I don't own Avatar: The Last Airbender.

It was a warm day in Ba Sing Se. The Hundred Years' War ended about two weeks ago. Sokka was sitting in the courtyard of the "Jasmine Dragon" Tearoom, sharpening his new boomerang, which Toph had been so nice to make instead of the boomerang he'd lost during the destruction of the airships on the Day of Sozin's Comet. He was unbearably bored. Suki and Katara went shopping to buy dresses for the upcoming ball. Toph went off somewhere without saying where. Zuko was helping his uncle at the tearoom, as it was a day off from meetings. Aang said he was going to meditate, then disappeared from the warrior's sight. In a way, Sokka was glad that he couldn't see it, since he needed a break from it. Well, not from him, but from Katara and Aang… After their "grand kiss", they became too obsessively cute with each other. No, he was happy for them, but to be honest, it was very annoying. Their "Oogi" was too frequent. Even he and Suki weren't like that. But they were older!

At that very moment, Aang, who was so happy, walked past the doorway to the courtyard. At first, the warrior was puzzled, but then everything fell into place.

- Hi, Honey, - Katara said.

- Hi, Honey, - the Avatar replied.

Even without seeing the couple, the warrior was sure that they had embraced and then kissed. As a warning, he made an "Ew" face. The Southern Water Tribe guy looked towards the passage and saw exactly what he didn't want to see. The Airbender was kissing his sister, his hands stroking her back. They weren't too low, but still the warrior exploded.

- Aang! - Sokka shouted. - Come here!

The avatar looked at the warrior slightly displeased, but kissed the girl on the cheek, then walked over to him, smiling slightly nervously.

- Hey, Sokka! - he said.

- Hey, Aang, - the warrior said back, - Look, I know you and Katara love each other, but please, I'm too young.

- Young? For what? - The Avatar asked. – We're just kissing! We love each other!

- Ahhhh... - Sokka groaned to himself. - Aang... Has anyone given you the talk? - Sokka asked.

- Well, we're talking now, aren't we? - the boy asked, scratching his head, clearly not understanding.

Sokka was scared, to put it mildly. He did not think that no one gave Aang the talk, although it was possible to guess, because he was raised by monks. The warrior's eyes searched around, trying to find a way to escape before he started asking questions.

Luckily for him, Zuko was passing by the passageway, so he shouted, - Zuko! Come here!

The Fire Lord grumbled something, but still walked over to them.

- What did you want, Sokka? - Firebender asked.

- Umm… You see, Aang needs the talk, - the warrior said.

- What? - Zuko exclaimed, looking at Sokka with dumbfounded eyes. – I won't talk to him! Katara is his girlfriend, let her talk to him!

- How do you see it? - Sokka asked. – How will Katara talk to Aang about sex? They're a couple.

- Sex? What's that? - the Avatar asked. - And why can't I talk to Katara about it? We always talk. Or is it something offensive?

Zuko's response was to look with even more dumbfounded eyes at the warrior, who groaned in frustration and covered his face with his hands, saying to himself: "Why did I come here at all?". Sokka took a deep breath and looked at the firebender.

- OK. Let's tell him together, - he said.

- I don't need to be here at all! - Zuko protested.

- I'm asking you as a friend, - Sokka pleaded, folding his hands. – I can't do this alone.

- Ahhhh... okay, you talked me into it, - the firebender conceded. – I'm not needed in the tearoom anymore for today anyway.

- So, are you going to tell me something? - Aang asked, tired of not understanding.

- Yes, - Zuko groaned, then turned to the Avatar. – To begin with, let's start with the fact that girls and boys have different body structures...

It was already evening, but the boys were still sitting in the courtyard, giving a lecture to the airbender.

- ... That's how it is... - Sokka finished, scratching his head.

- Yes, - Zuko said, grinning uncomfortably.

Aang sat very pale. His mouth was open, his eyes wide. His brain was having a hard time accepting this all-too-new and intimate information. It was a mixture of fear and confusion, though there was room for a little interest. It was as if he had forgotten to breathe at all, and his muscles were frozen. When he thought about how he would be able to learn something new, he didn't think it would be so... disgusting. He still couldn't believe what he was hearing but judging from the tone of his friends ' voices, it wasn't some well-planned joke.

- Buddy, tell us something, - Sokka said when the Avatar was silent for too long.

- I think he needs more time, - Zuko said. - Let's leave him for now, he needs time.

With that, Sokka and Zuko got up and walked towards the tearoom. They entered the house and went to the living room, where they found everyone eating dinner. They took their plates and sat down to help themselves to food.

- I saw you were with Aang, - Katara said. - Where is he?

The Warrior and the Fire Lord looked at each other, unsure whether to share the situation.

- Umm… We talked to Aang, - Sokka said.

- And? - the girl asked.

- Well... I mean, we talked, - Zuko said.

The waterbender's eyes widened, either from fear or something else, as she realized what they were talking about. Toph fell off her chair and burst out laughing, even Suki couldn't help but smile, but Katara didn't see anything good.

"How will he look at me now? And would he look at me? If this conversation had pushed him away from me? If he doesn't want to be together anymore...? If he doesn't want me anymore? So, stop… Where did this come from? We're too young for this! But still… What if our relationship falters...? "

- Why did you do that? - Katara asked angrily.

- I don't have anything to do with it! - Zuko said quickly. – He called for my help!

- Gee, thanks, - Sokka said sarcastically, then turned to the waterbender. – Actually, I got into it by accident. I was just trying to make a joke, but it turned out that he didn't know...

- Poor Twinkletoes... hahaha...- gasped Toph, - Our poor monk...haha... won't go anywhere near Katara now...

— This isn't funny! - Waterbender exclaimed, frowning.

- On the contrary, it is very funny… Stop, he's up and coming this way, - the blind girl interrupted.

Everyone turned their heads towards the entrance to the living room, waiting in anticipation to see what would happen next. But time passed and no one came in.

- Well... he went up to his room, - Toph said when it became clear that he wasn't coming here.

- I'll... I'll get him dinner, - Katara said, then she helped herself to a bowl of rice and went to the door.

- I won't let you near him! - Sokka exclaimed, ready to stop her. - How do you know what's in his head now?

- Listen to me, Sokka, - the waterbender spun around, annoyed. – It's your fault that Aang is acting like this in the first place. I'll go and help him - "I really don't know how yet" - and if you ever give him that talk again, I'll freeze everything below your waist. Do you understand me?

Sokka could only nod, trembling with fear.

Katara then turned around and left the living room to go to her boyfriend's room, wondering what she could say to him as she went.

- Aang? - She called, opening the door a crack. - Honey?

- K-Katara? - The Avatar's soft voice was heard.

The girl went into the room but couldn't find him. She set her plate on the bedside table.

- Honey, where are you? - Katara asked, looking around the room again.

In response, she heard the closet door creak and looked back. Aang came out of the closet, looking very pale, and he wasn't looking at her.

- What were you doing in the closet? - The girl asked, taking a step closer.

- Katara, stay where you are, - the boy said, holding out his hands protectively. – I ... I wanted to think...

- Think about it? - she asked but stopped in her tracks.

- What I was told, to be honest, threw me into shock… I... I'm afraid...

- Me? - Katara asked, slightly offended.

- No! I'm not afraid of you, - Aang said quickly. I love you! Just ... ah… I'm confused... - The boy, feeling a little better, made up his mind and walked over to the bed and sat down on it. – I have so much on my mind...

Katara walked over to him and sat down next to him, then carefully placed her hand on him, worried that her boyfriend would pull away. But he didn't.

- If you think I'm going to push you, then no, I won't, - the waterbender promised. – We're too young for that anyway.

- Young? - Aang asked, looking at her with wide eyes.

- Of course, - Katara said. – You didn't think we'd be doing this now, did you? ... Wait a minute… Did Sokka tell you when they start doing this?

- No, - the Avatar said. - He just talked about... this.

- Ah, - the girl realized. - Don't worry, Honey. They start doing this when people are old enough. This is not going to happen any time soon.

- Really? - The airbender asked hopefully, making Katara want to giggle.

- Yes, - she said, then opened her arms. - Come here.

Without waiting for another invitation, Aang threw himself into his girlfriend's arms. He buried his face in her shoulder, inhaling her scent. In response, Katara patted him on the back.

- Were you that worried about it? - the girl asked.

- Yes, - the boy admitted. – We've only just started dating, and all of a sudden Sokka is throwing all this information at me… I panicked because I wasn't ready for this... part of me was afraid that you might think I wasn't right for you...

- Oh, Honey, - Katara whispered, kissing Aang's forehead. – I will always love you, and nothing will change that.

- I love you too, Katara, - he said softly, yawning.

- I think you're tired of all this talk, - the girl said. - Get some sleep.

The Avatar nodded, then they lay down together on the bed. He left his head in the space between her shoulder and neck, still holding her. Soon, his breathing slowed down.

Katara continued to stroke his back, his breath making her skin crawl. Even though they were young, a part of her, was definitely, waiting for things to develop... but she was happy with what they had right now. And she didn't want to rush anywhere.
