AN: This chapter contains spoilers for the 'Sword of Summer'.

January 12

Annabeth

Annabeth rubbed her hands together, breathing on them as she tried to keep the frigid January air from giving her frostbite. She had made the mistake of forgetting her gloves back at her dorm so now she was waiting for her train with hands that could potentially freeze on her.

She took her phone out of her coat pocket to look at the time.

5:40 PM.

The train should have arrived five minutes ago. What was taking so long? Was it delayed again due to the weather… or another cow? Hera still didn't seem to be over her little grudge.

She tightened her scarf then set her hands back in her coat pockets and started rocking slightly front and back. She closed her eyes as she reminisced about the events that were to transpire soon.

She and her father, Frederick, were going to Boston the following day to see if they could find her cousin Magnus. As they learned, the poor guy has been homeless for the past couple of years, while his mother, Natalie, died in a freak accident. Even though her Uncle Randolph was present in Boston, he claimed he knew nothing of Magnus' whereabouts and was not helpful in helping locate her cousin. Now she and her father would have to head to Boston to locate Magnus and make sure he's taken care of.

She was unsure how long the whole ordeal would last. She hoped it would be done in a day or two, but knowing her luck, it may take weeks to locate her cousin.

A small part of her was irked by the fact that Magnus never bothered to contact her or her father for help. The poor guy was homeless for years now. Did he never once consider asking family for help?

Her train of thought was ended when the train finally arrived. The rush hour traffic made it difficult for patrons to leave and enter the train, but she managed, thankful to be out of the harsh cold. She grabbed onto a handlebar and saw as the sights of the city changed as the train moved.

The setting sun colored the sky warm shades of reds, oranges, yellows and pink. She took her phone out again to see if she got other messages. Nothing. Communications were still not working as expected. Iris messages and cell phones were having issues communicating with demigods. She had been unable to contact Jason or Piper in California since the last time she saw them during the Christmas Break. She could occasionally get a message to camp, but distances larger than that were practically impossible.

She took a deep breath, trying to push the negative thoughts away. Tomorrow she would leave for Boston which meant that this evening was the last she would spend in New York for perhaps weeks. Knowing this, she and Percy decided to plan a last minute 'date'. Date in air quotes since they were just planning to have some coffee and visit a bookstore to get Percy another SAT prep book. He had gotten his scores back from his second attempt, and for a lack of better words, he bombed it. He was really upset, especially after she saw how hard he had worked.

To make it a bit better, she wanted to take him to a bookstore and fetch another prep book and maybe have some coffee on the way. Sure, not the most excitable date, but it was last minute, so there was only so much she could do.

Thankfully the train arrived at her stop within 15 minutes. No cows got in the way today.

She walked to the Jackson apartment where she knocked. Seconds later Sally opened the door and took her in.

"Oh, Annabeth dear, it's great to see you again. Come in, come in, it's freezing out there," Sally beckoned with a smile.

"Thanks Sally," Annabeth said with a wide grin. She walked into the warm cozy apartment, taking her coat off and hung it on the coat rack.

"Percy told you were going to Boston because of your cousin."

"Yes. It's a family emergency."

"I understand, dear. Hope it all gets resolved." Sally motioned to the living room coffee table. "Can I offer any tea or coffee? Hot chocolate perhaps? You're probably freezing."

"I'll take some tea if you don't mind."

"Of course, dear." Sally came back moments later with a mug of warm tea and handed it to Annabeth. "Percy's still getting ready but let me know if you need anything else."

Annabeth took a sip of the tea, letting the liquid warm her up and the mug removed the cold from her fingers. She looked around the apartment, it was quiet. Paul wasn't home and the TV was playing on low in the background. After finishing her tea, she handed her mug back to Sally and said she would go see if Percy was ready.

Annabeth walked to his room where the door was slightly ajar. She knocked on it but didn't get a response. She nudged the door open to see that there was no one inside. She moved inside, taking a seat on his desk, and looking at the cork board filled with photographs.

There were pictures of their friends at camp, a younger Percy with Sally in Montauk, Percy at a swim meet and with his friends, medals around their necks. A lazy Sunday picture, both in their pajamas, him giving her a piggyback ride. A picture of Annabeth laying on top of him sleeping together with him drooling on the couch.

She stared at a picture of herself and Percy kissing right after they started dating. It was a picture that Connor sneaked when he was hiding in the bushes. It was a nice picture, they were by the lake, their feet ankle deep and holding each other. Back then Percy was only about an inch taller than she was. After being kidnapped by Hera and reuniting after many months, he had grown several more inches. He was about a head taller than her now, and his height allowed him to give her forehead kisses comfortably, which she was far from complaining about, but she couldn't tease him about his height anymore.

"Oh, you're here early." Percy's voice brought her out of her trance.

Slowly turning her head around to the sound of his voice she said, "or maybe you're just late like always Seaweed-" she cut herself off when she caught sight of him. She was, for a lack of better words, caught off guard.

He was standing by the doorway, his jeans fitting slightly loose around his hips, so she caught sight of the band of his underwear and the v of his hips. He looked like he had just come out of the shower with water still glistening on his tan torso emphasizing the ridges and valleys of his well-built chest and abs which were only further emphasized by the dim bedroom lighting. He had a towel draped on his shoulders which he was using to dry his hair. She admired the way that his biceps bulged and how the veins on his arms looked when he was drying his hair.

Percy wasn't bulky like Frank or the Ares kids, but he was far from unimpressive. His build was lean and muscular like a swimmer's as opposed to a bodybuilder. Sometimes she wondered if he was a renaissance sculpture of a Greek God come to life.

He stopped toweling his hair. He looked at her with a quizzical look. "What's wrong?"

"Just looking at the pictures on the board."

Yeah right, of course I was. She told herself.

She turned trying to ignore the slight blush coming to her face. Why was she getting flustered? She had literally seen him naked on multiple occasions for gods sake.

Maybe because she was caught off guard?

He walked over to her then leaned down by the desk, placing a hand down to look at the board. She caught the scent of his body wash. "Which one are you looking at?"

She pointed to the one where they were kissing in the water. "That one was a nice picture," she commented.

"Wasn't that the one that Connor took from the bushes?"

She snorted. "Yep, that's the one."

"I'll have to thank him again. It's a sweet picture." He leaned in closer to give her a kiss on her forehead. "Hi by the way."

She leaned up to return the gesture, looking into his eyes and giving him a kiss on the cheek. "Hi."

He grinned then made his way across the room to his closet rummaging through his clothes. She took note of the way the muscles moved on his broad back.

"So, when do you leave for Boston again?" He asked, taking a long sleeve shirt off a hanger.

"Tomorrow morning."

"Just you and your dad?"

"Yep."

"You sure you don't want me to go with you?"

"We've talked about this. It's a family emergency and you're not family."

He took a sweatshirt off the hanger. "Not yet at least," he said smugly.

"Let's save that until after we graduate college. And besides, you need to study for your SAT."

"Lucky me," he sighed. He placed the shirt and sweatshirt on the bed. He reached for his neck and realized he was missing something. "Left my camp necklace in the bathroom, I'll be right back."

"Don't be late," she quipped.

He rolled his eyes at her.

He came back half a minute later, tying the necklace on his neck. They decided to move the pendants they got for each other for their anniversary to their camp necklace so that they wouldn't have to put on multiple necklaces. He was also wearing the watch she and Tyson made for him on his left wrist. She made sure it was waterproof.

She watched as he moved around the room, putting on his belt and then the white long-sleeved shirt from earlier and then a sweatshirt on top. He gathered his socks and winter boots then took a seat on his bed.

"So, your cousin Agnes-"

"Magnus," she corrected.

"Right, Magnus. You said you used to know him when you were kids."

She rubbed her temple. "We used to be closer when we were younger when I lived in Virginia. Some shit went down between my dad, my aunt Natalie, and my uncle Randolph, and since then we haven't seen each other much." She paused, looking around the room. Perry the Panda Pillow Pet was resting on Percy's bed. "Just found out that my Aunt Natalie died in a mysterious fire two years ago and we don't know what happened to Magnus. Randolph hasn't been helpful in helping us locate him." Percy stood up and moved towards her, pulling her off the chair and wrapping an arm around her. "My dad and I are going to Boston to find him before something happens."

He kissed her forehead. "Damn that sucks. Hope you find him."

She inhaled and exhaled. "That's the plan."

He grabbed her hand, intertwining his fingers with hers. He then pulled her closer and embraced her in a hug. Her head nestled comfortably in the crook of his neck with his chin resting on top of her head. Her hands bunched up the fabric of his sweatshirt, his arms holding her in a warm embrace. She felt so much anxiety learning about her cousin and some of it dissipated in his warm welcoming arms.

He broke the silence a moment later. "He's a Chase. I'm sure he'll be fine."

She leaned in closer and gave him a light kiss on his neck. One of his hands moved behind her head, playing with her hair.

"As much as I like being in this position with you Annabeth, we really should think about leaving soon. Doesn't the store close at 9?"

She took a breath. "Just one more moment." She kept her arms around him then they split apart, making their way out of his room. After a brief conversation with Sally to let her know where they were going, they put their winter coats on and headed downstairs to catch their bus to the bookstore.

Luck was on their side today; they didn't have to wait long for the bus to arrive and the traffic wasn't bad. Also, no cows stood in the way of blocking the bus so that was a plus.

They held hands while entering the bookstore, the smell of coffee and new books flooding her senses. The sound of Percy's grumbling stomach let her know that they should get something to eat, or he would be a pain to deal with while in the store.

They waited in line, Percy having an arm wrapped around her waist as she leaned against his side.

Percy raised an eyebrow when she told the barista what she was ordering.

"Must you always order something so basic like that?" He commented when Annabeth ordered a plain black coffee. It was her go to drink. "Isn't it like super bitter? There's like 30 other things on the menu that taste better."

"It's practical and I like it," she argued. A small smirk grew on her face as she looked up at him. "I'm buying today. I won't buy you that muffin and sandwich you want if you don't zip it."

He proceeded to zip it as he didn't comment anymore about her coffee preferences.

After their short coffee date, they agreed to look around the store for a bit to see if there was anything they liked before meeting up. She also reminded him to look at the SAT prep section.

"Yes ma'am," he had saluted with a wink before he went on his way.

As she looked around the store, she wanted to find some reading material for her trip to Boston. She looked around the sections starting at the Fantasy section which was populated by the works of Tolkien, Sanderson, and Maas among many others. Most of the books were part of series and quite thick, she was unsure if she would have the time or patience to read something like that.

She practically ignored the romance section. She always found them so cheesy. Besides, she thought her love story could outdo any of the stories in those books.

One way or another she ended up in the myth and legends section where there were some titles that she recognized.

The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

Ariadne and Atalanta by Jennifer Saint

The Odyssey by Homer, Translated by Emily Wilson

Daughter of the Moon Goddess by Sue Lyn Tan

Circe by Madeline Miller (Maybe she'd give Percy that one)

She always enjoyed reading mythological retellings to see the way in which the old tales were told and interpreted for modern audiences and under different perspectives. She continued scanning the area, trying to find the perfect book to take on her trip.

The Penelopiad by Margaret Atwood

Gods of Jade and Shadow by Sylvia Moreno-Garcia

Greek Gods by Percy Jackson… wait what?

She had to blink a couple times to make sure that she was seeing things right. It must have been a new release since it wasn't here the last time she visited the store. She blinked again then took the book in her hands, double checking that she wasn't seeing things.

Greek Gods by Percy Jackson

She inspected it, wondering how many Percy Jacksons there could be. Certainly, this must be different Percy from her Percy, right? Only way to find out. She flipped the title pages and saw the dedication page. She had to bite back a cry as she read it.

And all demigods out there

May you all live among the stars.

She placed her hand on top of her mouth to fight back the cry that was threatening to come out. She could feel her eyes welling up at the memories of her fallen comrades and everyone else that was no longer with them. She felt a singular tear going on her cheek and wiped it away as soon as it came. She took a deep breath to calm herself before thinking further about the book.

Her Percy had written a book and got it published without her knowing a thing. She was unsure whether to feel impressed or angry at him for not telling her anything. She was sure to confront him when she next saw him, which should be within the next several minutes. She flipped the pages to the introduction chapter where Percy was explaining the whole reason for writing the book. She smiled as he explained his deal with the publisher and his good deed for the week.

I HOPE I'M GETTING EXTRA CREDIT FOR THIS.

A publisher in New York asked me to write down what I know about the Greek Gods, and I was like "Can we do this anonymously? I don't need the Olympians mad at me again."

But if it helps you to know your Greek Gods and survive an encounter with them if they ever show up in your face, then I guess writing all this down will be my good deed for the week.

If you don't know me, my name is Percy Jackson. I'm a modern-day demigod – a half god, half mortal son of Poseidon- but I'm not going to say much about myself. My story has already been written down in some books that are totally fiction (wink, wink) and I'm just a character from the story (cough-yeah, right, cough).

She flipped into the first chapter where she began reading about how the Greeks thought the world came into being. His unique writing style and witty comments made her decide right there that this would be the book that she was going to take on her trip.

"Hey, you won't believe what I found upstairs." Percy's voice broke her out of her trance for the second time that day.

She closed the book then turned to look at him. His expression went from excited to cautious. It also didn't help that he was holding a light blue penguin Squismallow. Perhaps it was a Pokémon she wasn't sure. Her understanding of pop culture was limited.

"So…" she began. She handed the book to Percy so he could look. He placed the penguin on the table. "When were you going to tell me you wrote a book?"

He didn't take it but rubbed the back of his head. "I see you spoiled the surprise."

"I spoiled it. I didn't even know."

"That's why it was a surprise." He ran a hand through his hair. "I was gonna tell you, you know. It was published like two days ago." He started flipping through the pages. "Wow, these illustrations are sick. Rick and John did a great job with them."

Annabeth grabbed another book from the table flipping it open. "So, what's the story behind the book?"

Percy spent the next twenty minutes explaining how his high school project landed him a publishing deal. He explained his mother's agent getting in contact with him, the actual writing and finally the final publication and how he got major help from his mom as well.

"Did you do any research?" Annabeth asked.

He shrugged. "A little. Most of it was from memory. All those mythology classes from Chiron and what you and my mom taught me."

"You were actually listening?"

He scoffed. "Of course I was. Did you think I just zoned out?"

"Definitely."

"Rude."

Annabeth whistled. "I'm surprised you managed all that."

"I'm slow sometimes, but not stupid."

"Debatable."

"Watch it, Wise Girl! Don't make me regret giving you an autographed copy."

She grinned, placing the book back on the table. Percy placed his book on the table as well. She got in closer, wrapping her arms around his neck and pulled him down for a kiss. Just a quick peck, nothing fiery. "Can't believe my Seaweed Brain wrote a book. Can I expect to see it on the New York Times Best Sellers?" She joked.

He shrugged. "Who knows, it was more a project than anything. I don't really care if it sells well or not. I wrote it to help demigods learn about the Olympians."

She got on her toes to give him another quick kiss. "Your good deed of the week huh?"

He smiled. "Definitely."

She looked back at the penguin resting on the table. "What's with the penguin? I thought I told you to go to the SAT prep section."

Percy grabbed the penguin and hugged it lovingly. The penguin's beady eyes stared into Annabeth's soul.

"It's he adorable? I ran into him upstairs. It's Piplup from Pokémon. I'm taking him home." Annabeth was about to make a teasing comment when he spoke up again. "Don't even argue with me Annabeth. I made my decision."

Well, there's that. They came to the bookstore to look for prep material and he was going to leave with a blue penguin. It was cute, she had to admit.

"Fine," she breathed. "But let's go get what we actually came here to get."

They went upstairs where she picked out a prep book. All the while, Percy kept gushing over the penguin.

"If you aren't careful, Wise Girl, Piplup will beat you in the cuddle department. He's so squishy," he teased. "Here, why don't you give him a squeeze?"

He grabbed her hand and placed it on the penguin. He looked at her expectantly. She rolled her eyes but acquiesced as she gave the penguin a squeeze. She had to admit, it was very soft and squishy.

"...So?" He asked.

"So what?"

"What do you think? Think he's squishy?"

"Come on, we better go. It's almost closing time."

He huffed in disappointment as she left him behind.

After paying for the book and the penguin they decided to make a quick stop back at his apartment before he walked her to her dorm.

Percy placed the penguin on his bed then opened one of the drawers on his desk. Inside was a wrapped present. He handed it to her. "Here you go. Open it."

She tore the paper open to reveal the same book she saw in the bookstore. She opened it and saw the message that was written inside.

To the Wisest of all Girls, Annabeth Chase

From your Seaweed Brain, Percy Jackson

Yep, she was definitely going to take it as her reading for the Boston trip.

"Do you like it?" He asked. "That's book number three that I've autographed."

"What about the other two?" She inquired.

"Well, my mom and Paul got the second one, and my dad called dibs on the first one."

"Poseidon got an autographed copy?"

"Yep, how else do you think I didn't get vaporized while writing it. I said some not so nice things about Hera and Zeus."

"You really are quite the risk taker, aren't you?"

He grinned. "That's my whole brand." He looked at his watch. "Let me walk you home."

She tucked the book under her arm. "Let's," she conferred.

Half an hour later, they were inside her empty dorm room. Percy had his arms around her with her head pressed against his chest and would not let her go.

"Are you sure you don't want me to go with you? I promise I'll be on my best behavior," he murmured, with his face pressed onto her hair.

"I already told you Percy, I need you to stay on your best behavior here and prep for the SAT."

"Screw the SAT. I don't want to leave you."

She laid her head on his shoulder. "I know babe, but I need to do this. It's a family thing and I don't want you getting involved."

He put his hand on her chin, lifting her face up. "You'll come back to me, right?" The look in his eyes was pleading.

"I always will. You know that." And with that she reached to touch his lips to hers. Unlike their quick pecks from earlier this kiss was much more intense, desperation and longing ran along it. Her hands moved to the hair in the nape of his neck, pulling him closer, nibbling at his bottom lip.

Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena, Architect of Olympus, Retriever of the Athena Parthenos, known for her well-thought-out plans and pride that could rival some gods was brought to her knees the second Percy deepened the kiss. Unlike their quick pecks from earlier, this kiss was much more intense, filled with desperation and longing. Her knees buckled by the sheer intensity and intimacy that he was giving her. Her brain fried from all the sensations she was going through like sensory overload.

Perhaps all that sensory overstimulation would explain how she and Percy ended up in their current predicament.

Now, it was normal for the couple to make out in the dorm from time to time. Hell, one time Annabeth dragged Percy into the supply closet at the end of the hall where they proceeded to make out and uh... grind against each other (fully clothed of course). Then there was the other time they went to the same supply closet and made out for about 20 seconds. Annabeth pushed Percy against the wall where he accidentally switched the lights on, and they received a surprise.

Annabeth's volleyball teammate, Grace, was making out with her significant other. They all scrambled when they noticed each other with Percy nearly tripping on a mop bucket and almost falling on his face.

Apparently, the supply closet was a popular make out spot.

Now if you were to ask Annabeth how they ended up in this position, she would say that her judgment was clouded by teenage hormones. It was normal for teenagers to feel like this, right? Right?

Besides, who could blame her if she wanted to get just a little scandalous with her cute boyfriend right before she would be leaving for a trip for who knows how long.

Thankfully what they were doing wasn't too scandalous. On a scale of kissing to full on screwing buck ass naked, their activity right now leaned more towards the more innocent side.

At least we are fully clothed. Annabeth couldn't help but point out.

One way or another, they ended up on her bed, Percy on top of her as he pressed his lips onto her neck. Oh gods did it feel good when his lips pressed on her collarbone, the sensation spreading all the way to her toes. She ran her hands across his shoulders and gripped his hair to give herself some leverage from his incessant love building a small boat in the vast sea for herself. This boat was yanked away from her the second he pressed his knee against her core and sent shockwaves up her body and forcing a small moan out of her.

Again, she wanted some leverage against his action so she ran her own hands across his shoulders then down to his ass where she started gently squeezing him. He stopped his efforts for a second knowing that he was smirking at her before going back to his previous efforts on her neck.

She moaned a bit louder when his knee pressed against her core again sending a second wave of electricity through her body, causing her to gasp and grip his ass tighter. A small part of her knew they had to stop soon before it got serious, before clothes flew off and they started doing all sorts of things to each other. The last thing she needed was someone walking in while they were screwing or doing other things naked.

"Percy… we can't," she barely managed through her labored breaths. He either didn't hear her or chose to ignore her because he spread her legs apart and dropped his hips onto her core. She saw sparks fly when his rigid length pressed against her folds.

Even though they were both wearing pants she could discern every little detail. The length and girth as he pressed against her.

This was a bad idea. Scratch that, this was a terrible idea. But then why did it feel so good? He started grinding his hips against her all while he continued peppering kisses on her neck.

She pressed her hands on his hair, pressing against his scalp as he continued grinding and gently biting her pulse point.

He pulled back slightly and slammed his hips against her core again, sending sparks up her body for the second time. Were they about to do this in the dorm? She could get in huge trouble but right now that concern was being pushed aside as his length continued to be pressed against her folds. The logical part of her was being pushed aside by the desire she was feeling. Desire to have him inside her and satisfy the ever-growing ache between her thighs.

Annabeth suddenly got an idea. Something that they hadn't done before and was curious about (a trait common to Athena children). She wanted to know how it would feel to ride one of Percy's toned thighs. She had to do this at least once in her life to feel satisfied. She gently coasted him off her and had him sit at the edge of the bed where she told him to spread his legs for her. She slowly sat on one of thighs and began moving back and forth, allowing the sweet friction to satiate the need in her core.

As she continued allowing the friction to work her, she knew that Percy wouldn't stay sitting down. She counted on him doing things to her as she moved up and down his thigh. He wrapped one of his arms around her waist, while pressing his face and his lips back onto her neck, gently biting her pulse point, and probably leaving a mark in his wake.

The combination of his mouth on her neck and the friction on her core sent heat and shockwaves to every part of her body. She could feel the heat start building inside her like hot coals in a fireplace, sweat beginning to drip down her body and the need to take her clothes off.

Fuck this felt better than she thought it would which only meant that he pulled her up higher on his thigh, her core hit his sizable bulge and it knocked all the breath out of her, causing her to let out another involuntary moan.

Percy gasped out when she hit it. "Baby…keep going," he groaned before returning his mouth to her neck.

When it came to the couple getting intimate, Percy generally took the lead. He turned into a different version of himself. A version that she only saw when it came to sex. More dominant yet gentle at the same time. He called her baby and on occasion princess which always sent heat through her. She especially enjoyed when he got rough, like when he pressed her up against a wall.

Annabeth wanted more right now. The ache in her core was increasing. She wanted something inside her, something that he could provide her. She gently slid her hands under Percy's sweatshirt and shirt, tracing the muscles there.

"Beth…" Percy breathed. "I have a condom in my wallet if you want to." He removed his hand from her hair and reached into his pocket to take his wallet out, placing it on the bed. He struggled to pull the foil packet out.

Were they about to do this? Were they about to screw in the dorm? Annabeth knew that other girls screwed in the dorm, but she never saw herself as one of them. She could get into enormous trouble if she's caught.

That was enough to bring just an ounce of reasoning to her brain. They couldn't do that in the dorm, no matter how much she may want to. She could however continue to ride his thigh as she built herself up to a release.

Annabeth pressed a kiss on his forehead. "Sorry, baby we can't do that."

He pulled her closer so that her core hit his bulge again, sending sensation throughout her body. He pressed a burning kiss on her neck which caused her toes to curl before he said, "buzzkill."

She was close, so close, which naturally meant that this is when things came to an end.

The door slammed open with an overenthusiastic Victoria, Rebecca and Jessica coming in.

"Annabeth, are you up for Karaoke tonight? We invited Sarah but she's in her room hooking up with this guy from the coffeeshop down the street … Oh-Oh," Rebecca stammered.

Out of all times for her friends to come in, it just had to be right before she was nearing her peak.

Annabeth jumped off Percy, face flushed with mussed up hair and clothes askew.

Percy for his part looked just as flustered. This was the first time they had been walked in on while they were getting just a little scandalous.

At least it was only her friends and not the RA.

Looking at his expression, he didn't seem put together enough to come up with an explanation. Neither was she, so they were both about to be buried in this hole.

He cleared his throat. "I...uh... we thought we were alone," he finally managed.

Annabeth continued fixing her hair and straightening out her clothes. Thankfully she could form some coherent words. "Percy was just leaving. Weren't you?" Trying to defuse the awkwardness of the situation. She was sure her face was as red as a cherry.

He rubbed the back of his neck. "Ah- yeah, just on my way out." He grabbed his wallet off the bed and then turned to grab his coat and scarf.

Rebecca chose now would be a good time to interject. "We can make ourselves scarce Annabeth. You two looked like you could use some alone time."

"No, no, no it's fine. Percy was just leaving. I don't want to hold him back," Annabeth answered back almost immediately. "It's best he leaves before it gets too cold."

"Yeah, it gets stupid cold at night. I need to get home and help my mom vacuum the fishbowls- I mean make dinner." He put his coat on. He pressed a quick kiss on her lips.

"Night Beth."

"Night Percy."

He walked towards the door, nodding at three girls there and then leaving. Annabeth noted Jessica was the only one blushing. Rebecca and Victoria were giving her knowing looks. She did not like where the conversation would be headed.

As soon as the door closed Victoria was the one that spoke up. "You know, we would have left and not asked questions. Put a sock on the door."

That was probably the worst idea Annabeth had ever heard. The last thing she needed was everyone on the floor knowing that she was getting laid while on school property. That would without a doubt have the RAs on her ass. She couldn't afford another infraction after she and Percy were caught making out and dry humping in the supply closet down the hall by the bitchiest of the RAs.

Suffice to say, embarrassing phone calls had been made to her father and they got a nice talk from Sally as well. But yet there they were, doing it all over again but this time in her dorm room.

…They really were not ones to follow the rules.

Now that she thought about it, how did they still let Percy in after the supply closet incident? Did he charm or bribe his way inside?

"Yeah. A couple minutes more and it looked like you were going to get some dick. Good for you girl," Rebecca winked. "We can call him back and give you two some alone time. Isn't that right Jessica?"

In a softer voice Jessica said. "Oh yeah, we can do that."

Annabeth slumped on her bed. Her body still seething with embarrassment. "Oh gods, can you all pretend you didn't see that?"

"Nope," Rebecca and Victoria chorused.

"Forget Karaoke night. We have other pressing matters," Victoria pressed, sitting right next to Annabeth on her bed. The two remaining girls followed suit. Annabeth got a sick feeling in the bottom of her stomach. Rebecca pointed to the floor where to Annabeth's horror and embarrassment the condom Percy pulled from his wallet was laying. "We want all the details Annabeth."

"Oh gods," Annabeth murmured.

Fortunately, Annabeth managed to weasel her way out most of the questions they asked. Unfortunately, she had to answer some of them to get her friends off her back.

"Our first time was when we were abroad in Greece last summer…"

"It was a bit awkward. We had no clue what we were doing but now it's fucking incredible…"

"We don't fuck 24/7…"

"I'm not telling you how big his dick is-…"

"I'm not pregnant!"

Some questions were way too personal, and she did not feel comfortable sharing that information.

Thankfully, the girls went out after their questioning for karaoke night. Annabeth had to excuse herself since her dad would be picking her up in the early morning.

"Good night, Annabeth, sweet dreams," Victoria cooed on her way out. Annabeth didn't like the tone that her roommate said those last two words like she was trying to imply something.

"Let us know if you ever want to, you know," Rebecca winked. "We will make ourselves scarce and keep everyone out."

"That won't be needed," Annabeth reassured.

Rebecca smirked. "Sure it won't. Now good night and have sweet dreams," she cooed as well. "Hope you see him in your dreams."

"Good night, Annabeth, hope you have some wet- I mean nice dreams," Jessica stumbled on her words.

Jessica slammed the door in embarrassment before Annabeth could say anything. Oh gods, that's what they were trying to imply by wishing her sweet dreams. She could already feel her face heat up. She decided to not dwell on it too long as she changed into her pajamas and went through her night routine. As she laid in bed, she took her phone to send a message.

9:46 PM- Annabeth

Hey Percy get home safe?

9:47 PM- Percy

The bus was delayed by a fucking cow! 😡

I think I froze my balls off.

9:47 PM- Annabeth

Oh, you poor baby

That would be a shame

9:48 PM- Percy

Don't patronize (SAT prep word) me Annabeth

I should have just stayed with you in the dorms.

All nice and warm

9:48 PM- Annabeth

You know that can't happen.

We cannot under any

circumstances have sex in the dorm.

I will kill you if I'm kicked out because of you

9:49 PM- Percy

I mean, you looked really into it.

Need I remind you of the supply closet?

9:50 PM- Annabeth

Yes and we were caught by Linda of all people

And you were the one that pushed

me on the bed and

was grinding on me

I say it's all your fault

9:50 PM- Percy

Yeah, yeah, my bad. Got a bit carried away.

But isn't Sarah hooking up with the guy from

the coffee shop down the street in her room?

9:51 PM- Annabeth

Just because she's hooking up doesn't

mean we should too

9:51 PM- Percy

Right... But your friends looked like they

would give us the chance to fuck in the dorm.

9:52 PM- Percy

It would be a new experience.

Like when I pressed you up against the bookshelf and

put my hands in your hair at your parents' house.

You really liked that? Didn't you babe? 😗

9:52 PM- Annabeth

Don't bring that up.

Gods you're impossible.

9:52 PM- Percy

You didn't say that when I had to cover your mouth

with my hand to muffle your screams.

9:52 PM- Annabeth

Percy! Shut the fuck up!

I don't need to remind you of the

sounds you were making too

9:53 PM- Percy

Ok, ok. I've had my fun.

9:53 PM- Percy

On a completely unrelated note,

Josh from my swim team said he was hooking

up with a girl named Sarah tonight.

What do you think the odds are they're one in the same?

9:54 PM- Annabeth

It would actually make sense

Sarah likes really tall guys…

9:54 PM- Percy

Small world

9:54 PM- Annabeth

You never answered my question

9:54 PM- Percy

What was the question again?

9:55 PM-Annabeth

If you got home safe, Seaweed Brain

9:55 PM- Percy

Right. I got home safe and sound.

Thanks for asking!

It was a selfie of Percy on his bed in his sleepwear cuddling with the penguin he bought at the bookstore earlier today and Perry the Panda Pillow Pet. Annabeth's heart fluttered at the… softness of the picture.

9:56 PM- Annabeth

Gods. I swear you love

those toys more than me

9:56 PM- Percy

This could have been you tonight, but

you kicked me out of the dorm. So Piplup and Perry

are filling up the gap.

Step up your game Wise Girl!

9:57 PM- Annabeth

I'm not arguing with you anymore Percy.

And I didn't kick you out.

I politely encouraged you to leave

9:57 PM- Percy

Potato, POH- TAH- TOH

9:58 PM- Annabeth

Gods you're so annoying. I don't

Know how I ever fell in love with you

9:58 PM- Percy

I still ask myself the same question

9:58 PM- Annabeth

One of the world's greatest mysteries

9:59 PM- Percy

Of course

9:59 PM- Annabeth

Love you

9:59 PM- Percy

Love you too

Good night

9:59 PM- Annabeth

Good night

AN: Happy Thanksgiving Weekend to all my North American Readers!

Not Percy getting all clingy and protective because Annabeth is leaving for Boston

So originally I wrote two versions of the steamy scene, one where they're dry humping and the other where Annabeth is riding Percy's thighs. Then I asked myself, why not put both and this was the end result.

As for the penguin, I went to my local Target and they had a lot of them. Best purchase I made all year! I feel Percy would love it. It's squishy, a penguin and it's blue!

If you're in the mood for smut with some fluff check out these stories I wrote on AO3 (Username:CuddlyCuddles):
Lord, Save Me, My Drug is my Baby I'll be Usin' for the Rest of my Life (Percabeth College Smut Fic)

Accidentally wrote smut for chapter 4 of my Percabeth Adult Mortal AU (Don't ask how it happened it just did):
On a Wednesday in a Café, I Watched it Begin Again

Next chapter is kind of a shit show with many characters making appearances. Major props if you can guess who.
Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading!
