Club 23 - Chapter XXVIII
"Well boys…tonight's the night," said Flynn after he got into a group call with Aladdin, Phoebus, and Quasimodo
"It sure is", said Quasimodo, "How is everyone? Good? Bad?, How are the suits?", he asks kinda frantically
"Quasi, Relax", said Aladdin, "I'm pretty sure that we are going to be fine" he continued
"Yeah, I'm sure the girls are completely losing it right now", said Phoebus, "Right?..."
Meanwhile, the girls…
"Wow, Poca, that dress is so so amazing!", Esmeralda exclaimed, "your ass looks amazing", she continued
"Umm…thanks", Said Pocahontas as she didn't have any clue what to do with that information, "You look cute as well", she continued
"Thanks!, I sure hope so, considering I'm gonna be performing in it", responded Esmeralda
"And you're gonna kill it", chimed Megara
"Cute dress Meg," said Esmeralda
"Thanks, I'm about to take Poca to the Formal, are sure you don't need a ride?", Megara asked
"I'm sure", Esmeralda smiled, "Can't wait to see what Phoebus wears, so got a ride coming to pick me up in a few"
"Ok, see ya there", said Megara
"See ya there, Esme", said Pocahontas
"See ya there", Esmeralda said to both of their friends as they went on their way
Meanwhile, the boys…
"Alright on the count of three, we are going to put ourselves in frame to do one last check", says Flynn
"Ok", says Aladdin
"Alright", says Quasimodo
"Cool", says Phoebus
"1…2…3", says Flynn and the boys move the camera to get a full view of their outfits
"Alright! Yes!", said Flynn, "We look totally badass" he continued and everyone shook their heads yes
"And we're gonna be more badass as we rock the stage tonight", said Aladdin
"Totally," said Flynn
"Alright can't keep the convo too long, gonna pick up Jasmine, wish me luck", said Aladdin as everybody was going to say bye
"Alright good luck man", said Quasimodo
"Yeah good luck", said Phoebus
"Godspeed, my friend", said Flynn and Aladdin logged off
Aladdin got to his car, hoping not to get his suit damaged or messed up, and drove to Jasmine's house address. He was driving and driving and once he got to the neighborhood, he noticed that the houses were very, very expensive and lavish and it kinda overwhelmed him a little bit knowing that he couldn't have what she had. Still, he was determined to leave a good impression
He finds the house, goes up the steps, and knocks. Jasmine hears this
"Daddy, I think that's him", says Jasmine
"Great, can't wait to see the young lad", he says as she opens the door
"Hi Aladdin," she says as he takes in the sight of her house
"Wow", he says completely ignoring her as he sees the interior is something straight out of a royal palace he has seen in the movies
"Umm… Aladdin, down here", says Jasmine slightly annoyed, he looks down and is still speechless as she is wearing a beautiful and elegant light blue gown with sleeves and heels to match. After a while, he snaps out of it
"Woah, I'm so so sorry Jasmine, I mean I haven't seen anything like this before, it's beautiful, you're beautiful," he says
She smiles, "That's fine and thanks for the comment, I realize it's a lot to take in and it's understandable, by the way, you look handsome yourself", she pecks him on the cheek and he smiles a bit too, "Let me take you to my father", she says and that smiles gone and now it's just nervousness, pure nervousness as they approach the living room. Once they're there, Jasmine goes in front of Aladdin and speaks to her father
"Daddy, I would like you to meet my Spring Formal date for tonight," she said as she moved away and the two of them stared at each other
"Dad…Aladdin, Aladdin…Dad, now talk"
Aladdin and Jasmine's father now sit on the couch in the living room, they still don't talk until Aladdin breaks the silence
"Wow, it's an honor to finally meet you, sir, what a very spacious couch you have" he started off as her dad just gave some version of the death stare, I mean if looks could kill, Aladdin would have been non-existent, he speaks
"So, what exactly are your intentions with my daughter?"
Aladdin took a deep breath and gave his answer to the best of his abilities
"To be honest with you sir, I want her to have a special night, a really wonderful special night, I want her to have as much fun as she wants tonight, legally and safely of course. I promise tonight, I won't let anything bad happen to her tonight, anything" He says when they go into another intense stare, Jasmine's father then breaks the silence
"Do I have your word?" he asks
"You have my word", Aladdin responds as Jasmine's dad puts his hand out for a handshake and after a few seconds, Aladdin gives him one
"Feel free to explore the rest of the house, young man"
"Really?", sounding surprised
"Really"
"Alright, thank you" and Aladdin explores most of the house before going outside, he can't believe the view from the balcony
"Wow, this view is so majestic, it's literally the best view of Disney Castle I've seen without going up close to it"
"As Aladdin is taking in the sights, he notices something orange that has black stripes behind him on one of the reflections in the window, the thing even makes a noise, as Aladdin turns around, he gets the shock of his life
"AH!, No Way, No Way, NO WAY, is that what I think it is!?", he shouts
The thing growls
"Tiger, definitely a Tiger, welp…this is how my night ends," said Aladdin accepting his fate
As the tiger stays there hostile with Aladdin not moving, Jasmine comes and hears the commotion
"Rajah, no, that's enough", Jasmine commanded and Rajah went somewhere else, "I'm so so sorry about that, that's my tiger, Rajah, he's not too kind to strangers", she continued
"It's fine, it's crazy that you have that as a pet, I thought my pet monkey was weird", Aladdin said
"Wait…hold up, you have a pet monkey?" she lit up
"Yea, his name's Abu, I should totally take you over to my place sometime to hang out and see him"
"I would love that", she said and they paused looking into each other's eyes
"So, are we just going to look at each other, or get going?", he asked
"I prefer both, so how about we just do this at the Formal", she replied,
"Okay, to the formal we go," said Aladdin as they both went downstairs to take some photos of Jasmine's father and they said bye to him. Aladdin helped Jasmine down the steps and into his car and they were on their way
Meanwhile Flynn, Phoebus, and Quasimodo
"So Phoebs, are you sure you don't want to join me, Rapunzel, Quasi, and Madellaine in our sweet escort to the Formal"
"I'm good, you four enjoy your ride, I got a ride that going to pick me up in a few"
"Okay got it, see ya Phoebus", said Flynn
Goodbye Phoebus", said Quasimodo
"See ya two there," said Phoebus as they both logged off
A few minutes passed and the venue started to get packed, Flynn and Rapunzel arrived alongside Quasimodo and Madelliane, Flynn took his video camera to document the whole thing
"Alright you guys, they've rolled out the red carpet for us, as who can see, me and my date (he brings Rapunzel to the camera to show off their outfits), perfection as usual, same with my guy Quasimodo and his lady, (the camera pans over to Quasimodo and Madelliane showing off their matching outfits)"
Flynn moves into the venue and looks at what they've done to the place
"Wow, check this out, this whole setup literally looks like I'm at an award show, it's great! (he pans the camera to himself)
He moves in to talk to some people
"We got Eric here"
"Are you recording?", asks Eric
"Yeah", says Flynn
"Hey Flynn's camera," says Eric
"Hi Everybody!" (Ariel pops out of nowhere),
"And so is Ariel", says Flynn
"Can't wait for your performance tonight", she said
"Oh that's right, you guys are going to destroy that stage", said Eric
"Thanks for both of your supports", said Flynn, "Hope everything goes well"
A few minutes later, Pocahontas and Megara arrive and Flynn greets them still videotaping
"We got Poca and Meg, here (Pocahontas smiles and gives a peace sign, while Megara waves), looking stylish as always, how is everything
"Everything is good, everybody looks great, this setup great, we're in for a good night, hopefully," said Pocahontas
"Very much agree, good luck on the little halftime show you five are having", said Megara
"Thanks", said Flynn, (to the camera), "People are getting excited for me, Ali, Phoebs, Quasi, and Esme performing
Then comes Jasmine and Aladdin
"(Flynn still at his camera) You guys Jasmine and Aladdin have arrived, they look really really great"
Aladdin approaches Flynn and Jasmine approaches Rapunzel who are next to each other
"You excited?", said Aladdin to Flynn
"Very", said Flynn
"You look so so amazing Punzie!", said Jasmine
"Thanks!, so do you", Rapunzel responded, "So excited to enjoy the night!", she exclaimed
Everybody was getting along and checking everything out, Meanwhile, Phoebus and Esmeralda were getting picked up separately. But having the connecting thought of nervousness and unexpectedness, surely everything is going to be okay…right?
At the venue...Flynn gets a text and tells his friends and their dates, he turns the camera off
"Phoebus is on his way," he says
Megara gets a text
"Esmeralda is on her way", she says and everybody is waiting for their arrival
A few minutes pass and pass until the group and their dates see two black sports cars appear at the same time, everybody gets excited as they know who is going to come out. The doors get opened and they get out at the same time, and they stand there as he looks at her, she looks at him, the group looking on as she and he both drop their jaws at the same time and mouth to each other
"Oh..my…gosh"
Well, the moment has arrived and things are already starting to happen, Aladdin encounters a tiger and then reveals he has a pet monkey, and then we get to the moment Esmeralda and Phoebus face each other and see each other's outfits. Folks, that's just the beginning there is still lots to explore with the Spring Formal so stay tuned this Thursday the 21st for the next chapter.
