Chapter 30
Turning Point 1
I woke up to the sunlight that got into my eyes. It was bright outside.
"Yawn...What time is it…? Hm...it's already morning..."
Making some Earth Cup I make myself some warm water to drink.
"Damn...drinking too much Juice makes me stay up later than I thought. All that sugar...that's going to make me fat-ahhh!"
Thub!
"Ow…What the heck? Ghislaine?" Eh? Why is she on the floor? Beside her are several bottles of wine...is she still drinking after I go to sleep!?
"Oi! Ghislaine! It's morning already." Shaking her left and right, she finally started moving.
"Urg...What time is it?" She got up while groggily rubbing her head. "Ugh...I really did drink a bit too much."
I applied some Detoxification magic on her. She instantly started to feel better.
We both stand up from the floor and look around only to see the mess of a once clean room. Books scattered everywhere, bottles here and there…
I look straight toward Ghislaine. She of course felt a bit bad and helped me clean up the mess she made while drunk.
It took us around 10 minutes to finish cleaning up. Ghislaine said she was going to get Eris for something and she told me to get in my adventurer, get up, and come to the manor gate.
I did as she said with my Adventurer getting up with my Card and the Black Heart on my hip. I even wear the Bracelet Charm that Elinalise gave me with the necklace of Zenith and Anashia…
It made me smile when I was in my full get-up like this. Maybe I should get Lilia's scarf too? hmm…maybe not. I will leave it here, it is not that cold yet.
Walking out to the gate I spot a carriage waiting for us. Waiting there are Eris and Ghislaine.
"Yo! Why do we gather like this?"
"I ask Rudeus to show me his strongest Magic and he agrees. So I invite Eris and You too." Ghislaine answered my question.
"Hm...His strongest magic should be...Cumulonimbus?"
"That's right. If I remember correctly you didn't learn it right?"
Rudy suddenly appeared behind me! God.
"Don't scare me like that...hm? Rudy? You smell kinda weird?" This smell….I feel like I know this.
"Eh!? Ah! This! It's nothing! I just use a different uh….that right! I just use a different Soap that all!"
He was panicking all over for some reason. I was puzzled at his behavior so I looked at Ghislaine for some kind of answer.
But when I looked at her I only saw a small smile. "You really are Paul's son." With that, she gives him a thumbs up and picks Eris up into the carriage. "Come on. We don't have all day."
With that, we all got into the carriage with Rudy blushing all over his face. Why? It was only his smell that was weird….Oh. oh…
R-right! He was at that age after all…
Needless to say, that whole ride was awfully awkward for the two of us. While Eris is enjoying plastering Rudy about the spell.

The ride took us to the open field outside of the city. We then spend around another 10 minutes walking away so that Rudy won't destroy anything with his spell.
"Now then!" Rudy said as he was readying his new staff. The Aqua Hertia or Arrogant Water Dragon King. The latter name is kinda of lame but well.
"Wow! With the same amount of mana, It can produce the result with at least 4 times the strength! This is truly a great Staff!"
Eris, hearing him, said that she felt proud and puffed her chest up.
"Then! Let me show you! Rudeus Greyrat Stongest spell! Cumulonimbus -eh?"
"What's wrong? Is there something like Rudy?" I ask him but he only stares at the sky while pointing at where Roa is.
I look over only to see an ominous dark cloud gather around above the city of Roa.
"What is that? Ghislaine should we go back?" Eris asks nervously.
Ghislaine opens her eye patch revealing her Demon eye.
"That...was a large sum of mana. Did you do this, Rudeus?"
"N-no! I didn't even start gathering mana!"
I look over and see something flashing from The Chaos Breaker some distance away. A flashing light...moving toward us-
"Duck down Lucy!"
My instinct takes control again and grabs my Sword. I block whatever comes at me at extreme speed with barely just in time!
Rumble!
Another flash of light but this time Ghislaine moved just in time to parry it away. The two then start their fight with Ghislaine able to parry everything the Light throws at her.
"Who are you! And why are you attacking us!?"
The light stops moving and a man with a mask appears.
"We are Almanfi of the Bright. 1 of the 12 servants of Lord Perugius. Step aside woman, that child is the remnant of Laplace. We must kill it and maybe we will be able to stop this."
Everyone let out a gasp of surprise and looked at me. I didn't surprise myself but just continued to stare at the man.
Perugius Dola. The armored Dragon King. One of the 7 heroes who sealed Laplace away.
So...does he know about us? He knows that we have Laplace blood and wants to kill us off too? Tch.
"In the name of My master Gal Farion, I Sword King Ghislaine swear that we didn't have anything to do with what was happening!"
Ghislaine said as she showed her sword. An undeniable proof of her apprenticeship under The Sword god and a symbol of the Sword King.
Almanfi took a second to look at her but he did not sheath his Knife. "We understand. But the blood of Laplace must be eradicated from this world."
With that said he became a flash of light and rushed at me. It was so fast that I almost didn't have time to prepare but when he turned back to Human form he was much slower. I took advantage of it and parried away his blade while pushing him away from me with wind magic.
Boom!

The sudden boom interrupted them. They stop their fight and look at the citadel of Roa being enveloped by the blinding light that rapidly approaches them.
Seeing this Almanfi turns into a light and leaves right away leaving the four people to their demise.
Lucy, fearing what would happen, rushed straight toward Rudeus and Eris intending to take them away as fast as possible but before she could catch the light.
but it was in vain. the light caught up to her before she could reach them. The last thing she saw was Rudeus hugging the fallen Eris while looking at her with confusion and despair.
"Rudy! Eris! Run-!"
She was gone. Everything was gone. The once-crowded city of Roa is gone. Leaving nothing behind. No tree, no weed. Not even a little brick of a building or something.
The only thing in this place is a young teen sleeping peacefully in the middle of the ruined city.
Soon the girl woke up and took in the landscape of the ruined city.
"Where...am I? Ow! My head kinda hurts...the last thing I remember is Akito suddenly hugging me...Then a man screams and then he pushes us away along with the lady near us…? What am I doing here?"
The girl pondered but she did not know anything. She gets up and looks around only to find the empty plain that once was a proud Citadel of Roa. Not that she knew it of course.
She walks around with no destination in mind. Finding her way in this seemingly flat field. But she has to come to a halt.
In Front of her is a pack of dogs. A pack of hungry dogs seems to be injured. Their legs were broken and they were eating their kind.
The moment the dogs notice her they quickly change their target. From the almost rotting flesh of their kind to the pure girl with plenty of meat for them.
Uwo!
They howled as they began to run toward her. The girl couldn't do anything but quickly ran away in panic.
Although injured the dogs are still able to run and it quickly catches up to her. As she was about to catch up a sudden breath of wind blew her away.
She was not harmed, as she looked at what caused her to get blown away she saw a man.
He is wearing a white coat in this hot sun, and his ashen hair along with his golden sharp eyes fascinated the girl. She watched as the man decimated the dogs with ease.
No blood was stained on his white clothing. He walked toward the girl, keeping his caution. She too is being cautious of the man.
"& ^#*&?" The man spoke. But she did not understand. She tilted her head in confusion.
He spoke again but this time in a different tone. But she still did not understand.
"U-um...Who are you?" She asked the man.
The man raised his eyebrow not understanding the girl's question. But then he took out something that was akin to a notebook and wrote something on it.
He showed the girl what he wrote. The girl took the notebook and surprise appeared on her face.
The thing the man writes is similar yet not like Japanese. They are similar to each other so she did her best and wrote something hoping maybe the man could decipher what she wanted to convey.
The man looked at the letter and frowned. He did not understand. Only able to know a little bit of the meaning the girl has written down.
She was not supposed to happen. She was not supposed to be here. The citadel of Roa isn't supposed to become ruined until much later, yet here it is.
A variable that should not appear. Event that happened much sooner because of said variable.
Something changes within his seemingly infinite loop. A change that he welcomes nonetheless.
"Orsted." The man said. This time he spoke out his name.
The girl took a moment to process what he said. Then she understood him and spoke out too.
"Nanahoshi Shizuka." a peculiar name. A name that is not from this world.
He then began to walk and gestured to the girl to follow him. The girl did, albeit very hesitant. But she follows him nonetheless. Thus began their journey throughout the world together.
Hello! Everyone this is Jestly The author of this Fanfiction! We came a long way, right? I have been posting since June and I can't believe that it has been 4 months! I can't even believe that I can write for this long. Well, I want to say thank you to everyone who has been supporting this series by reading and even liking and commenting on this! Now that we arrive at Turning Point 1 I feel relief! Because it has been a nerve-wracking experience setting everything up for it!
