Hello Readers: And welcome to some new chapters. I hope that you guys have been enjoying my twist on the show so far, as I am more than ready to give you some more content right now. So, what do you say I do just that. Here we go with more of Season 1.

Pilot, Part 6

He always treated her as his queen whenever they made love, both while they were making love and afterwards; just like he was in the midst of doing right now as they continued to hold each other close in bed. God, the way they cuddled and snuggled up to one another after making love was always perfect, which is precisely how Gabby can describe the feeling of love and devotion that her husband was showing her right now as he held her against his chest; while also running his hand up and down her arm as a way to make her feel happy. And if Matt wanted to make sure she was happy right now, then he was doing a great job. Such a great job, that Gabby didn't even have to tell her husband that she was happy right now; he just knew it based on her body language. Though, that didn't mean that Matt didn't want to confirm it as he ran his hand up and down her arm in a way that Gabby could only describe as a way to show her just how loved and respected she is by this man. "You comfortable here, as you lay down in my arms?"

Smiling as she leaned back and moved her hands to Matt's face, Gabby nodded as she's extremely happy at the moment. She's happy because he always makes her happy. "I'm always happy when we're together in moments like this." She said, prior to leaning in and kissing the man of her dreams softly. "You're the man I love, and the only man that I can be happy with when I'm naked in bed." Matt just looked at his wife as she said that. "Correction: I'm the only man you're ALLOWED to be naked in bed with." Gabby smirked, agreeing with Matt as that's precisely what she wants right now: to be naked in bed with the man of her dreams. "Baby, why are you being so jealous right now? It's just the two of us, naked in our bed after we've made love to each other." Matt agreed with his gorgeous wife, well aware that was the case. "I know, it's stupid." Gabby agreed with Matt once more, as it most certainly is stupid. He has no reason to be jealous, because he's the only man she'll ever want to be naked in bed with. "Matt, you're my husband."

Matt agreed with Gabby. "And that means that you're the man I've chosen to spend the rest of my life with. Not just now, but forever. I meant my vows and will always mean my vows. We're forever, and that's serious for me." Matt agreed with his gorgeous wife, well aware that was the case as he wrapped his arm around her back and pressed his lips to her forehead; only to lean his forehead against his shortly afterwards to make sure that they continued to be intimate and calm with each other. After all, he loves the feeling he's getting with Gabby right now. The feeling of her body right against his as they held each other close and just took it nice and easy with each other in the comfort of their bed. "God, I am such a lucky man to have you in my life. And I hope you know that." Gabby agreed with her husband, as she most certainly does know that he's a lucky man to be her husband. "And that's why you don't need to be jealous, because you're my lucky man. A lucky man who gets his hands all over my body all over our home." Matt smiled and agreed.

After all, that most certainly is the truth. He always gets to run his hands all over Gabby's body whenever he wants due to the fact that she absolutely loves it when they're all cuddled up to each other. And right now, that's precisely what they are. They're cuddled up to each other in bed, and he's sure that this isn't the only place that they're going to be cuddling up to each other this morning. I mean, he does know Gabby…which means that he knows that they aren't going to be in bed for long, as much as he hates that. "You know, I really hate it when you force me out of bed." Gabby looked into Matt's eyes when he said that, a bit confused. "And who said anything about me forcing you out of bed?" Matt smiled. "Last time I checked, a certain someone made a request for how I was going to wash her today." Gabby smiled as Matt said that, before wrapping her arms around his neck as a way to (a) get closer to her husband, and (b) tease him some more by pressing her breasts against his muscular chest. "I thought you were the one that wanted that."

Wrapping his arms around Gabby's back to bring her body right against his, Matt smirked as he agreed with his wife as he most certainly is the one that wants to get in the bath with his wife. "You know that our baths always get me to relax and take it easy, regardless of how small that bath is." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt tell her that, only to slip her legs in between his once more as she started to take things nice and slow with the man of her dreams. The man she loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you Matt, and I hope you know that this is the life I've always wanted." Matt agreed with Gabby, as he most certainly did know that. "Hey, and I never doubted that for a second. I know how much we both love and cherish this life with each other, which is why I want to make you happy in whatever way I can. Now, have I done that?" Gabby agreed with Matt, as he most certainly has (and always will) make her the happiest woman in the entire world. "You have and always will, simply because I love you." Matt agreed as he smiled.

After which, he moved one of his hands to her back and rolled over so that he could lay Gabby down on her back. After which, he hovered over her as he placed his hand on her body and just smiled as he bent down and kissed his gorgeous wife softly; all the while, Gabby kept her arms wrapped around his neck as a way to make sure that they stayed close to each other as well. "I love you so much Matt." Matt agreed with his gorgeous wife, just taking things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams. "I love you too, Gabby. And I promise you this, I am not going to go far right now. Right now, I know you just want to take it nice and easy." Gabby agreed with Matt, as that's precisely what she wants to do at the moment. However, she doesn't want to do that here. "I'd rather do it somewhere else, if we're being completely honest." Matt agreed with his wife, well aware she was talking about their bath. "I know, you want to take a bath with me. If you want, I can go run it for us." Gabby smiled as she agreed with her gorgeous husband.

Placing her hands on his face, she leaned in and kissed him softly. "Would you?" Matt nodded as he kissed Gabby softly once more. "I'll do that for us. Come see me when you're ready to take our bath." Matt said, giving his gorgeous wife one last kiss as they held each other close in bed. After which, he rolled over and proceeded to grab the towel that he kept on the hook neck to his bed; wrapping it around his waist immediately, Matt turned Gabby on as it was such a tease. "God, I hope you know just how much of a turn on you truly are." Turning around after tying his towel, Matt smirked as he turned he looked at Gabby. "I can say the same thing about you when you're naked in our bed." Gabby agreed with Matt as she slipped over in their bed, only to lay down on his side. After which, Matt placed his hand on her body as he leaned over her and kissed her softly. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt, as she loves him too. "I love you too, forever." Matt agreed, smirking as he stood up and walked away to his dresser.

While doing so, he heard Gabby mention something. "You know, you may get a bit more sex if you decide to just wear your boxers around the house." Turning his head as he reached for his dresser drawer prior to opening it, Matt smirked as he had plans on doing just that. "Maybe with a shirt to get you to relax? I know you took a nap, but we both know that you still need to talk to me about what's going on with that complaint." Gabby sighed. "I already told you everything Matt, I promise." Matt agreed with Gabby, as he just knew that was the case as he looked at her. "I love you and support you, I hope you know that." Gabby agreed with her husband, as she knew that more than anything in the entire world. "I never had any doubts that you loved and supported me through it. Now, how about you go run that bath for us?" Matt agreed with his wife as he walked into their bathroom with his boxers so that he can go run them a bath. Meanwhile, Gabby just laid back and took a breath as she thought about her husband, the man of her dreams.

He's truly the best man in the entire world and she feels so lucky to have him as her husband, which is why she can't wait to make him a father; they just aren't ready for that yet, which is why she's glad Matt isn't ready for a baby yet. She knows that he wants to be a dad more than anything, but not yet. Maybe in a year or two. Right now, it's just time for them to have some fun with each other. And some of that fun will most certainly take place in their bath: the one that they plan on taking with each other, while Matt runs his hands all over her body as he washes her. That has to be Gabby's favorite part of taking baths with the man of her dreams…the feeling of his strong hands on her body as he makes her relax. And that's why Gabby didn't waste any time getting up and grabbing her own towel, as she wants to make her way into the washroom and cuddle up to her husband once more. But this time, she wants to do it either next to their bath, or when they're in the bath. But, luckily for her, she's going to get to do both as the bath isn't ready yet.

The feeling of Matt's strong arm as he wrapped it around her waist while they held each other close in their bathroom was truly one of the best feelings in the entire world, because of how happy it made Gabby, while also making her feel very safe and calm. Just being near her dreamy husband makes her feel calm, which is precisely why she loves spending her days with him. She could never go a day without spending time with Matt because of how much she truly loves him…and loves kissing him. The way those smooth lips of his feel against her skin, or her lips (preferably) is always so magical and can very easily put a smile on her face. And that's precisely what they were doing right now as they took things nice and slow with each other ahead of them taking a nice bath with each other. A bath which they were both going to enjoy, as they already knew that it'll make them both relax right away. "God, this bath is what we need." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife, well aware that this is what they need to do with each other right now: relax together.

They need to hold each other close, take it easy, and just concentrate on what matters most at the end of the day: the fact that they love each other and want to be with each other more than anything in the entire world.

That's something that the two of them only realized when they finally got together, when Matt got his act together. "Yeah, I think you need it the most. I didn't want to say anything while we were in bed, but I can feel the tension in your back. You seem the be really stressed out about those problems you may have. The HYPOTHETICAL problems you might have." Matt said, emphasizing the fact that the problems Gabby may have been a reality yet, as the Paramedic Field Chief hasn't come down on her yet. "Just remember babe, nothing's happened yet with Hatcher, which means that you're still in the clear." Gabby agreed with her husband, well aware that was the case. "You know my record though, doesn't take long for me to get in trouble." Matt agreed with his wife as he wrapped his arm around her waist even tighter to bring her body against his chest once more. "However, you also have me in your corner. A Captain. Your husband to support you." Gabby agreed with Matt, well aware that having a Captain as a husband can help her out.

Though, she is a bit hesitant to use her connection to him. "I'm just weary of using the connection. Matt, what if this taints…" Stopping his wife, Matt placed his hand on her neck and his thumb on her lips. "Hey, look into my eyes." Gabby agreed with Matt, doing just that for the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. "You're my wife, I love you more than anything in the entire world, and my vows that I made to you as your husband trump my job as a Captain. Yes, I may be a Captain in the CFD and responsible for enforcing the rules and regulations at the firehouse for all the people who work there; but, I didn't pledge my love and loyalty to the CFD. That's a pledge I made to you as your husband, which means that you get my support first. Got that?" Gabby agreed with her husband, well aware that was the case as she got close to him and hugged him; while Matt placed his hands on her back and smiled as he held her close. "Plus, your brother would kill me if I ever supported the CFD ahead of you in any disciplinary matters."

Laughing, Gabby leaned back as she looked at the man she loves since that most certainly is the truth. There was no way in hell that Matt would ever get away with not supporting her in any case against her that the CFD brings, which is why she loves him so much. He knows the right thing to do right again, but he does it because he loves it; not just because he's scared of her brother. "I know that you do it because you love me first and foremost though." Matt agreed with Gabby as he brought her against his chest, as that most certainly is the truth, which he showed her by kissing her softly and just taking things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt, as she loves him too. And she'll always love him due to the fact that he's the best man in the entire world: the only man she could ever love. "I hope you know this is forever." Matt agreed with his wife, well aware that their life with each other is forever, which is why he's always so happy with her…because he knows that they're forever. She'll always be his.

But right now, she's going to be his in the bath since it was more than ready for them to get in. "So, I'm looking at the bath here, and it seems to be ready." Gabby agreed with Matt, as it did seem to be ready, which means that she needs to let him go so that he can get in, not that she wants to do that. "But I'm comfortable with my arm around you and cuddling up to you like this." Smirking, Matt agreed with Gabby as he wrapped his arm around her waist and kissed her softly. "Believe me, you'll be even more comfortable when we cuddle up to each other in the bath." Gabby agreed with Matt, smiling as she already knew that was the truth. "Ok. Then, you get in the bath so that I can get comfortable with you." Matt smirked. "Can I take this off first?" He said, while unwrapping his arm from around her waist and tugging her towel. "You may." Matt agreed, smirking as he proceeded to take off her towel and hanging it up on the hooks. And damn, did he love the sight of his naked wife standing right in front of him. "Damn, so sexy." Gabby smiled.

After all, she knew that he found her sexy and that he'll always find her sexy; especially since he's biased. "You're biased." Wrapping his arm around her waist, Matt brought his wife's gorgeous body against his and smirked as he leaned in and kissed her softly. "Doesn't make it any less true." Reaching down, Gabby smirked as she grabbed Matt's towel as she wanted to take it off for him. And that's precisely what Gabby did, she took off her husband's towel prior to going to hang it up with hers. "Now, we're both even and just as naked as each other. And that means that you need to sit your ass down so that I can get comfortable with you." Matt agreed with Gabby, well aware that it was time for him to get comfortable in the bath. So, he went ahead and got into the bath ahead of his gorgeous wife so that he could get comfortable, while also looking up at her and just admiring her in all her nakedness. "God, you are so damn sexy when you're naked." Gabby smiled as she agreed with Matt, well aware that he likes it when she's naked.

However, that didn't mean that she liked standing here, butt naked right outside the bath; not when she'd much rather be in the bath with him. So, she stepped into the bath with him and just smirked as she leaned over him and placed her hands on his face. "I know you want to see that, but I want to be in the bath with you so that you can give me a massage and make me relax." She said, while kissing Matt softly. Meanwhile, Matt reached up and placed his hand on her neck. "And I plan on doing just that for you, as I know it's what you need me to do right now." Gabby agreed with Matt, well aware that was the case. So, she turned around and proceeded to sit down in the bath in between his legs, just like she always does when she wants to get comfortable with her husband in the bath. And let's just say that it was absolutely perfect, simply due to the fact that it was precisely how Matt wanted to hold her in his arms right now: in between his legs, with her gorgeous body leaning against his chest while they cuddled up to one another in the bath.

He could already tell that them being in the bath was working, simply due to the fact that Gabby's heartrate was much lower than it was in bed. Then again, it may also be due to the fact that she just loves it when they take a nice bath with each other. It's always so soothing for Gabby, which is why he loves to take them with her: because it makes Gabby relax. Much more than when they're in the bath. And even better, he gets to be naked in warm water even when it's cold outside. And right now, as they both looked out upon Lake Michigan from the comfort of their bath, they were just at peace and so calm with each other; something Gabby always needs when she comes home from shift due to the fact that she's always stressed out because of her job. Hell, they're both always stressed out due to their jobs as they work in high stress environments on a day basis. But, now, they were home and just taking it easy in the comfort of their bath. "You have no idea how nice this is. Us holding each other like this, while you rub my back." Matt agreed.

After which, he turned his head and pressed his lips to her forehead. "I know, it calms you right down and makes you feel so much better than you did the day before." Gabby agreed with her husband, as that most certainly is the truth. And that's precisely why she just looked up at Matt and smiled at the man of her dreams. "I hope you know that I couldn't face this without you." Wrapping his arm around Gabby's back, Matt shook his head as that was a lie. "You're the strongest, bravest, toughest woman I know Gabby. You know that's a lie, because I know it's a lie." Gabby agreed with her husband, while letting out a sigh. "I just feel sometimes that the world doesn't want to let me succeed. They're stacked against me and hate the fact that I like to push the system to work better." Matt agreed, as he knows that's precisely what the CFD always does. "That doesn't mean that you can't do it alone. I mean, why do you think you're in trouble in the first place? It's because they hate that they didn't think of the idea first." Gabby smiled.

After all, Matt was probably right. "You're probably right." Matt nodded as he wrapped his legs around Gabby's once more, ensuring that she just takes it easy with him right now. "Gabby, I love you and I'm here to support you. You know that, because there's nothing more important to me in life than you and our marriage. You're my family, and you'll always be my family." Gabby agreed with Matt, as she loves the sound of him saying that. "And I love the idea of me always being your family, as I want to be your wife until the day I die." Moving his hand to Gabby's neck, Matt smiled as he agreed with her. After which, he bent down and smirked as he started to take things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams once more. "I love you Gabby, now and forever." Gabby agreed with Matt, well aware that was the truth as she ran her hand up his muscular chest and just cuddled up to him. And let's just say that it was perfect. The feeling of holding each other in the bath is always perfect, as it's a very sexy way of enjoying quiet, intimate time with each other.

To say that Matt and Gabby both enjoyed the bath they just took with each other was an understatement, as Matt and Gabby always like taking baths with each other; it's why they do it in the first place. But now, it was time for the two of them to relax and take it easy; well, at least for Gabby. After all, Matt has a bit of work to do; work which he's already started in his den apparently, as he was nowhere to be found when Gabby came out of the bathroom in her lingerie. So, she decided that he obviously didn't want to see the lingerie she was wearing and just came downstairs in her own sweats to find him in the office. "I see you didn't want to see me in lingerie when I came out of the bath." Looking up at his wife, Matt smiled. "I was worried to do so." Confused, Gabby tilted her head to the side to try and get more information from Matt, which he promptly gave her. "I though I'd want to have you in bed, when I need to get some work done." Gabby agreed with her husband, prior to making her way over to him in his office.

After which, she smiled as she pushed his chair back and decided to join him in his lap. Meanwhile, Matt wrapped his arms around her waist and just smiled as he was very happy with her in his lap. "God, you're so sexy." Placing her hands on Matt's face, Gabby smiled as she knew that was the truth. "I know." Matt laughed as he heard Gabby say that, prior to leaning her forehead against his as they both held each other close. Meanwhile, Matt ran his hands up her back and just smirked because of how happy he is at the moment. "I hope you know that the last thing I want to do right now is work. I would much rather be with you, holding you and taking it easy with you. I just want to get this done, so that it's out of the way and I no longer need to concentrate on it." Placing her hands on Matt's chest, Gabby agreed as she knows that's why he wants to do it. "Hey, I know that baby. I know that you want to just get it done and over with. You have no need to tell me that." Matt agreed with Gabby as he smiled at his gorgeous wife, only to kiss her softly.

I mean, how can he not kiss his wife when he's so happy. "You're the best." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that she was the best, even though she already knew that. "You need a snack or something?" Matt shook his head, as he didn't feel like he needed one yet. "I think I'm good for now. I just need to get these reports done. Shouldn't take me more than an hour." Gabby agreed as she looked at the time. "God, is it already eleven?" Matt agreed. "Yeah. That's why I said an hour. If I'm done in an hour, we can have lunch together. Or, we can go out. You can pick what you want to do." Gabby smiled at Matt. After all, she loves going on dates with her husband. "I think you need to rest, so raincheck on the date?" Matt agreed, as he most certainly can (and will) collect a raincheck on the date at another time. So, he leaned in and kissed the woman he loves. "Deal." Gabby smirked as she got up out of his lap. After which, she turned around and walked away; but not before Matt reached down, grabbed her butt, and squeezed it.

In the process, he caused her to jump and turn around. "MATTHEW!" Matt smirked as Gabby said that. "Oh, calm down. You know you like it when I do that." Gabby agreed with her husband, well aware that was the case. "Yes, because it teases me and turns me on. See you in a bit, okay?" Matt agreed with his wife as she walked away, more than ready to get this work done.

Matt's Thoughts:
As Gabby walked away to go take it easy somewhere else in the house, I let out a sigh due to the fact that this is going to be hard. Right now, I have a report due from the events that caused Otis' death. And that's just going to be hard to write. I always find these reports hard to write, due to the fact that they're so complicated. I need to account for as much information as I can, while also proving that I did everything I could to ensure that my men were safe. That I did everything in my power to make sure that Otis didn't need to die for no reason. Rather, I needed to make it so that he could've survived had I just tried harder. And while it is crazy, that's how I feel at times. If I had just done one thing differently that day, then maybe one of my friends wouldn't have died. One of my men wouldn't have died and a family wouldn't have lost a valued member of their family. However, that's precisely what ended up happening. A family lost one of their own, and we lost a member of our family as well. And the truth is, I take that seriously.

I take the fact that another firefighter died on my watch seriously, because it should never happen. I should know what I'm doing. But, on that day, it seems like I didn't know what I was doing as a man died that day. So, here I am, having to fill out my least favorite report. A report on the death of one of the firefighters at the house. One that I was going to have to submit to Boden next shift. And let's just say that I just hope that next shift is much easier than yesterday's shift. Hey, at least it won't be my candidate's first shift. I always find those ones harder due to the fact that I need to make them part of the team quickly. But, it worked out okay yesterday and I'm just glad that everything is perfect. Now, just to make sure that these reports are perfect so that I can submit them to Boden and get some time with Gabby. Time where we can both relax and just take it easy with each other here in the comfort of our home.
