Chapter Four: Nowhere To Run

Gohan and four of the new five he had met have made it to a largeish building. Having move so fast, Gohan looked dizzy as he stepped out of the crate.

"Uuh..I don't feel so good." Gohan said, before falling face forward.

Ginyu shook his head. "Tisk tisk! Damn it, Recoome! You made the kid sick!" He looked at Recoome, sighing at him. "You shoulda been more careful!"

Recoome chuckled. "Sorry, Boss!"

Jeice lifted Gohan up, causing him to stand on his feet. "Come on kid, walk it off, you'll be fine."

Gohan nodded as he blinked a couple of times. "Okay…" He followed the four into the building. At first it seemed like a normal house, they passed through a living room and into a hallway, turning right after passing two doors.

They went down a flight of stairs and entered what seemed to be a large studio area, with mirrors on the wall, and a bar along those mirrors. Gohan seemed a bit confused, but shrugged it off, seeing as it probably made it easier to practice their poses.

Ginyu stood by a bench and pat it a couple of times. "Come sit over here, kid." He said. Gohan nodded in response, walking to the bench and sat down. "You're gonna watch us, tell us if we look cool or not, alright?"

Gohan nodded. "Okay!" He smiled.

Ginyu walked back to his three other men and stood in alignment with them. "Hey, Cap'n, how are we supposed ta do it without Burter?" Jeice asked.

"Don't worry, we can do our few poses that don't need him." Ginyu answered. He looked back at Gohan who was patiently waiting. "By the way, what's your name kid?"

"Gohan!" Gohan answered.

"Definitely not a Saiyan name. Couldn't be a halfbreed either, but I wouldn't rule it out as impossible." Ginyu shrugged it off for now and looked at his other men as they did their poses. They all started walking backwards, making it look like they were sliding forwards, keeping their heads turned to behind them.

There was also some music playing from a boombox at the same time. After a few seconds, Guldo spun and dashed back, taking a pose. His left leg was stretched to the side and his hands were formed into their claws. His right hand was raised and his left hand was leveled with his upper chest.

"Guldo!" He shouted.

Right after, Recoome spun and dashed back near Guldo, his knees were bent, pointing to opposing sides, his right arm was flexed up and his left arm was flexed upside down. He faced his right arm then turned. "Recoome!"

Jeice spun and dashed back towards Recoome, a foot in front of him, his right knee and foot forward, his left knee on the ground, with his two hands looking almost as if they were pointing to something. "Jeice!"

Next was Ginyu who spun and dashed back, stopping not far from where Jeice was pointing, and his right knee was also forward and bent like Jeice with his left knee on the ground. His arms were in a slanted raised t-pose. "Ginyu!"

The four paused for a moment then the music stop. "Well?" Ginyu asked.

Gohan got up and cheered. "It looks super cool!"

"Any suggestions?"

Gohan nodded. "Yeah!" He got closer and pointed to Jeice. "You could make him point more towards the rest of you to make it look more like he's pointing at all of you." He pointed to Guldo. "Then you can make him put his hands out too at everyone!"

"Point to everyone else? What? No we're showcasin the Cap'n!" Jeice pointed out.

"Yeah, the Cap'n is the star!" Recoome added.

Gohan tilted his head. "But aren't you a team or somethin?" He asked. They nodded in response. "So shouldn't it showcase the whole team?"

"Nonsense! The Cap'n is always the st-" He stopped when Ginyu placed a hand in front of him.

Ginyu stood up. "I like the way you think, kid!" He smirked. "Hm…If we don't end up finding his guardian, maybe we could take him under our wing!"

"Oh and you should stand more heroicly!" Gohan smiled. "Like this!" Gohan stood with his fists on his hips and looked into the distance, showing a face of bravado.

Ginyu looked flabbergasted and cringed slightly. "Heroicly!?" He said. Gohan nodded blissfully. "On second thought…" He shook his head. "We're not a team of Superheroes ya know?"

Gohan straightened his posture and frowned. "Yeah but it looks cool." He pointed out.

"Our poses are meant to put fear in the eyes of our opponents! Not show we're here for some courageous act!" Jeice growled.

Gohan frowned heavily. "What? But that's so boring." He said. "You'll just look like dancers then…or villains."

"What's wrong with Dancers?" Recoome asked, defensively.

"Or Villains!?" Guldo added.

"I didn't say anything was wrong with dancers, but aren't you guys fighters?" Gohan replied. "Wouldn't you want to look more heroic and courageous? It looks more confident but villainous poses just look boring and evil."

"Incase ya haven't noticed, there ain't such a thing as Superheroes around here." Jeice said. "Plenty of villains though and besides who says those poses that you say look heroic have to be heroic? What if they're just confident?"

Gohan shrugged. "I don't know, it just looks heroic to me. You could always change it up a bit."

Ginyu took a pose. "Like this?" He turned to the right, his face looking straight, his right arm only visible and flexed, and his fist formed as well.

Gohan nodded. "Yeah, that looks super cool!"

Burter arrived at the station by the landing deck within less than a zeptosecond. He walked up a flight of stairs and to a door that said "Restricted Area, Authorized Access only.". By the door was a little keypad and Burter was fast to enter several digits in the keypad.

The keypad lit green and the door opened automatically. After Burter walked through the door, he closed it behind himself and walked down a small corridor. The hallway he walked down opened up into a much wider and larger area.

One particular soldier took quick notice of Burter. "B-Burter, Sir!" He stood in attention. "What brings you here?"

"I need the logs of who's landed here within the last twenty-four hours, where can I do that?" Burter asked.

The man pointed to the right, forty feet away, at a door. "There's a computer in there that logs whenever someone lands." He answered. "But if you want, I can do it for you, Sir."

Burter waved his hand. "No, I'm good, I'd rather do it myself." Burter turned around and walked to the door, opening it and closing it behind him. It was a bit cramped, almost like a small closet in there. In front of Burter was a cabinet with a display on it and keyboard attached below the display.

Next to the keyboard was a mouse, Burter placed his hand and moved the mouse around, clicking a little three lined button that opened up a drop-down menu. On the menu he clicked a button that said "Logs.", the page loaded a UI that said "AUTHORIZATION REQUIRED" and a little camera peeped out from above the display.

Burter pulled out a little circular badge and the Camera projected a red light, scanning the item. A moment later the UI changed and said "AUTHORIZATION ACCEPTED!" in green text. The page reloaded itself and a new interface appeared showing the most recent landings to the station with IDs, Numbers, and Pictures of the person to the left.

Burter scrolled down through several listings, taking a few minutes to find what he was looking for. "Ugh…Only if these machines were as fast as I, Burter! The fastest in the Universe!" He sighed. Finally, there it was, exactly what he thought and what he assumed Ginyu was looking for. It was Raditz, landing recorded as of 18 hours ago.

Burter formed a smirk on his face. "Perfect." He clicked on the listing and opened up all details of Raditz and his history within the Frieza Force, even classified files. However, Burter was here for one specific thing and that was his call number. Burter read it, memorized it, then closed and turned the display off.

Burter vanished from the room and appeared at the landing deck faster than a blink of an eye. He pressed a small button on his green scouter. "Call ID: 44-77J-XXK1" He said. The display on his scouter displayed text, asking if he wanted to accept charges.

Burter rolled his eyes. "Yes. I'll accept." The device continued and a short moment after, a response came through.

"Hello? Who's this?"

"We seem to have found something yourssss, Raditz…" Burter answered.

Sweat dripped from Raditz's face as he sighed exasperatedly. "And may I ask what that is?" He said. Raditz was currently off in space on his pod.

Burter formed a smirk on his face. "There is a child here and he looked quite similar to you."

"Impossible. I don't have any children." Raditz replied.

"Perhaps not, but he is clearly related to you somehow. He's got a similar brand of armor that's normally only available to someone of your…ranking as well." Burter pointed out. "I mean it'd be pretty odd that this kid of all places ends up on this planet, within the same time frame of you landing on this planet."

Raditz gave another sigh. "I'll be back in a few hours." He answered. "I'll make sure it's taken care of asap. Is the Captain there?"

"Yes. He currently has the kid in custody." Burter replied.

Raditz cursed under his breath. "Shit! Vegeta is gonna kill me if he finds out this happened." He thought. "Let him know I'll pay him back for the inconvenience."

Burter chuckled wickedly and grinned. "Will do." His scouter made a beep, signaling the end of the transmission. Within a blue blur, Burter had vanished from the area instantly, arriving back at the temporary basing and to the basement in less than a blur.

Captain Ginyu in an odd position turned around. "Ah! Burter, you're back!" He said. Ginyu leaned in, his eyes glancing to Gohan who was distracted at the moment. "Did you find any clues?"

Burter nodded. "There was a log from one of the Saiyan's pods." He answered. "Raditz…specifically. So I called him up and long story short, the kid definitely has some relation to him."

Ginyu rubbed his chin. "That would explain some of the kid's less violent nature." He said. "But doesn't explain where he came from. I think he might be half breed."

Burter raised a brow. "Halfbreed? Should we alert Frieza?"

Ginyu shook his head. "Nah, it's not our problem anyways and I'm sure Vegeta will have it taken care of anyways." He answered.

Burter moved his gaze over at Gohan, who was currently talking to Recoome, Jeice, and Guldo, telling them about poses they could do. "So what should we do with the kid for now?"

Ginyu shrugged. "He's been giving great suggestions on how we can improve our poses."

Burter looked confused. "Suggestions? From a kid?" He said. "Cap'n, doncha think that's a little humiliating?"

Ginyu shook his head. "Nonsense! A great suggestion is a great suggestion! Especially one by a youthful heart!" He grinned. "Infact! Now that you're here, we should show the kid our greatest and most perfected pose!" He turned to face the others. "Jeice! Recoome! Guldo!"

The three turned to Captain Ginyu immediately and stood at attention. "Captain!" They all said simultaneously.

"Let's show this kid our best pose!" Ginyu shouted. The three nodded in response and got into place immediately. "Get ready, kid, we're about to show you the Ginyu Force's perfect pose!" Gohan formed an excited look as he watched.

On the far left, Recoome started first, his left leg stretched out and his right leg bent towards the right. His two hands pointed and his arms stretched towards the ground. Quickly, Recoome changed, turning his right arm stretched out, above his head and to the right, his left arm and hand levelled with his upper right side of his chest.

"RECOOOOME!" He shouted, signifying the finish of his pose.

On the far right was Burter, he dropped down bending his left knee towards the left and stretching out his right leg, similarly to Recoome but opposite direction. Burter also stretched his left arm towards the left and above his head, and had his right arm leveled with his chest.

"BUUURRRTEEEER!" He said.

Jeice swung his hair around as he dropped to the ground, causing his large white mane to completely cover his face. His right knee was down on the ground and his left knee was bent forward, both of his hands touched the ground with his fingers stretched out.

Jeice raised his arms, keeping his wrists bent. "Jeice!"

Guldo raised his open hands leveled to his head, then jumped and moved his right hand lower than his head as well as raising his left hand higher than his head. He bent his wrists down and closed the gaps in his fingers.

His knee bent as he leaned his head forward and tilted it to the right before dropping to the ground. He returned his head back to a normal position and leveled both hands while closing them to the same height as the center of his head.

His left knee was on the ground with his right knee bent forward. Similarly to Jeice, Guldo raised his hands and flicked his hands towards opposing directions. "GULDOOOOO!"

Ginyu was faced the opposite direction of everyone else, facing the wall. He bent half way down and t-posed his arms with his hands completely open. Then he bent further down, his head now visible between the gap of his legs and his arms bent towards the gap of his legs.

His open hands visible in the gap. "GINYUUU!"

Suddenly they changed in the blink of an eye. "WE!" Recoome shouted. Now he stood with his back facing Gohan, his head turned, and his left arm bent. His right arm was stretched out and his right knee was bent forward. His left foot was bent as his left leg tilted forward.

"ARE!" Burter continued. His right knee was bent and lifted to his lower abdomen. His arms stretched out like a t-pose but slightly bent back and up, with his thumb and fingers up against each other.

"THE!" Jeice said. His right fist was raised, his left arm was flexed, and his right leg stretched away from his right leg.

"Ginyu!" Guldo took more of a pose that one could say it was a taste of freeform jazz. His right leg was slightly bent to the right, his jaw was on his closed right fist, and his right elbow was on his left hand.

"FORCE!" Ginyu finished. His right foot was bent and his right knee bent towards the ground. His left knee was also bent as his body was bent towards the ground, his two arms were pointed to the ground with his hands closed all except for his index fingers.

They held the pose for a moment. Gohan's face lit up. "THAT'S SO AWESOME!" He clapped his hands. The five straightened their postures and relaxed as they removed themselves from their pose.

Ginyu formed a smirk. "Well? Any suggestions kid? For our..ULTIMATE POSE!"

Gohan tilted his head and scratched his head then shrugged. "I dunno, I think it's perfect!" He smiled.

Ginyu turned to the four behind him. "Ya hear that bois? Kid thinks our poses are perfect!" He said.

"Of course! With you at our side, Cap'n! Everything we do is done with excellence and perfection!" Jeice answered.

Ginyu moved his gaze back to Gohan. "I think you deserve a little something for your great critique kid." He said, tousling Gohan's hair.

Gohan tilted his hair. "What do you mean?"

"Do you like desserts?" Ginyu asked.

Gohan nodded. "Of course!"

Ginyu turned back to the other four. "Okay bois! Looks like we're going out for some Ice Cream!"

The four had looks of embarrassment. "I-Ice cream? Really Captain?" Burter said. "I mean isn't that a little…" He stopped knowing the obvious didn't need to be said.

"I'm with Burter on this Cap'n, Ice cream ain't my style." Jeice added.

Ginyu's jaw slacked. "Seriously? All of you?" He said. They nodded in response. He growled angrily. "Then as your Captain, I order all of you to come enjoy some frozen treats with us!"

Jeice, Burter, and Recoome sighed. "Actually, Captain, I'm allergic to most Ice Cream in the galaxy." Guldo said.

Ginyu rolled his eyes and sighed. "Fine Guldo but you're still coming with us."

Guldo nodded. "Yes Captain." He sighed.

"Ok I'll take a double milky-way!" Captain Ginyu said. Having walked to the Ice Cream vendor, Gohan eagerly read the signs or tried to, the signs were in some other language so he had to go off picture. Ginyu turned his face to the others. "Alright, who's next?"

Jeice and Burter looked hesitant but Recoome quickly accepted his fate. "I'll take a single pinwheel." Recoome spoke up. Ginyu moved his eyes to Jeice and Burter who were silent, then Ginyu gave a stare.

Jeice sighed. "I'll take an Andromeda." He made an uncomfortable look.

"Single Dark Matter." Burter added.

Ginyu turned to face Gohan. "And whaddya want kid?"

Gohan shrugged. "I don't know, I can't even read or understand any of this." He frowned.

Ginyu moved his gaze, taking a second to think, then raising his index finger as an answer formed in his mind. "Don't worry, kid, I gotcha." He patted Gohan on the back, then moved his gaze to the Ice Cream Vendor. "The kid will have double space dust!"

"Captain! Woah! What're you thinking! He's just a kid!" Jeice pointed out. "You can't give a kid that much ice cream!"

Captain Ginyu slapped his forehead. "Ah! You're right, Jeice! How could I've forgotten!" He replied. He turned to face the Vendor in front of him. "Sorry, make that one scoop for the kid!" The vendor shrugged and nodded in response.

Gohan scowled at Jeice. "I would've been fine!" He huffed. Jeice laughed in response.

"Space dust? That's kinda basic Captain, you're gonna treat the kid to good Ice Cream and give him the most basic flavor in the world?" Burter pointed out.

"Exactly! Who doesn't love Space Dust! It's basic but it's good!" Captain Ginyu grinned. "It's perfect." A short minute later the Vendor scooped out each order keeping the cones in a glass cryochamber. Captain Ginyu pulled out a small chip from his hand and placed it on a pad nearby.

The pad showed a red light moving up and down as it scanned the small chip then turned green once it stopped. The cryo chambers' hatch opened after Ginyu grabbed his chip and each of them grabbed their cones, except Gohan who's cone was given to him from Ginyu.

"Thank you, Sir." Gohan said. He examined it for a second, before taking a bit. Surprisingly it tasted almost like Vanilla, but there was something else like a spice of some kind, perhaps nutmeg? Gohan had no idea exactly what it was but he enjoyed every bite of it.

Thirty minutes later…

A ship landed quickly on the docking station of the planet, this pod being Raditz's, lifting himself out of the pod after the hatch opened. His face showed irritation and exhaustion as he looked down to the town below.

"I cannot believe this brat." Raditz growled. "He's gonna get us in so much trouble! Clearly, I cannot leave nor ditch him anywhere!" He sighed heavily and flew down to the town, his device quickly picking up a biosignature. "Here we go…"

As Raditz turned around the corner, he saw what he'd feared, the whole Ginyu gang was there with Gohan. Raditz took a deep inhale and then exhaled as he walked forward, keeping his posture straight.

"Captain!" Raditz shouted as he got closer. Immediately, as Gohan turned his face, he panicked.

"T-T-That's the guy who tried to hurt me and kidnapped me!" Gohan shivered, he hid behind Captain Ginyu, hoping he'd keep Raditz from him.

Captain Ginyu raised a brow. "So this kid does belong to you after all?" He asked.

Raditz nodded. "Yes, I apologize for the inconvenience." He made a respectful bow. "I'll take him out of your hands quickly." He moved closer and Gohan became more frightened when Ginyu blocked Raditz.

"Now hold on a second." Ginyu said. "We need to clear some things up. First off, where did this kid even come from?" His eyes glanced at Gohan and back. "And don't try lying to me, I know he's a Saiyan!"

Raditz froze and cursed himself. "Damn it!" He thought. "The kid is my nephew."

Ginyu gave a curious look. "Nephew? I didn't realize you had a nephew."

Raditz sighed heavily and nodded. "Neither did I until a recent mission."

Ginyu crossed his arms. "I was aware that you, Nappa, and Prince Vegeta were the only three Saiyans left." He said. "Are you telling me there are more?"

Raditz shook his head. "Not anymore. I had a brother and I wasn't sure he had survived." He explained. "Vegeta requested that I'd check to see if he was alive and if so, to fetch him. The mission proved to be rather difficult. My brother suffered a serious blow to his head and was rendered obsolete. So I killed him."

"Killed him? Then why did you take his son?" Ginyu questioned.

Raditz's gaze moved to Gohan then back to Ginyu. "The child proved to be a potential improvement to our team." He answered.

Ginyu rubbed his chin as he looked at Gohan. "So the kid has some power in him? Interesting." He looked back at Raditz. "Then perhaps you mind telling me what's he doing here out of your custody."

"The child DID prove to be a great potential until I actually tried working with him, results found him to be useless." Raditz said. "I now realize he's worthless and a waste of our time. I think I'll make either a slave out of him or kill him."

Gohan tensed up and his eyes widened, he couldn't believe he just heard that. "Kill me?!" Gohan started to think about running again. It almost seemed like the five weren't gonna keep him around, but surely after what had happened they wouldn't return him to Raditz, would they?"

"Have you even told Lord Frieza yet? You know the severity of such a crime, so why?" Jeice asked.

"We did not think the boy would survive the encounter with Frieza." Raditz pointed out. "You know what happens to everyone who meets Lord Frieza for the first time. If he didn't survive, our efforts would've been wasted." His eyes moved again to Gohan. "Course…it appears they were wasted anyway."

Ginyu looked at Raditz with suspicion. "Let me make sure I got this right. You knew there was a chance of another Saiyan out there, had information on where he might be, and did not tell Lord Frieza?" Ginyu said. "And! To top it off, you took a secret mission to go and get him, only to come back with his kid?"

Raditz nodded. "We did not think it was worth Lord Frieza's time. Had we told him the mission would've been no different from the way it is now." He suggested. "My brother, Kakarot's power wasn't even at least a level of one thousand, let alone five hundred."

"A bit odd you would go through all that trouble for such a small power level that could've ended up not being there." Burter looked at him with mistrust. "What is it you're really hiding?"

"I swear there's nothing else. We needed extra help for one of our bigger purges." Raditz answered. "We figured if needed we could catch Kakarot up to speed and perhaps have him transform to clean it, but we were proven wrong. Besides, he had no tail." His eyes moved back to Gohan. "Please, let me be on my way and take the brat out of your hands."

Ginyu adjusted his posture. "Hold it. I'm unsure if I want to let you take him back." He replied. "Considering this recent irresponsible act, I'm also considering taking him for myself." The other four Ginyus looked at their Captain with confusion and shock. "Had you been more responsible, we wouldn't be in this situation."

Raditz swallowed. "You know you can't do that. It's against the Frieza Force rules, he's at least half-saiyan, so he sticks with the rest of us Saiyans." He moved his gaze back to Gohan's position. "Wait…where did he go?

Captain Ginyu and the other three moved their gaze to where Gohan was, quickly noticing his disappearance as well. "Crap!" A trickle of sweat fell from Captain Ginyu's head.

"He was just there!" Jeice gasped.

Guldo whipped his head around. "He's just some brat, he couldn't have go-."

"Found him running off." Burter said as he walked back to the others. He held Gohan by the back of his armor. "Unluckily for him, I am the fastest there is." His eyes moved to Gohan as he smirked. "Nobody can escape me.

Ginyu smiled. "Great Job, Burter! We can always count on you."

Burter tossed Gohan over to Raditz as he walked by. "Take him." He turned to face Raditz. "But if we catch him out of your hands again…well.. Let's just leave it at that."

Raditz gave a slight bow. "Of course! It won't happen again!"

Gohan tried to struggle from Raditz's grip but failed to. "Please! Please don't leave me with him!" He shouted. "You guys can't leave me with him! He's mean and a jerk!"

Ginyu shrugged. "Sorry kid, rules are rules."

Gohan frowned. "Please! I'll do anything you guys want! I can help you with your poses!"

"As much as I love your critique on our poses, it's out of my hands." Ginyu answered. "But..if we ever meet again, know that the Ginyu Force will be happy to hang out or treat ya!"

Gohan tried to struggle again from Raditz's grip but Raditz was not gonna take this crap from him and knocked him out with a quick chop. He floated up and flew off to the docking station where he put Gohan in the pod next to his, then got into a pod of his own.
