class A+ missions, we could of handle it, even though a B Rank couldn't of helped us in this case cause of the serious disadvantage."

Psiya looked to Abyss who gave her the Document that contained the mission information, her eyes narrowed as she stared at the written information.

"Valery is correct, the Outlaw target was not mentioned nor identified, this mission was a failure from the start, that is crucial information necessary when you work with a requested job, we'll need to investigate this and find out who sent this document to our Board Director and find out who even authorized this onto the job board at that Lady Secina."

Psiya seemed very disgusted and upset about the mishandling of the document's information that she was getting upset at this point, although Valery spoke up as she sighed.

"S-sorry Lady Psiya, i should of looked at it more carefully then i did otherwise we wouldn't be in this situation, but that Riolu though, he's a Civilian, he shouldn't be that strong or have such moves that i've never seen before, He isn't a normal Riolu at all."

Remedy rang out a rag she was using to clean and disinfect his wounds while her Audino partner was wrapping his wounds slowly.

"Make sure you get around his upper right arm there Fauna, two spots there."

Fauna nodded as she lifted his right arm and slowly started wrapping it as she spoke up.

"So where the hell did he come from, I've never seen him around here before, sure as hell never seen one his size either."

Secina stepped forward as she looked to everyone including Seikyra who was watching as they proceeded to work on the Riolu's injuries

"That's because he's from the Village of Light, Mon's there are on a completely different level, especially his kind, Lucario and Riolu in his Village are considered strictly disciplined and trained in the ways of the Alurian Clan, With his fighting style and his methods out there."

'That mark on him though, it makes me question if Arkana was the one teaching this one herself.'

Psiya looked to Secina for a moment, noticing she had stopped talking and started staring off for a moment.

"He used Night Daze, a Move that only my kind are capable of using and mastering, how could he, a mere Riolu perform it, let alone use it, that's my lineage's signature move!

Psiya turned towards Abyss adjusting her glasses giving the Zorua a stern look.

"Abyss sweetie, with all due respect, we only saw what we thought was a 'night daze' attack, even i find it hard to believe that a Riolu, Alurian or not could use such a move it-"

"But, he did use it, I know my kind's move better than any of you can at all, there is the archivist and our head researcher who could even vouch for it if need be but he did use it!"

Abyss was frustrated that she was being told by someone of the eeveelution line about a move that she knows only her kind can create and produce.

Valery interjected as she spoke her mind.

"Lady Psiya, he Really did use NightDaze!"

"He…did use that Odd barrier move none of us ever heard of and something called Aura claw as well, there seems to be moves that none of us may be aware of, which I hate saying it, could be a concern if he turns against any of us."

Valery turned to Diamond as she barked towards her, surprised at such a thought would even cross her mind.

"Diamond, you really think after nearly being killed by an outlaw he would even think of turning against any of us like that?"

"Enough!"

Everyone's attention shifted towards the Guild Mistress as she looked to everyone, ensuring she had the attention focused upon herself.

"We will gather answers from the Riolu once he has awakened and gains consciousness, for the time being for now we will tend to his wounds and injuries and help him along his recovery, Valery, your going to rest for the day and ensure you and your team's report is sitting on my desk first thing in the morning, do i make myself clear young lady."

Valery merely gave a small sigh as she grumbled under her breath.
"Yes' Lady Secina, Girls let's go, We're gonna need to focus on the paperwork tonight anyway."

As Valery's team gathered around her and helped her out of the medical center, Remedy and Fauna watched the three of them leave, Seikyra followed not far behind, giving kitos one more look before she turned and left the medical center.
Psiya turned her attention to Secina as she looked up to her in great concern now as her mind raced and boggled at what they witnessed today, making her shake in place for the moment.

"Mistress, I'm still having a hard time believing that I - We witnessed a Riolu, defeating a Rank A outlaw who's escaped out of our claws each and every time, the moment we finally have that scum locked up, is thanks to some strange Riolu?"

Secina sighed as she padded towards the doors of the medical Wing with Psyia right by her side, but she stopped and motioned to all three girls.

"I want a full detailed report on the Riolu and to make sure he is one hundred percent ok, that's an order to all three of you."

Remedy nodded in silence while Fauna seemed surprised that Secina would give them an order of all things, knowing they will take care of every patient they get Lillian however was sitting by the Riolu, her gaze locked upon the duo as they walked away and out of the room as she muttered to herself.

"You're definitely no normal Riolu that's for sure."

Lillian looked down to the Riolu, her eyes looking him up and down as she gave a small genuine smile giggling.

"Welcome home to our lovely guild, but something tells me things are going to get a little wild and lively around here now because of you."
