Reha looked out over the forest. It had been a day since the attack and Kento waking up. The document still troubled her. Saran is cold hearted and vicious. He will not attack so openly. Reha thought as she watched Sage and Cye spar. She felt someone coming up behind her and turned to see Alexi, arm in a sling, walking behind her
"So, Saran is one of the minions we'll face? That's unusual. He only wanted power." Alexi said. Reha sighed.
"Yes. He probably made a contract that states he gets the power if he completes his mission. Sarenbo saved him once but is not here to save him again. I will deal with Saran when he attacks." Reha said. Alexi looked at her. Her eyes held a fiery stare. He knew that Saran had committed a great many bad deeds but Reha seemed to be more passionate about his defeat. Alexi knew his leader wouldn't tell them anything unless necessary
"Reha?" A voice called. Ryo walked out and joined them.
"How are you this morning, Alexi?" Ryo asked.
"Shoulder is healing. Should be healed in a few more days." Alexi said. Ryo smiled. He had gotten over the possession and was working with the others. Mia was still asleep. Suddenly, a boom came from the forest. The group stood up quickly. A dark mist began to form soldiers.
"What?" Ryo said. These were not soldiers of the dynasty. Reha was immediately on guard.
"Thesen are soldiers of chance if you will. They've sold their souls for power and now have become slaves to the one who controls them." Reha said. The soldiers rushed to attack the Ronins as they formed. Suddenly, five figures appeared in the middle of the fray.
"Well, well, looks like the dark minions are here. Lets take them out." One said. The group nodded. Reha stopped Ryo and the others.
"Watch how to defeat these soldiers as they are from our home world." Reha said. One figure, dressed in purple and silver, cracked a whip and took out two at a time. Another one, dressed in gold and white, was using a mace. One was dressed in iron gray and had an axe. One was dressed in blood red and black and had two circular blades hoops. The last was in all black and used a sword.
"Who are they?" Ryo asked.
"They are our world's Ronins." Reha said. The soldiers were dealt with quickly and the newcomers approached Reha.
"We came as soon as we could, Reha. It seems the dark one has eyes on earth now, huh?" The boy in purple and silver said. Reha smiled and whacked him on the head.
"What was that for?" the boy asked.
"You were supposed to be here yesterday." Reha said. The boy smiled.
"Oops. Hello I'm Kaisa." The boy said holding out his hand to Ryo.
"I'm Ryo." Ryo replied shaking it. Kaisa had Silver hair with a streak of black, silver grey eyes, pale skin and was slender. Ryo immediately liked him. Another boy spoke softly.
"Kaisa? Shouldn't you introduce everyone?" The boy in black said. Kaisa smiled.
"Of course. This is Emile. And the one in red and black is Elio, emile's brother. And the gold and white one is Joaquin, and the one in grey is Aurel. So you're Earth's Ronins?" Kaisa asked. The others had come and introductions were made.
"So, this dark lord sends these things here?" Rowen asked.
"Not much, the souls are released when we destroy them so he has to wait until he has enough. Usually, he sends soliders like the dynasty did." Kaisa said. Elio walked forward.
"But the fact they came here is concerning. The dark Lord is trying to take over Earth and then go after the Nether Realm it seems." Elio said, Elio was a bit taller than the others and had black hair and eyes with tan skin. Emile had the same hair and eyes but his skin was a tinge lighter. Joaquin was blonde haired, blue eyed, and fair skin. Aurel was the biggest of the five but it was all muscle. He had iron grey eyes and brown hair.
"So this dark lord uses souls as Talpa did?" Sage asked.
"Yes. But most of those were souls who sold themselves for power or something else. So when they are released, they often go back to the one they sold the soul to. The kickback is that the soul can't be summoned for about a month after that." Kaisa said.
"Well, thats something." Rowen said. The others nodded.
"Indeed. These poor souls are merely tools." Elio said. Anubis was quiet as he thought.
"Anubis?" Ryo asked.
"The dark lord sends these soldiers now. Why? Why not wait until the dynasty is attacking and overwhelm us?" Anubis asked. The group looked curious as the question was spoken. Rowen spoke after a moment.
"Its like they are playing chess and we are the pieces. One side moves then the other. Both want Earth but neither want an ally." Rowan said.
"Its seems that way."Anubis said. The boys looked at each other.
"If thats the case, we better be on the lookout for sneak attacks from other sources." Kaisa said.
"Yeah. The dynasty freaks are famous for pulling that stunt." Sage commented.
"So is the dark Lord." Joaquin replied dryly. Sage looked at the other blonde boy.
"You use a sword?" Sage asked.
"A rapier blade when I don't wear my armor. I was trained since toddler years." Joaquin said. Sage looked at the blade. It was well cared for and sharp.
"Perhaps you would like to have a sword match with me? I'd like to see how our styles differ and if we could work together." Sage said.
"Of course! None of the guys like to spar with me with swords." Joaquin said.
"Because you kick our asses." Aurel said. Sage and Joaquin went off to spar. Kento tapped Aurel
"I guess we better get back to training too.You guys wanna join?" Kento said.
"Sure." Kaisa said. The others nodded. Soon, the sound of sparring filled the air. Reha walked in
side and upstairs to Mia's room. She was still asleep from the use of the Moon Armor. Lir was guarding the room just in case.
"She is still asleep." Lir commented softly.
"Hm, it seems the armor wore her out more because she used it for the first time." Reha said.
"So the ruckus outside was our Ronins?" Lir asked.
"Yes. Kaisa and the others finally joined." Reha said. Lir nodded. Reha walked downstairs and watched the sparring.
Mia's Mind scape
Mia looked around at the garden. How am I here? She thought.
"Hello, Mia." a voice, calm and serene, spoke. Mia turned to see a man in priest robes and she gasped.
"Ancient One, how?" Mia asked.
"I will tell you that later, Mia, but now I must tell you of your true heritage. The Koji line has always been a line of strong warriors and scholars. The Moon Armor was created apart from the Ronins armor for the purpose to protect the world from evil. Only a woman of the Koji line can wear and use the armor. This was done as a fail safe. You are directly descended from the matron of the Koji line. Your kanji is that of willpower." The Ancient One said.
"Ancient, if I'm the bearer of the Moon Armor, why do the starswords answer to me?" Mia asked.
"The star swords and Moon Armor are one. Only a true Koji can unlock the true power of the star swords." He replied.
"So, you knew when Talpa attacked that I was destined for this?" Mia asked.
"I did not know for certain until I saw how determined you were to help the Ronins. Then I understood. But you must warn the others of the coming trouble. Talpa has found a way to return and will try once again to take the armors." He said. Mia looked at him.
"Ryo almost died last time!" Mia said.
"Talpa is in spirit form only. He can only attack in spirit form. This is also his greatest weakness." Ancient said.
"So, Talpa will try to take the armors again. At least this time, we won't be alone. Ancient, did you know of the other armors?" Mia asked.
"Yes. The High Armors are for the Ronins who unlock the true power of the armors." Ancient said.
"So, once these aemors are awakened, the other armors will be destroyed?" Mia asked.
"No, Like the inferno armor, these armors are a different verison of the Ronin armor." He said. Mia nodded.
"I'll tell the others when I wake up. I hope its in time." Mia said. The Ancient One as Mia began to fade. Mia woke up with a start.
"Mia?" Rowen asked.
"Rowen, gather the others. I have some news." Mia said. Rowen nodded and left the room to gather the others. Mia saw the other boys and was introduced. Ryo spoke first.
"What is the news, Mia?" Ryo asked.
"There's no easy way to say this so I'll just come out with it. While I slept, the Ancient One came to me. He told some very horrible news." Mia said.
"Ok." Sage said.
"Talpa's back"
