"Dad!" The voice cut through the silence of Taniquetil like ice. "Daaaad!"

"Yes?" Manwë brought his attention to the snowflurry that was currently depositing his son, who promptly jumped him. "Okay, what did you do now?"

"You think I did something?" The closest Eä had to a heir muttered. "Why?"

"The only times you are tactile these days are around your husband - who you married without a celebration..." The Lord of the Airs grinned at his son's face at that statement. "which your mother is still annoyed by, by the by - and when you did something you think I will not approve of. Such as marrying without even letting me know it was your intend."

He grumbled at that, pulling back some. "Once, it happened once." Nixëlca pointed out.

"I would not want to see the gem-shards flying around your head if you tried to ditch Cilinaril." Manwë snorted. "But anyway, why are you here? Just to see your parents, or...?"

"The Finweäns are going on a vacation, did you hear?"

"I heard the long meetings so Arafinwë could leave for a longer while than a few days, at least." The two of them settled in the large snowdrifts that always grew against the Halls up on the mountaintop when the Maia was present. "So that succeeded?"

"Well, I don't know that." The smaller form shrugged, sinking into the snow. "But Cili wants to join, on account of hoping to find some interesting gems that can only be found in the far East... or South or wherever they are intending to go."

"Ah, and they invited me, so you have to be in charge of the world?"

"DAD!" The highly localized snowstorm did not last long, the Vala of winds slapping them down with soft laughter even as ice coated the area around them.

"I do believe you were the one mentioning a vacation several times." The son glowered at the father, for all that he was a pile of insulted snowy ice at this point. Said father just patted the top of the pile, ignoring the below freezing temperatures going on that would have frozen a normal body at the moment of touch, if not by being in the sheer presence of the Maia. "But very well, you are going with them, then."

"For a time, at least."

"So am I putting you in charge of the Ainurian contingent then?" The still mostly-elvish looking Ainu mused, considering some of his frozen hair. Tilting his eyebrow, he wondered if it'd just break off if he bend it.

"Stop trying to shove your job off on me!" The pile became pointy. "Mellissë's also joining, she can be in charge."

"Starting to wonder why I got you if I can't use you."

"Nyeh!"
