I quickly dressed.

Michael: Hey Adam. I want to take you and Amy out to dinner. The café that Ames likes?

Adam: perfect bro! But is everything ok?

Michael: Yeah, oc. I just wanted to see you guys, besides I've got a feeling it's going to be a very special night.

We finished getting ready and went to my car. Adam opened my door, and I got in thanking him, before he got in and drove off to the restaurant. Adam and I went in, and the hostess said "Hi, Table for 2?" Adam said "No, actually a table for 4 please." "Okay, that'll be about a ten minute wait." I looked to Adam as he said "That's fine, The names Adam." Before we sat down, in the waiting area. "Why did you say there were four of us?" "That's a surprise. I can't tell you, honey I'm sorry." Adam whispered, as Michael and Luci came in. "Hey guys!" I looked up shocked. "Hey what are you guys doing here? Michael, you hate this restaurant..." "I don't hate it, I just think it's a little, plain. So do we have a table yet?" I said "Not yet..." Adam said "I should've made a reservation..." "It's okay." I laid my head on Adam's shoulder. "Michael, can I have word with you?" Luci and Michael had graduated a couple of years early and were in pre-med. Luci sat with me, while Adam and Michael stepped off to the side to have a whisper conversation. "So, Amy, how are you really?" Luci asked. I said "I'm fine... I guess... Just super nauseous..." "Are you sure we should eat out if you feel nauseous?" She asked.

"Yeah, I'm sure... Trust me what is going on, is completely natural." Luci raised an eyebrow. "Just trust me, it's completely fine..." Adam came over and said "Hey are you Okay?" He asked, looking to me gently. I nodded, once, before Luci said "She's Lying." Adam raised his eye to me, as if to ask 'Is it morning sickness?' I nodded, and He smiled. "She's fine, trust us. It's natural." I mouthed a 'Thank you' to him. "Adam Party of four, your table is ready." The hostess said, as we stood, Adam's arm securing around my waist, as we followed. We sat at the table, Adam on the inside, and me next to him, while Luci and Michael sat across from us.

"Mom's pretty upset with you Amy..." Michael stated. "So? I should care about that why? She shouldn't have treated me like a servant." I said coldly. "Amy. You should've been helping them more. They're older, and weak." Luci scolded. "But it's not my duty to take care of them, It's technically Michaels, as he's the oldest." I argued. "It fell on you cause unlike you, he has a life, and going to college!" Luci stated, which felt like a slap in the face. "EXCUSE ME?!" I started. "I work part time, and I go to school, and a boyfriend, who is the most amazing understanding boyfriend ever! I work from sun up to sundown, Every day! I've actually gotten sick from everything!" Adam grabbed my hand, squeezing it tightly. "But you still need to return home, to your parents! They need your care!" Luci argued. "Luci, stop." "I need some air!" I got up and walked off.

"Amy!" Michael said, as he grabbed my hand, causing me to spin. "WHAT?!" I yelled. "Calm down, this is me. Your Brother. Talk to me. You always talked to me..." He pleaded. "I just want to go home." Michael said "Is this about what Luci said?" I said "Does it matter? You're going to side with her, versus your sister!" Michael frowned. "Amy that's not true..." He started.

"You've been doing it for the past 2 years!" I replied. "I'm sorry, Amy, please." "Fine." I stated. Michael said "Amy, your completely right, and Luci is wrong. It is my responsibility to take care of them, regardless if I'm living there or not. I'm sorry, it fell on you. I'll go to them, and if I have to I'll put them in hospice, since we cannot be there 24-7." I said "and what of the house?" He took a deep breath, and said "Luci and I won't need it, so you should get it, if you wish or we could sell." I said "You'd give us the house?" He nodded. "I would. You and Adam deserve it." I said "Thank you..."

We went back inside and sat back down. "Thank you." Adam said to Michael. "I ordered your favorite, darling." He whispered kissing my head. Luci said "I hope you got her to see reason." Michael said "Enough Luci, Okay, I won't have you upsetting her again." The meal was quiet, and we went to the cars. "Amy wait. Before we get in..." Adam said, kneeling down. "Adam, are you really..." "I am. Amy, We've been friends for years, when we started dating 3 years ago, it's been clear I don't want to be apart from you. You are my soulmate, and I swear I'll protect you and our family for the rest of our lives. I love you more than anything. Will you do me the incredible honor of marrying me?" I felt tears in my eyes, as I said "Yes!" He slid a ring on my finger, as he stood, kissing my lips gently.

Michael said "Congratulations guys. Now, go home and get some rest, I'll pay a visit to mom and dads tomorrow." I said "I want to go with you." Michael looked to me in shock, as Adam said "Amy you can't. You're in no condition..." I looked to him, and said "Adam, I'll be fine. I have Michael. I have to confront them." Adam said "I don't like this..." "You don't have to... But you trust me, right?" He nodded. "You're right." Michael took my hand, and said "What condition?" "I'm pregnant... The test showed I'm at least 3 months, but I won't know, until I get an ultrasound. I'll just go to the free clinic Monday." I said slowly.

Michael said "That's what prompted you to leave?" I nodded. "Don't worry, I will protect you." I smiled. We returned to our homes, and we went to bed.

In the morning I woke and dressed quickly. "Amy, I'm really uneasy about this..." I said "I'll be fine, I have Michael." Adam said "I know... But..." I said "No Buts. Okay? If something happens, you're a phone call away. Just trust me. I have to do this..." Adam said "Okay... Okay... I know you're right..." We pulled on our coats. I picked up my bag. "I mean it Amy. If something happens, I need you to call me." I nod. "I promise." Michael and I got in his car, while Adam got in mine. "He seems on edge." Michael commented as he drove. "He's just uneasy about me going..." "I'm sorry, I'll be here."

We arrived within 10 minutes and parked. We got out of the car, and I said "Whoa..." Michael came over. "Hey what's wrong?" "I just moved too fast... That's all." I said, slowly. "Are you sure?" I nodded, as we walked into the house. "MOM? DAD?" Michael called, as he darted up the steps. "Amy! Call an ambulance!" He shouted as I picked up my phone dialing the emergency line. "Hi, My names Amy... My Address..." I gave the address, before saying "I don't know, We just need 2 ambulances, My brother is upstairs and he just yelled at me to call... Thank you..." I hung up, and went upstairs. "They'll be here in 5." Michael's face looked pale and ashen. "Michael?" I asked, as he looked at me. "Don't come closer. Go wait downstairs." I nodded and went downstairs, directing the EMTs upstairs, before I called Adam. "Hey, It's me... No I'm fine, Baby is fine too... Look I think something happened to mom and dad... Can you do me a huge favor? Can you try and get out of our lease? We have thirty days to back out... If you are able to, then get our things into my car, and meet me at my parents. Thanks." I hung up as Michael came over to me. "Hey..." I looked up. "Hi..." "So they apparently passed..." Michael said, as we sat at the table. "I thought so..." "I'm going to call Mom and Dad's lawyer..." I nodded, and said "Okay..." I put my head in my hands, as I heard my phone ring. "Adam." I said into the phone. "Thank god... Yeah I still need you to come. Thanks see you soon." The EMTS left, and Michael said "The Lawyer is on their way. Is Adam on his way too?" I said "He's packing up the apartment..."

Amy: Hey Honey, can you pack up the rest later? Michael said our parent's lawyer, is on the way, and we need you here.

Adam: I'm on my way, I turned over the key, and I can drop off yours and the spare Michael has, later. I already packed everything up. ETA 10 minutes.

I smiled. "He's on his way." I stated. "Good." Michael sat beside me, until there was a knock. "I'll go." I said, standing and walking to the door. "Can I help you?" "I'm looking for Amy and Michael Swanson?" The man stated. "I'm Amy... Come on in..." I let him in as Adam pulled up, turned off the car, and ran right over to me holding me tight. "thank you." I whispered, as I pulled back. "I moved heaven and hell to get here to you." We went to the kitchen and sat. "Okay, so I have a copy of your parents will right here." He handed me and Michael a copy, and I read it, gasping. "Wait, what does this mean?" Michael looked to the lawyer.

"This means, Michael, you will get half of the money, and the insurance, policies for you and a miss Luci. Amy, even though your fifteen, you're legally emancipated so you will get the house, the other half of the money and car, as well as the insurance policies for you and a Mr. Adam Singh. Your parent's had about 18 million. How would you like the money?" I said "Check for me please." Michael said "Check for me as well." The Lawyer made the checks out and handed them to us. "Alright, so I'll handle the insurance polices, and getting them into your names, and send them to you both at this address, and will handle all the legal stuff. Now do either of you have any questions?"

I looked to Adam, before I said "Would the insurance policy cover Prenatal care, and a child?" I felt Adam squeeze my hand. "It's not insurance that covers stuff like that, it's just to protect you guys from being fined. The Insurance you were covered is also no longer valid." I said "Oh my god..." Adam said "I'll get to work on getting insurance..." "I know one, that has open enrollment." I said "Thank you..." He also said "I also have a marriage license, and certificate." I said "Would we be able to do it now?" The lawyer said "I double as a minister too, so yes." I looked to Michael as Luci came in. The Lawyer married us, both. After we signed all the appropriate papers, the Lawyer left. "Alright. Amy, Adam, Do you need anything?" I said "No. I'll be alright. We just need to return the keys." I handed Michael mine, as he said "I'll return them. Anything else?" I shook my head. Adam said "I'll move the car, then I'll bring everything in." It was almost Christmas, about a week more. Once Adam brought everything in and getting everything settled.

"We should go shopping, for Christmas..." I said, softly. "And decorate..." Adam said "I'll work on it throughout the week, Michael called the school and explained the situation... I'll call my boss..." "Do you want me home with you?" "You don't have to. I'll be Okay..." He nodded and we went to the mall. After getting presents, and wrapping supplies, we returned home, stashing them in the master room. "I'm sorry Christmas will be plain this year..." I said "No, don't be... We'll have each other and the gang."

Adam: Hey, Gang! I need a favor... Amy's feeling a little down, this Christmas, any chance we can make it a special one for her? I was thinking we could surprise her on Christmas Eve, and have a Backyard gang sleepover.

Michael and Luci: We're in.

Adam: Thanks Guys! Let's touch base on Saturday, about a plan. Don't mention it to Amy.

"Alright, I'm going to take a bath..." I stated as I went to the bathroom and climbed into the tub. After a few moments, I got in my pajamas and went to our room, laying down, and fell asleep with Adam.
