The mood was cheerful this winter in Pallet Town as the yearly Winter Festival was just days away. Ash, finally home for once, calls each of his friends but something seems amiss for one of them when talking with her; Iris. Determined to find out why and to hopefully help her, the Ketchum's invite Iris to their home! Who could have thought that one phone could lead to so much joy?

Hi. My name is Snowy.

I know that these are probably the chapters that you hate seeing the most but... it needs to happen.

You Have Us Now is the first piece of fanfiction that I have ever written and it has gotten me into the hobby but, to be honest, It's just not coming together the way I wanted it to.

I started, I had no idea what I was doing, and I set myself a shaky foundation to build this story off of. Things such as how Hoenn and Unova were swapped in the timeline, Mewtwo's appearance, and so many other things that I look back on and think 'I could have done that better.'

Bear in mind that YHUN wasn't going to just be YHUN. I had plans and ideas for this story that stretch out at least two years into the future of these versions of these characters.

I still have those plans, too! I so desperately want to show you all what I had planned for other characters such as May, Cynthia, and even Wes and Rui, which I was so excited about! I still am excited about them, too! I so desperately want to write their stories in this universe.

But not now. Not yet. I'm simply not where I would like to be skill-wise. This fic has been struck with the curse of 'First fic, high ambition' and there is only one, proper way to fix it.

If I want to properly tell the story I want to tell, if I really want to look back at this story and say that I am proud of it, then I need to rewrite it entirely.

If I want this picture used for the cover art to have the impact that I feel it deserves, that I want it to deserve, then I need to let YHUN go and come back to it at a later date.
