Scream V (2022) My Version
Chapter Fourteen: Concerns
At the Loomis household, Sidney had sat down at the table. They had been silent for awhile after learning that ghost face may be making another appearance. All but Sean were worried.
"Ghost face is back?" Scott asked angered.
"Not again." Jill said frowning hard. Robbie instinctively rubs her shoulder.
"This can't be happening again." Robbie said.
"Sid what did he say?" Billy asked.
"He said there were four attacks and two people are dead." Sidney said. "He wants us to stay away."
"Good cause I can't go back there." Jill said as Robbie nodded.
"We lost our best friends. Hasn't ghost face traumatized enough people?" Robbie said.
"You two aren't going back are you?" William asked.
"Fuck no." Scott said cursing.
"Scott used a swear word." Sean said innocently.
"Shut up squirt." Scott said.
"Scott no cursing in front of your brother." Sidney said.
"No we will not be going back there." Billy said.
"I'm worried about uncle Dewey." William said.
"Me to." Sidney said as Billy nods.
"Who is ghost face?" Sean asks.
"He's a real life boogie man. If you don't behave, he'll come after you." Scott said scaring Sean. "BOO!" He said smirking. Sean screams and runs in Billy's arms.
"DADDY!" Sean cries.
"Scott knock it off." Billy said to him. William shoved him.
"What it was funny." Scott said smiling proud of playfully scaring his little brother.
"What should we do?" Jill asked.
"I say we do nothing until we know what's going on." Robbie said.
"I agree. Right now Dewey was just letting me know what's going on. The best we can do is wait for any updates." Sidney said.
"I'm with you babe." Billy said. They all continued eating their breakfast even though they were concerned for Dewey, they needed to heed his warning to stay away.

Dewey after hanging up his phone call with Sidney decided to call Gale. He pressed the button on his phone to dial Gale's number. The phone rang and a young man answered. Dewey recognized his voice. It was Tommy. His voice was much deeper because he and Gabe are both seventeen years old now. Gabe is in the room with him.
"Tommy how's it going?" Dewey asked.
"Uncle Dewey hey." Tommy said. "Long time no here."
"Yeah I know it's been awhile. How's things going with you?" Dewey asked.
"Things are great. I got a new girlfriend." Tommy said.
"She hot?" Dewey asked.
"Oh yeah." Tommy said smiling.
"Nice." Dewey genuinely happy for his nephew.
"Oh and guess what?" Tommy asked.
"What?" Dewey asked.
"I'm on the school newspaper. Isn't that wild?" Tommy said.
"Yeah that's fantastic T. I'm proud of you." Dewey said. "Tatum and Mickey would be proud to."
"Thanks uncle D." Tommy said happy to hear that.
"He still mad at me?" Dewey asked referring to Gabe.
"Hold on. Let me check." Tommy said putting the phone to his chest. He looks over at Gabe who is frowning. "Do you wanna talk to him?" Gabe shakes his head no. "He still pissed." He said to Dewey.
"I get it." Dewey said sadly. He knew his son was mad at him but was giving him the silent treatment like a pro. It hurt him deeply.
"You'd be proud of your boy cause he made the varsity team." Tommy said.
"He did?" Dewey asked excitedly for Gabe.
"Yep. That jump shot you taught him is his signature move. The basketball team loves it. Plus both of us are getting A's in all our classes." Tommy said proudly.
"That is so cool. I'm proud of you both. Keep it up. You two are going places." Dewey said smiling. It warmed his heart to know his son and nephew are doing well. "I called to see if Gale was home."
"No she went out of town for a story." Tommy said.
"Ok." Dewey said disappointed. "Do me a favor tell her I called ok." He asked. "I tried calling her cell but she didn't answer."
"Ok. I'll let know." Tommy said.
"Ok." Dewey said pausing a second. Tommy noticed this.
"Uncle Dewey is everything ok?" Tommy asked. Gabe looked over.
"Yes. I want you to know that I love you and Gabe. I love you both and no matter what happens always know that ok?" Dewey said.
"Ok. We love you to." Tommy said. "Talk to you later."
"Ok later." Dewey said hanging up the phone. Dewey decided to drop Gale a text message.
Gf maybe back. Stay safe. Love you.
After sending the message, Dewey nods satisfied they he had contacted the people he loved to warn them hoping to keep them safe. He hadn't told Tommy what was going on fearing he and Gabe would get on a plane and come back to Woodsboro. He didn't want that. They'd be in danger. He went through this already and wasn't going through it again.
Dewey realized that he had to say that to his nephew and son just in case things went south. He knows how important it is to say the things you wanna say because you never how much time you have left with them. He started his truck and took off down the road. He wondered if he'd see Gale again so he could tell her the same thing he told his nephew and son.
