Jennie's POV
Five days.
Five days since she got lost at the amusement park.
Five days that made me crazy my entire life, I don't want it to turn into week. No! I want Lisa to be here. I'll find you baby. Either by hook or by crook I'll definitely search for you, no matter how far or wherever you are in the world honey. No distance could separate me from you- that's how much my desire burns deep inside my heart.
I fight the sadness by making myself busy looking for Lisa, GD find the guy who Kai sold Lisa into- his name was Mino. His file indicates that he was working illegally and was part of a syndicate where they sold human organs or the human itself as a slave. My heart beats loudly in my chest, hoping that Lisa was sold as a slave and not the other way around. I couldn't take it if that happen but I feel she's alive, I can sense her. He's dead anyway since we got the information from him.
I was startled when someone knocks on my door.
"Jennie. Hi" Jisoo opened the door and entered my room along with Chaeng.
"Hey" I gave them a little smile.
"How are you? Feeling a bit better?"
They both sat on my bed facing me, I sigh deeply. Then my eyes started to tear up, my heart is so heavy knowing Lisa is suffering all of this. It's my fault!
"Hey don't cry. Don't ever think it is your fault, we didn't want it to happen. There are just bad people who isn't contented of what their life turns out"
Yeah. Bad people who hurt the only one I'd ever loved my entire life.
Jisoo and Chaeng know what exactly happened to Taehyung and Kai, they didn't said a word. They saw me get home all bloody that night, I was so quiet that silence starts to kill me. I told them the story when morning came and they're both shocked, but later on they said the two deserved such death. They also watch the video of Lisa being tortured.
"But of all people...why it has to be Lisa?!? FUCKING WHY?!?"
Chaeng hug me tightly "Jen calm down. We will find her soon"
My phone rings, I peek and I greedily answered the call.
"Hello?!?"
"Miss Kim. We found her location"
I burst into tears "Oh my god"
"We are now preparing to go to the place miss, are you going with us?"
"Y-Yes!"
"Copy miss. We'll fetch you"
He end the phone call.
"So? What's the news?!?"
"They found her location Chaeng! Finally! Oh my god!"
"REALLY?!? Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!"
The three of us hurriedly went out and stayed a bit waiting for GD to pick us up, later on he arrived and drive us to where my Lisa is. I'm coming honey.
Fastforward
We used my private ship going to an island, it wasn't the main place where Lisa is. It's where they sell her. My men are heavily armed with deadly weapons in case the situation went bad.
"Oh fuck. Is that the heiress of Kims? Shit this will be big time!"
"That's her! Boss should know!"
The bad guys began to form groups not minding about their own business. Later on the police force arrived and arrest them one by one, the head officer went to me.
"Thank you Miss Kim for informing us about this kind of transactions, you are a great help on our country"
"Pleasure" I shortly replied.
I think he got the sign I'm giving off as he didn't said any word, leaving us behind.
"Jennie. Is she here?" Jisoo search on the groups of people the police rescued.
"Not here unnie. She was brought to another place. She was bought by an asshole"
"WHAT? So it means she's still in danger?" Chaeng said with wide eyes.
I nod "That's why we need to hurry"
GD lead us to an armored car, my mind can't think straight and the beating of my heart is unusual. It's like something bad will happen. I hope not.
"Relax Jennie, we will see her now"
Jisoo hold my hand, I lean my head on her shoulder.
The car ride was silent and the place started to get creepy, the road isn't cemented at all. Then the car went into a halt, GD instruct us to keep low since we are on a restricted area.
"Miss, I suggest that you should stay here and we will get her for you"
"NO. I'll come"
"Miss its dangerous"
"Jennie I think we should stay here" Chaeng grab my arm lightly.
"But Chaeng, I need to see Lisa now. I can't let myself wait here like a kid waiting for her mom to pick her up"
Jisoo sigh "Jen just listen to us. Stay here"
I look at my wristwatch, it was 7:05 in the evening. The cold breeze gives chills to my skin and gives shiver down my spine. They went inside the property, we are left behind with the other men.
Then the shooting began. Gunshots everywhere that made me stand up and ready to ran. Shit. What's happening?
"JENNIE! DON'T!"
Chaeng grab my hand.
"Let me go! Lisa is in trouble! She needs me!"
"Jen even if you go there what can you do huh? Shoot those bad guys too? What if you were shot?!? Lisa would be heartbroken!"
"Fuck! Let me go!"
"No Jen"
I glare at her and she finally let go of me, I grab one of my men's gun and hurriedly run. There are people running everywhere and GD was busy shooting at those bad guys. When he saw me he immediately cover me up, I successfully went inside. My eyes quickly search for that one person I'm always looking forward to see and there she was being dumbfounded of what is happening. Her eyes was showing fear and tears slowly fell down from her cheeks. I suddenly felt pain on my heart upon seeing what she looks like- all ragged and dirty.
"Lili!"
Her attention falls into mine and she started sobbing.
"N-Nini!" she was about to run but there's a guy who showed up.
"FUCK ALL OF YOU!!!" he point his gun towards Lisa.
It's like everything turns into a slowmo, I run to where Lisa is as she looks at the guy. I covered her with my own body as I close my eyes then heard multiple gunshots.
I didn't feel any pain- am I not shot? As I open my eyes I saw a pair of hands hugging us. There's someone who saved us. The person fell down and she was staring at Lisa with a smile.
"J-Jeongyeon u-unnie" Lisa tremble as she kneel down holding that person's face.
The guy who fired was already dead, I saw GD not far from us.
"N-Nini...h-help her.."
"L-Limario...n-no need...I d-don't wanna l-live anymore a-anyway...G-Go home Lisa. Go home"
"NO! U-Unnie! P-Please...Nini help her...hey don't s-sleep"
"It's o-okay L-Lisa. I'm g-gonna be o-okay, p-please don't c-cry. Y-You l-look like a g-gorilla" she chuckled.
After a few seconds she started to cough blood and her eyes slowly droop.
"Take c-care of y-yourself. S-She must be y-your guardian. H-Hey...t-take care of L-Limario...she's k-kinda dumb b-but cute.."
"U-Unnie"
"I will Jeong"
She smiled at us then her breathing becomes slow, she close her eyes and face her death with a slight smile.
Lisa slightly tap the girl's cheek. I hug Lisa from behind.
"Lisa, she's gone"
"No! She's sleeping! Help her Nini! Help her! Jeong unnie wake up!"
I held her in my arms as she didn't stop from crying, I'm here Lisa. Sorry for your loss, sorry for making you lose your friend this early. Whoever you are Jeongyeon, I owe my life to you. I'll make sure to thank you everyday.
