Jennie's POV
We are now heading to where Seulgi and Irene's restaurant is, my heart beats wildly in my chest. I hope everything will happen as what I expected it to be but I'm doubting, I'm sensing there would be trouble.
Chaeng must have notice the stress on my face as she holds my hand.
"Jennie relax. We are here to help you clarify things"
I smiled a little "Thanks Chaeng for understanding me. I hope you keep what happened to Lisa, I'm sure they'll not let it pass...worst is they won't forgive me"
"It's okay Jennie. We will keep it til we die"
"Ya! Don't include me. I'll live til I want duh" Jisoo commented.
She was beside Lisa who is now calm and busy eating some chocolates, Jisoo gave it to her as peace offering so she accepted it with wide smile.
"Okay die alone tsk!" Chaeng said with a frown.
"I'm joking babe! Geez"
The car stops and we realized that we are now infront of the restaurant, it wasn't that busy inside.
"Waaahh! Irene unnie! Seulgi unnie!" Lisa excitedly said as she saw the restaurant.
The driver opened the door and we all went out, Lisa ran inside. We followed her behind.
"Relax Jen. You can do this"
I heaved a sigh. Yeah I can do this.
"Lisa!!!! Oh my god you gained weight a little! You seem heavy now" Seulgi commented when she carried Lisa.
"Yeah! Nini take care of me!"
"Lisa baby! We missed you so much!" Irene said teary eyed.
Seulgi put down Lisa, Irene hug her tightly not wanting to let her go.
"Unnie I miss you too! You never visit me!"
"Baby we want to but there's someone who doesn't allows us to come over" Irene rolled her eyes at me.
That's the time I spoke.
"Irene...Seulgi...can we talk"
"Aren't you talking now?!?" Irene said in annoyance.
"I mean the formal way"
"Wow! Formal way? You have that? Because as far as I know you only talk by force!"
"Unnie she's sincere, please hear her out first" Chaeng plead.
"Sincere? After what she did?!? Chaeng this girl almost destroyed our lives!"
"I'm here to make things right Irene. Please I'm sorry"
She stared blankly at me.
"Unnie...are you two fighting?" Lisa said in a sad voice.
"W-We are not fighting Lisa"
"Then why are you shouting at Nini? Did she do something wrong???"
Irene couldn't reply so I answered.
"No honey, we aren't fighting okay?"
She nod at me "Okay Nini"
"I think we must sit down first and talk about this calmly, the two of you don't want Lisa to see you fighting right? Please?" Seulgi plead.
"Okay" I mumbled.
We all sat on an empty place near the window, Lisa sat beside me even if Irene wants her. She was playing with my hands, counting it from my thumb up to my pinky finger.
"So what do you want to talk about? In particular Jennie" Irene started with sternly voice.
"About the contract we made before"
"Oh you wanna add another rule isn't it? What is it again this time Jennie? You would totally shut us not to see Lisa? You're being..."
She abruptly stop when Seulgi hold her hand "Calm down Irene"
"I want to revoke the contract Irene. I want us to have a new start, not bind by any contract. Forget about the payment just please let me be with Lisa"
"What made you change your mind? Maybe you're up into something again. You don't usually ask people nicely"
"Irene I'm serious and sincere, give me a chance to prove it. I'm trying to change myself"
"I don't care Jennie! You ruined my impression to you!"
"U-Unnie..." Lisa said scaredly.
"What's your intention Jennie? Tell me" Irene said calmly.
"Well...Lisa and I...we...had sex already"
"WHAT?!? FUCK YOU JENNIE! I entrusted Lisa to you and now I'll find out you took advantage of her? What kind of person are you?!? You're horrible!" she slap me which made Seulgi grab her.
It was painful but I can handle...for Lisa.
"Irene listen please. I didn't force her to do it with me"
"THAT'S BULLSHIT JENNIE! Do you think I'll believe you?!? FUCK YOU!"
"U-Unnie y-you're scaring me..."
"Irene please let me finish first"
"Then what? Make a fool of us again? I knew you're up to something since from the start! How dare you take advantage of Lisa! You're horrible Jennie!"
"Irene..."
"This talk is over. Lisa will stay with us from now on"
"No! You can't do that"
She scoff "If you're sincere then agree"
"Nooooo! I don't want Nini to go away unnie! Please" Lisa plead.
She was hugging my waist tightly.
"Hand her to me Jennie. I don't want Lisa to learn bad things from you"
"But Irene I take care of her with my whole heart, I never tried to hurt her. I love her Irene"
"Love? Jennie it's not love! You made her do unholy things with you and only God knows how terrible it is for Lisa"
This time Jisoo butt in "Excuse me Irene but you're being inconsiderate. Let Jennie speak"
"Me being inconsiderate? Why don't you say that to your cousin. She started all this fuss!"
"Irene unnie...p-please let me stay with Nini"
"No Lisa. You can now go back to us baby, you don't have to endure anymore. You're free"
"but I want Nini!"
Irene glared at me.
"Lisa baby, I think you need to listen to your unnie first"
I put my guard down because I want to be in good terms with Irene- besides she's Lisa's guardian from the start. I want to get her approval rather than having an argument with her again. I can't risk to make another mistake.
"N-No N-Nini...Irene unnie is g-good...she w-will s-say y-yes...Unnieeee"
"Lisa lets go. You need to get away from hed"
"She's not bad unnie! I love her! Nini loves me too!" she's now shouting.
"Honey please listen to Irene. When things are good I'll be back"
Lisa started crying "But I d-don't w-want you to g-go! P-Please s-stay Nini...pleaseee"
Although my heart breaks upon the sight of her pleading to me, I can't say that I will stay. I want to clear things out with Irene but she doesn't want to open her mind to me. I know our start is so bad that I couldn't blame her for being mad at me.
"Honey, I promise to be back. For now you stay with Irene unnie. Okay?"
"Noooooo! I don't want! I wanna stay with you! I don't want to stay here Nini!"
It's like the tables are flip. This was the scene we had when they hand Lisa to me, she didn't want to go. She almost throw tantrums the whole time. I know she's hurting but I can't do anything but to agree with Irene- to prove that I'm not horrible.
"Lisa. Stay away from her. She's bad"
"NO! YOU'RE BAD UNNIE!"
"Lisa!" Seulgi yelled a little "She's your unnie"
"Please unnie don't let Nini go away!"
Irene kept silent, so it was a sign that she really want me out.
"Thanks for the talk Irene. We will leave now, Lisa baby you behave okay? I love you" I kiss her forehead.
She was now crying loudly that made my heart broke into million pieces. Her hug was so tight indicating that she doesn't want to let go.
I tried to remove her hand but she was so strong.
"N-No Nini! Don't let go!"
"Baby I have to. I promise to be back"
I look at Seulgi giving her some hint that she should drag Lisa away. She removed Lisa's hand and hold her, that's the time I move aside so we can go. She was wiggling and fighting Seulgi.
"Let go of me unnie! No! Nini! Help me Nini! Don't go pleaseeee!" she was trying to push Seulgi but she can't.
Irene look at me blankly.
"Irene, I never have any bad intention to Lisa. I learned to love her because she's not hard to love. If you want to talk again just call me. Please take care of her" I can't control my emotions anymore that's why my tears fall from my eyes "I'm...g-going"
"NINI! NOOOOO!"
I look at Lisa and smiled at her "You'll be okay baby, don't be naughty and behave. I will miss you"
"N-Nini please..." she was breathing heavily because of moving too much.
I turn my back on her as my tears flow nonstop, I can't bear to see Lisa in that situation. Although I want to oppose Irene, I want to prove her that I'm sincere. That I can sacrifice not being with Lisa. If that's the only way I can earn her trust then I'll do it.
We are now inside my car and the driver start the engine, it started to move but I heard Lisa shouting outside.
"Niniiii don't gooooo! Don't leave me pleaseee!!!!"
I look back only to see Lisa chasing our car, her tears flow from her eyes. Behind her was Seulgi and Irene running after her.
"Drive faster" I demand.
"Yes miss"
As the car move fast, Lisa was now being left behind as she fell down. Seulgi and Irene hug her. We will see each other again Lisa. But I don't know when. Goodbye Lisa for now.
