Maya let out a yawn as she sat up, her hair curled and messy as she smacked her lips. Immediately getting up due to a lack of hydration, she exited her bedroom, rubbing her eyes as she made her way to the kitchen.

It was just then her mind immediately woke up, slowly turning around to see Jonah's body covered by the black suit. Black tendrils suspending him in the air much to her confusion. "Uh… Jonah, are you okay?"

Almost in response to this, the black tendrils guided him onto his feet as the white spider and eye markings returned but this time it was messier, legs spread out with his eyes appearing in their angered state. Coupled with this, he now had a slight carapace-like plating growing on his trapezius, forearms and thighs. With bizarre, two toed feet present.

Maya backed away from the unresponsive Jonah, or who she assumed it was at this point. "Hey… uh, you alright?", she got behind the counter as the black suited Bullet Spider tilted his head almost pondering the question.

Within a mere blink, he was standing in front of her… no. Towering over her, Maya felt as if he had grown taller but couldn't focus on that as he grabbed her jaw roughly. She squeaked as he examined her facial features, almost as if examining her for the first time.

"MJ.", the monstrous voice echoed, it was o unnaturally deep she could feel her bones vibrate as he tightened his grip around her chin.

"Ow- hey, you're hurting me!", Maya grabbed at his wrist as she tried to pry him away but it felt as if she was trying to move a stone statue. "L-Let go, p-please."

Maya felt his fingers press harder against her chin as the sore pain began to burn. Suddenly, even with little force, he launched her against the fridge as he began looking around. "Mother- what the hell is wrong with you?!"

"Fisk."

The blue eyed young woman didn't stand up as she was more or less afraid to, he took a more aggressive stance. The voice he spoke into riddled with nothing but unbridled hatred. "Yeah…. you said you were going to delve into his stuff more thoroughly once you killed Hammerhead-"

Bullet Spider let out a growl, not any growl a human can make, more akin to something an animal would generate. Suddenly, he appeared in front of the window and attempted to open it and failed at it for a few attempts, as if attempting to relearn how to.

Once he opened it, he snarled as he leapt out the window. Maya quickly rushed over to see him crawling along the wall, yet it was different this time, he had left indents in the stone walls that made up the building next to hers utilizing his talons.

"He never uses his talons to crawl on walls like that.", Maya thought as she took out her phone and immediately called Hobie. "C'mon jackass answer on first ring this time-", right as she finished saying this he answered.

["It is like, twelve in the morning, what is it?"]

"Say, you can track Jonah's phone right?"

["Yeah, why? Is he cheating on you?"]

"No, he grabbed me by my chin and flung me to my fridge, then he leapt out the window talking about Fisk.", Maya casually stated with heavy sarcasm with how casual it is. "He scared the shit out of me, just check on him."

["Yes ma'am.", he says as he immediately ended the call.

Speeding through the streets on his modified motorcycle, the Prowler was tracking down the ping Jonah's phone emitted thanks to his helmet. Sliding underneath a passing truck and jolting back upwards he went faster. "Hmm... I know this place, it's one of Fisk's construction sites right?"

Shooting a grappling hook from his gauntlet, he hoisted himself on top of the roof that essentially helped make up the alleyway. His visor shifted to a different setting, zooming in on the heat signatures. "Ohhhh, shit."

From the first floor to the third floor of the construction site was littered with freshly dead bodies judging by the slowly declining heat. The fourth floor is where Bullet Spider was. "Hmmm..."

The Prowler leapt over to the building and crawled through the very few finished vents. Using the energy his suit generated to cling onto the ceiling, his eyes widened at the sight.

"RUN! GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE!"

"What about the stock?"

"FUCK THE STOCK-", the one Fisk thug exclaimed before Bullet Spider landed ontop of him and snapped his neck entirely around. As the body fell to the ground he let out a thunderous roar, bullets zipped to his body yet simply bounced off.

"KILL!", Bullet Spider screamed as he rushed at another group that frantically fired off their bullets at him, only for them to be met with him turning into this mass of tendrils shifting into the shape of a four sided blade.

It sliced through the floor and through their bodies before returning to its original shape. The Prowler watched this genuinely shocked. "That ain't Jonah. Not entirely at least."

As Bullet Spider was beating the head of one of the Fisk thugs into a mass of blood, bone shards and meat. He immediately spun back and launched a tentacle at The Prowler who immediately jumped away and landed on a shelf that was tipped over.

"Nice to see you too, bro.", The Prowler causally states as Bullet Spider hissed like a feral animal, slowly getting off the dead body and tilted his head. Standing in this strange, hunched stance, his talons bared. "Gotta say, this is quite the mess, even for you."

Bullet Spider began to walk towards him, it was a very slow, almost purposely slow stride. Black tendrils slowly pulling themselves out of the black biomass that made the suit.

The Prowler narrowed his eyes as he hopped off the shelf, a split second after, Bullet Spider stomped on the ground with enough force to crack it, black spikes rapidly emerging from the ground that forced the Prowler to jump over and drop kick the black suited figure back.

Instead of falling back, thick black tendrils bundled up together caught Bullet Spider and allowed him to grab onto Prowler's ankle and slam him into the ground before elbow dropping him into the floor below.

Charging his gauntlet, he punched Bullet Spider in the face with enough force to knock him off and send him into the left over pile of bodies, the black suit peeling away due to the energy. "Doc Brock said the suit is an alien, she seemed worried about your extended amount of time with it on. Why don't we take it off for a bit okay?"

"NO!", the black spider exclaimed angrily. "You won't separate us. He needs us!",

"He?", the Prowler was confused by the use of it, albeit he soon grew concerned the moment he noticed one thing. Jonah's face was partially exposed, showing one bizarre thing about him currently.

"Is he... sleeping?", The Prowler didn't have much time to think before Bullet Spider was already lunging at him, narrowly dodging and countering with a knee to his chest. Purple energy charged around his gauntlets as he punched him in the face yet again, this time the Symbiote didn't even flinch yet he was still sent skidding back.

The mercenary narrowed his eyes as he rushed forward and threw a jab that missed only for the Bullet Spider to he struck by a knee to the stomach by Prowler attempting to strike.

Shocked, the Prowler noticed that he didn't even budge in the slightest. Tendrils coiled around his muscles before he punched him right through the building, the Prowler tumbled into another building before crashing right out and landing ontop of a car parked on the side of the road

"Ow...", eternally grateful he reinforced the suit with a shock absorbent material to soften the blow, Hobie stumbled onto his feet. His helmet screen cracked in some areas. "Y'know what? Maybe sound would help right now."

"Never wound.", The Prowler immediately spun around to see the spider crawling along the wall, his talons leaving small little holes as he did. "What you can't kill."

"I assume you're the Symbiote?", The Prowler smirked as he saw a meter on the top left of his screen showing the distance between himself and his motorcycle. "I have to stall."

"The Friend needs us. He doesn't need you anymore.", a mouth suddenly began to form, an almost snake-like mouth with a row of needle-like teeth.

The Prowler chuckled as he looked at the cat he had landed on, the moment he saw the headlight of his motorcycle he struck the car as the Bullet Spider leapt at him with the newly formed mouth wide open. A split second after, the car alarm activated and caused the black suit to erupt in multiple black tendrils as The Prowler leapt over and slammed him into the asphalt.

Running off, he leapt up and landed on his motorcycle and sped off. The Bullet Spider, or more accurately, the Symbiote possessing his body roared in annoyance as he grabbed the car with his bare hands and ripped it in half.

The black tendrils slowly melting back into its protoplasmic biomass, letting out a sigh in relief that quickly turned into a furious growl as the Prowler had escaped its violent grasp. Sniffing the air, it roared before jumping over a building utilizing his tendrils.

You pushed her down, didn't you? One day you had enough of her yelling, her projecting, so you pushed her down the stairs in hope the fall would kill her.

Jonah Parks, roughly 8 years old, stood at the top of the staircase within a stairwell, looking down at the body of his mother slowly controlling her breathing as she laid there unmoving. His eyes burned with rage, sorrow and grief, he tightened his fist as his lip quivered.

It's not your fault, it's hers, the same guttural voice echoed through the stair well as whatever color there was slowly greyed out. A black creature manifested, forming into a more feminine form as it stood next to him. It's a mother's job to keep their child safe, happy, loved. But like the pathetic worm, she let her own grief take hold and use you as a way to vent out her own personal feelings while ignoring yours.

You were left alone, forced to teach yourself things that a parent should've. Correct?

"Mmhmm...", the younger Jonah says looking down as it all faded into a grey void surrounded by black webbing.

The creature slowly knelt down to eye level, it tilted its head curiously before touching his shoulder. Do you want to be left alone again?

The child looked down at his feet before shaking his head. "Nuh uh."

Jonah then finally woke up... but not on the couch, not even anywhere near Maya's apartment. Wearing a simple black shirt that displayed the scars on his arms, black pants and black running shoes. He laid on a bench in what he believed to be Central Park.

He sat up, stretching his arms as he felt genuinely much better than he had the night before. He took out his phone and looked at the messages, a few from Maya, a couple from Hobie and one from Harry. Jonah let out a sigh as he stood up. "Alright then."

Considering how early it was, nobody was passing through the park frequently. Popping his shoulder, the black suit coiled around him as he leapt into the air, swinging forward with his black webbing. "How did I even get there anyways? And why do I feel fucking amazing?"

The Symbiote manifested a black tendril to hold up his phone against his ear. Using a smaller tendril to scroll through and click on a voice mail.

["Hey, dude, it's me, Hobie. So it's like, six in the morning and I'm arriving at Harry's place with Maya. Uh, we need you to go there too, mainly because we need to uh... tell you something very important. Just come, seriously, we need to talk about that suit."]

"What's to talk about? This suit is amazing.", Bullet Spider casually said as he expertly weaved through a gap between buildings and launched himself forward again with black tendrils which transitioned into him soaring through the air. "Gonna have to make it up to Maya though, she must be worried sick."

It didn't take long for him to track them down, his heightened sense of smell allowed him to hone in on the specific smell of pancake mix Maya had spilt on her not the overly expensive cologne Harry had used.

It also didn't take long for him to sneak in, hide in the corners of the rooms as they all sat there awkwardly waiting for someone to start a conversation while MJ sat far away from Harry, Hobie stood around pacing back and forth. "I can't tell if you're ignoring me or you genuinely didn't notice me."

The three jumped in genuine surprise as Bullet Spider dropped down the floor, the black suit reshaping itself into clothes. "The guest of honor has arrived!", Jonah exclaimed with an uncharacteristic sense of childish enthusiasm.

"What do you remember of last night?", Maya asked curious as she slowly stood up and backed away from him.

"Uhhh...", Jonah could barely remember anything, glimpses of him moving through a building but nothing beyond that. "I just remember being so exhausted I couldn't move then I passed out, and then I woke up on a park bench."

"Dude.", Hobie looked at him. "You were running around killing Fisk's goons, you threw Maya into a fridge man."

"No I didn't, I would've remembered doing that."

"Well...", Harry chimed in finally. "It's not surprising, you're wearing an alien after all. They call it a Symbiote, it binds to a host and basically results in you."

Jonah thought about it for a moment before nodding. "Cool."

The three weren't exactly shocked but genuinely impressed with how well he took it. "Seriously?", Hobie tilted his head.

"For reals. I have a little buddy on me at all times.", Jonah says with a smile. "Though I guess it explains the voice I've been hearing in my head the past couple of days."

"You've been hearing voices?", Harry stood up suddenly, which surprised MJ and Hobie but evoked a glare from the spider. "How often?"

"Very. Why?"

"Doctor Connor's says whenever a test subject hears voices, it means the bonding process is nearing completion.", Harry said as somehow, Jonah knew exactly what he was talking about.

"it is because they would kill the host and shove me back into a sonic holding cell."

"Ohhhhh, now I get it.", Jonah looked at Harry with his scarlet, inhuman red eyes. "You just want it back? For what? More test? To destroy it?"

Hobie scowled before approaching Jonah. "Dude, you've been way too dependent on that suit. That suit is changing you."

"Oh bet what Doc Ock said that night really stuck with you huh.", Jonah scoffed with a raised eyebrow. "You think I couldn't hear her did you? I bet it lets you sleep well at night thinking that little bug bite turned me rabid, huh? And you-", he looked at Maya with daggers. "You should be on my side."

Maya looked almost offended by this. "You scared the shit out of me and basically threw me into a fridge. Why would I be on your side?"

"Because you know me, you know I wouldn't do that.", Jonah says as he slowly became more agitated. "Do you not trust me anymore?"

"It's not like that."

"They're not worth it."

Jonah hissed as the living costume manifested, black tendrils coiling tight around each other as a white spider began to form. "You're trying to take the suit away from me, and I'm not gonna let that happen."

"Dude.", Hobie backed away from Jonah as he noticed immediately from his posture that he was going to attack, he didn't know how, but he knew.

"It makes me better! Everyone benefits when I'm at my best!", the black suit had fully formed with the mask slowly bleeding out of his face. "Oh I get it, you just want it for yourselves.", his voice became noticeably more gruff, almost as if he was straining his vocal cords to speak before running towards a wall and diving right through it.

"Well... that went to hell.", Harry commented as he needed to figure out an excuse for a gaping hole in the wall.

"Honestly went how I'd expected.", Hobie stated casually."

"You expected this?"

"Yup."

"And you didn't bother trying to give us a heads up?"

"Nope.", Hobie yawned before popping his neck. "But considering I know what the suit is weak to, I'll have to force it off since he won't cooperate."

Maya chortled. "Sorry, not to be on his side for a moment, but Jonah can quite literally blow you away if he sneezes too hard with that suit on. How do you plan on taking it off him?"

Hobie smirked. "There's a bell near an abandoned mansion up near Queens, right in the backyard of it. All I need to do is piss him off enough and lure him over."

"That sounds... stupid."

"Better than nothing."
