Chapter 18- Three-Way Battle With The Winged Raider, The Silent Guardian & The Gentle Killer
While the sight of Amy and Sally still standing gets under Zeena's skin, Sally generates enough energy from her sword to send out a wide vertical energy slash towards her opponent while they are supposedly distracted due to their rapid emotions. Nonetheless, Zeena not only avoids the attack but like an arrow from a bow covers ground to move to a platform behind her and Amy. Zeena presses on and rushes at them with an accelerated jagged path, Amy at the very last moment uses her Piko Piko Hammer to tear apart the ground, creating a wave of debris surrounding Zeena. Zeena rethinks her original approach to attack the two and figures out a countermeasure, but there is still a heavy uneasiness resting on her shoulders. She locks eyes with Amy and Sally whispering to each other about something and decides to ignore the uneasiness, swinging her weapons wildly around herself.
Amy randomly goes on the offensive with her Piko Piko Hammer, whilst Sally with her Sword of Acorn launches several energy slashes. Zeena dashes in a straight line for Amy and quickly circles around her back from the left to the right, gracefully dodging Sally's energy slashes in the process. Zeena unloads a powerful left swing which Amy counters with one of her own, generating a pair of pink heart-shaped energy spheres and fires them at Zeena concurrently. This catches Zeena off guard and sends her flying backwards, noticing that more energy slashes are being fired.
"Wait…they are not hitting me, huh? No…the true purpose is to…" Zeena notices Sally moving behind her energy slashes and worked out their plan
"So that's your plan, huh! Dividing my attention to make me overthink who to attack"
Amy comes down to bash her hammer into her face, Zeena jumps over the kick and gets in position to deliver a falling slash that is sure to finish Amy off. Amy bends backwards to avoid the slash, as Sally leaps in front of Zeena and delivers a vicious punch to the stomach.
"Our plan was to make you think we will do that, and seize the opening for Sally to give out a full-throttle attack." Zeena's body crashes through several walls, knocking her unconscious.
Amy and Sally high-five each other, happy about their victory over the Zeti.
"You have gotten strong, huh. Sally"
"You too, Amy"
From Amy's communication device, Mighty tells the two to head towards his location. Once they have arrived, Amy and Sally are shown the weapon factory supplying Chronos's war effort. The four of them proceed to destroy it and return back to Earth via the shuttle they have stolen.
At the same time, Rouge and her espionage team make their way to Mystic Jungle to help out the Resistance forces there. The jungle has become a pure battleground, with its three elite fighters entering in deadlock between each other; G-23, Jet the Hawk & Chronos's General Rank No.4 Kazoku. Rouge, Espio, Bunnie and co. chooses to watch from a distance to observe their opponents abilities, knowing a bit about Kazoku from Tails. Jet puts up a good fight against his much stronger opponents with his speed, above average acrobatic skills, agility and strategic mind, using his feathers as means of protection. Kazoku takes notice of the surrounding area and sees the Resistance, noting that they had brought reinforcements. Rouge and Espio notices that Kazoku had found them and advises the group to separate, Kazoku makes his move first and pushes back Espio and Rouge as he sees them as the bigger threats from the group. Kazoku folds his hands into the signature stance to activate Pinpoint Flasher, however Espio uses his blinding speed to kick Kazoku's arms upward, stopping the process mid-way, as Kazoku is surprised that Espio predicted the time interval of his attack. Without any time to react, Kazoku's head gets pulled into a fierce roundhouse kick. The quickness of Rouge's attack takes Kazoku off guard and he's knocked back a few steps.
Espio makes his way to Kazoku. "Why be part of an organisation as wicked as Chronos?"
Kazoku looks back at Espio, wiping dust from his gear. "I am in debt for my leader who had saved me when I was at my lowest and given me a family in the form of the other Generals."
G-23 interrupts their conservation with a replica of E-40's "Five Spears Barrage", creating 5 orbs made of Chaos Energy and blasts them to follow the target until they come in contact with them. This made the Gizoid insert itself into the fight, as well Jet who it was fighting against. Bunnie also joins the fare, standing side-by-side with her superiors.
Espio whispers to his comrades, their plan of attack. "It's best for us to target each one of our opponents." Which Rouge and Bunnie agree on.
Bunnie handles Jet and Rouge takes on G-23, leaving Espio with Kazoku. Bunnie engages into close combat with Jet, whilst Rouge avoids an array of Chaos Energy blasts and manages to close the distance on G-23.
Before they came to blows, Kazoku and Espio both said to each other just by one glance. "He's strong!"
The two exchange blows with each other on equal ground, Kazoku praises Espio's skills as a shinobi. Espio performs a few backflips and throws a few shuriken stars, Kazoku circles around Espio's back to dodge them effortlessly. He gets behind Espio's peripheral vision and with gathered momentum, uses it to fuel a right hook that smashes Espio into a stone pillar.
