Gempa sighed. As the adrenaline left them, he could see the extent of exhaustion plastered all over his groupmate's face. The holder of the earth element shifted his back. He takes a glance at the sleeping figure on his back, so silent in his sleep.
'I have to be strong, for everyone,' that's the very thought of keeping Gempa looking tall. He is the leader. He should be the one shouldering negative thoughts and making sure that their group stays positive.
They're currently walking north as per Blaze's suggestion, who keeps insisting that their left side is the north, and everyone was too tired to protest in the wake of the fact that one of them is gravely injured.
Gempa hopes the Universe shows mercy after everything that happened today.
"—It's okay, papa~ Pipi will buy you a new one for you." The innocent little girl, the only one who looks so strong right now, gives encouragement to her father as the spaceship that takes and saves them slowly turns into metal, unrecognized.
Ah, Gempa is not following what Pipi is even talking about.
"Aren't spaceships supposed to take a long time to be made? and it's wasting too much money to buy?" Gopal asks, he is trying to ease the tensions that have been going on around them as the usual boboiboy brothers have grown too silent.
"I never knew you knew something about the price of a spaceship, Gopal."
"Hey! At least I take my time to read!"
"Yeah, when there is no food in your brain."
Blaze and Gopal start bickering, lifting up the tension that surrounds them.
"It's true, though. It depends on how large the spaceship is and the technologies that are being integrated into it. Basically, better technology equals a better chance of survival in space." It was Ochobot who answered his question. It even projects the prices of spaceships with its specifications.
"That one looks awesome."
"Nope, that one looks more edgy."
"That pink one looks cute!"
"Alahhh, Justice wants the same one as Spaceship Kebenaran."
"Maybe Nut can do something."
Seeing a bit of normalcy grace them, Gempa chuckles a bit, getting a strange look from Pipi.
"Abang okay?"
"I'm okay. Just thinking about my other siblings"
"Having many siblings must be hard for Abang, eh?"
That makes a tiny smile on Gempa's face stretch.
"It is. My life is full of chaos, and I never wanted to exchange it for anything."
"Ahhhh, Pipi wants siblings tooo"
"You should ask that to your father then." Gempa tried hard to hold his laughter when the sweet girl started harassing his father for a sibling.
"Gempa... never thought of you as vicious," Gopal scaredly says.
"Stress reliever"
"Bad Gempa, go away from my Momma Gempa!"
"I'm not your mom, Blaze."
"You're!" Both his brother and his friend said it at the same time, and it tickled his anger. His hand twitched to give him an ear pinch.
Gempa decided to pinch his nose instead. His mind goes back to his other siblings.
"I hope they're okay..." Gempa says softly, hoping no one hears his prayer to the sky. Although, unfortunately, it is still being heard by everyone.
"I believe they're okay! You know your brothers are crazy, especially that trio." Gopal tries to lighten up the mood, and Gempa smiles in gratitude.
"What do you mean by that?!" Blaze protest. He feels left out.
"Taufan likes to laugh, be it a joke or alone. Thorn likes to talk to plants, and Halilintar is angry without a reason!"
"You're explaining like they have mental issues."
"Exactly!"
Truly, Gempa is tempted to smack Gopal. Welp, Blaze is already doing it in his stead.
"Do you believe that this Hang Kasa can help us?" Blaze huffed after pinching the chubby face of his friend.
"I don't know, but I believe in whatever information that Solar has given to us." At this point, what makes Gempa still move is his belief in his brother.
Blaze frowned. His gaze ended up on Ice, whose skin paled in response to his power realm.
The atmosphere turned gloomy again. Being the cheerful girl she is, Pipi can sense the shift in the atmosphere.
'I should make them happy!' The little girl takes a cute thinking pose and smiles in delight.
"Papa! Pipi has a song!"
The sudden exclamation made one old man, boys, and one power sphera turn to watch the little girl. Pipi starts singing a song with a happy voice. Everyone smiled upon hearing that.
"Ochobot, Do you get some news from Kak Hali or T.A.P.O. P.S?" Gempa whispered, clearly not wanting to change the atmosphere. Gempa wishes that they contact someone out there.
"I can't contact them." That answer makes Gempa's face more sullen.
"Will Ice be alright?" Blaze is already beside him, clearly the song has finished, and the frown is back on his expression again. The holder of the fire element keeps nudging his closest twin to wake up, but the owner of the snow element keeps sleeping like a dead man. They are worried about Ice conditions. Ice would wake up whenever someone nudged him, but now there is no reaction.
'God, please, have mercy with us..."
"How about we take a break? My leg is going to fall off from my body if we keep walking!" Papa Zola suggested it because he saw his students looking weary and tired.
"But Pipi is not tired."
"Because I've been carrying you, dear daughter."
"Eheq~"
"Oh! Right! Sorry, Captain Papa. We should rest for a while. It's already dark," and Gempa can't help but think of something lurking around in this darkness. Gempa, with the help of Blaze, lays Ice on the ground. The bag becomes a makeshift pillow, holding Ice's head.
"If I punch him with my Tumbukan Berapi, will he wake up?"
"I doubt so... I believe Ice would be melting after receiving it, or he would be sleeping forever." Gopal answered it with a joke, and he got a smack from Gempa after saying that.
"Now is not a joking time!"
"Boboiboy!" Ochobot's shout forces them to enter a battle stance.
An eerie aura is circling the group, and suddenly many glowing red eyes pop out of nowhere. One of them jumps with haste and starts targeting one of them.
"HIEEEEEE, WHAT IS THAT?!" Gopal screamed, flashing his flashlight in the direction of the red eye. What they see is an animal resembling a sloth slowly approaching them.
"That's Kang Kong!" Ochobot quickly replied. Its system is still constantly signing data from what remains of T.A.P.O.P.S. data.
"Huh?! Kang Kong?!"
"It is very slow during the day but can be dangerous at night!"
"Are you kidding me?" When Gopal changes the direction of the flashlight, Kang Kongs starts charging at him.
"Waaaaa! APPA! AMMA!"
"Gopal!"
"I see that it is sensitive to light!" Gempa quickly concluded as he saw the unusual behavior of Kang Kong when Gopal pointed the flashlight at it. His mind is already reeling with a million thoughts "Oh my, this will be troublesome."
"If we had Solar with us, he could light up the whole forest with his powers," Blaze says while spreading fire, making a big circle of fire around them. It keeps the animals at bay, but they are still moving.
Blaze has to say he is not that good with this situation, his fire elements may have light, but they are not that strong compared to Solar's light power. Unless he burns down the forest, which might make the animals surrounding them more angry, Blaze can't do anything with his weak fire caused by his depleted stamina and power.
"What are we going to do?!" They are surrounding us!" Many Kang Kongs are eyeing them.
"Oh, man... I don't have much power to maintain the flame!" Blaze is feeling tired right now, He is already using too much energy fighting Retak'ka and escaping.
"Pipi, I believe you should go inside Eggabot'' as soon as he said it Papa Zola immediately hugged the Eggabot to his chest.
Without warning, Blaze's fire suddenly died out, and everything turned black.
"Holy crap...!"
"WAHHHHH?! APEKAH HAL YANG TERJADI INI?!" They're being attacked by Kang Kongs.
"Blaze, can you use your power?!"
"I'm trying!"
The panicking voice that Gempa heard from Blaze only fuelled his desperate survival.
"How long can you hold on?!"
"5 minute!"
"That is the worst!" Gopal shouted.
"Come near me! Kubah Pelindung!" The Earth starts covering them, and not long after, it starts slowly crumbling, clearly making itself known as to how exhausted the owner of said power is.
'Is this the end?' As Gempa's earth wall slowly loses its appearance and the animals start gazing at them hungrily, a being appears in front of them.
"STOP!" his voice said, stopping the animals in their tracks.
"Who?!"
Gempa recognizes Papa Zola shouting, and yet everything starts blurring. He just now realizes that Blaze is already lying on the ground. Gempa wanted to check on his brother when his body began falling over.
"Rest. Don't worry, you're safe..." That person's older voice reminds Gempa of his grandpa. He let darkness take over his consciousness.
