CH 3
Daniel did some negotiation between four villages for some things in exchange for some of the things that they got. Jacob notice how close Sam and Jack have gotten, they was flit and tease one another, at lest he knows that she is happy. Week later all the homes were complete and every one was able to relax and since it was a hot day most of the people went swimming to cool off and also have some fun.
Sam was able to make another swimming hole ten meters away; it was twice as big as the first one. Sam notice the change in both Jacob and Jack and they notice the same in Sam, Teal'c and Bra'tac, they were starting to look younger. One morning every one was enjoying breakfast when they smell a sweet smell in the air, then Janet remember what Jan said about the flowers and smile. She walked over to where Sam is
"Morning Sam"
"Morning Janet can you smell that?"
"Yes, remember what is told you about what Jan told me"
"Yes, excuse me" she walked over to where Jack and Jacob is talking while Janet looked around and saw Daniel and walked over towards him. Jack and Jacob notice all the women were acting strange all morning, then notice Sam walking over to them
"Morning Sam"
"Morning dad, Jack"
"Sam what's going on?"
"Mating season"
Then she pulled Jack towards her and kisses him in front of Jacob, then she held on to jack hand and walk toward her house.
"See you later dad" she called out.
Jacob looked around and noticed Janet was doing the same thing to Daniel and they were walking toward her place and other women from the two villages that they saved were also doing the same thing. He walked over to where Teal'c and the other men were, then he and Selmac remember what Janet told them about the flower and sweet smell and what it dose to a women.
"Well it looks like we are on our own for the next few days"
"We better make sure that they got plenty of food and water for them" Teal'c said,
"Ok we might as well keep out selves busy"
Over the next ten days all the single men made sure that there was gallon jugs that was made from the ship filled with water for the couples and also made sure that there was plates full of food for them. The only time they saw any one comes out of the house was to put down the empty jug and bowl and then pick up the full jug and bowls of fruit before returning back into the house.
On the eleventh day, couples started coming out of the house and headed down to the river with clean clothes and fruit juice and juices from flowers which was collected and made it to a shower gel. When they return back from the river they were all smiling and talking. Jacob noticed he hasn't seen Jack and Sam anywhere and Sam door is still close. He walked over to Janet who was talking to some of the women
"Janet I'm worried about Jack and Sam"
"What do you mean Jacob?"
"They haven't come out of Sam place and it all most dinner time"
"Ok I'll go and find out if they are ok"
She started to walk over to Sam place when the door open, Jack and Sam walked out with there hair all over the place and smiles on there faces. Jack gave her a kiss and walk over to his place which was next door with a small bounce in his step while Sam walk to the river.
"Well at lest you know that they are ok"
"Yeah, so you and Daniel" he said smiling
"Well why not we both have had lost a lot in our pass and I like him" he raised an eye brow
"You like him"
"Yes"
"Ok"
"Ok one thing that he and I talk about is Nigeria, we were wondering if she went through what all of us women went through and what about her off spring, where are they?"
"You know, that is a good question, I'll go and talk to Aaron in the morning"
"Ok good idea" then they saw Jack walk out of his place and headed to the river him self.
"At lest Jack a good man"
"True, come on lets go and find out what for dinner, who turn is it to cook?"
"SG eight"
"Ah, ok"
They walk toward the big mess hall that was build for the SG and medical teams, Bra'tac, ry'ac and Jacob to have their meals. The villagers that was rescued wanted to cook for there own families but they were still wanted to help out around the place with things that needed to be done like chopping wood for there homes hunting meet and taking care of the gardens and also help one another out. They all were sitting down to eat when jack and Sam walked in and got their meal and sat down with the others and talk. Month later Jan ran into their village looking for Janet.
"Janet" she yelled out, Janet turn to see her running towards her, so she walk quickly over to her
"Jan what is it?"
"One of the women from the next village arrived in Labor, some thing is wrong, can you please help"
"Sure." Then she ran in to her house and ran back out
"Kate, Steven with me now, medical emergency" they ran back to Jan village to where the women is who is in Jan home.
When they got there the women was screaming as another contraction hit. Janet put her hand on the women stomach then got her step scope out and check the baby heart beat. Then she started barking order, They moved the bed so Kate was on the other side of the bed, while Steven put some chloroform on the cloth and put it under the women nose and mouth till she was asleep then Janet start working by cutting the women open
"You killing her"
"No I'm not, we been doing this C-session for years, watch and lean, how is she Steven?"
"Every thing is normal"
"Good" Jan watch what Janet dose then she saw the baby being lifted out and the cord removed from around the baby neck as it started to cry as it took it first breath.
"It's a girl" she pass it to Kate who was holding a towel cloth then Janet tied the cord and cut it, then Kate took the baby away to get clean up while Janet finish up what she was doing, when finish
"How her BP?"
"130 over 70"
"That good, she going to be ok"
"That is incredible"
"Thanks" Janet went to check on the baby while Jan went out side to her the women mate know that he got a daughter. Jacob and Daniel were there.
"Jan, I can heal her" he shows the healing device.
"What is that?"
"Healing device"
"Sure come on in Jacob" Janet said in the doorway. Jacob walk in and over to the bed, he used the device to heal the women, when he finish and turn to the others
"She will be about to return to her village tomorrow"
"Thank you"
"Your welcome"
Few minutes later the women woke up, Jan, Janet and Kate were able to sit her up so she could hold her daughter and also breast-feed her. Half an hour later Janet, Kate, Steven and Jacob return back to their village when they told the others the good news. Later that after noon Janet and Sam were swimming under the water falls.
"Janet"
"Yes Sam"
"I think it is this water and the radiation coming from the rings that is making us look and feel younger"
"Why so you say that?"
"Well when Jack and I were making love, he told me that there was no pains in his back and knees and look at all of us were slowly looking younger"
"Well that is true, you look like when I first met you six years ago"
"I know you to"
"What about Jack and your father"
"I know, but I'm worried about Selmac, I don't know what affect it having on her"
"Well perhaps you should talk to you dad then"
"Yeah, hey here comes Jack and Daniel" Janet turned around to see them walking over to the edge of the river
"Can we come and join you ladies" Jack asked smiling
"Sure"
Both Janet and Sam turned around with there backs to the men while they get undress, couple minutes later they heard three splashes
"Ok you can turn around now" Jacob said they turn around to see the three men slowly swimming over to them.
"Enjoying your swim?"
"Yep, how things back at the village?"
"Good" Jacob said
"Dad how Selmac"
"She good surprising there been no affect on her what every this planet is doing to us"
"If there is any problems let me know Jacob"
"You don't have to worry Janet, Jan gave me some of that green juice, the same stuff that Nigeria drank after she found out that I was a tok'ra"
"How did she know how to make it?"
"Well it was her great, great grand mother who made the juice up for Nigeria, she told Jan when she was young what planets to use to make the juice up just in case any more tok'ra get stranded here and also to pass it on to the next generation"
"Ok, how Bra'tac, Teal'c and Ry'ac?"
"They are both good, Bra'tac starting to look younger"
"We know, all of us are feeling younger"
"I found some more writing left behind from Nigeria" Daniel said,
"What did it say?" Sam asked
"That she was going to keep this place a secret from Ra and all the system lords"
"So she must have been the one who started telling the other system lords about how she manage to survive so long on the planet. From what Selmac could remember that the rumour was that she just manage to servive cause what every it was on this planet slowly killed the villagers one by one and when she saw Ra she was weak and sick"
"But can a symboite can make some one sick?"
"No but before she walk to the ship she took bit of piece of fruit that made her ill years earlier she tried it for the first time, it made her ill. It took her a week to get better, Aaron told me this last week," Daniel said
"So that is the real reason why it is known as the forbidden planet" Janet said
"Yep"
"Jack have you look at the death gilders while we been here?"
"Yes why?"
"What condition are they in?"
"Why do you asked Sam"
"Well if they are in good condition I could try to make a small cargo ship out of it and bits from the two tel'tac, so we can use it to check the areas out and can be used for emergency. Like with that women who was having problem delivering, Janet and her staff could fly to them, but we will have to think up some sort of signal from each village too let us know that there is a problem"
"That sounds like a good idea Sam" Jacob said
"Thanks and I was thinking that with the tel'tac we could build a hospital of sorts, what do you think Janet?"
"That is a good idea Sam" Janet said
"Ok tomorrow I want to see the four death gliders and work it from there"
"While you are doing that we can start planing on building hospital" they all talk about other things while swimming around before getting out and dress.
Over the next month Sam, Jacob Teal'c and Bra'tac have been working of the first mini cargo ship while they others slowly pull one of the tel'tac apart and started building the hospital where there was an operating room, maternity room, wards and officers. When sam was working one morning she sway and Jacob notice
"Sam are you ok?"
"Yeah just tired I guest"
"Well you been working on this from dawn to dusk, while don't you get some rest"
"I'll be fine dad"
"Ok" they all carry on working for the next half hour when she collapse
"Sam" Jacob was next to her on the ground
"Teal'c an you carry her"
Teal'c lifted Sam up in his arms and they walk quickly to the village, Bra'tac had already ran ahead to get Janet. When they reach the village
"Take Sam in to her home" Janet said
Then she followed Teal'c into her home then walked outs and closed the door behind him and standing guard. Jack ran over when he heard what happen
"Jacob, what happen"
"She collapse Jack, Janet is in with her now" he just nodded and sat down next to Jacob
"Don't worry she will be ok, she just over work, you know what she is like"
"Yeah I do Jacob I do"
In side the house Janet was checking Sam pulse when she came to
"Hey, how are you feeling"
"Janet" when she open her eyes
"Yeah it me"
"I think I'm going to be sick"
Janet quickly grab a bowl and pass it to Sam just in time for her to bring up her lunch that she just had an hour ago. Then Janet got her some water so she could rinse her mouth out, when finish she pass the bowl and cup back to Janet before lying back down again. Janet moved them over to the table before returning back to Sam.
