Danny and Penny pulled up to the Proud's driveway. Danny smiled, looking at his girlfriend and her new shorter hairstyle. "Have I told you that you look beautiful?" he asked, walking over to the passenger side and opening the door for her.

"Several times when you picked me up from my dorm and plenty more while we were on the ."Then you're due again," he said, offering him to help to her feet, "because you look beautiful."

Penny smiled, standing on her. Shetoes. She gave him a peck on the cheek. "Thanks, boo," she said before the two walked arm-in-arm toward the front door

The two college students walked side by side up the driveway towards his girlfriend's house. Knocking on the door, Danny wasn't too surprised when Penny's uncle Bobby answered it.

"Hey, it's Danny and Penny, y'all," he sang into a microphone, hugging his niece before patting Danny on the shoulder. Stepping aside, he let the two in.

Once inside, Danny and Penny were quickly greeted by Bebe and Cece. Penny hugged them. "oh, look at you two. You get bigger and bigger whenever I see you," she gushed over the two. "I missed you guys."

"You could have stayed local, then you wouldn't miss them so much," Oscar commented. Penny rolled her eyes, knowing her daddy was teasing

"Hi, Daddy," she said, kissing him on the cheek and doing the same with her mom and Suga Mama while Danny just smiled, watching the happy family moment

And then it had to go and get ruined when his ghost sense went off. "I can't get one weekend to myself," he grumbled. "hey, Penny, I'll be back."

"Go be a hero, boo dinner will be ready when you get back," Penny said, being totally understanding.

Danny nodded before stepping back onto the porch and going ghost. He flew around, looking for any sign of the ghost that could have set off his ghost sense.

"Okay, where are you?" Danny asked before seeing in the distance coming closer a swarm of green ghosts flying at him. Danny formed ecto energy along his lower arm before swinging out, cutting through the little ghosts.

"Cute trick, Lydia. What next? Going to pull a rabbit out of your hat?" Danny quipped, expecting Freakshow's tattooed-covered flunky. Danny wasn't expecting the little tattoos he'd wrecked to regenerate and come back together into a new ghost that Danny hadn't seen before

He was as tall as Danny with snow-white skin and glowing green eyes. He had black hoop earrings pierced in his ear. He wore a black vest over a red dress shirt, the sleeves rolled up to the elbows, the exposed skin covered in tattoos, dark slacks, and dress shoes

"You definitely aren't Lydia," Danny said, not knowing who this ghost was

"No, but I can't blame you for noticing the family resemblance," the new ghost said before the tattoos on his arm formed into a long blade at the end of his hand.

"Family resemblance," Danny wondered.

The new ghost, whoever he was, rushed forward at Danny, swinging with his blade. Danny, acting fast, turned into green smoke, his body blowing to the side before reforming and throwing a punch. The new ghost parried before holding up his other hand and hitting him with a ghost ray that shot Danny point blank in the chest, sending him flying back through the sky.

Danny straightened out before his eyes glowed ice blue, shooting ice beams from his eye. The new ghost took a deep breath before breathing a stream of fire that made a cloud of steam.

The new ghost looked around through the steam, looking for any sign of Danny

"Looking for someone?" Danny asked before hitting him with a punch, sending him flying towards the ground and diving like a bullet. Danny hit him with another punch before he crashed into the street, sending him flying down the street.

Danny fired a second ghost ray, pinning him to a streetlight.

Landing next to the ghost, Danny was surprised when rings passed over his body. The tattoos and the fancy outfit changed to a goth-looking guy who had to be in his twenties. He was still bald and pale, but his eyes, instead of green, were red.

So Danny could connect the dots, especially with the family resemblance comment.

"You're Freakshows and Lydia's son," Danny deduced. "okay, first, eww, second, they're in prison. There's no way they have a kid."

Freakshow's son laughed; that was still an ew in Danny's head.

"I thought I could beat you when you were younger, but you're too tough for me even now. Oh, we'll be time for plan B; I wish to travel in time."

Green smoke rose out from behind Danny, taking the shape of Desiree. "so you have wished it, so it shall be," Desiree said with an evil grin as everything around them vanished.

Around Danny, everything began to change; a white glow enveloped everything.

Instantly worried for Penny, Danny was about to fly back to the Proud's house when a hand grabbed him, pulling him through a portal. Danny looked at who grabbed him, and seeing who it was surprised him.

"Bobby"

"Good thing I grabbed you in time, Danny boy," he said. "if you'd stayed out there, you would have been changed with the rest of the timeline," Bobby explained, "and that would have been bad."

"Because Freakshow, son, he's working with Desiree. He said he wished to go back in time," Danny said, looking around him. They were a high-tech-looking hallway. The portal, wherever it was, was gone. "where are we?"

"You are standing in the Waverider, a time ship and the home of the Legends of Tomorrow," a voice chimed in from the ceiling, "I must say, Captain Proud, it's a welcome surprise to have you back on board."

"Captain?" Danny asked, surprised. He watched as Bobby put a hand on the wall with a smile. "thank ya, Gideon, it's good to be back," he said before turning to Danny. "come on, Danny boy, let's go to the bridge, and meet the rest of the team we got some work to do."

"What kind of work?" Danny asked
