AN: I will admit I should have done more research regarding high school sports instead of using Haikyuu/Kuroko/Free! anime that I watched years ago as reference lol. They made it seem like their sports was a year round thing (maybe it was just the practice that's year round while the games are seasonal?...) Anyways, don't take this story too seriously, this is world filled with magical gods and monsters after all. This is just for the funsies! 😘

March 8

PERCY

Percy was unsure how Annabeth managed to convince him to attend one of these 'conventions' but here he was. Maybe it was her beautiful pleading eyes or the way she sweet talked him into it until he wanted to come. Or maybe it was the promise of her withholding uh… intimacy that finally convinced him to come. Percy would argue that it was the former rather than the later.

So here he was dressed somewhat business like. Annabeth had told him that the dress code was business casual, whatever that meant. She took advantage of his ignorance to pull out the suit he had gotten from Christmas and tried to convince him to wear it.

"I thought you said the dress code was business casual, not dress like James Bond," Percy argued when Annabeth placed the suit on his bed. He was wearing white t-shirt and sweatpants before changing into his nicer clothes.

Annabeth stepped close to him and gently traced her fingers up and down his chest. In a low seductive voice, she said. "Did I say business casual? Silly me, I meant to say business formal." She had just gotten out of the shower, so she only had a towel wrapped around her.

Her low voice and state of undress was already influencing him. He could already feel some blood start rushing south. He fought back though. He didn't want to wear the suit to her architecture convention. He wanted to wear it for more special occasions like prom…or maybe his wedding.

He lowered his voice too, to the tone that he knew she liked. "I vaguely remember you saying it was business casual. I don't think suits are business casual. Are you trying to gaslight me?"

"Definitely not. Are you calling me a liar?"

"Well, I ain't calling you a truther."

She snorted at his last sentence, and she almost burst out laughing. So did he, but he kept his stern look on her. Once she was done, she said, "Okay, okay, Percy. I was trying to gaslight you. But can you blame me? I haven't seen you wearing the suit yet."

"I haven't had it tailored yet," he responded. "But you could have just asked and I would have worn it, but not today. I want to save it for prom."

She leaned on her toes to give him a kiss. "Okay, just pick out some slacks, a button down and a tie and you'll be set."

Percy groaned. "Really? A tie? I hate wearing ties, it's like I'm being choked. Can I not wear it please?"

He gave her his best baby seal eyes hoping to change her mind. Unfortunately for him, her stern expression didn't change. Why weren't they working? They usually always worked.

She raised an eyebrow. "You should know, I'm building an immunity to those eyes of yours."

Fuck, that's what he got for using them too often. If they didn't work, then he would have to use other methods which caused an idea to pop into his head to get him out of wearing the tie. It was a crazy and unorthodox idea, but desperate times called for desperate measures.

"Why won't we play a game?" He began, trying to tap into her competitive nature.

"What kind of game?" She sounded intrigued like she was trying to solve a puzzle. He had her now.

"I get you off in under five minutes and I don't have to wear the tie."

"Hah!" She laughed. "Think you can manage it in under five minutes? You think too highly of yourself."

"I only need two." He pushed her gently onto the bed, pushing the towel up and pushing his face between her thighs to set his mind in motion, letting his instincts guide him. "Get ready to eat your words, Wise Girl."

Percy didn't like to break his promises, so true to his word he only needed two minutes to get her off. He used the extra time to get her off a second time. Once he was done, he pushed his chin onto her stomach so he could look at her ravaged form.

"...So, I don't have to wear the tie?"

She was still coming down from her second release. "You… you asshole."

"Really? I went above and beyond and gave you two incredible orgasms, and you call me names? Where's your integrity Annabeth?"

"Just…ugh," she complained. "Fine you win. But don't think I'm going to forget this."

He leaned up close to her to press a kiss on her nose. "Wouldn't dream of it." When he got off the bed, he looked at her laying on his bed, panting and mussed up. "Now get dressed. We don't wanna be late to your nerd convention thing."

So there he was, sitting next to Annabeth in the convention hall of her architecture firm. He had changed into dark slacks, a light blue button down and some nice shoes. As it turned out, all that work getting Annabeth off was for naught because his mother forced the tie onto Percy. He could toy and humor Annabeth, but there was no way he could get out of wearing the tie when his mom put it on him. He fiddled with it every so often so that it felt like it wasn't choking him.

This was just great.

Instead of focusing on the tie, he looked over at Annabeth, who looked really nice in her dark pants, white blouse, dark blazer and had opted for wearing a pair of low black heels. Overall, she looked very business-like, like she belonged here (which she did).

The speaker on the podium was talking about the company's latest project and would show images of the proposed design on the large projector.

Every so often Annabeth would whisper her own comments.

'That's my boss Mr. Evans.'

'They chose a more ancient Greek design for their philosophy.'

'The school wanted a modernist take for their playground.'

'I helped one of the junior architects with that design.'

At one point he thought he was hearing things because Annabeth said. "...I'm going to blow you so hard once we get out of here…"

Yep, he was definitely hearing things.

"Are you even listening, Seaweed Brain?"

He was not. Truth be told he had conked out about half an hour ago when the guy on the podium started talking about design integrity. This was not his field of expertise. Maybe if the speaker started talking about marine wildlife or new baking methods then he would be interested. He was pretty sure his eyes had probably glazed over from how bored he was.

He turned to look at her. Her eyes were expectant.

"What?" He asked. "Is there a quiz after this?"

"No, but don't be a butt and at least pretend to listen."

"Why did you even bring me here in the first place?" He complained. "This place is boring."

"So are your swim meets, but I still to go them."

"Yeah, but at least in my swim meets you can ogle me in my swimsuit." He teased. "I don't see any Annabeths in swimsuits to ogle. That would objectively be more entertaining."

She pinched his thigh. "Don't be such a downer." She looked around then pointed to the empty tables lining up one of the walls. "Look, they're setting up the buffet tables."

"Buffet?" That's all she had to say. He would make sure to pay extra attention… to the food, not the lecture.

Once the presentation concluded many of the guests stood up. Percy made a beeline to the buffet table, but Annabeth pulled him back. She said they would get food after she introduced him to some of her coworkers.

How could Annabeth do this to him? They were serving mini burgers; mini burgers and his stomach was rumbling already.

"It's only a couple people I want you to meet," she reassured. She held his hand as she guided him around the venue. "Then we can get some food."

"So what do you need me to do?" He sighed while looking back at the buffet tables at the people getting their burgers.

"I just need you to stop being salty-"

"Being salty is my whole brand," he interjected.

"And just look like you want to be here."

"...You need me to be your himbo boyfriend?"

She chortled. "If that's what you want to call it then yes, you can be my himbo boyfriend."

"Great."

The first person that Annabeth introduced was one of her coworkers, Layla. Annabeth told him that they often worked together in assisting the junior architects and document organization.

"Layla!" Annabeth called. "It's great to see that you've made it."

Layla sighed. "I'm only here for the food-"

"Yeah, me too," Percy cut in.

Layla turned her gaze to Percy. She looked up and down. "Oh, you must be Percy, the boyfriend Annabeth is always talking about."

Percy tried to keep his smirk under control. "Oh, is she now? I hope she didn't make me sound too awesome."

She chuckled. "She's always going on and on about you and how annoying you are."

"Yes, I can be very annoying when I want to be. But I'm especially annoying to her." He poked her side with his elbow. "She loves it though."

Layla chucked again and then looked at Percy's left arm. "Mind if I see the watch?"

"Sure." Percy held out his wrist for her to see. The watch was a very special Christmas gift from Annabeth. She gave it to him months ago and she had designed it and then had Tyson build it. It quickly became one of his most prized possessions.

"This is…wow this is beautiful. Where did you get it?"

Percy smiled brightly and pointed to Annabeth. "Annabeth gave it to me. She designed it and then had it built."

Layla turned her attention to Annabeth. "Wow Annabeth I knew you were good but didn't know you were that good. You're going to put the rest of us to shame."

If only Layla knew how good Annabeth actually was, Percy thought.

"Don't sell yourself short Layla. Your designs are beautiful as well," Annabeth said.

The other girl just shrugged. "Whatever you say. I should get going. They're serving mini burgers. I don't want to miss out. It was great meeting you Percy."

"Thanks, you too," he replied. He turned his attention back to Annabeth whose face was slightly pink. "...So can we get the mini burgers now?"

"Not yet, we still have a couple more people to meet."

And that's how they spent the next hour going around the venue. Annabeth introduced him to her boss, and to some of the junior and senior architects. They also met several architects and engineers from around the city that worked at other firms. One dude in particular, though, gave Percy an ugly feeling in the stomach.

He had just come out of the restroom when he spotted Annabeth talking to some guy. Percy could admit that he was sometimes slow in picking up feelings. Hell for example, Annabeth told him that she had a crush on him since they were 12 and she flirted with him all throughout those years. And Percy well… he never picked up on it. He just thought that Annabeth was being nice to him. Then there was the whole Mt St. Helens kiss and well…

So yeah, Percy could be slow sometimes when picking up feelings. In this case however the guy kept checking Annabeth out and flirting with her.

Percy didn't like it. He didn't like it one bit. The guy was asking Annabeth to go out to dinner with him and he kept complimenting Annabeth on her outfit. He also told her that he would like to get to know her better.

Now Percy usually wasn't the jealous type, but this guy was really starting to press his buttons. He kept going after Annabeth even after she politely told him no.

He had been watching the interaction from the sidelines and decided that enough was enough. If the guy didn't take the hint from her then he would make sure that it got across.

He walked up to Annabeth, wrapped an arm around her shoulders and kissed her forehead. "Hey babe. Did I tell you how beautiful you look today?"

"Oh, hey you're back," she greeted excitedly. She brought her attention back to the guy. "Hunter, this is Percy, my boyfriend. Percy, this is Hunter. He's another intern."

Percy saw how Hunter's expression went from a smile to a scowl.

Good, he thought.

Percy held out his hand in a polite greeting. "Hey man, great to meet you."

Hunter reluctantly shook Percy's hand. "You too," he breathed. He turned his attention back to Annabeth. "So you weren't making him up, Annabeth?"

"Why would I lie to you?" She asked.

He shrugged. "Maybe to get out of dating me. If you didn't want to go out with me you could have just said so."

"I did!" She said, a bit more harshly.

"You never said no, so you kept leading me on. Oh well, too bad your loss. I'll go find some other girl."

Percy felt like punching the guy, which would have only made things worse, but he left before Annabeth, or he could say anything.

"What's his problem?"

Annabeth took a breath. "Honestly, I don't know. Nepotism maybe? He's the son of one of the board members of the firm and thinks he can get his way. He's not even that good of an architect and just an overall jerk."

"Asshole." He gave her forehead another kiss. "You sure you're okay?"

She leaned in to press a kiss to his lips. "I can take care of myself. Hopefully I don't end up having to break his nose."

"Break his nose and then gaslight him with a bit of mist manipulation."

She pressed another kiss. "Ok, that's pretty much everyone I wanted to see around. Why don't we get you some of those mini burgers."

"Hell yeah."

ANNABETH

Annabeth knew Percy was upset. When they finally made their way to the table the servers told them that they had just run out of burgers. He had to settle for a salad with bread and cheese. He was not a happy camper. His expression was downcast, and he wouldn't make eye contact or speak to her.

She didn't feel bad, not really, he would live. Although it was funny and endearing seeing him sulking over burgers. She looked around the venue seeing if there was anyone else she would like to talk to before heading out. She had made some great connections with other architects around the city, and some were even excited to take a look at her work.

She brought her attention back to Percy. He looked really nice in his dark slacks and light blue striped button down. She had tried to get him to wear a tie but he was adamant about it. He even gave her his best baby seal eyes.

She refused to let his baby seal eyes work on her, so he went for an unorthodox tactic. He ate her out to two orgasms which caused her to reconsider his pleas and change her mind. The worst part, he had the smuggest look on his face afterwards. That little shit.

Suffice to say, she lost that battle, which Annabeth Chase would admit hurt her pride a little. What didn't hurt her pride though was Sally Jackson forcing the tie on him and the dumbfounded expression Percy made when Sally put it on him. Looking at him now, Sally had done a great service to the daughter of Athena. The tie made him look sinfully handsome.

She did one last scan of the venue before deciding now would be a good time to leave. Then, she looked over at the buffet table where Percy was still sulking. She sighed and stepped up to him.

She grabbed onto his arm. "Come on, it's getting late, we should head home."

He didn't make eye contact with her. He just grunted a sound of agreement.

She scoffed. "Come on, you can't be that mad about the burgers."

He didn't respond.

"Fine, be that way then. See if I care."

Now he finally responded. "Good," in the most monotone voice ever.

"Good," she said irritably.

She guided him to the exit where they were handed her coats back. After putting them on, they exited the venue to be greeted by the cold March air. He walked to her side, not paying her any attention. He would normally hold her hand or wrap an arm around her waist or shoulders, but he just… walked and brooded with his hands in his pockets. She forgot just how irritating and broody Percy got when he was hungry.

She was about to play his own game but was stopped when his stomach loudly grumbled. She raised an eyebrow.

This time he actually made eye contact with her. "Shu…Shut up. I had to eat freaking leaves and some bread. That's not a filling meal!" He protested. "You would think they would have more filling options."

She held his hand and pulled her phone out with the other. She looked up if there were any restaurants nearby that were still open. Luckily, there was a burger place not too far from where they were.

"I'll get you a burger if it will make you stop being mad at me."

He stared at her for a second. "Make it two and throw in some fries and a drink."

"...Fine, but you're going to bleed out my college fund with your ravenous appetite."

After their burgers he was much more amicable. He had her pulled onto his side, pressing kisses to the top of her head every so often as they walked down the Manhattan streets.

"You killed it out there," he murmured lovingly to the side of her head. "Really showed them how it's done."

"Thanks for coming today," she said.

"It's no big deal. I like your coworkers, except for that Hunter guy."

"I'll deal with him," she sighed. They had just gotten back to his bedroom and she looked him up in done. Before he could even protest, she grabbed onto his tie and pulled him down for a kiss. He had a dazed expression when they broke apart. He leaned back down for another kiss but she had other ideas. She was going to the return the favor from earlier, so she got on her knees and started unbuckling his belt.

"Oh... okay," he said. "Is this the promise from earlier when that guy was giving that speech?"

She pulled him out of his pants and underwear and looked up at his expression. "So you were listening then? I guess I'll have to reward you for being such a great date." Ever since that Valentine's Day date in her dorm she had been doing this more often. She closed the distance and soon enough she had him in the palm of her hand... well more like her mouth.

AN: This chapter and the next one are quite short. Hope you enjoyed and thanks for the support!
