When Natsu saw Lucy lean in, his breath hitched in his throat and he froze up, seeing how close she got to his face. He reacted off instinct and leaned in, too, closing his eyes to come smack with something hard. He reeled back and held onto his chin as he looked to see Lucy holding her forehead, the both of them hissing out in pain to look at each other with teary eyes. This just made Natsu burst out into a fit of laughter as Lucy laughed with him, the two shaking and grinning widely.
"What are you two idiots laughing about?" Gajeel came over to claim the empty seat beside them, snatching a marshmallow to shove it into his mouth.
"Shut it metal-face." Natsu said in between laughs. "You're just mad you're alone!"
"Gajeel likes Levy, Gajeel likes Levy!" Lucy teased, giggling as the said pierced male turned crimson.
"I—I do not!"
"Stop lying,"
"I—I—I am not!" He sputtered. "You better keep your mouth shut, blondie!" He growled at the snickering female.
Lucy only stuck her tongue out at him as he scowled, lifting his arm up as Lucy squealed. She leaned into Natsu who felt his heart skip a beat as he saw her golden head come close, her hand on his knee as she giggled. It just made him feel warmer as he smiled, enjoying her presence.
"Touka just left," Jellal came over to inform Natsu who just nodded back.
"Aw, Touka left?" Lucy frowned as the three looked over at her. "I was hoping we could get along."
The three just stared at her weirdly as she hummed to herself, drunk and oblivious as they exchanged looks with each other.
"Lucy, you're one weird chick."
"I second that."
"I agree."
"Hey!" The blonde pouted, looking at the three who stood around her. "She was cute! And she only really wanted her Prince Charming." Lucy purred at Natsu who scowled, turning his head away in embarrassment.
"I told ya, don't compare me to some pansy-ass guy like Prince Charming."
"Yeah, there's nothing charming about him." Gajeel scoffed, making Natsu whirl his head to shoot him a look.
"Look who's talking!"
"Better than you! What kinda Prince has pink hair?!"
"You're literally a metal face!"
.
.
.
Lucy was borderline blacked out by the time she stumbled into her room, legs wobbly as she flopped onto her mattress. She just snuggled into her comforter, moaning in delight as she felt like a cat, snuggling into the soft cushion.
"You alright?"
Lucy just mumbled nonsense into the mattress that made Natsu laugh, coming over to her night stand to place the water bottle and box of donuts she insisted she needed. He stood over her and sighed, a smile on his lips as he looked at her face-planted self.
"You want some water?"
"No," she said as she flipped over, a loud sigh on her lips. "I want a donut."
He chuckled and he opened the box he bought earlier, seeing how there was a bite taken out of each one. His jaw dropped as he felt his eye twitch at the obscenity. "What the—? Who took a bite out of each one?!"
"Oh, that was me," Lucy giggled, giving him a crooked grin. "Just making sure none of them are poisoned."
Natsu just shook his head, laughter coming out of his lips as he took a swig of his beer. "You're such a weirdo."
"They're all good."
"I bet," he said as he picked up one to hold it out to her. "here."
Lucy just opened her mouth for him to put it in making his mind wander again. He could feel his dick shift inside his pants as he looked down at the drunk blonde with her mouth open, laying on the bed waiting. He only thought about indecent things as he put it to her mouth, the blonde chomping down as she hummed.
"Good," was all she muttered, making him smile. "Drink."
"What am I? Your servant?"
"Yes," she giggled as Natsu put the beer bottle to her mouth to pour some in. The alcohol started to fizz up and make it bubble out her mouth making her choke up and spit the beer out everywhere. Natsu and her both cried out as she sat up, wiping the liquid away from her mouth and chin as she laughed. "Natsu!"
"That wasn't my fault!"
"You overpoured it into my mouth!"
"No I didn't!" Lucy just pouted as she tried to get the wetness off herself, looking at Natsu who just gave her a look. "Alright, I'm sorry."
"You better be," she grumbled as the music continued to play downstairs. The night breeze blew into her room as Natsu watched the beautiful woman in front of him, his heart racing and mind wandering. "I'm going to change."
"Alright, I think I'm going to head back downstairs."
"Wait!" Lucy cried out as she stood by her closet door, eyes glossy as her cheeks flushed deeper. "Do you… could you stay for a bit?"
"Uh, o—okay…" he sputtered, freezing up as he sat back down. "I'll wait."
Lucy only smiled brightly as she disappeared into her closet.
This gave Natsu time to panic slightly as he wondered why she asked him to stay and what was going on through her head. She is such a complete different person drunk than she is sober and he didn't know what to do. He would never take advantage of her and have her do things she wasn't comfortable with. And especially with the amount of times she's tried to kiss him tonight, he wasn't sure what he should do. Obviously he would kiss her back but he knew how drunk she was. He would want her to remember and he didn't want to make her feel bad about her choices she made while intoxicated.
He swallowed hard when he watched Lucy come back out, seeing how she just wore an oversized t-shirt found inside the closet. She stumbled her way back to the bed, flopping down on the mattress where Natsu sat.
"So, what's up?"
"I just need a minute away. Figured we could hang out." She smiled, a hiccup following after. "It's been a long day."
"It has been," he agreed, watching how she looked up at him. She laid on her stomach, feet kicking back and forth as cupped her face. He just looked away to drink his beer, a slight blush coming to his cheeks. "Is your arm alright?"
"Yeah," she sighed, feeling the bandages on her arm. "I hope Touka is alright."
"She's the one who caused this and you're thinking about her?"
"She didn't mean it," Lucy sat up, crossing her legs in a pretzel. "She's just protective."
Natsu just snorted, taking another swig. "You're too nice."
"Maybe I am," she smiled coyly as she rocked back and forth. "or maybe I'm just an empath."
"Whatever you want to call it."
A silence came by them once more before Lucy broke it. "Hey.. Natsu?"
"Yeah?"
"Did you… see anything in the fire?"
He turned his head to see Lucy looking down at the space between her, drawing random shapes into the bed. He pursed his lips and just stared, thinking about how specific and magnificent the sparks danced for him.
"No," he lied. "Did you?"
Lucy lifted her head to look up at him, a small sad smile on her lips. It made him rethink his answer as they stared at one another, an awkward silence slicing through as Lucy narrowed her eyes. She had a slight pout to her lips and she looked back up at him, batting her eyelashes in a flirtatious manner.
"No," she said as she started to move. She crawled over to him making him gulp, eyes wide. He felt somewhat relieved when she crawled over him who stayed as still as he could, seeing how she reached over to his side to pick up a donut. She reeled back and sat back down, looking at him as she bit into the dessert. "I guess it was just all fake."
"Y—yeah…" He turned his head away, flushing again. "Did you want another drink?"
"I'm fine," she hummed, eyes closed as she chewed. "I'm really drunk."
Natsu felt his chest tighten once more as he felt enchanted watching her beautiful self. Her hair was everywhere and she had crumbs on her face, cheeks flushed deep crimson and eyes closed as she ate but Natsu never thought she looked prettier. He could feel the warmth crawl back up his neck as he clutched the beer bottle tight.
He took in a deep breath and decided to lean in, grabbing the side of her face to pull her in to kiss her. He could taste the alcohol and the donut she was eating, feeling the stickiness and crumbs against his lips. He had his eyes squeezed shut as he was afraid to see her reaction and he was also afraid of the impact that would follow soon after. But as he waited for her fist, he was surprised to feel her kiss him back, pressuring applying to his lips. He pulled away slightly to lean back in, kissing her on the lips as quickly as he left them. Peppering her with light kisses, he held her so gingerly, crumbs sticking to his mouth and chin.
He pulled away after a couple more kisses, sitting back down to stare at the dazed face of Lucy as he also grew crimson. There was a long pause between them, eyes locked as they just continued to grow redder by the second. Lucy opened her mouth to say something but shut it immediately, biting down on her bottom lip to chew on it nervously.
Natsu put his beer bottle to his mouth and finished his beer quickly, standing up to grab one donut before making a beeline to the door. "Good night!"
He was out of her room before she could even blink, the blonde sitting in her original spot on the bed with a red face and beating heart. Her mouth was ajar as she just stared at the wall, mind racing as she tried to wrap her drunken self around what happened. She didn't know if she was just so drunk that Natsu had kissed her or if he actually did as her trembling hands came up to her lips.
She never thought her first kiss would be like this but it was everything she imagined it would be.
Sweet. Soft. Gentle. Loving.
It wasn't in the pouring rain or under the starry night skin after her first date. It wasn't from her boyfriend or someone was dating on a whim. And it certainly wasn't from Prince Charming she had always dreamt about sweeping her off her feet but it was everything.
Lucy crawled out of bed and sat at the edge of the bed, feeling the warm spot Natsu was sitting on as she put down the half eaten donut she was holding for the longest. She looked around to see the remains of Natsu's presence. His empty beer bottle and the box of donuts, the water bottle he had carried up here for her and the faint smell of his musk. It made her dizzy and her stomach flutter as she desired more. More kisses. More touches. More of his heat. More of his energy.
Without thinking, she was on her feet, swaying back and forth as her body moved on its own.
Her feet padded against the cool flooring as she wobbled her way towards her door, opening it slightly to peek outside. She looked to see the empty halls, the music downstairs continuing to play in the home in a loud vibration. Voices were echoing throughout the home and outdoors as she made her way to the room next door, hand on the doorknob as her heart raced. Her mind was cloudy and she swallowed thick, wishing she had taken a drink of water before she had made her way here. She wiped her mouth of the crumbs she felt and she took a deep breath in before opening the door, coming into the familiar room of Natsu's to see him by his window.
He was quick to whirl around and look at her, hand against his mouth and his face glowing red. His eyes widened slightly as he saw her come into his room, his heart skipping a beat at her appearance.
"L—Lucy?"
She walked as close as she could to him before her knees became too wobbly, her face matching his glow as she stood before him. She was quiet, fidgeting in her spot as the silence between them introduced itself again.
"Lucy, I…"
"Could you kiss me, again?"
"H—huh?" He was taken back. He looked to see how she was flustered, squirming around as if she asked him to shoot her.
"I… want to… kiss… again." She repeated shyly, eyes diverting to the floor. "You said if I asked nicely I could get it, right?"
Natsu swallowed hard, eyes locked on her petite figure as he couldn't help but find her absolutely adorable.
"So… Can you please kiss me again?"
He had a smile on his lips as he walked over to her, closing the distance to place his hand on her cheek to lift her head up. Her brown eyes looked into his and he felt his breath hitch once more, eyes hooded as he could see the desire growing. He stroked the side of her face gently and he felt her lean into his hand, her long lashes batting at him as she purred.
"Just because you asked nicely."
He took the chance and leaned in again, pressing his lips very softly against hers. The first one was quick, a soft peak to test the waters and as he pulled away to look at her reaction, he felt her grab into his scarf and pull him in. This time, it was Lucy who was kissing him.
Their light pecks started to become heated as they turned longer. When their lips parted, they were quick to capture their lips again. Over and over as Natsu tangled his fingers in her hair, holding her close as they kissed. He ran the tip of his tongue against her lips making her gasp, sticking it in between where he tasted the alcohol and donut she consumed. He felt her body tremble and her whimpers as he deepened their kiss, sliding his tongue against hers to coax her to do the same. He felt her hand slide up his chest and wrap around his shoulder while the other one held onto his shirt for support.
He pulled away to look at her face, their breathing heavy as he held her so gingerly. He could feel she was a puddle in his arms as she looked up at him.
"Lucy…" he swallowed hard as he watched her swollen lips part slightly. "As much as I want to keep going… I don't want you to do anything you'll regret."
"I don't regret this," she whispered, voice shaking. "I want to keep going…"
"But you're drunk," he brushed his lips against her swollen ones, again. "And I'm not. I don't think it's right."
"Then get drunk!"
Natsu only laughed out loud, looking down at the pouting woman he held so gingerly. He peppered some sweet kisses on her face and held her close, feeling how plush she felt. "I'll be more than happy to do anything you want," he whispered in her ear as she shivered. "but it has to be under reasonable terms, sweetheart."
Her heart raced inside her chest as he stared into her eyes. Silent exchanges were shared before Lucy sighed deeply, pulling away to place her hands on her burning cheeks. "Ugh, I feel stupid."
"Hey," he immediately reached for her to pull her back to him. "You're not stupid at all. I say and do this because I respect and like you, Lucy," he assured as he tried to connect with her line of sight again. "Trust me, I would love to get a taste of you," he stuck his tongue out to run it across his bottom lip. This made Lucy shiver and look up at him once more, eyes wide. "But I'm going to do this right."
Lucy could only nod as she felt an irresistible urge to just gravitate towards him. She wanted to be held and kissed and touched and it made her chew on her bottom lip as he brushed her hair out of her face. She could see the tent pitched in his pants, a small pout on her lips. As much as she respected Natsu's gentleness and respect for her, she also wanted to see how much better it could get. She couldn't keep her eyes off his well toned body that flexed with his movements.
"Let's go to bed, Luce," he brought her out of her trance. He slowly brought her over to his bed and laid in bed with her, holding her against his chest as the sounds of his heart rapidly beating echoed into her mind. "I'll give you as many kisses you ask for."
His warmth was quick to make her feel sleepy as her eyes fluttered heavily.
Soon, she dreamt about a pink-haired boy kissing her underneath a gazebo by the ocean.
The next morning, Natsu had woken up first. His eyes were shot open and he looked around before turning to see the blonde curled up beside him. She abused his heat as she was latched on like a monkey, his cheeks flushing red as he looked at the cute sleeping face of the woman beside him. His mind was swirling with all the excitement from yesterday and he felt even more out of breath remembering how intimate they were. It made his heart want to jump out of his throat and scream at the top of his lungs to boast about it.
He was careful to wiggle himself free from her as he snuck into his bathroom, looking at his reflection as he ran his hands through his messy locks. He let out a breath of air he didn't know he was holding and a face splitting grin crawled up his face. If he was honest, he should have gone all the way but something inside of him wanted her to beg for him. He wanted her sober and ask him to kiss her and touch her just like she did last night. It excites him to think she would one day but another part of him feels afraid to think she didn't remember.
He's been wanting this for so long. To kiss her. Hold her. Love her.
And he fucked it up by letting his emotions get to him like this.
Natsu groaned out loud, grabbing his hair to tug on it out of frustration.
He made his way back out to his room and he instantly froze up when he saw the blonde sitting up in bed, rubbing her eyes sleepily as she was murmuring about something. He kept his distance as he walked over slowly, sweat outlining his forehead as he now realized he was only in his boxers. He cursed out loud, looking around the room to see if he could find his shirt he tossed somewhere and was in full panic. His eyes landed on his shirt on the ground by the bed and he ducked, crouched down as he army crawled his way to snag his shirt. His fingertips just barely grazed the fabric before he felt the bed shift, staying as still as he could. He saw the tips of her golden hair hanging from over the bed and he cursed himself, slowly tilting his head up to look at the confused looking woman hanging off the side of the bed.
He snatched his shirt off the ground and tossed it on his body, throwing his arms into the respected holes as he offered a shy wave. "H—hey! Good morning! How'd you sleep?"
"H—hi," she shyly waved back, a small smile on her lips. "Um, what am I doing here?" She felt awkward and embarrassed as he was only sitting in his boxers and she only had an oversized tee on in her panties. It had her squirming with the blankets bunched around her lap, heart pounding.
"Uh, you were just really drunk and passed out," he responded as he took a seat on the edge of the bed. He tried to see what she was thinking as her face scrunched up in confusion and then how a wave of nausea overcame her sense. She let out a burp and it made him chuckle, seeing how her cheeks flushed. "How is your arm?"
"My arm?" She echoed, looking down to see a bandage over one of her limbs. She was confused, staring at it as she flipped it to see dried blood that bled through the layer. "What the… when did this happen."
"Last night. You really don't remember?"
"Not really. I don't really remember much. I remember bits and pieces and the fire and it kind of goes south there." She laughed sheepishly.
"So.. you really don't remember last night?"
"I don't like how you said that," Lucy pursed her lips, looking at Natsu who was looking kind of lost in thought. "Did I do or say something I shouldn't have?"
Natsu was quiet, debating if he should tell her about their kiss last night and he looked very uncomfortable making Lucy look at him in horror.
"What did I do? You look so distressed!"
"No, no," he laughed as he realized how he might have looked. "no, it's not that… it's just… do you really want to know?"
Lucy was gaping at him like a fish out of water, now debating with herself if she should just save herself the embarrassment. But the way Natsu was blushing and how he looked uncomfortable made her want to know. She looked at him knowingly and it seemed as if he got the messaged as he cleared his throat.
"You kissed me last night."
"W—wh—what?" She sputtered, face growing crimson as her eyes widened. "We kissed?"
"Multiple times, really." He put his finger to his chin, nodding his head as he recalled the sweet memory. "You asked nicely," he put his finger up to her as she gawked at him. "But that's all we did. Even though you really wanted more. You tried to kiss me outside first but it didn't work out so when I brought you back upstairs you were all drunk and—"
"Okay!" She squealed, covering her ears as Natsu started to snicker. "Okay! Okay! I—I'm sorry! I—!" She moved her hands to cover her never ending blush. "I can't believe I kissed you… I… I'm sorry!"
"Nothing to be sorry about, I liked it," he licked his lips absentmindedly as he remembered it. He noticed how Lucy was just looking at him with her jaw dropped and eyes wide. "What? You're a good kisser."
"I—I've never kissed anyone before!"
"Wait, so that was your first kiss?"
"Yes..!" She hissed out, flustered to the max. "I can't believe I gave out my first kiss… drunk!" She cried out as she threw her head into the mattress in front of her. Natsu put a reassuring hand on her back, giving her soft pats as she groaned into the sheets.
"Hey… it's not that bad… right?"
"I always thought I would have my first kiss with my boyfriend or some guy I was dating or—or… sober!" She cried out. "But I ended up being drunk and not even remembering it at all!"
"You just need to learn how to handle your liquor," he teased making her sigh.
"I know but I'm just not used to it. I never really drank like this before."
"It's alright, you'll learn eventually."
Lucy groaned out and threw her arms in the air, her eyes catching her bandaged mess again. "Wait, so, how did this happen?" She motioned for the arm making Natsu frown slightly.
"Uh, Touka kinda pushed you."
"Really?"
"A fit of jealous rage so they call it."
"Aw, poor girl," Lucy sighed, making Natsu eye her weirdly. "I'm sorry I got in between her and her Prince Charming."
"Stop calling me that," he huffed, a small pout coming to his lips. "And she could have seriously hurt you and you're calling her the poor girl? You really are weird."
Lucy only stuck her tongue out towards him making him return the gesture, the two acting like small children. Natsu could only laugh, seeing how adorable she was as he felt the urge to kiss her, again. His cheeks were pink and he had a toothy grin to his face, looking at her adorable pout. He could still feel her soft lips against his and how perfect they felt. He could remember how she tasted as he licked his lips, hungrily looking at the lips that were so eagerly pressed against his not too long ago.
He forced himself to look away from her, head hung low as he stared at the space between them.
"Uh, I think we're going to head down to the beach today."
"Oh, the beach!" Lucy lit up, a bright smile on her face. "I can't wait. It looked so beautiful yesterday!"
"I made you an offer yesterday."
"Yeah but it's more fun with everyone else."
"Are you saying I'm boring?"
"Maybe a little," Lucy teased, a small smile on her lips as Natsu shot her a playful look. "But… It's more fun when everyone is together. Don't you agree?"
Natsu couldn't help but just smile warmly, placing his hand on top of her head as she looked up at him with those warm chocolate brown eyes.
"It's a lot of fun. Just don't try to kiss me again."
"I—I said I'm sorry!"
"The beach!" Yukino squealed happily as everyone came piling out of their respected cars. The silver-haired one was jumping around, squealing about the sand and the water and volleyball while everyone else began to unload the cars they packed. Erza already had a giant bag including three coolers forced into the car as she insisted they needed all of it. Lucy was in charge of food while Gray was in charge of ice. Juvia brought the waters along (even though the boys swore they wouldn't need water since they have plenty of alcohol) but Erza was persistent on that, too. Sting and Rogue had to pack the coolers, Gajeel was in charge of the grilling tools and Natsu was in charge of firewood for the bonfire they planned for the evening. Jellal was of course in charge of the boys to ensure Erza's plan worked out the way she mapped it.
They made a pretty solid plan as the boys struggled to drag the coolers, chairs, and umbrellas out the car while the girls enjoyed the view.
"We could use some help here..!" Gray huffed, four hats on top of his head including two different sunglasses. He had an umbrella tucked under his arm, a bag in his hands, and the large cooler he was dragging making the four girls turn to look at him.
"Why do you have so many hats?"
"Whose bag is that?"
"Are those my sunglasses?"
"These are all yours!" Gray shouted out as Jellal set up the wagon beside him. "Erza, you always overpack!"
"C'mon, ice-princess," Natsu came around to give him a smack on the back. "I bet I can beat ya!" He snickered as he also had a beach bag tucked over his shoulders. He had the firewood tucked underneath him and a cooler behind him, a wide challenging smirk on his handsome face. "Last one shot-guns!"
Watching how Natsu sprinted off, Gray gawked before he picked his things up and ran towards him. "You fucking cheater!"
"Gajeel, drag the grill over by the bonfire, please. And Sting, don't forget the chairs. Rogue, make sure we have plenty of ice left. And make sure we have cups in there." Erza instructed as the three remaining just nodded in defeat.
"Y—yes ma'am…"
"Wow, I haven't been to the beach since I was a kid!" Lucy beamed as she walked through the hot sand, toes sinking in deep. "This is so exciting!"
"Really? Akane beach is so close to us, though!"
"Yeah, but I never really had anyone to go with…" Lucy admitted a bit sadly. "But I'm glad I got to experience this with you all!"
"Aw, Lucy!" Yukino squealed, giving the blonde a hug. "You are so cute!"
"Juvia doesn't really like swimming…" the blue-haired one pouted slightly. "But, I get to see my darling Gray swim and tan and look so scrumptious..!"
"You only came to see Gray?"
"Gray is Juvia's lifeline." She said casually making the other three exchange odd looks.
They just decided to ignore her as they joined the boys by their spot they chose, seeing how they were rushing to see who could set up their spot fastest as the umbrellas and chairs were tossed around. Gray and Natsu looked real focused and heated as Natsu shouted out in victory, throwing down his last chair as he taunted the dark haired one.
"In your ugly face!"
"You cheated!"
"You've always been a sore loser, Gray."
"And you've always been a liar!"
"Nu-uh!"
"Yuh-huh!"
"Nu-uh!"
"You two seriously need to grow up." Yukino deadpanned, dropping her bag by a chair as she shot them a look. "You guys look like a bunch of kids."
"Yukino is right, you two are fighting like children." Erza chimed in, huffing at the two males who jumped at her stare.
"It's because they are," Lucy also said, a smug smile on her face as Gray and Natsu gawked at her.
"Lucy, you too?!"
"She's ventured into the dark side…"
Giggling, Lucy's eyes lingered a little too long on Natsu's as he also gave her a knowing smile. Lucy just went to dig in her bag he had carried over while he continued to finish setting the umbrella up, actually putting some thought into it as the rest of the group got their belongings together. Sting and Rogue were already in the water, splashing Gajeel who yelled at them for getting his hair wet as Gray was running towards the water with a boogie board. Juvia was cheering him on as she jumped up and down, shouts of encouragement and admiration echoing into the air.
"They're going to burn out there… idiots." Yukino muttered as Lucy was taking turns squirting sunscreen into each other's hands. "See if I put aloe on them later!"
"Oh, you know you will," Lucy teased as Yukino turned around to get sun cream applied to her back. "They're lucky to have you."
"Honestly, sometimes I don't think they would survive without me around."
Lucy and Yukino shared laughs as Jellal took his time massaging oil and sunscreen onto his girlfriend who was happily soaking in the warmth and touches from her man. She was completely oblivious as she laid on the stomach, sighing out in pleasure.
"I meant to ask, Lucy," Yukino said making the said blonde look up as she was rubbing sunscreen on her chest. "What's up with that scar on your back?"
"Oh, this?" Lucy asked as she turned to look at the small scar barely visible on the small of her back. "When I was younger I got into a plane crash with my mom when we were visiting my dad down by Hargeon. I made it out alive but my mom…" Lucy trailed off as Yukino frowned. She placed a hand on her shoulder making Lucy look at her in confusion.
"I'm sorry."
"Nothing to be sorry about. I barely remember it," Lucy laughed lightly, waving the silver-haired one away. "A lot of my memories were wiped out and apparently I was in a coma for a couple months but I was so young I don't have any memory of what happened or the pain. Just a story I was once told, I guess."
"Well… you're very strong and I'm glad you're here with us."
"Thanks, Yukino, I'm really happy—"
"Watch out! A wave!" Sting's voice echoed as he ran towards them.
"Don't you fucking dare, Sting!" Yukino screamed before he tossed the bucket of water right at the four.
Yukino's and Lucy's shrieks echoed out as the cold water got all over them before turning to see how Erza was frozen in spot as Jellal gave the blonde male a knowing look. Sting looked completely stunned as he saw Erza slowly rise and turn to glare at him, water dripping from her bangs. Sting only cowered in fear as his eyes widened, a sheepish smile coming to his lips.
"U—uh c—crazy waves, huh, Erza..?"
"Sting…"
"E—Erza..?" He swallowed hard, watching how she towered over him. "It wasn't my idea!" He squealed as Erza lunged at him, the two running down the beach as he screamed for help. The three could only laugh, unsure to feel bad for him or feel as if he was deserving of the punishment.
"I'm going to go get her before we need to bury a dead body."
"Wait, I want to be part of his death!" Yukino said as she chased after Jellal who was going right after the screaming apologetic blonde student.
Lucy merely only sat down on her towel, crossing her legs as she laughed at the scene. It made her heart swell with happiness and joy as she rubbed sunscreen up her arms, making sure to get every inch of her body to avoid burns. She would hate to show up to school with peeling skin and an uneven tan. It somehow made her think of her girlfriends as a sad smile appeared on her lips. They were probably worried sick about her… she hadn't even told them what happened or where she was. She would definitely get an earful from them if she survives spring break.
"Why do you look so sad?"
Looking up to see Natsu dripping from head to toe, he was giving her a worried look.
"Oh, I'm fine," she laughed lightly. "I just miss my friends. I hope they're not mad or too worried."
"Cana and Levy?"
"Yeah," Lucy smiled warmly thinking about about her friends. "I miss them. I wish they could experience this."
Natsu was quiet for a minute, lips pressed into a tight line as he watched her rub sunscreen on herself. "Where'd everyone else go?"
"Sting threw water on us and Erza is killing him as we speak. Jellal is trying to help but Yukino also went to assist in the murder so I was left to rub sunscreen on myself."
"Want some help?"
Lucy felt her cheeks flush as she watched him come and sit down right next to her, drips of cold ocean water splashing on her skin.
"U—um… sure."
"Turn around."
Lucy shifted herself on her towel to face away from the said male, heart thumping inside of her chest in nervousness. She jolted as Natsu's fingers brushed against her shoulder, an involuntary squeal slipping out as she turned to look at the confused one.
"S—sorry, your hands are cold," she lied as she quickly turned to look away, face in her hands.
In all honesty, the way his fingers brushed against her bare shoulder made the memories of them force itself into her mind as she remembered what Natsu said how she practically assaulted his lips last night. She decided pretending it never happened would be the best for them but the way Natsu kept looking at her and touching her… she wanted to finish what was started last night.
Lucy shivered under Natsu's touch as he rubbed sunscreen on her back. His large hands were able to map out her body quick and easy, his rough pads running across her milky skin.
Natsu knew exactly what he was doing. He had a smirk on his face and it grew with each shiver Lucy produced, seeing how she was trying to keep herself calm. He could hear how her breathing quickened and in all honesty, he was enjoying it. It made him excited that she reacted off of him this way and he planned on toying with her as long as he could before she jumped his bones. She was so incredibly sexy last night and he would have never thought in a million years that the small annoying girl who cried at everything would grow up to be someone as beautiful as Lucy. And now that he had a taste of her, he wanted more.
He wanted to know more about how she shudders at his kisses and how loud she could get when he kisses the deepest parts of her cunt. He wanted to taste her at all different hours of the day and week as well as see how she reacted when he spanks her. It made him hard just thinking about it, a blush coating his cheeks to look away and try to pry his mind off her delicious body.
"There, all done."
"T—thanks," she sputtered, turning back around to keep her eyes casted down. "Do you want me to get your back?"
"Nah," he scoffed, leaning back against his palms. "Sunscreen is for pussies."
"Don't bother me when you're sunburnt and want aloe rubbed on you, then."
"I was kind of hoping you would," he admitted, making Lucy's eyes widen slightly. "Maybe something more."
Lucy looked over to see Natsu's eyes were fixed on hers as he tried to look cool. She pried her eyes away and kept her head down, steam blowing out of her ears as she rubbed the sunscreen down her thigh and legs. She prayed he couldn't hear how fast her heart pounded inside of her chest as she let out a shaky breath.
"I know you don't want to talk about it," he continued as she kept her head down. "But I just want you to know I had a good time last night."
Turning her head away completely, Lucy squeezed her eyes shut just remembering him last night. "W—we barely did anything…"
"But it was everything."
Lucy looked back up to look at him, a surprised look on her face as Natsu was now grinning at her.
"I just want you to know you can talk to me."
A small curled on her lips as she looked at him so lovingly. "I know. I trust you."
Once the sun set and the beach cleared out, the gang was all drunk down by the beach as a large bonfire danced into the night. A couple of other groups in the beach were scattered down further as small balls of fire were seen from down the long dark coast of the beach. Gajeel had already passed out drunk since the afternoon, resulting in everyone stacking anything and everything on top of him. He had buckets, shoes, chairs, umbrellas, trash, and even a cooler laid on top of him as he snored away.
Sting just roasted marshmallows with Yukino, the two giggling about how Rogue almost drowned today as the drunk dark-haired one cried about how he missed someone named Frosh. Gray and Juvia were at the bonfire, sucking face and heatedly touching each other as Erza and Jellal spoke about their childhood, hiccups and laughter erupting from the group like usual.
Natsu and Lucy were down the shoreline, walking side by side as they ventured to find shells for Lucy's at home collection. They were both drunk, nudging each other playfully as they giggled and joked. They would sneakily capture small touches as their hands brushed or shoulders bumped, never daring to go any further as the sounds of the waves crashed loudly next to them.
"and obviously because I am the best, I came out on top. That stripper has nothing against these guns," Natsu flexed his arms to show Lucy who just laughed out loud. "I can't help that I'm better than him in more ways than one!"
"I agree to disagree, Mr. Dragneel."
"What? You think ice-princess is better than me?!"
"So what if I do?"
Natsu gawked at the blonde as Lucy giggled, a playful look in her eyes as the pink-haired student fumed. He soon had a smirk crawling up his lips as he looked mischievous, his hands rising slowly as she realized what he was going to do.
"No!"
"Yes!"
"Natsu!"
Squealing, Lucy started to run with her bucket in her hands as she heard Natsu chasing her down the beach, menacing laughter coming out his lips. He was quicker than her as he scooped her up in his arms, a loud squeal and laughter coming of her lips as he had her upside down. All her shells fell from her bucket as Natsu spun her around, loud fits of screams and laughter coming from their lips.
Natsu eventually lost his footing and tripped, tucking Lucy into his chest as they rolled into the cool sand underneath. They were still laughing as Natsu held her into his chest, ensuring he took majority of the impact as he sprawled out on the sand, looking up at the night sky where the moon greeted him hello.
He could feel her on top of him, head laid out on his chest as they both fought to catch their breaths. He hoped she couldn't hear his heart thundering inside of his chest.
"You dropped all my shells."
"It's alright, we can get more."
"Are you alright?" She leaned up to look down at the grinning face of the drunk male. "You took a pretty ugly fall."
"Nah, the sand is always kind to me."
Lucy giggled at this as he loved the way she laughed at his jokes. He felt enchanted by her look, the way her golden hair fell from the sides of her face and the way her smile shined for him. Her eyes were wide and gleaming as her cheeks burned a luscious red.
"I just want to give you everything you want in this world."
"Well, buddy, you have to get in line. My dad does that already," she laughed out loud as she sat up to straddle him. Natsu was quick to sit up, making her wobble and fall backwards as he caught her, sitting nose to nose as they both smiled at each other.
"I know you can get whatever you want, you've shown that with me. I meant everything else he can't give you."
"Like what?"
"You tell me." His breath smelt like alcohol and his body heat radiated off him like a personal heater. "What have you wanted since you were a kid?"
Lucy hummed to herself, thinking back of the many times she wished for her prince charming to come rescue her. She giggled to herself, mind cloudy from the many drinks she consumed as she blushed.
"My mom used to read this book to me all the time. It's the one where the prince charming rescues the princess from the tower. I always always wanted to be rescued. I wanted my prince charming to come and sweep me off my feet and take me away from the fiery beast who locked her away."
Natsu laughed out loud again, unaware how loud they were since they were intoxicated.
He leaned back on his arms, hands disappearing into the sand as he tossed her a crooked smile. "That story is all sorts of fucked up." He scoffed, eyes rolling. "The dragon never locked her away. The dragon protected her the whole time."
"Then how come she never left and had to wait to be rescued?"
"You ever think maybe she wanted to stay?"
Lucy was stunned as she stared at the male who just educated her, eyes wide and mouth parted slightly.
"And you never really strike me as the person who would wait around to be saved." he said, making her heart pound and the world come to an halt.
His smile and the ways his soft eyes looked at her with so much affection made her so aware of how they were, seeing how she was in his lap. The usual hard features and loud obnoxious gestures he boasted about were long out the door as she realized how soft and gentle this man could be.
Lucy just smiled widely, her body warm as she leaned in without thought, pressing her lips against his once more. Her body sparked and lighted a fire within herself as she felt him kiss her back, a hand on the base of her neck as he held her close. He was so warm and gentle as she got the taste of beer from his tongue, lips parted and exploring the crevices of his mouth. She could clearly feel his large warm hand holding her from the small of her back and his other hand holding her neck in place as he sucked on her tongue.
The moment was picture perfect for her, under the supervision of the moon as the ocean water serenaded them.
"Hey! Lovebirds!" Gray's voice snapped them out of the moment as Lucy pulled away from him, pushing his face away quickly as he yelped. "We're leaving! Let's go!" He jabbed his finger behind him as he snickered at the couple.
"C—coming!" Lucy sputtered as she climbed out of his lap, face burning red. She watched Gray walk back to the group as she turned back to see Natsu holding his mouth, scowling at nobody in particular. "Everyone is leaving."
"I heard," he said as he now got himself up, dusting the sand off his clothes and limbs. "what about your seashells?"
"It's alright," she said as he came to hand her the empty bucket. "I can always come back."
Natsu just offered her a smile, placing a hand on top of her head as they walked together.
The thundering of her heart was loud, pounding in her ear as she sobered up. She took a peek at the taller one beside her to look at his face, admiring his features as his scarf flapped behind them. He looked so handsome and she was just in awe, feeling a smile crawl on her lips as he looked down at her. He also had an amused smile on his face as she giggled, nudging him.
"What?"
"Nothing," he said making her nudge him again.
"Tell me!"
"I was just thinking…" he snickered, unable to get the grin off his face. "You just keep kissing me when you're drunk."
Lucy giggled shyly, casting her head down at the cool dark sand they walked through. "I guess I have the most courage to then," she admitted as he looked at her in surprise. "I'll stop."
"No!" He was quick to say making her quirk a brow at him and smile. "I—I mean I—you—I'm saying," he cleared his throat, red dusting his cheeks. "I mean, I'm drunk, too."
"So, does it cancel out then because we are?"
"I'd like to think so," he said making Lucy laugh out loud. "Don't you agree?"
Lucy hummed as she thought about her answer, lips curved up as Natsu gave her a playful smirk. He nudged her as she wobbled, giggles coming out of her swollen plump lips that he craved for. She was just laughing to herself, smile widening as he watched.
"What?" he asked, a smile also on his lips.
"Nothing," she giggled, hands behind her back as she twiddled her fingers together. "I guess you're right."
"About?"
"The princess and the dragon," she said as he quirked a brow at her. "I never thought of it that way."
"Of course not, the story portrays dragons as this evil creature that keeps the princess away but really dragons are loyal, loving beasts."
"I always hated that story," Lucy laughed as they approached the group. "I always thought of myself as the Princess in the tower and my dad as the evil dragon who kept her locked away all these years. I guess I was wrong."
"Well, now you have a new perspective of it," he grinned at her, showing off his sharp canines.
"Yeah," she sighed happily, coming to the group that was packing up their belongings and trying to put the fire out. "Thanks, Dragon."
Natsu just laughed.
