The boy was revealed to be Harry Potter.
Ten Years Later
Private Drive, Surrey, 23rd June 1991, Durleys House 08:00 a.m.
Dudley Dursley was not a happy boy. The reason he had to woke up at 5 a.m. and had to do the chores even if today was his BIRTHDAY. He was supposed to get off today from work like every year. But he had been a fool and forgot to put salt in yesterday's dinner and as a punishment, he's working today.
Sighing, he looked at the clock and panicked it was 8 a.m. His master will wake up and if he didn't find his coffee on his bed, then he will again play Dudley Hunting. Pouring the coffee in the mug, Dudley carefully ran towards the largest room in Private Drive. It had a nameplate H J P , gulping audibly Dudley knocked. After a faint 'come in', Dudley entered the room lowering his eyes.
"Master, your coffee." Dudley dutifully bowed and kept it in the side table.
A black haired boy with emerald green eyes looked at Dudley and nodded
"Happy Birthday, Dudley. It is good to know that you have carried out your punishment and so I allow you to have the rest of the day free." Harry said and Dudley smiled a little.
"You're so generous, master." Dudley silently closed the door and went from there.
Harry looked at his cousin as he went out of the room and sighed,
10:30 a.m.
"How many are there?"
"36, counted them myself."
36! But last year I had 37!
"Yes, yes, but some of them are quite a bit bigger than last year."
"I don't care how big they are!"
Dudley was arguing with his father about getting less birthday gifts but stopped as they heard the footsteps coming from upstairs
"Why on the earth, are you shouting so loudly?" The Dursley's froze in fear
"I apologies, my lord, if you have been disturbed. Dudley was over excited about his gifts and he forgot that he shouldn't shout that much –" "It is completely alright Petunia. Now is my breakfast ready?"
"Yes, my lord. We were just waiting for you."
"Do you need anything, my lord?" asked Petunia when she saw Harry finishing his breakfast.
"Not now, my faithful servant." Harry replied
"Certainly, my lord" Petunia bowed and stood quietly
After Harry ate, he allowed them to eat and went to his room.
Around 12:30
Harry's Bedroom
"Come in"
"Master, Dudley wants to go to the new zoo that has opened, of course only if you permit."
Harry nodded. Yes, that would be refreshing, he was quiet bored in this confined space. He may be ruling over this pathetic family of his, but he felt he was missing something, especially the accidents that happens.
Number 12,Grimmauld Palace, Muggle London 1:00 p.m.
"Father, what you expect me to do?" Homam asked
"I want you to behave like how a proper pureblood should be son and fighting with your sister is not the behavior of The heir to the most ancient and noble house of black" Regulus glared at his son
"Sorry, father" Homam bowed his head low
"Isabella, If you continue to be childish I won't mind punishing you. Eight years or not you're a pureblood behave like one" Regulus glared at his daughter
Isabella rolled her eyes, "Ofcourse, father. I will keep that in mind. I apologise father, brother. I shall leave now as it's time for my piano lessons with cousin Cissa."
Saying this she went of a drop of tear sliding from her eyes. Only if her father was here to protect her.
Regent's Park, Muggle London, 23/06/1991,1:00 p.m.
Harry after getting ready, along with the Dursley's went to the zoo and, reluctantly, took Piers Polkiss, as well. Maybe, because Dudley had literally begged and, promised that the rat will behave. While at the zoo, they bought ice cream treats, saw a gorilla that reminded Harry of Dudley and Vernon, and they then ate at the zoo restaurant, and visited the reptile house.
At first, Harry found the place boring because none of the reptiles were moving around much, moreover there was nothing which could entertain him. Harry sighed, wished he could again open the Lion's cage like previous time, though there was nothing much to entertain him there also. His eyes landed on his cousin, he remembered when Dudley pushed him once near a snake and he, Harry found out that he can speak with snakes. A cold smile came to Harry's face.
It was time for revenge.
When Dudley and Piers saw the snake moving around, they rushed to the get to the cage, and Dudley pushed a boy out of the way. He walked towards his cousin and his friend.
"Dudley"
"Harry"
"I …. Err…. go and fetch an ice cream for me." Dudley looked like, he wanted to protest but thought otherwise and took his 'friend' with him.
Harry carefully looked around, making sure no one was noticing him
"Sorry, for the way, my cousin is a dimwit."
"I get that all the time."
"I know," Harry murmured
"It must be really annoying."
The snake nodded vigorously.
"Where do you come from, anyway?" Harry asked.
"Indonesia"
"Was it nice there?"
"No"
"Will you help me?"
"What will I get in return?" Harry was surprised that the snake wanted something in return. He never heard any snake wanting anything in return to do his bidding.
"Harry James Potter, pleased to meet you."
"Nagini, pleased to meet you too, Harry James Potter."
A deal was made.
Harry watched as Dudley came back with his icecream. What came next happened so fast no one saw how it happened – one second, Piers and Dudley were leaning right up close to the glass, the next, they had leapt back with howls of horror. The glass front of the boa constrictor's tank had vanished. The great snake was uncoiling itself rapidly, slithering out onto the floor. People throughout the reptile house screamed and started running for the exits.
As the snake slid swiftly past him, Harry could have sworn a low, hissing voice said, "Thank you, Harry Potter, we shall meet soon."
The keeper of the reptile house was in shock.
"But the glass," he kept saying, "where did the glass go?"
The zoo director himself made Aunt Petunia a cup of strong, sweet tea while he apologized over and over again. Piers and Dudley could only gibber.
Uncle Vernon waited until Piers was safely out of the house, he drove the car to the garage and went inside the house. Dudley was still shivering in fear while Petunia was trying to calm her precious Duddykins, Harry just sneered at his pathetic family and went to his rooms.
He'd lived with the Dursleys almost ten years, ten miserable years, as long as he could remember, ever since he'd been a baby and his parents had died in that car crash. He couldn't remember being in the car when his parents had died. Sometimes, when he strained his memory during long hours in meditation, he came up with a strange vision: a blinding flash of green light and a burning pain on his forehead. This, he supposed, was the crash, though he couldn't imagine where all the green light came from. He couldn't remember his parents at all. His aunt and uncle never spoke about them, and of course he was forbidden to ask questions in his early years, and now they were too afraid to answer him, fearing he'll torture them, well they could be right.
When he had been younger, Harry had dreamed and dreamed of some unknown relation coming to take him away, but it had never happened; the Dursleys were his only family. But, as the years passed that dream faded away. He knows he have to spend his pathetic life with these people.
Though, surprisingly, this year he was dropped out by Petunia, something about going to a school his parents attended.
Private Drive, Surrey, 30th June 1991, Durleys House 10:00 a.m.
Harry was reading a book quietly when he saw something unusual.
An old man with, what the hell in the name of Christ, was he wearing? And from where he appeared? He looked as those movies in which the magicians? No. What was that name? Yes. Those wizards were. Looks like he forgot to ….. change?
Harry's eyes narrowed when he saw that strange old man knocked at HIS house.
Downstairs
Petunia looked at the clock and got confused. Vernon has just left to Grunnings and Dudley was off to school. She didn't have any visitors, neither Harry. Could it be Marge? Or that cat lady? What was her name, again? Mrs. Figg? Yes, she must have come again to ask if she could watch Harry. What was that woman's problem?
Opening the door, she was shocked to see the old man smiling at her and what was he wearing? A bright yellow dress? No, just a second. Robes. Is he one of them?
"Yes?" Petunia looked at the man stiffly
"Mrs Dursley, it's too nice to meet you."
"I wish I could say the same." Petunia murmured
"May I, meet young Harry Potter?" The old man smiled
"And who are you?" Petunia asked harshly
"Oh, where are my manners, I'm Albus Dumbledore, you may remember Hogwarts, don't you? I'm the headmaster and I came to meet young Harry." Albus replied with his twinkling eyes
'Another freak' thought Petunia
"Oh, I'm sure Harrison would like to meet you" Petunia gave a fake smile
'Who was Harrison? Didn't he came here for Harry?'
"Please follow me, Headmaster" Petunia showed him the way to upstairs
"So, how has been Harry as a child?" Albus felt he asked a wrong question after watching Petunia's horrified face
"As far as I remember, Harry loved to spend his time alone. He ….. doesn't mix with people, generally. We tried to have him making friends but then, the accidental magics happened and ……" Petunia trailed off and Albus Dumbledore nodded grimly. Albus didn't felt a good feeling where all this was going on, but he kept quiet.
"Accidental magic?"
"Yes, like he turned his teacher's hair blue and once he suddenly appeared on the roof on the school, when he was in the ground floor only, few seconds ago." Petunia explained quietly
Albus nodded. That was …. common. Albus was relieved that there was nothing wrong with the boy, as he thought after watching Petunia's face.
Albus stopped infront of the door. It had a nameplate H J P in golden letter. He looked as Petunia knocked on the door three times and in a low voice "Harrison, you have a visitor"
A 'come in' was heard and Petunia let Albus walk inside the room. Albus Dumbledore surveyed the room in shock. He had seen exactly these arrangements fifty years ago also.
"Hello Mr.?"
"Dumbledore, It's Albus Dumbledore" Albus smiled kindly. He took a good look at the boy.
Harry was fairly tall then most of the children at his age. He carried himself the way like the purebloods do. His hair was jet-black and he didn't wore glasses. His eyes were cold, calculating like judging the man infront of him. He had thought Harry would be a short lad, skinny with glasses. But this Harry was well-built. Just the exact opposite of how, he, Albus Dumbledore expected the boy-who-lived to be.
"I …. will just leave you to it." Petunia remarked making Albus to come out of his thoughts "Call me if you need anything Harrison, Headmaster, okay?" Petunia went out as she saw Harry nodding at her.
