The World Has Fallen

Chapter 16

Atlas Wolves Militia Headquarters. Under Denali, Alaska.

"Well damn. This cannot be good," Lupe said as he looked at the reports of the attacks in Kuwait while Fuchs was on the other end with Rosalie behind him. "And this new Valor character is saying that the President of the United States caused all of this."

"Well, he did give us five terabytes of 'evidence.' After going through much of it, I still cannot believe he is the cause of all this." Fuchs admitted. "Valor revealed that he was sent to lead us into a trap that would kill us."

Lupe thought momentarily with his fellow commanders in the CIC of the base, "Who do you trust the most in this f'ed up world right now?" Fuchs looked to Rosalie, but before he could answer, Lupe clarified, "That isn't part of the Nightwatchers."

Fuchs began to think. He never trusted the government; no one ever should. Considering the help and assistance Lupe has given to the Nightwatchers and America and her allies, Fuchs still doesn't trust him. The Arctic fox doesn't count Rocky or Valor as trustworthy, either. One, because they have become the literal spawns of Satan himself, not to mention the enemy they fight are also demons. Two, Valor came out of nowhere, and Rocky didn't know he even existed, or so he says. The only people Fuchs truly trusted were Chase, Rosalie, Everest, himself, and… Morgan. "Morgan." He finally said.

"And why do you trust him? A businessman who just bought the rest of Abstergo and owns Sylvia at this point. A man with a plan that only benefits America and her closest allies, like the UK, France, Germany, Poland, Israel, Japan, Australia, and South Korea." Lupe questioned. He was trying to get a grasp to see if he could even trust the CEO of one of the world's most potent defense and technology companies.

"Because he has given us intel and gear, and his entire plan was sent two hours ago. And I'm sure you can agree. America, as the most powerful and advanced nation on the globe, seems to be the best future for this world we now live in. With the big five being major players and job providers, as the next step is space after this war." Fuchs admitted. "He has plans and ways to cure Rocky of his demon filth. With Syliva, they are developing something that can track the BHC's missiles as they were Syliva's at one point, and she… I'd hate to admit it, but she is much smarter than I give her credit for."

Lupe, along with his commanders, looked at all the 'evidence' that Fuchs sent them. Soon enough, Redstone, Lupe's closest friend and most loyal assassin spoke up in his Russian accent. "Not to insult you Fuchs, but don't you see how this is CGI?"

"I'm sorry?" Fuchs asked.

"What do you mean, Redstone?" Lupe questioned the red fox.

Redstone then took control of the console he had at his seat at the table and showed the commanders, Lupe, and Fuchs, on the major screen, "I'd give it to them. It is perfect and convincing CGI, but I simply remove it." Redstone would filter out the programmed VFX and CGI with a new filter. This would reveal to everyone that not only was the evidence faked, but it wasn't the President but on all the security cameras and taped evidence, it was all edited to make it look like the President but in the end… Slasher and pure demons were behind it, acting as humans. It was him all the time. Committing these crimes causes all this to transpire.

"I knew it," Fuchs said. Behind him, Rosalie's face went whiter than her fur already was, while Everest in the very back seemed to be very heated. Behind her, Chase and Robyn enter the scene and watch the screen as Redstone does this to all the videos, revealing the real threat behind everything.

"I'll send you the original files after scrubbing them of this filth." Redstone notices Chase in the background with a face that could kill everyone on this call.

"We'll leave you guys to deal with the demon brothers," Lupe said, wanting to end the call.

"Thank you, Lupe and Redstone, who have been a big help," Chase said through gritted teeth.

Sylvia's Secret Base

Sylvia and Morgan watched with interest as Deckard sat in a meditative trance. Suddenly, Deckard opened his eyes as the book glowed red, and a large white ball of light shot out before disappearing, revealing Sweetie, who was shocked to find herself alive.

"What did you do?" Asked Sylvia as she helped Deckard onto his paws.

"I made a new deal with the devil that if he grants Sweetie a second chance, I'll do anything he asks of me," said Deckard, "I wanted you back."

"Oh, Decks, I'll always be with you," said Sweetie as she gave Deckard a kiss on the lips.

"So what did you agree to do in order for Sweetie to live again?" Asked Morgan.

"He wants the souls of five individuals and he wants me to return the book back to him in Hell when this is all over," said Deckard.

"What five souls does he particularly want?" Morgan asked, trying to get as much information as possible because he had a feeling in his gut that told him he knew what five souls the devil wanted.

"Three of them are Slasher, Eclipse, and Raven," said Deckard.

"Who's the fourth and fifth?" Asked Sylvia.

"I don't know at the moment," said Deckard.

"What do you mean you don't know?" Asked Sylvia.

"The only thing that he said was that one of them is responsible for the deaths of my teammates, and the other one is not who he claims to be," said Deckard, "Don't worry, I'll find out soon enough, but for now I think I want to get to the part where we get rid of this demonic curse."

"I agree," said Sylvia as she went to a table filled with medical tools and picked up a scalpel. "Let's begin."

Minutes later, Deckard was on an operating table as multiple surgeons took turns in slicing Deckard's body parts open and proceeded to all types of surgical procedures. One of the doctors came over to Morgan and Sylvia to state that when they are finished, Deckard's body will undergo a slight change due to the effects of the demonic serum and any severe past injuries that he may have endured. The doctor then handed two vials of strange glowing liquid, stating that these two vials would cure the demonic entities in Rocky and Valor before leaving.

"How is it that Deckard has to go through this big operation for him to be cured, for we only need to inject Rocky and Valor with this stuff to cure them," Asked Morgan.

"Deckard has two different types of demonic serums put into him, one being the dormant type that Raven and Eclipse used when he was a newborn pup, the other was the unstable version that Jason Cage and Eric Samson used a while back, and when these two versions mixed it created a mess within his body so were trying to fix all the damages," Sylvia explained, "As for Rocky and Valor, they only had the one demonic serum that Raven and Eclipse gave them."

"If I'm going to be completely honest with you, I'll never understand any of this," said Morgan.

"What effects will Deckard mostly suffer from when this is all over," Sweetie asked as she continued to watch Deckard get cut open to be fixed.

"It's hard to tell; we won't know until the operation is over and he wakes up," said Sylvia.

A few hours later, Deckard was finally wheeled out of the operating room into a room where he could rest and recover.

Nightwatchers Base

Danny, Smoke, and Delta were talking to each other when Smokey came over to them. The four of them began discussing some things in quiet voices…

"So what's the plan?" Asked Delta.

"I haven't thought of one yet," said Smokey.

"You're kidding, right?" Asked Danny.

"No, because I really haven't come up with anything," said Smokey.

"Well you better hurry up before they get here and they expect a plan to be ready for when they arrive," said Delta.

"I'm working on it," growled Smokey.

A bright flash caught Smokey's eyes and he saw three figures appear far away, but he knew who they were. An evil smile slowly appeared on Smokey's face, "I think I've found the perfect plan."

Smokey and the others grinned at each other before going their separate ways.

Valor was pacing back and forth with a pissed-off look but kept it hidden. Chase and the Nightwatchers were figuring stuff out way too soon, and it was all thanks to those damn wolves up in Alaska. Of course, Slasher and his parents warn him of Chase, but they forgot to mention that he was a severe pain in the ass. Valor stopped mid-pacing, got that bright idea look on his face, and went off to find Smokey.

Sylvia's Secret Base

Deckard was wide awake, looking at a mirror, looking at his reflection. His fur was short, and he still had white fur on his face, legs, paws, chest, underbelly, and bottom part of his tail. Still, Deckard now had a mesmerizing marbling pattern on the rest of his body, exhibiting a beautiful mixture of white, black, and gray, forming intricate swirls and markings. Black fur was also on the rim of his ears, and short spiky gray fur tufts with black tips were on his head. Deckard's left eye was a hot pink color, while his right eye was dull and gray, with two thin red scars going diagonally across the eye. Deckard's body also stayed slim and curvy, like a female.

"So this is what I look like without any demonic entities… nice, very nice," Deckard thought.

A few minutes later, Deckard was being examined by Sylvia's medical team. They were checking to ensure that everything was normal. To everyone's excitement, Deckard's test results showed he was clean of any demonic entities in his body. However, there were some side effects from the operations. Shortly after the operation was finished, the doctors discovered that Deckard would be blind in his right eye with two thin red scars going over it, and also that his right ear would have a chunk missing. The doctors were also able to discover and notify Sylvia, Sweetie, and Morgan that when Deckard was given his demonic entities, it opened a small connection to the realm of Hell. When Curtis killed Deckard with a holy bullet, the connection opened all the way. They also reveal that even though Deckard is cured of all demonic entities, his connection with the realm of Hell cannot be severed, and due to this, Deckard now has control over Hellfire.

A bright glow brought Sylvia, Sweetie, and Morgan's attention towards Deckard, whose front paws were surrounded by a red hellish flame. The three of them watched as Deckard made a fireball and tossed it back and forth between his two front paws. Deckard then grabbed a chain and started to concentrate, and in a matter of moments, the chain burst into flames. When Deckard let go of the chain, the fire on the chain disappeared.

"Fascinating," said Morgan.

"Oh, I'm going to enjoy this very much," said Deckard.

A beeping sound came from a large computer to their right and together, the four of them went over to see what was happening. Sylvia started to type something on the computer and brought up a file on certain operators that Deckard knew very well.

"Why are you looking at files on some of my companions, including team members?" Asked Deckard as he pointed to the picture of Smokey, who was next to a picture of Danny, Delta, Smoke, and Valor.

Sylvia let out a sigh, "Because right before I turned on the Blackgate Hellfire Club and the Royal Cartel, I managed to steal flash drives that contain a list of names who work for either the United States government or work for the government of one of the United States allies."

"And after many hours of hard work, we managed to uncover these five names along with a bunch of other officials, most of them being employed by the CIA, but names associated with the FBI, DEA, Interpol, and other government agencies have been found," said Morgan. "What I find interesting is that none of them are connected to the ASF, let alone mentions of it. It seems as if the US government or maybe my brother and Stark are doing that on purpose.

"Smokey and the others, are they still at the Nightwatchers bunker?" Asked Deckard.

"According to our resources, yes, and we also learned that Valor is now there as well," said Morgan. "I don't trust how this is going already."

"Is there any way you can get me to their bunker undetected?" Asked Deckard.

"Do you remember where the location of their bunker is?" Asked Sylvia.

"Yeah?" Deckard asked, "Why?"

"Well, Slasher wanted me to create state-of-the-art teleportation devices that look like a watch. All you have to do is plug in the coordinates of your location and hit the green button," said Sylvia, as she showed Deckard a small watch-style device that easily straps to his wrist.

"Are you sure this thing works?" Asked Deckard with a questionable look.

"Of course, I tested it out myself numerous times. It works how it should," said Morgan.

"Okay, I'll just have to take your word for it," said Deckard as he took the device.

"I suggest you plug in the coordinates at least a few clicks away from the base and make your way towards their base," said Morgan. "It would give them more time to realize you are alive after I contact them."

"Good idea, but before I do, I need a new uniform and weapons," said Deckard.

"I was hoping you would say that," said Sylvia as she brought a new uniform for Deckard.

Deckard changed into his new uniform: a pair of skin-tight black pants and jacket, black combat boots for his hind paws, and skin-tight black leather gloves for his front paws. Deckard also wore a skin-tight forest green vest, which he zipped up three-fourths of the way up, leaving one-fourth of his skin-tight black jacket exposed where his collar and pup tag were. Deckard's collar was a black velvet choker collar, and his pup tag was a silver pup tag colored in black with a red inverted pentagram symbol on it.

"Nice, I like it," said Deckard.

"Custom made just for you. The uniform has ultra-lightweight carbon fiber ballistic proof material sewed into the fabric of the clothing so that you won't get shot easily but still very painful if you do get shot," Sylvia warned.

"Alright, I got the uniform; now I need weapons," said Deckard.

"I'm afraid we can't give you much at this moment; the only thing we can give you right now is this," said Morgan as he placed a pistol on the table. "As you know, a war is going on, and Crusader is doing its damn best to build weapons for soldiers but also new technologies to fight the BHC's own weapons." He looked at Sylvia. "You still have a lot to work on."

Syliva only nodded shyly. The pistol was a highly customized Strayer Voigt Infinity pistol with a butler cut and a 23-round magazine. It was chambered in 9x19mm and reinforced for using hot-loaded competition "Major" rounds.

"This will work nicely," said Deckard as he grabbed a holster and strapped it to his side before placing his new gun inside the holster.

Deckard strapped the teleportation device to his front left leg and prepared to teleport back to his family and friends, "Thank you, Sylvia, you too, Morgan."

"You're welcome; now I must get back to work. You too, Syliva," said Morgan.

Deckard nodded as he typed in some coordinates and hit the green button before vanishing in a bright light.

On their way back to their research facility in Colorado Springs, CO, USA. Sylvia would ask, "You think he'll be okay without his demonic powers?"

"I don't know. Most likely, but at this time, the Nightwatchers are getting reinforcements. I'm sure Chase wants us to find anything can on anyone." Morgan explained.

"What do you mean? Isn't the ASF part of the FBI or CIA?" Sylvia wanted to make sure she knew the right things.

"At this point, I am not sure. I believe Atlas has plans for it to become an independent entity. One that works for the people, not the government. All ASF operatives, like Crusader employees, undergo an extensive background check process, and everything there is to know about them is found at all costs. No matter what they have done in the past or any changes they tried to make." Morgan continued, "That is why you could not get any spies into my company because they were all found out."

"What about Everest and Robyn? Let alone all the Nightwatchers. Chase is probably the only one in that group that has his whole background in check. Was a K-9 unit for the White House. Parents were killed in France on a botched mission. Left the White House for a small town with Ryder and started the PAW Patrol." Syliva recapped Chase's life, "Did minor rescues here and there, and then came the terrorist attacks that now have caused all that we are witnessing now."

Morgan nodded as he boarded the plane to take them back to Colorado. "You are correct on Chase's life story. Though I am sure, like everyone, he has secrets he keeps close. With him being a Nightwatcher, it makes it impossible to find out unless he is willing to talk to you himself."

"Like I said, he has squared away but… Fuchs has had one rocky life. Rosalie, as well. They are German, and the Russian group Waggner nabbed Fuchs. He then worked with Lupe himself before he was even classified as a terrorist leader. He committed atrocities against several people, mostly in Africa and Asia. Everest was dead to the world for the longest time, then joined the PAW Patrol out of nowhere." Sylvia was asking the needed question. "Then you have Robyn. She was an employee of yours, right?"

"She still is. And she went through the same process as any employee. That is what got her confirmed for the Nightwatchers and the serum. If she didn't have that, she would still be designing civilian technology." Morgan clarified. "Her past is fascinating, to say the least, but that is a story for her to tell to her teammates. Not me to you."

Nightwatchers Bunker. Living Quarters.

"I AM SICK OF BEING LIED TOO!" Chase shouted at the top of his lungs. "So much has been revealed to only then be reverted and changed. The evidence doesn't make sense. I can see the government doesn't always do the right thing. If not, I'd have to disagree with their actions. We have the highest security level in the world and can simply ask for what we want from Atlas and Stark, and they can't do anything but give it to us."

"Wait, did you…?" Everest was cut off by Chase turning to her with a growl, making her ears pin to the back of her head in fear.

"Why do you think I know so much? I have read every document I could see from 1776 to today. Lying on a federal document is a felony, and when it is military, it is always done in a simple, understanding way. Valor lied because these would have been reported in the CIA documents, but nothing turned up. All there is is the botched mission that Rocky and Dijak's parents went on and died." Chase clarified, turning to each of his members of the Nightwatchers.

"Are you saying they…?" Robyn started to realize what he was saying.

"Everything Valor told us was a lie, regardless of what the robots said. Their parents, if not dead, are undead and are living demons from the depths of Hell. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised that Lucifer is working on both sides." Chase then looks up to the ceiling and shouts, "WE COULD REALLY USE SOME HELP LORD!"

Just as he said, his dog tag went off. It was Morgan. "This is Chase. Go."

"Just a heads up, Deckard is going to arrive shortly," Morgan said over the audio of the tag. A distrist noise that had to be a plane.

"What do you mean?" Chase questioned. "Is Dijak alive?"

"In a way, yes. Brought back by the devil himself and after some major process that has rid him of all demonic traits." Morgan explained. "No, I did not give him the serum after. Only you, Everest, and Robyn have that."

Chase answered in heavy sarcasm, "Wonderful. Could I ask you for something, Morgan?"

"What is it?"

"Take this information and work with Lupe's forces to find and kill all those responsible. I won't trust the government at this time due to how volatile this conflict has become." Chase then sent Morgan the vital information he found out earlier. I hope the two most potent private militaries in the world can cut through the bureaucracy that plagues American politics.

"Will do. Good luck, Chase." Morgan responded. "I'm heading to Colorado Springs right now. I'll contact Lupe as soon as possible when I land."

"Godspeed." Chase ended the call and looked to his team. "I'm not going to be caught naked and unprepared. Gear up in our kits and be ready for anything. Weapons hot."

Without another word, they all nodded and went to get their gear on. "Robyn. It's time to receive your first lesson in combat. Preparedness. Follow me."

Chase led Robyn to the armory, where he would teach Robyn and Everest more about their kits and what each can do. From there, he would teach while Fuchs Rosalie met with the changed Deckard.

2 Clicks South of Nightwatchers Bunker

A bright flash of light appeared and Deckard appeared landing hard on a few rocks.

"Okay, painful reminder that no demonic entities equals me feeling pain very easily," Deckard thought as he stood up again.

Deckard looked around and saw that he was in the middle of nowhere which was a good sign. Deckard took a deep breath and smelled the air and after a few seconds he caught the scent he was looking for that would lead him to the Nightwatchers bunker.

Deckard took off like someone on a hell bent mission and in some ways he was.

Nightwatchers Bunker

Rocky was still feeling depressed over the fact that his brother may be dead and the only one who seemed to stick by his side was Shade, Cyanide and Deckard's two cyber animals, Ripfang and Skyclaw. Smokey came over with a weird expression on his face. Valor, Danny, Smoke, and Delta followed him.

"Hey guys, we have a surprise for ya," said Smokey.

"What is it?" Asked Rocky.

Suddenly without warning, like a lightning strike, Smokey pulled out a Glock 17 and shot Cyanide in the head killing him. The blood splatter onto the faces of Rocky and Shade, stunning them long enough for Valor to throw two small EMP devices at Ripfang and Skyclaw, knocking them out and forcing them into shut down mode. Delta and Danny had a chain wrapped around Shade's neck while Valor had one of his paws clamped around Rocky's muzzle.

"I can't believe that I'm related to a dirty spineless mutt like you," said Valo, "It's disgusting."

Valor punched Rocky across his muzzle which left a nasty scratch under his left eye and knocked out a tooth. Smokey felt a buzz and saw that Foxx, Glen, and Finn arrived, enhanced with demonic powers.

"Alright, let's go take command," said Valor as he led the assault on the Nightwatchers base.

A massive gunfight broke out and normally this wouldn't be a problem for the Nightwatchers, but since the fight started inside their base and Foxx, Glen, and Finn had a bunch of Storm's Royal Cartel goons outside… things got bloody real fast. Everything was happening so fast with the screaming of orders and the screams of soldiers when they were killed, the spilling of blood, the firing of guns, the little sounds of shell casings hitting the floor, it was total anarchy. Fuchs and Roselie were about to head out to rendezvous with Deckard and bring him home when a canine soldier came running up to them with blood all over him, which alarmed the two Nightwatchers.

"Sir! Ma'am! We're under attack by a few members of the Royal Cartel, and they got inside," said the soldier, telling them what had happened.

"WHAT!" Yelled Fuchs and Roselie in unison.

"How is that possible!?" Fuchs asked his mate.

"Apparently, Danny, Smoke, Smokey, and Delta decided to change sides. They've already killed Cyanide and taken Shade and Rocky hostage," informed the soldier.

"Rosalie, go get Chase, Everest, and Robyn and tell them we're under attack and have traitors in the base. Chase is going to go ballistic when he here's this," said Fuchs.

Rosalie nodded her head and took off to get Chase and the girls while Fuchs pulled out his assault rifle, "Ready to rejoin the fight?"

"Hell yeah," the canine soldier replied as Fuchs and the soldier ran towards the raging gunfight.

In another room, Rosalie could hear grunting and metal on metal clanging. Soon, she listened to Chase shouting commands while female voices shouted in anger and pain, followed by what could only be bodies falling on the floor with thuds. And the cycle repeats as the thuds get less and less frequent. They were training.

Knowing this was time-sensitive, Rosalie barged into the training room only to be met with Chase, Everest, and Robyn to raise their pistols at her. They were already on high alert.

"Chase!" Rosalie blurted out.

They lowered their pistols, and Chase ran up to her, "Let me guess. We are under attack, and several friends have turned on us."

"Yes… how did you?" Rosalie and the other girls looked at Chase. Asking in their minds how he knew.

"Two steps ahead, Rosalie. Robyn, I need you to order our Crusader and Guard allies to regroup at these coordinates with Lupe's reinforcements he has sent. On my signal launch a full counter-offensive." Chase handed Robyn the coordinates from his tag to hers. "Rosalie, lockdown the bunker. Do not allow them to enter the CIC. I will send Fuchs to assist you." Rosalie nodded and got to work, shutting down the bunker. Chase then got on his communicator to everyone, "To everyone here. If you see Valor, kill on sight. Other than that, follow orders of superiors and fellow Nightwatchers." Chase then looked to Everest, who had her Benelli M4 shotgun racked and ready.

"What about us?" Everest asked.

"We, my dear husky friend, are going to get captured," Chase said as he led the way to the enemy.

The two canines ran towards the area where the gunfire was coming from, and without hesitation, Chase bashed through the door, just before the blast door could shut. Chase and Everest raised their weapons at the Royal Cartel operatives and their associates on the other side of this training room they are all locked in thanks to Rosealie.

"Ah, so glad you can join us, Mr. Hunter," said Foxx.

"The pleasure is all mine, asshole," replied Chase with a growl.

"Damn, Storm was right, you do have a temper," said Glenn.

"Chase, as you can see, we caught you all by surprise, not to mention we have two of your friends here," said Foxx, as he pointed to Delta holding on to a chain that was wrapped around Shadow's neck. At the same time, Smoke and Danny had Rocky pinned to the ground, with Smokey having his right front paw on top of Rocky's muzzle, causing Rocky significant discomfort.

The two Nightwatchers looked at Danny, Delta, Smoke, and Smokey with cold death glares. The four of them had been allies just moments ago, and now they were switching sides like cowards.

"You are all cowards. Fools. Am I surprised? Hardly." Chase growled. He then got a ping on his tag that Rosalie had been joined with Fuchs in the Garage. Seconds later Robyn notified with another ping that she had regrouped with the main Guard, Crusader, and AWM forces. Just waiting for them to attack. None of the traitors nor even Rocky and Shadow had the encrypted frequency the Nightwatchers were on. "Your own egos will always lead you to make poor decisions."

"Oh please, it was the Americans that were behind that fucking laboratory that I was created in, and when Deckard set me free, I vow that one day I would make the Americans pay for what they have done," said Smokey, with a growl as he added more pressure on Rocky's muzzle, which cracking noises was heard. Rocky let out a muffled scream of pain.

Chase looked at Rocky with a grimace in his eyes. He has already lost the rest of the PAW Patrol. He wasn't about to lose another member. Another friend. He then looked back up to Smokey with what could only be described as pure rage but tamed. He then started to chuckle. "You are all fucking idiots. Let go of him."

Smokey looked down at Rocky before raising his paws and then stomping on it with great force that busted Rocky's mouth open and knocked out many teeth, "Don't ever tell me what to do ever again."

Rocky burst into tears as the blood pooled out of his mouth.

"I can't believe you let this mutt be a part of your little rescue team when you didn't even know what type of breed he was," growled Glen, "Impure fleabag."

"So. You punch him in the face and now insult him? Did you have any plan going into this, or was it? 'Capture a grieving dog and his friend and hold them hostage. Then use them to get what you want from Chase?' I'm I in the ballpark?" asked Chase. What changed in the German Shepherd?

Smokey stomped on Rocky's back with a growl, "You think this is some game?"

"Now, now boys, let's be civil here," said Valor walking up to the front, "You know my parents, and Slasher warned me that you're very good at finding out the truth, but they fail to inform me that you are a real pain in the ass."

"I'm being as civil as possible, Valor. It's your partners who seem to be losing the ball. Besides, you make things too easy to see. I'm not just a pain in your ass, I'm a pain in everyone's ass because I ask the questions cowards like you are too afraid to ask." said Chase. "And to answer your question, Smokey, yes, I do think it is a game. A game of poor decisions and bad timing."

Valor looked at the two Nightwatchers before leaning toward Rocky, still withering in pain, "I cannot believe that I'm related to someone like you." Valor got back up and started to walk away, and the Nightwatchers realized that he was trying to leave.

Chase chuckled, "The entire bunker has been locked down. I'm not stuck in this room with you. You're stuck in this room with me." Chase smirked, regaining his composure.

"Really, how do you think I got in here?" Valor asked quietly, thinking he finally had Chase in a pickle.

"The very exit behind you. That no longer exists." Chase said, motioning towards the door they came in, showing that it had been shut and the titanium blast door was raised. The problem now was, where was the door? All the walls look the same now. "Either you are as dumb as you look or you have fewer brain cells than I thought to give you credit for. But you are all now in one of my high-tech training rooms. Good luck blowing yourself out."

"I guess we'll just have to kill you here and now. Ten on two hardly seems fair though." Valor sighed trying to hide the fact he was shocked.

Foxx gave a dark chuckle as he grabbed a chain and set it on fire, "This is going to be so satisfying for me."

Foxx threw the chain backward to launch it forward toward Chase, but the chain was grabbed by a paw wearing a black leather glove. Everyone who was near the paw was holding the chain back away as the mysterious canine came out of the shadows, revealing himself to be the one and only legendary Deckard Viper Crossfang.

Chase laughed, "HA! Did I mention it was three on ten? Must have forgotten."

Deckard looked around and saw Rocky lying on the floor in pain. The ex-demonic wolf yanked the chain away from Foxx with a deep growl.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here? Looks like the legend of the underworld has returned," said Valor mockingly, not realizing Deckard was no longer a demon.

Deckard remained silent as he tightened his grip on the chain he was holding. However, Valor and Smokey finally decide to kill the legend themselves.

Both of them produce small circular devices that look like throwing stars, "Behold the power of flash bombs crafted with the powers of the angels from heaven," said Valor, as he and Smokey threw the flash bombs towards Deckard, who just stood there as the flash bombs hit him and exploded.

Everyone just stood there as all of the Royal Cartel operatives, Foxx, Glen, Finn, Smokey, and Valor, thought that one of the canines that had caused them so much trouble was finally gone. However, that moment was shattered when Deckard was seen still standing in the same place like the angelic flash bombs did nothing to him. When the smoke finally cleared, Deckard was on Chase's left flank, and Everest was on his right flank.

"Two more questions before this showdown starts: have you all heard of the story of David and Goliath? And how the hell did you get grenades from Heaven?" Chase asked, half chuckling, also giving the code words for Robyn and the coalition forces to advance.

"This isn't some fairy tale where you survive." Valor shot back, unable to hide the shock and almost fear in his voice as nothing was going to plan anymore.

"No, we will all die. You're gonna die. I'm gonna die. We're all gonna die." Chase said as he perked a smile showing his razor-sharp teeth. Sharper than any demon ever. Everest did the same as she readied for a fight while Deckard pulled the chain away like a whip. "Just not today."

"Why? Why did you give it up… the power… the fear… EVERYTHING!," Screamed Foxx as he and his brothers glared at Deckard.

"I didn't give up on everything," said Deckard, as his left eye flashes red and the chain he was holding ignited, surrounding it in pure red hellish flame.

Deckard spun around and as he did, he swung one end of the chain towards Valor which wrapped around his body and a severe burning sensation started as smoke started to appear as Valor felt himself being burned. Suddenly the flames disappeared and Valor felt himself being yanked forward as Deckard pulled the chain towards him before delivering a spinning roundhouse kick to Valor with such force it shattered the chain and sent Valor straight into the wall, knocking him unconscious. Everyone stood in shock at what just transpired.

Deckard landed on the ground and threw the remains of the chain he had in his paw away, "I may no longer be a demon, but I didn't lose everything," said Deckard as he unleashed his claws which had a black shadowy look, "Now, who's ready to die?"

Chase chuckled maniacally while Everest stood her ground at Chase's side.

Smokey looked back at Valor then at Deckard, Chase, and Everest before letting out a murderous growl, "KILL THEM ALL!"

Smokey lunged at Deckard who easily flipped over him before charging at the three demonic brothers to save his brother.

Before Smokey could get up and turn to go after Deckard, he was sucker punched straight into the titanium wall by Chase who did not hold back at all. Everest was on Chase's six covering him and making sure no one could sneak up on him.

Deckard, with his black shadowy claws out stalked towards Finn, Glen, and Foxx who were holding Rocky in front of them; all three of them were in disbelief that the canine in front of them, the one who became the first demonic wolf was no longer a demon and they can't decided whether they should be excited that they might be able to kill him, or should they be terrified because they don't know what to expect from him.

"Long time no see, boys," said Deckard with a grin.

"How? How is this possible?" Foxx asked.

"Oh, there is so much that you boys don't understand," said Deckard.

Multiple Royal Cartel operatives surrounded Deckard, who seemed unfazed by the large number of enemies that had surrounded him. Each Royal Cartel member had bladed weapons or some other type of melee weapon.

"You three are lucky that I have no intention of killing you," said Deckard, as he pointed to Foxx, Finn, and Glenn, "However, as for the Royal Cartel jackasses… you boys are fair game."

"Don't you know you shouldn't bring a knife to a gunfight?" Everest taunted as she whipped around, wiping out several Cartel members with a new FN 5.7 pistol.

Deckard shot forward, tackling Foxx off of Rocky, then grabbed Glen and threw him into Finn. The Royal Cartel goons charged at Deckard, but the ex-demon wolf used his combat fighting skills: Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Wing Chun Kung Fu, Karate, and Kickboxing. Deckard was at a new level compared to the Royal Cartel goons. Deckard grabbed one and broke his neck quickly before using his kickboxing skills to deliver nasty slashes from his claws on his hind paws; some of them were lethal due to the fact the cut was done on their neck, which meant that blood started to cover the floor quickly. Three more canines came charging, only for Deckard to punch one in his jaw, which shattered the bone; the second one took a few swings at Deckard before Deckard grabbed the front forelegs and ripped them clean off before grabbing the Royal Cartel's gun and putting two nine millimeter rounds into the canine's skull. Deckard then blocked a kick from the third one and proceeded to grab the canine's head and slammed it into the titanium wall over and over again until there was a bloody goopy mess on the wall with bits and pieces of the canine's skull in it.

Deckard dropped the headless body onto the floor before feeling a bullet wiz by his head, striking a Royal Cartel operative in between his eyes. Deckard turned to see Shadow Ambrose, the last surviving crew member, with an AMT AutoMag III pistol in his left front paw.

"Remember, I'll always have your back," said Shadow.

"Thank you, Shade," said Deckard, "Help Chase and Everest with the remaining Royal Cartel operatives. I'm going to deal with some unfinished business."

Shadow nodded before turning to face his former partner—Smokey, who was bloodied from Chase's previous attack. Chase was about to deliver the kill blow when Shadow stopped him.

"What the fuck are you doing?" Asked Chase.

"Help Everest with the Royal Cartel. I want some business with him," said Shadow as he pointed to Smokey.

Chase looked at Shadow before looking at Smokey. Nodding his head in understanding, Chase ran off to join Everest in beating the life out of the Royal Cartel operatives.

"Shade," said Smokey.

"Smokey," Shadow replied back.

Smokey went to punch Shadow, but the black panther just grabbed Smokey in a headlock, "I wanted to make this slow and painful, but I'm not like you."

With that being said Shadow snapped Smokey's neck apart with a loud crunch. The former member of Cemetery Wind dropped dead with a devastated black panther standing over his dead body.

Deckard was in a paw-to-paw combat with Glen, Foxx, and Finn and despite being blind in one eye, Deckard was busting all three brothers up badly. Glen was unconscious with his two front legs broken. Finn was moaning in pain as his muzzle was all fucked up and blood was poring out of his mouth and nose. Foxx was the only one that was still standing, but he had a black eye, a bloody nose, and a few of his teeth were missing.

"It doesn't matter if you're a demon or not, you'll always be a dangerous freakish killer," said Foxx while laughing.

"That's just a matter of your opinion, now say goodnight," said Deckard as he jumped and delivered a spinning heel kick to Foxx's head, knocking him out.

Deckard proceeded to take three vials of strange glowing liquid and eject one into each brother and watch as the liquid destroyed their demonic forms and changed them back to normal.

Deckard turned towards Rocky only to be sucker punched straight in the face by Valor. Deckard flew backwards and slammed into Shadow which caused both of them to hit the wall. Deckard shook the dizziness from his head just to see Valor stand over his brother with a strange rectangular box with glowing lights on it.

"See you soon, brother," said Valor as he pushed the green button and a bright swirling light appeared above him and Rocky.

Realizing what is happening, Deckard launches himself towards Valor and Rocky. As Valor and Rocky began to disappear, Deckard speared Valor and Rocky out of the portal and smashed Valor's teleportation device to pieces.

"You know I find it funny that you play this badass persona to fool everyone, but you can't fool me," said Valor, "I know about your one true darkest secret… your one trauma that fell upon you after you and Rocky were separated."

Deckard's eyes widen as he quickly flashes back to a time after he and Rocky split, a time during his military academy training days when he was a young pup. Deckard unconsciously moved his right front paw towards his throat and neck.

"I'm guessing by your shocked priceless face that you know what I'm talking about, but I got to know, did you ever tell anyone about it? Did you tell Chase?… Everest?… Fuchs?… Rosalie?… Rocky?," Asked Valor as he listed names off.

Deckard remained silent as he closed his eyes to shield the memories from his mind.

"Hahaha, Did you seriously not tell anyone about your little incident, what about your wife?" Valor asked while standing up.

As the two brothers were shouting at each other, Chase finished the last of the cartel members, shooting the last one in the back of the head execution style. Everest managed to subdue the unconscious Foxx, Glen, and Finn, making sure to tighten the chains and rope she found tight and uncomfortable. They then both looked to the two brothers bickering with Chase holstering his pistol and drawing a blade as Everest drew her Reaper blades.

Deckard's eyes snapped open, and with a nasty growl unlike nobody had ever seen before, Deckard, like a ballistic missile, charged at Valor, tackled him straight into the wall, and proceeded to unhinged hell upon the defenseless canine. Punching… kicking… even headbutting him, and slamming his head and body into the titanium wall. Valor slid down the wall, covered in bruises and blood.

Deckard was breathing heavily and was on the verge of passing out. Valor let out a weak chuckle as he spit out blood and a tooth, "You're so predictable."

Deckard kicked Valor's head into the titanium wall, knocking him unconscious. Deckard turned around to see Chase, Everest, and Shadow all staring at him. Each of them had a different expression: Shadow looked shocked, the two Nightwatchers with their blades drawn. Everest had a face of determination, while Chase simply looked at Deckard with a neutral expression. Something Deckard didn't remember from the Shepherd.

"I'm so glad to see you guys again," said Deckard, who then proceeded to inject Rocky and Valor with the serum to cure them of their demonic entities as well as any injuries that they had suffered in the past few hours. After that was done, Deckard coiled his body around Rocky and proceeded to fall asleep.

Before he entirely went to sleep, he'd hear the blast doors opening and voices shouting. The last thing he heard was from Chase, "We are clear here. Get Rocky and Deckard to the guest room."

Atlas Wolves Head Quarters. Under Denali, Alaska.

"Well, this just got very interesting," Redstone said in his Russian accent as he looked through more files that Fuchs sent them in conjunction with shared documents by Crusader that were either obtained legally or illegally. Redstone could honestly care less. The amount of information at his paws was insurmountable. Things that were public knowledge, things classified as secret up to top secret and only for certain people to know.

"How's it going?" Lupe asked as he opened the door to the room Redstone isolated himself in. The gray timber wolf walked in with a stride poised for battle. Redstone would know. With the attack on the Nightwatcher's bunker again. Lupe sounded the general quarters order all over the base, just in case anyone tried attacking them. However, that has to be more foolish than attacking the Nightwatchers in an open field. Despite that, Lupe was wearing what could only be described as a dress uniform reminiscent of 1930s and 1940s Germany. Minus the swastika on the armband instead being replaced with the logo for the Atlas Wolves. A black and white striped background with a blue star in the forefront and in it a wolf's shadow in gray. On the uniform, where the eagle and swastika would be, were replaced with the wolf pins and the blue star.

Redstone enjoyed the new uniforms, as they were standard for all members of the AWM now with the amount of money they have made from selling secrets to the US and her allies. As he saw himself as more of a shock trooper, he wore a tan-colored uniform, while Lupe's was black with silver stitching and outlining. "It is going well, Lupe. I have connected several documents and have found several errors. As hard as they may have tried, they still couldn't cover their tracks."

"I like the sound of that. Keep up the good work," Lupe complemented as he watched Redstone do his magic. "Send any of it back to Morgan's servers?"

"Negative. I'll send it all at once when I am done with everything," Redstone stated as he moved on to the next page, making him stop and stare at it. Blurting out a few words before he could stop himself, "Holy crap," He grimaced as he saw the pictures from the Nightwatcher's attack on what looked to be an old warehouse. Bodies were everywhere, and blood soaked the ground, staining everything in the photo with that crimson-red color. "I thought we were ruthless."

Lupe looked over Redstone's shoulder at the photo designated as 'Watcher Mission #23. Marked: Success.' "No kidding. Yikes." Lupe let his eyes wander on the photo and he saw that this was after the attack on the Lookout. Some missions in between. Then he saw Chase's face, "That is the look of someone who lost most of everything."

"That is the face of someone who has lost part of his soul, Lupe," Redstone added on. Chase looked at this gory sight with a face of rage and anger. A face that said 'This was not enough.' "I don't believe Chase was so… angry like that before. Especially in that call. I looked like he was about to explode."

"Out of everyone, he has lost most of his family. Skye, Ryder, Marshall, Zuma, Tracker, Rubble, most of his town he swore to protect. Not to mention he lost his parents when he was much younger." Lupe, mentioned to the red fox.

"You're kidding." Redstone looked to his leader with a look of surprise.

"Who knows what else he lost? I swear, if he loses Rocky, Everest, and his Nightwatchers, he will be lost to us. Become a maddog without consciousness or mercy, and not to mention his superpowers at this point too. Then when he is through with everyone who wronged him, either he enjoys it too much or realizes what he did and then does everything to kill himself." Lupe explained as he looked back at Redstone.

"He's a ticking time bomb. He has lost family, lied to, and been stabbed in the back literally and figuratively. What can you do to stop a dog like him?" Redstone said as he looked back at the picture. Moving on to the next one which was even more gruesome than the last one. Making it worse it was a video with no audio.

The video showed Chase interrogating what looked to be the last survivor. A scared shitless young Dalmatian that was wearing a torn jacket with the Royal Cartel symbol. Soot covered the dally's face and back. He was bleeding from his legs. Chase had him pinned on the ground with Everest behind the German Shepherd. After three minutes of interrogation, Chase got off the canine. The Dalmatian started to beg for help and Rosalie started to approach. Probably to give medical aid but Chase simply pulled a pistol and shot the dog right in the head killing him. The video ends with Fuchs, Everest, and Roselie looking at Chase, Fuchs is about to shout but Chase growls something that shuts them all up.

"Christ, maybe he is already lost," Redstone said as he looked at the last scene of Chase walking away and his team shocked at what he just did.

Lupe simply looked at the scene in shock himself, "Oh boy. That was after the attack before he and Everest got the serum. If he had the serum he might have just crushed him."

"The fact it was a Dalmatian. The same as Marshall. Almost looked like him," Redstone pointed out.

"That might have been the reason why he shot him too," Lupe said, shaking himself as he was covered in dirt. "Best not to bring this up to them or he might shoot us too."

"No crap," Redstone said as he shook himself too, and tried to get back to work. "I have seen and done things like that before. But seeing him do it… it honestly spooks me. How a canine like him goes from wanting to help everyone he can to offering young canines with no mercy."

"He has witnessed atrocities firstpaw at this point. It seems that Everest, Fuchs, and Rosalie have a grip on him for now but if he loses them. Lord, have mercy on anyone who gets in his way. Cause he won't." Lupe said as he turned to exit the room. "Let me know if you find anything else… concerning."

Redstone nodded and looked back to Lupe with a concerned face, "Will do."

Lupe left Redstone to his own devices and walked down the hall. The wolf continued walking down the base halls, passing several blast doors. As he passed his troops, they exited his way while saluting him. All of them were in their tactical uniforms; for this part of the militia, they used a more Multicam style for their combat uniforms—more on the dark and white side of the spectrum to blend in more with the grays, greens, and whites of the Alaskan Winter. Not only that, but they all had the same armband Lupe had on his left foreleg, their respective ranks on their collars, and tags for communication. As for weapons, many had the new standard rifle produced by Desert Tech. The MDRX is kitted out with lights, pax boxes, and the new NGSW-FC optic built by Vortex. Few designated sniper soldiers have the SRS A2 Covert bolt action sniper rifles as their weapon of choice as it has good range for their kits as well, and it is easier to hide and change calibers if needed from .223 all the way up to .338 Lapua Magnum. All the uniforms and extra gear are from Crusader Industries.

As he approached his destination, he pointed to three troopers, saying, "Come with me." Without a word and only a nod, they joined their leader on his flanks as he entered a lift that was going down. They all went down the lift to the base stockade. Otherwise known as the prison.

When Lupe arrived at a cell, he stopped in front of it. He looked in, seeing the person he wanted to see. He smiled evilly, and he had an idea in his head. "Soldier, open the cell," He ordered.

Without hesitation, the Sergeant of the group opened the cell as he had otherization on the data pad he held. There was a loud buzz, and then the cell door opened, revealing the prisoner inside to be none other than Elena. "Hello, brother," she greeted.

"You look awful," Lupe responded, seeing as his sister had seen better days. Elena had healed from her run-in with Deckard and Lupe. Massive scars scattered her body from muzzle to tail. The most notable was the stump of her left foreleg that Lupe bit off.

"What do you want? Assault me, kill me, rip off my other leg?" Elena didn't want to play her older brother's games.

"None of that. I've changed; having a rebellious son is more manageable than you. Besides, I have come to do quite the opposite," Lupe said as he whistled for a doctor.

A golden retriever in the same gear as the three other troopers, the only difference being a white armband on his right foreleg with a red cross. They also had a briefcase that looked to be carrying something significant.

"Merry Christmas, Elena. Sylvia and Morgan sent this to you," Lupe said as the doctor opened the case and showed Elena that what was inside was a new bionic leg to replace the one Lupe made her lose. "Please make this easy for all of us."

Elena's eyes were wide with surprise. This was probably the most excellent thing Lupe had done for her for a long time. "You have changed."

"And you can too." Lupe offered as the doctor got to work, but Elena didn't move—more from shock than listening to her older brother.

Nightwatchers Bunker (aftermath.)

Chase leaves one of the guest rooms where Rocky and Deckard are now sleeping. He'd make sure to close the door quietly before walking off. He headed to the living room, where the TV and mostly everything remained intact after the attack. Thankfully, the freaks didn't get too far in as Chase held them just outside the bunker's inner parts, like the living room, kitchen, garage, CIC, and bedrooms. They didn't have access to the rest of the bunker, and anything they tried to blow down was reinforced with titanium blast doors with lead cores.

When the base went on lockdown, every bulkhead was sealed, and the enemy couldn't get to where they probably wanted to go as the CIC had a lot of classified files on the computers and paper folders. Luckily enough they got stuck in one of the training rooms where the battle took place and the only damage done was to the bodies of the operatives and terrorists.

Chase, Everest, and Shade had to sit in the training room for at least an hour as Robyn, Fuchs, and Roselie, opened door after door after door to get to them. Once they were able to get out Chase ordered the AWM soldiers who were with them to just leave the bodies and the traitors in the room. He and Everest then carried Deckard and Rocky to the guest room while Shade joined Fuchs, Rosalie, and Robyn to clear the rest of the bunker, after a very intensive interrogation to make sure he wouldn't turn his guns on them.

As Chase entered the living room he was greeted by the rest of his team, "How are they?" Rosalie asked the German Shepherd.

"They are asleep for now, Deckard had that serum Morgan and Syliva made. Completely cleaned Rocky of his demon side I can only assume the same for the freaks in training room three," Chase stated as a matter of fact. "If not, nothing can get out of that room anyway." He looked to Robyn and Fuchs, "You made sure to take everything from them?"

"Yes sir Chase. All they'll have to eat is the bodies of their dead comrades," Fuchs stated as Everest's, Rosalie's, and Robyn's all formed into faces of discussion. Noticing this Fuchs tried to elaborate, "They are too dangerous to even open a door for. If they want real food they are going to have to start giving us answers."

"Let us wait. We now have time. Get some rest, all of you. Everest, take Robyn to her room, please. Fuchs. Rosalie, you both are dismissed until further notice. Make sure our allies are squared away before you clock in for the night," Chase gave the rundown of what he wanted done for the night.

"What about me?" Shade asked

Chase looked over to him and sighed, "There is another guest room next to Rocky's and Deckard's you can use that for now." Shade only nodded and left to get some real rest.

"The rest of you have any questions?" Chase turned back to his team. "Tomorrow we are all going to help train Robyn properly. Maybe we can do some for ourselves too instead of trying to fight for our lives for once."

They all yawned and nodded a few chuckles as they all left the living room. Leaving Chase alone, for the first time in a long time. The German Shepherd let out a huge sigh of relief as he could faintly breathe. Redstone is working on the evidence, Lupe is sending forces to deal with outposts, and Morgan and Sylvia are working on ways to find the last bits of the BHC and Storm's Cartel. The US military and her allies are surrounding the enemy. Finally, he had no missions, no attacks, nothing. Chase finally had the one thing he wished for after the destruction of the Lookout. Peace and Quiet. But with that comes, thinking and oh boy was that a freight train waiting to hit the canine at full speed.

Before he could break down he managed to hold himself together as he walked to his room. Not noticing that Robyn and Everest haven't gone to sleep yet and their doors still open a bit. He'd open the door to his room. The room he hasn't been in for a long time. A room that at one point he shared with a special someone. That has changed now. The entire room was now just his. His colors of blue, red, white, and black. His bed, his bookshelf, his safe, his bathroom with tub, shower, sinks, and toilet, and his wardrobe.

Chase jumped up on his bed for now and finally fell asleep, too exhausted to think about anything else. Come morning that will change.

XXX

In the morning, Chase woke up. He didn't want to wake anyone just in case so he slowly and quietly got off his bed and exited his room. He checked on his teammates and they were all still asleep. Even Shade, Rocky, and Deckard were still dreaming who knows what but that wasn't as concerning to Chase.

For now, the German Shepherd felt that he needed to get some things off his chest and the best way to do that was to punch some bags. He'd head to the gym of the bunker. It wasn't anything special but it had everything any canine would want to work out with. Chase however only wanted two things, tape and a bag to punch the living shit out of.

He started with a simple warm-up to stretch and then taped up his front paws and began punching the bag in front of him. He started with jabs and hooks. Once he got a rhythm down he started to add dodging left or right. He went slow at first, then got better, and faster, changed it up, and repeated. As he punched and became muscle memory his mind started to wonder. Thinking about recent events, past events, memories… family. His life with Skye and what could have been. He thinks of Marshall and the rest of his past friends. Ryder and how cancer cut his life short. Regret for not doing more on that day when the Lookout was destroyed for the final time. He should have known. Did he know?

"Stupid idiot, you let your emotions control you," he grumbled under his breath not realizing he started to punch the bag slightly harder. "You should have done more. There is always something I could have done. I could have known. Losing Skye that close should have been a warning." Again he started punching even harder.

The thoughts of Deckard and his escapade of being tricked by the imposters. "How did I not catch it sooner? What if I did? Would Deckard even be here? Would his team still be alive?" Chase again started to punch the bag even harder. Without his knowledge his knuckles started to bleed under the tape slightly. "Then I had traitors who I thought were friends. Deckard coming back from the dead. Valor was the only one I knew not to trust." Anger started to take its place in Chase as he grew frustrated with what happened the day before. "AHAHAH! Why can't it just be good vs. evil? Why do the people I know have to die or stab me in the back?" Chase was punching hard and fast. If the bag was a person they'd be a pulp.

Then thoughts of Storm entered the younger German Shepherd's mind. "He has caused nothing but pain. He enjoys it too." Chase looked up to the bag and saw his brother's face in it and without warning and with him losing his strength he sucker punched the bag so hard it burst open and broke off the chain. Slamming against the wall with a massive thud that rocked the walls of the bunker and the sand from the bag spilling into a pile.

"AHAHAHAHAHAH!" Chase screamed at the top of his lungs, "I HAVE LOST EVERYTHING! WHAT IS THE POINT ANYMORE!" Lost, Chase caved into the pressure. "God, why must I have suffered?" He laid down and began to sob quietly, "What did I do to deserve this punishment, Lord? What did I do?"

In the entrance to the gym stood Robyn, Everest, Fuchs, Rosalie, Rocky, Deckard, and Shade. All with their ears pinned to the backs of their heads. Some in fear, others in shock. Out of all of them, Everest was the only one who had seen Chase in this kind of state before. Only this time, it was much worse. Way worse.

"I lost Ryder, then Skye, the love of my life, only three years afterward along with most of the PAW Patrol. I lost my best friend. My brother from another mother, Marshall. WHAT DID I DO, LORD!? What did I do?" Chase sobbed more. He wasn't alert. He has completely and utterly shut down.

"I have never in all my years seen Chase in such a state," Rocky admitted, almost crying himself as tears began to form in his eyes. Being reminded of all the friends he has lost in just a single day.

"He's always had that stoic exterior. I never thought anything could get to him," Deckard said, trying his damndest not to tear up.

"I can't blame him, sniffle losing as much as he has? You three especially, Rocky. Everest." Robyn cried. She looked at Everest who was also crying so much that she couldn't make words.

Fuchs and Rosalie remained quiet. Not saying anything and only after a short while backed off allowing space for the others. Shade did the same after a while shedding a few tears as he remembered the losses he had suffered. Rocky couldn't take it and left back to his room Deckard followed him as the brother he was to try and comfort his younger brother.

It got to the point where Robyn couldn't take listening to Chase's quiet howls of pain and suffering anymore to where she rushed into the room and came to Chase's side saying, "Chase, I'm here for you."

Everest followed her and joined the white German Shepherd on Chase's other side trying to help him, "We are here for you."

All that was met with Chase calming down just a bit but still siffling here and there. He needed to let it go. In response, Everest and Robyn only looked to each other then to Chase who had laid his head down on the ground. They too joined him and the three canines laid there for that is all that needed to happen right now.

Deckard and Rocky returned to the guest room that they were using to discuss a few things. Shadow decided to join them.

"So… what are we going to do?" Asked Shadow.

"I don't know. To be honest, I have no idea what's real and what's fake anymore," said Deckard.

"What are you going to do about Valor?" Asked Rocky.

"The same thing I'm going to do to our supposed parents… kill him when the time comes. However, I'll let Chase and the Nightwatchers have some fun with him first," said Deckard.

"What about Finn, Foxx, and Glen, what's going to happen with them?" Asked Shadow.

"Whatever Lupe has planned for them, after all Elena is their mother and she is Lupe's sister, so that makes Finn, Foxx, and Glen Lupe's nephews," said Deckard.

"What about Danny, Smoke, and Delta?" Asked Shadow.

"I don't care, Chase can deal with them," said Deckard.

"What did we do to deserve this life?" Asked Rocky, "Why couldn't we have loving parents or a nice life without all the pain and suffering?"

"Life's not fair, brother. Besides, I blame myself for this whole entire mess. If I just stayed away from you and the PAW Patrol when I was hunting Eric Samson and Jason Cage, you guys wouldn't be caught up in this mess," said Deckard, "Also I was given the job of tracking Storm and keeping tabs on his whereabouts for my superiors, but I failed miserably at that and multiple people and pups paid the price with their lives."

Deckard started to cry, "I fucked up so many times I should be the one in the ground dead, not Skye, not Marshall, not Zuma, not Rubble, not Tracker, not my team, I mean why is it that our friends, who want to live the most, deserves to live the most, dies? And the ones who deserve to die, keep on living, I mean what's the message we were supposed to learn from that?"

Rocky and Shadow grabbed Deckard in a hug as the three of them just laid there, thinking about their fallen brothers.

Hey, Decks, what are we going to do for a team?" Asked Shadow.

"We'll create a new team with just the three of us," said Deckard.

"Really, what are we going to be called?" Asked Rocky.

"I got a nice name in mind," said Deckard.

Shadow and the Crossfang brothers started to enjoy each other's company… until Rocky remembered something rather important, but was afraid of how bad his brother would explode.
