Club 23 - Chapter IX - The Chit Chats
It's lunchtime on a brand new week, the week of the group's bowling adventure, as Flynn would put it, this Saturday. That's Saturday though, for today we are at the lunch break. We start with Quasimodo as he's grabbing lunch and going to the tables with his friends as usual and sits in his usual spot. That's when notices something's off, Aladdin, Phoebus, himself, and Flynn are the only ones at the table.
Umm…hey, so where are Esme, Poca, and Meg?", he asks while he gets the guy's attention
"Yea, I noticed something was off", said Aladdin who was now starting to raise eyebrows
"Maybe they're just taking a walk", said Phoebus
"Or maybe they're doing something sinister", says Flynn, "but probably not important so I'll just relax"
"Yea, you guys might be right", Quasimodo responds to all, "it's probably not that all-important"
Meanwhile, Esmeralda, Pocahontas, and Megara were just walking the hallways until they noticed Jasmine and Rapunzel at one of the tables.
"Hey you three", Rapunzel shouts out, "You mind sitting here for lunch today with me and Jazz?"
Esmeralda looked at her two friends that nodded in approval
"Sure, why not", she says, "I'm sure the boys don't mind." The three of them scoot to join Jasmine and Rapunzel. Now back to the boys, who honestly don't have a clue about what's going on
"What if they can't find the tables?", Phoebus blurts out
"That's preposterous, Phoebs", Flynn blurts out, "I mean all of a sudden they forget where we sit at lunch"
"I'm surprised you know how to use that word", says Aladdin
"Me too, kinda", says Flynn astonished at his own intelligence
"Flynn's probably right though", says Quasi, "Maybe they just don't want to deal with us today"
"Yea, that's probably right", says Aladdin, "too many sex jokes"
"Definitely," says Phoebus
"100%", says Flynn
"Absolutely", says Quasimodo
Back to the girls, they're sharing stories, really enjoying themselves, and just having a good time before class begins, then they have to go through work…so much work.
"So, is anybody doing anything for the weekend?", Jasmine asks
"Um yeah", says Pocahontas, "Me, Esme, and Meg are going bowling with the boys on Saturday"
"Oh Bowling, that's fun", says Rapunzel, "Speaking of the boys, how are they?"
"You know, there…going", says Megara
"Let me guess Flynn is still…"
"Flynn, yep, but he is changing, especially around you as of late"
The rest of the table gives Rapunzel this sly look when Megara made that comment. Rapunzel then blushes
"I don't know what she's talking about, I'm probably not his type anyway, I mean he is cute, don't get me wrong, but I'm going to date him" Megara then gives the 'Well we'll see about that' face
"While we're on the subject of boys", chimed Esmeralda, "Jazzy, What's up with you Ali?
"Well, everything, has been going fine, I video-chatted him on Saturday and he looked so tired" she responded
"Well, that's because he, Flynn, and myself were like bored out of our minds at Flynn's house on Saturday," chimed Megara, who got a snicker from everyone at the table. Jasmine then goes on to ask Esmeralda a question
"So Esmeralda, who's the person that has your interest or who is interested in you?"
She smiles, "C'mon Jazz, you're gonna put me on the spot like that?"
"I mean, your Esmeralda, I bet every guy around Disney has wanted you for a while"
"Flattering, but I'm not looking for anybody at the moment"
"Cough…Naveen…cough cough" All the girls giggle at Jasmine's 'cough'
"Alright fine, you got me"
"Knew it"
"Only because he keeps flirting with me, so I just flirt back for funsies, I mean that smile really does tricks on me"
"Have you ever thought of making it official?"
"That's the thing, I'm not sure, I mean yes there been some instances we've been affectionate…publicly and privately, I'm just not sure
"Well, I guess that's okay, I'm pretty sure you will figure it out"
"Thanks" Esmeralda then smiles at Jasmine
"Poca, Meg, do you two wanna share?", says Rapunzel
"Don't have anybody, Poca" says Megara as she looks at Pocahontas. Pocahontas then nods at Esmeralda, assuring her it's no big deal
"I ran into John last Saturday"
"Really?", said Megara, shocked, "When were you going to tell me this?"
"I was meant to, forgot…sorry"
"It's fine" Meg assures her, "continue"
"I was there at the Tree of Life festival with Quasi when I saw him"
"What did he say?", asks Rapunzel to Pocahontas
"Basically he doesn't want our interactions to be awkward and wants to be friends again"
"You think that's going to work?"
"Hopefully…my head's still not sure"
"Well, I wish you the best of luck on that decision"
"Thanks… adding on, I saw Belle and Ariel there"
"Really?", said Jasmine, "If I see them again tell them both I said hi", Rapunzel shook her head in agreement. The boys are still…kinda bored, all changes however when they see Tiana and her friend Charlotte posting stuff on the walls
"Hey Tiana", Phoebus shouts out that makes her steer her attention toward him, "What are you posting on the walls"
"Oh hey Phoebus", says Tiana nicely when she greets him, "As manager of the events committee at Disney, I'm putting up posters with…"
"Assistant manager!", Charlotte interrupts
"Assistant to the manager" Tiana corrects her, for this year's Spring Formal
Those two words have Phoebus have a mini panic attack. "Did you say…' Spring Formal'?"
"Yep sure did…good luck finding a special someone as a date" Tiana leaves and her and Charlotte continue to put up posters. Phoebus then returns to the boys
"Hey Phoebs what was that about?", asks Quasimodo
"Two words gentleman…Spring…Formal"
"All the boys' faces went like 'oh shit'"
Lunch is now over and everybody goes back to boring classes just waiting for the day to end, just so they could go home. Hours and hours later, classes are finally up and everybody goes home. People are walking home just trying to make it as fast as possible, so they can get work done and get to bed quicker. Phoebus is walking with abnormal speed like someone just injected him with some sort of potion that only makes him walk fast…it's weird, like super weird. While he's walking he's just having these thoughts that are running through his mind and they are conflicting with each other.
Spring formal…Spring Formal!, man what the hell am I going to do
You know that's the one dance out of homecoming and prom that goes seriously, seriously wrong for you
What am I going to do, I mean I need a date right?... Esmeralda!, wait maybe she wants to go with Naveen, then I'm doomed
Esmeralda, she's so sweet, that curly hair, those green eyes, those juicy thighs…creamy calves…that butt that's so curvaceous
"Woah…woah woah…woah, mind let's not go that route", Phoebus said finally snapping out of those thoughts he just had, "Man, I am I that perverted, jeez"
As he continues to walk home, he starts to talk to himself
"As soon as I get home, I'm going to talk to her like I did the last time, but it's going to be video chat, yeah, video chat I like that…it's like talking to her in person, except I it's not through person it's through our phones. Nah nah nah nah…but I need to talk to her, I haven't seen her barley at all today. Get it together Phoebus, what the hell is up with you man, she's your friend…that's what makes this probably difficult, looks like I need to talk with a few others, before talking with her"
A few minutes passed and Phoebus is right at his house, about to make himself comfy in his room with his phone on his beanbag, the first person he video chats is Quasimodo.
Woah, looks like Phoebus needs to calm his thoughts a little, hopefully, Quasimodo can help.
