Chapter2- Awakening and the Imp

The first thing Izuku Midoriya felt when he woke up was…nothing, he felt absolutely fine.

Which is odd because he remembers everything, his bullies, the fall, the pain…and then…something worse.

The memories flood in, his limbs and organs being pulled out of him, he passed out when his heart was ripped out.

Shaking, the young man holds his stomach, finally noticing his new arms. He breathes heavy, holding the new appendages out, he slowly moves his fingers one by one. They move when they tell him to, but he can't feel them, and something looks off with how they move, he can't explain it.

When he finally calms down, he tries to gather his surroundings. He's on an examination table in a well lit room, with various metal appendages and machinery (that Izuku did not understand the nature of) layed sloppily on tables around him. There's a staircase with a door at the top, "am I in a basement?"

Izuku grips on the side of the table, unknowingly leaving indents on the side. He moves to where his legs dangle off the table, and tries to push himself off, but he ends up propelling him forward and hitting the wall hard enough to leave a dent.

Midoriya grips his face instinctively, but soon realizes he feels no pain. He tries to get up, but when he puts his hand down on the floor, it completely buries itself in the concrete.

"You should really be careful"

Izuku jumps up with enough force to hit the ceiling, crashing back down and reaching up to grab his head on instinct, but again he feels no pain.

"Ha, nice"

Looking to where the voice is coming from, Izuku sees a small boy with purple balls on his head, his eyes are the same as Izuku's, except a dark blue. The boy has a massive scar on his head, and on his back is a dark blue contraption that's connected to his spine. Dark blue scales travel up his spine and split in two, connecting them to a mechanical support on his lower jaw.

But the oddest thing about the boy that Midoriya Izuku at this moment was…

That he was reading a porn magazine.

"Your new limbs haven't been restricted yet, you'll break everything if you keep going"

The short boy doesn't even look at Izuku, far more interested in the magazine he was reading, "how the hell have I not heard of this woman?" He says while looking at a double page spread.

"Who are you?" Izuku finally asks, deciding to listen and not move an inch.

"Names Mineta Minoru, from what the doc told me, you and me are in the same boat.." he says while turning the page "holy hell, that ass"

"What happened to me?" Izuku asks while slowly pulling his hand out of the concrete.

"Same thing that happened to me, you were dying, and the doc gave you some experimental tech in order to fix you up." Mineta turns the page again, "that's not anatomically possible, what's her quirk anyway? I should probably actually read the words…naw".

"I'm sorry, I know your reading but. Could you maybe…stop and explain what's going on…please?" His voice is timid and polite, even in this strange situation, he doesn't want to be rude.

The mini man finally looks up at confused Izuku, "do you remember getting into an accident?"

"Yeah, I fell of a roof"

"Well somehow, the doc found you, and hooked you up some nifty tech that works in tandem with your quirk."

A million questions and statements fill Izuku's mind at once, "but I'm quirkless, how did he find me, was he at the school, why was someone who could do this to me at my school?"

As more questions overflow his mind, the door to the surface opens, and Inko Midoriya comes running down, with the hunchback trying to stop her.

Izuku momentarily forgets about his increased strength, and immediately tries to run to her. The ground cracks, and Izuku goes flying forward towards his mother at mach 1.

Before the two came down stairs.

It was an unusual sight for the three topologics, a green haired woman serving them food, and their mad scientist caretaker seemingly nervous on the phone.

"YOU GAVE HIM THE WHAT!?"

"It was the only system he was compatible with"

"Bullshit! He's my kid, the salamangreat system was meant for me! So he should've been compatible with it!"

"He's also has no quirk, his neural pathways were completely different"

The argument between the hunchback and Hisashi is cut off when they hear a bang come from the basement. Inko stops what she's doing to run down, but is stopped by Logan.

"His restrictions haven't been implanted yet. If you go down there, and he-" he can't finish as the woman pushes him to the side and opens the door.

The hunchback hurries over, reprimanding Logan "why didn't stop her"

"I will not use my quirk on innocents"

The hunchback simply sighs and chases after the woman. All they can see when they pass the door is the Inko, and her son flying towards her.

They try to use one of their bees with the half second they have, but there's no time. Midoriya Izuku is about to splatter his mother against the wall, until suddenly, without warning, he stops dead in his tracks. A halo of light appeared right under Izuku's feet.

Izuku looks up to see Logan, their eyes meeting so the quirkless teen can notice that their eyes are the same, though Logan's is a pure white.

"I will make exceptions for emergencies" Logan says. He lowers his hand, and the halo disappears, causing Izuku to fall to the floor.

Inko goes to hug her son, and Izuku does not move. He stays completely still, the incident that just happened being a heavy reminder that he has to watch his strength.

"Izuku, are you ok, how do you feel!?" Inko asks with tears in her eyes. Izuku still stays motionless, but responds to his mother.

"I-I'm fine mom, I'm just confused" Izuku looks up the stairs to see the hunchback at the top, two bees coming out of there coat and examining Izuku.

"Inko, please move aside," the hunchback asks I'm a calm tone. Inko glares back at them for just a moment, squeezing her child tighter, but relents after a few seconds.

The mad scientist and the new cyborg are at eye level thanks to Midoriya being on all fours. The bees around him go back inside the hunchback's coat and make a ding sound.

"Perfect, you synched up without a problem" they say while placing both of their hands underneath the boy's armpits. "Try to stand up, I promise you won't hurt me"

After a deep breath, Izuku does as instructed. He moves his legs, and almost goes flying in the air, but the grip of the hunchback tightens, stopping him from propelling into the ceiling.

There we go, now, don't move, my name is Dr.Topologina, and I'll explain things in a slow and steady manner.

"So you know my dad?"

"Yes we worked together to make the system keeping you alive right now."

Midoriya Izuku has currently been in the same position for 15 minutes, the hunchback has since told the teen his location, what he was gonna do to him.

While explaining Izuku's current situation, Dr.Topologina spent his time In front of an odd 3d printer. It had been running since before Izuku woke up, and only just now got done creating the final touch on the quirkless teens limiter. They look like dials you would see on an oven, only the size of a dress shirt button.

The Dr calls Mineta over and has him show his back towards Izuku, pointing to four identical dials on the top of the small teens neck. He unscrews one and reveals a small hole in his neck.

"These are your restrictions, each one holds back a rough estimate of 25% of your strength. You all have four of these, and they all must be removed manually, integrating them into the system always ends badly."

The Dr places the first dial in and twists it in, but Izuku doesn't feel pain. Instead he feels his muscles tighten, with each dial the tightness increases, it's like someone is putting locks on his whole body.

"Done, now, try to move around" the doctor commands, and Izuku takes a step forward.

And trips over himself.

He plummets to the ground and lands face first into the concrete. There's no pain, but he is thoroughly confused.

"I move…wrong"

Logan, who was staying silent throughout Izuku's explanation, explains his predicament.

"There's no delay"

Izuku gets up and responds with a simple "what?"

Logan holds his hand out and explains "it takes half a second for the brain to send signals to the body. So there's a half second delay between thinking and doing for most people." he explains as he moves his fingers in a fluid motion.

As Izuku gets back up and begins slowly moving his legs up and down, he starts to understand. "There's no delay anymore"

Logan looks a bit surprised "nice, it took Minoru 3 explanations to piece that together"

The imp looks behind him and shouts "that's because you only explained it like that the 3rd time. The first two were you making weird analogies."

Logan ignores the imps' remarks on his teaching and continues. "It may not sound like much, but that lack of a delay completely trips you up until you're used to it."

The hunchback points to a door on the left "try to walk to the bathroom over there"

And so he does, step by clumsy step, he moves to the bathroom door. When finally manages to reach the door, Inko has a word with the Dr.

"Hisashi only brought up the Firewall System to me once, and was in tears over it"

"I believe you, Hisashi was never cut out for this."

A look of anger washes over Inko, and the Dr quickly rephrases.

"It's a compliment, he's the main reason we abandoned ship, way back when."

Inko shakes her head, "I don't want to hear you reminisce" she says, turning to look the masked hunchback in the eyes. "Will my son be ok?".

"Physically, yes, the system is flawless, and he melded with it without a hitch. Mentally? I have no idea, that depends on him."

Just after the Dr says this, there's a crash and a scream from the bathroom, Izuku finally looked in the mirror.

"MY HAIR!!"
