Chapter 19: RoboCop and Bue Line.

(Three hundred and four thousand, six hundred and third Quantic Universe Earth, Paris, France, Tuesday, October 6th, 2015, third person POV...)

In the Dupain-Cheng bakery, Sabine prepares Tom for his presentation at the school.

Marinette comes up and asks, "Ready, Papa?"

Tom answers, "As much as I'll ever be."

Tom and Marinette leave the house.

Sabine calls out after them and waving back at Tom as he waves at her, "Happy Career Day, my darlings!"

In Francoise Dupont, Marinette and Tom look at Adrien and Marinette asks, "Adrien? Are you alright?"

Adrien replies, "No. He wouldn't come, and it's because he's more focused on either his job or his business as a terrorist. I f(bleep!) hate him."

Marinette and Tom comforted Adrien as he had his breakdown.

Later, in Ms. Bustier's classroom which is now Mr. Bariani's classroom, Tom says as everyone listens and as Nino records the whole thing with his phone, "My day begins at four a.m. every morning because the bakery has to be open at seven a.m. You'd think that the life of a baker is pretty much the exact same routine every day, making the exact same pastries, rolls, cakes, cookies, and so forth. But in actuality, it's not. It's actually different every day. One day, someone might order a cake in the shape of the Eiffel Tower, and another day, you might – "

As Tom went on without going into too much details, Adrien visibly relaxed himself, knowing that if it ever came down to it in the future, even if he couldn't marry Marinette as an adopted brother or even raise a family with her the natural way because of him being a Sentimonster, he'd gladly accept Tom Dupain as his father.

Adrien remembers clear as day Marinette saying that the phone voice when he reached the voicemail of Gabriel's office sounds like a man with a gravelly voice equivalent to Batman and Cole MacGrath form the first Infamous video game by Sucker Punch Productions put together, if such a thing was possible.

Tom finishes, and everyone applauds.

Tom then says, "Marinette will come around and pass out some croissants that were baked fresh this morning."

Mr. Bariani then says as Marinette starts walking around, "Thank you, Mr. Dupain. Now, let's meet Alya's mom, Ms. Cesaire, who is the head chef of the Grand Paris Hotel, owned by Mayor Bourgeois."

Marinette looks at Adrien, and they signal to each other in nodding that they know they have each other, and whether it's Gabriel, Nathalie, or Lila trying to ruin their lives or make everyone turn against them, they're gonna be okay.

Chloe is seen typing into her laptop something important on a document.

Sabrina asks, "What are you working on, Chloe?"

Chloe answers, "Something important that I'll only spare details about when it's time."

Mayor Bourgeois then says, "You may want to save your progress, Chloe; now's not the time to work on anything important on your laptop."

Chloe nods before doing so and before putting her laptop away.

Chloe then notices Marinette passing out croissants and says, "Sabrina, you can have one, but I'm already full from my breakfast at the hotel this morning."

Sabrina nods in understanding and then takes an offered croissant.

Marinette then asks, "Out of curiosity, what did you have for breakfast that you're turning down a croissant that comes from my parents' bakery, something you, Sabrina, and Adrien love?"

Chloe answers, "Long story short, I had six different breakfast dishes that are commonly served in IHOP Paris' across the city, and I had eaten them in slightly medium-sized portions because, for some reason, I woke up hungrier than what should be normal for someone of my exercise regiment and diet."

Mayor Bourgeois, Sabrina, and Marinette cringe in response.

Marinette then says, "Okay, fair enough."

Marinette moves on.

Plagg sees that Chloe didn't buy or bring the bracelet from the original timeline that he accidentally got stuck on his head, and he whispers, "(Softly) Could she have really known about today's events?"

Plagg then smacks his own forehead as he whispers, "(Softly) Of course she did; she's smarter than that thanks to her foreknowledge."

Meanwhile, Marlena Cesaire says, "Unfortunately, I have no dishes to share, but maybe Mr. Bourgeois will invite you all to the hotel and treat you to lunch!"

The students applaud, and Officer Raincomprix chuckles giddily.

Meanwhile, Plagg sneaks into Chloe's bag and sees that she doesn't have the bracelet that he got stuck on his head in the original timeline, but rather she has a slightly bigger bracelet in the shape of the original one.

Plagg then says to himself, "There'll be hell to pay for sure, but I gotta do it."

Plagg balances the bracelet on his head and throws it up into the air but not too high, and he says before saying as he gets it stuck on himself, "He he he he he he he, ha ha. Ohh. Ah!"

The force of the bracelet getting stuck on Plagg causes Chloe's bag to fall to the outer side of her desk and her stuff spills out of it.

Marinette notices this and says as she almost trips over the bracelet box before saying, "Whoa! Guys, we happen to have a bit of a problem."

Mr. Bariani asks, "And what is that, Marinette?"

Marinette answers, "Somehow, someone was playing with something in Chloe's bag and the person in question got her bracelet stuck on something important, and in the attempt to quietly remove it, they spilled the contents of Chloe's bag."

Chloe notices this and notices that the bracelet box was open.

Chloe asks, "Marinette, are you thinking what I am?"

Marinette nods.

Chloe then asks, "Officer Raincomprix, can you please give us some help in finding out what happened?"

Officer Raincomprix answers before pointing out, "I'll do what I can, but if this is because the power source of one of the Miraculous jewels belonging to the Oracle Knights decided to be mischievous, then investigating the footage of the cameras won't be an option."

Sabrina asks, "Why not, Dad?"

Officer Raincomprix answers, "Because, one time, Ladybug introduced me to Tikki, the alien-esque power source for her earrings, and they said that among other things, the alien kwamis can't be perceived by any form of technology not of magical origin, such as 21st century cameras, cell phones, or any form of robots."

Sabrina says, "Okay, that's a good point."

Marinette then asks in a singsongy manner, "#Ohhh, Plagg, Cat Noir's personal kwami, do you by any chance have anything to say for yourself?#"

Plagg remains silent, scared of being caught.

Marinette then takes out a piece of cheese bread and says, "#Oh, Plagg, you wouldn't be interested in this cheese bread from my parents' bakery by any chance, would you?#"

Plagg zooms over to the cheese bread with an excited shout, making everyone gasp as they look at him, but then, he smells pepper and sneezes hard enough to make the bracelet fall off him.

Marinette picks up the bracelet and hands it to Chloe.

Marinette then says sternly, "Plagg, you should know better than to play with something that isn't yours. I mean, what if someone unscrupulous in our school decided to try to accuse me of stealing Chloe's stuff while pushing for me to be arrested? How much do you think you're willing to bet that there'd be hell to pay?"

Plagg shivers under Marinette's Gravedigger expression.

Officer Raincomprix then says, "And in addition, if any of Mr. Bariani's students was Cat Noir, you could've put him in serious danger of being exposed."

And as far as Marinette could hear in the midst of the arguing, the exact same thing that happened to begin the original Rogercop incident was happening in Ms. Bush's class.

And Marinette scowled at the confirmation that Mayor Bourgeois' political opponent for five years, political secretary Maurice Bushway, was as incompetent and power-abusive as Mayor Bourgeois' original timeline counterparts when he chose to fire Officer Kurt Rogers for refusing to do his job the way that Maurice wanted.

Officer Rogers walks away after kneeing Bushway in the nuts, leaving everyone shocked.

In Hawk Moth's lair, the window opens and Hawk Moth remarks, "Parent-child relationships can be so overly complicated and overwhelming. And that is the perfect breeding ground for stress. When there's no more law and order, there's only chaos left."

Hawk Moth turns a butterfly into an Akuma and says, "Fly away, my evil little Akuma, and take control of this policeman!"

The Akuma flies off to Officer Rogers' police car.

In his car, Officer Rogers snarls, "Hrrgh! He expects me to break the law not like what Mayor Bourgeois would've done to Officer Raincomprix if they were in our positions? That's just criminally wrong!"

The Akuma flies into his car and infects his whistle.

Hawk Moth remarks, "Rogercop, I am Hawk Moth. This city needs a truly ruthless righter of wrongs, and that is where you come in."

Kurt/Rogercop replies darkly, "Yes sir!"

Kurt is turned into an exact replica of the original Rogercop and his car is turned into an exact replica of Rogercop's Akumatized car.

As he gets out of his car, Rogercop answers, "(Robotic voice) Affirmative. The Oracle Knights will be powerless against me, and justice will prevail in the streets of Paris."

Meanwhile, in Pipevine's observatory, she senses the positive emotions of happiness, gratitude, satisfaction, and confidence from Officer Clifford Ritchey, a Parisian police officer dedicated to his job without Roger's flaws who got promoted to Sergeant after catching a mime-themed bank robber and mass murderer last night.

Pipevine then says, "Well, ain't this refreshing. A police officer who got promoted to Sergeant. Well, at least this cop will be the first out of two champions to help us against the new Rogercop."

Pipevine makes a Kamiko and says as she sends it off, "Fly on, little Kamiko, and empower this police sergeant."

The Kamiko flies off to find Officer Ritchey.

Meanwhile, Flat Sparrow senses the positive emotions of enthusiasm, hope, pride, and happiness from police officer Bruce Redmon, a Parisian police officer who got enough of a clean record to potentially get promoted and get new privileges.

Flat Sparrow remarks, "A police officer who might get promoted soon enough. Now, that's what I call happiness."

Flat Sparrow makes a Guard and says, "Go on, my friendly Guard, and empower this happy police officer."

The Guard makes its way to Officer Redmon's badge, whistle, police hat, and taser pistol before splitting to merge with them.

Flat Sparrow says, "RoboCop, I am Flat Sparrow. I'm granting you the powers and extra mobility you'll need to help my team to deakumatize Hawk Moth's newest victim, Officer Kurt Rogers aka Rogercop. But beware: he has laser cannons that can shoot both laser beams and laser handcuffs that can make you do whatever it is that Rogercop tells you to do along with being controlled by a single blow of his police whistle."

Officer Redmon/RoboCop replies, "You got yourself a deal, Flat Sparrow."

Officer Redmon turns into an exact replica of the original RoboCop combined with the 2014 version in terms of the extra mobility needed to run and in terms of having all of the weapons the two versions of RoboCop uses, either temporarily or permanently. Albeit while fully armored and equipped with his jetpack.

RoboCop gets in his car and drives safely to Francoise Dupont.

Meanwhile, the Kamiko makes its way to Officer Ritchey's car and merges with his badge, I.D. card, taser pistol, police car, and cell phone.

Pipevine then says, "Blue Line, I'm Pipevine. I'm granting you the powers and lots of extra mobility, durability, strength, speed, and comfort in your battlesuit that you'll need to help my team and Flat Sparrow's Guard champion to deakumatize Hawk Moth's newest victim, Officer Kurt Rogers aka Rogercop. But beware: he has laser cannons that can shoot both laser beams and laser handcuffs that can make you do what Rogercop tells you to do along with being controlled by a single blow of his police whistle."

Officer Ritchey/Blue Line remarks in reply, "Yes ma'am."

Officer Ritchey turns into Blue Line, an exact replica of Judge Dredd combined with RoboCop, Rorschach, John Constantine, Captain America, Commissioner Gordon as Batman, Hawkman, and Spider-Man put together in terms of superhero characters who are at some point or another employed as police officers.

Blue Line gets into his own police cruiser and drives to the school.

In Francoise Dupont, in Mr. Bariani's classroom, Tom asks Mayor Bourgeois, "Any idea how Marinette and Chloe knew about Cat Noir's power source being mischievous just because he was sort of an alien godlike being who tends to act more childish than any of his kind?"

Mayor Bourgeois answers, "No idea, sir; and I'm afraid that your guess is as good as mine."

Mr. Bariani then says, "Sirs, I don't wish to interrupt your important discussion, but I do have reason to believe that Officer Kurt Rogers was Akumatized."

Chloe promptly sounds the Akuma Alert on her phone, and in the commotion, Tom, Marinette, Adrien, and Chloe slip away unseen to become Jean Velvet, Ladybug, Cat Noir, and Aviator while their clones hid with the others in the Akuma Bunker.

In the Akuma Bunker, "Marinette" asks, "Is everyone okay?"

Everyone makes sounds of affirmatives.

In the streets leading to Francoise Dupont, Ms. Mendeleiev takes the last sip of her drink of a banana, raspberry, blueberry, and mango smoothie before throwing the litter piece on the floor and then crossing the street during a red light without checking for cars. Although there wasn't any cars coming.

Rogercop grabs the litter and says, "(Robotic voice) Hmm."

Rogercop then flies to where Mendeleiev is.

Ms. Mendeleiev asks as she sees Rogercop, "Huh?"

Rogercop says, "(Robotic voice) You're under arrest!"

Ms. Mendeleiev demands, "What?! For what?"

Rogercop answers, "(Robotic voice) You threw a piece of litter on a public sidewalk and then jaywalked and crossed the street in a red light."

Ms. Mendeleiev replies, "Well, I suppose I did, but you can't just arrest me for that; that's more like minor offenses! Who are you anyway? You don't even look like an actual policeman!"

Ms. Mendeleiev starts walking away, but Rogercop deploys his laser cannons and fires laser handcuffs at Ms. Mendeleiev's wrists.

Rogercop then says, "(Robotic voice) I hereby sentence you to trash duty."

Rogercop blows his whistle, and the handcuffs force Ms. Mendeleiev to rapidly move to the trash cans and put trash in them.

Rogercop then says as he makes his way into the school, "(Robotic voice) Nex mission: Seeking justice from Governor Bushway."

Ladybug then clears her throat loudly to catch Rogercop's attention, making him turn around to see the entire roster of the Oracle Knights standing there or hovering a few meters to a few feet off the ground.

In Hawk Moth's lair, Hawk Moth cackles as he remarks, "Mwahahahaha! Perfect! I knew it wouldn't be long before the Oracle Knights showed up to meet their doom!"

Back at the school, Rogercop remarks, "(Robotic voice) Oracle Knights, Paris has a new righter of wrongs. Your services are no longer required."

Ladybug zaps Rogercop with her laser vision, making him groan in pain as he skids back.

Ladybug then says, "Only the Order of the Guardians has the authority to decide whether or not our services are no longer required, you big metal buckethead! And, we ain't gonna just allow you to enforce every law so ruthlessly; that's abuse of power, and that can get you in trouble with your family and Commissioner Lieber."

Rogercop begins to charge, but then, RoboCop and Blue Line show up.

Rogercop then charges towards RoboCop, but he uses his newfound mobility and agility to his advantage, executing his superb Krav Maga, Kung-Fu, Jiu Jitsu, Aikido, Karate, Taijutsu, Sambo, Jeet Kune Doo, Jailhouse Rock, and Capoeira skills to get Rogercop on the ropes.

But then, half a minute later, Rogercop overpowers RoboCop and then knocks out Blue Line.

Ladybug snarls, "Impossible! No Akumatized villain can ever overpower Kamikotized champions!"

Ladybug heats up the string of her yoyo and lassos Rogercop, but he avoids the yoyo.

Rogercop then sees Mayor Bourgeois and Governor Bushway escaping in Andre's limousine.

Rogercop goes to shoot Mayor Bourgeois and Governor Bushway in unison, but Cat Noir jumps and lands hard on his cannon arm, making him unintentionally and also intentionally switch his cannon ammo to GPS tracker device ammo. And the GPS tracker device lands on the car.

Rogercop then says, "(Robotic voice) You are obstructing justice, Cat Noir. You are going to pay for this."

Rogercop aims his cannons, but then, the heroes manage to get Rogercop on the ropes with distraction attacks left, right, center, front, and rear.

Then, RoboCop does the infamous Falcon Punch and Rogercop is knocked out cold.

Ladybug takes the whistle and breaks it before purifying the Akuma.

In an instant, every form of damage done by Rogercop while not necessarily including actual damages is undone, and Ms. Mendeleiev is set free while the tracker device on Mayor Bourgeois' limousine disintegrates.

Rogercop is turned back into Kurt Rogers.

Kurt asks, "Huh? What am I doing here?"

The heroes share rapid-fire fist bumps, and then Cat Noir says, "As Rogercop would say, (Robotic voice) Justice has prevailed in the streets of Paris. (Normal voice) Anyway, let's get going; we got other pressing matters to attend."

The heroes disperse, and Pipevine and Flat Sparrow release their Kamiko and Guard, turning Blue Line and RoboCop back to normal.

In Hawk Moth's lair, Hawk Moth snarls, "You may have eluded me this time, Oracle Knights, but I assure you, one of these days, I'll be ruling the world! And neither of you will be part of it!"

In Marinette's bedroom, after having dealt with the debacle that was Governor Bushway being incompetent to the point where he was fired and arrested, Marinette looks over her Akumatized villain list before saying, "Ugh, great. Here comes Mylene's first Akumatization into Horrificator."

Tikki asks, "What is it about the Akumatization that you find even worse this time around?"

Marinette answers in lengthy detail for the first reason, "These things that the Travelers told me, that neither of us knew back in the original timeline about how Mylene's Akumatization and the fake horror movie being disqualified happened in the first place, things that we didn't know before: first, Mylene is the most easy to scare in our class, and Alix should've been cast as the female lead character regardless of whether or not she wanted to take part in being part of the cast, especially since she's not afraid of anything."

Tikki inquires, "Why Alix?"

Marinette answers, "Because Alya is one of the writers and she can't do two things at once without being given an assortment of clones. Chloe is also one of the writers in the same position as Alya, so she'd be out too. On the other hand, I may have been the bestest choice this time around because of Chloe's request and my years of acting lessons in this timeline, but all the same, Juleka has trouble voicing herself so she would also be out due to a lack of volume. Sabrina and Rose among others were also possible, but the best choice for the role of the female lead this time around would be Alix."

Tikki's eyes widened as she replies, "Oh. I see."

Marinette continues in lengthy detail, "And secondly, the horror movie worth watching doesn't have romance in any scene other than the beginning scenes unless the main characters aren't on emotional journeys which include missions for revenge. And thirdly, as Aziel surmised when he requested for Nino to not be the sole director for the movie – specifically this time around – the way Nino had been hard on Mylene not being able to overcome her fears in the movie is not the proper way for movie directors to treat the actors working for them. If any of us acted like that in real life, even movie studios will never want to work with either of us. Being a director for a movie working for a movie studio means having patience for slip ups and slight forms of incompetence. If a movie director doesn't have any patience, their employees will walk out on them and the director's own employers will fire them and potentially have them blacklisted from the modern entertainment industry."

Tikki replies, "Ohhhh. So, that was why Mylene was Akumatized in the first place back in the other timeline, Chloe being a brat aside."

Marinette replies back, "Exactly, Tikki. We gotta make sure that it never happens again. 'Cause if it does, Nino's gonna be in even more hot water than he should've been originally."
