A story created by Proximatic / Dan. A crossover between Hyperdimension Neptunia and Nanatsu no Taizai (The Seven Deadly Sins).

. . .

Hearing the news of a new dimension that piqued her interest, the CPU of Planeptune ventures into it, hoping to distance herself from her work (albeit for lazy purposes) as well as enjoy herself in this mini-adventure.

However, she seemed to be greeted with displeasure on her end, as she was suspected of being an intruder before being told to leave.

Overhearing a conversation about the Boar Hat, owned by the Captain of the Seven Deadly Sins, Neptune follows a strange, young girl with a mysterious right eye to the tavern, eavesdropping on their communication and learning the names of two individuals thus far; King and Elizabeth. The other individuals are a talking pig, a young-looking blonde boy, and a neatly-dressed person with hot pink hair who seems to take pleasure in saying "Sparkle!" or "Kapīn!".

This eavesdropping of hers would soon be interrupted, however, by imposing large footsteps behind her, and a large woman peering at her.

We continue where we last left off. . .outside of the Boar Hat tavern.

Kingdom of Liones Outside the Boar Hat

Violet irises stare each other down as Neptune's back was against the walls of the Boar Hat tavern, though to the right of the window so she remains unseen by anyone else.

". . .who are you?"

The large woman spoke with a hushed and gentle tone so as to try not to make too much of a commotion. The pinkette appeared friendly enough to her, thus no reason to create too much noise as a result. The CPU cleared her throat before stepping forward and introducing herself.

"Weeell, you see, I'm sooort of a new challenger here in this dimension, so I was kinda curious about whoever the Seven Deadly Sins are. That King Gardener guy mentioned them, and I also heard along the way that the Boar Hat tavern was owned by its captain! But whewie, you're quite a tall girl, aren't'cha?"

As she walked off the porch surrounding the tavern and onto the sun-coated grass, Neptune looked up to notice just how tall this girl was. She wasn't quite Dark CPU height, but she was certainly tall! Taller than many of the monsters she has encountered in her life, in fact!

"Mwehehe. . .well, I'm a part of the Giant race after all~!"

"Giant race. . .? You mean to tell me that there's a race of super tall people like you? Aw, jeez, that stuff's gonna give me nightmares as if I've been put to sleep by a Pocket Monstrosity with Dark Void!"

That's a bit too on the nose.

"Eh? Do you not know what the Giant race is?" the brunette inquired, seeing as this is one of the first individuals she has come across where they don't know of the Giant race's existence.

"'Course I don't! I already said that I was a new player in this dimension, right? I've never been to this place before. . .I wasn't even born here! I just heard from my Ultra Dimension self that this place was super old and I really wanted to find a way to make Histy stop yelling at me for at least three days, so I made the excuse that I was gonna find a new weapon here!"
The CPU continued on with her tangent,
"It's like one of those games where you have to choose an answer to dialogue, and then whatever choice you make can really affect what happens later on in the story! But I think I made the right choice!"

The amount of exposition this giantess is receiving is starting to make her confused.

"But even when I got here, that King Charter guy sicced his guards and whatever onto me when I didn't even do anything wrong and I just magically ended up in the castle because of those coordinates! I wasn't even being mean, I was just telling them that they're early-game enemies!"

"Hwaaah, stooop! It's making my head spin with how much you're telling me!" the giantess complained, holding her hands to her head.

"You're from another dimension and saying all these random things that sound like stories from a children's book. . .!"

"H-hey, it's all true—!"

"Yare yare, what's with all the ruckus outside, Diane?"

Out the door comes the young blonde boy, alongside King, Elizabeth, the pig, and the neatly-dressed individual. With a gasp, the giantess squats down for a bit. It seems like Diane is her name.

"Danchō*! I was just talking to this really talkative girl here!" she says, pointing to Neptune on her left.

* Danchō in Japanese means Leader, or Captain in the context of NNT.

"Eh? Danchō? Wait. . .does that mean you're Meliodas, Captain of the Seven Deadly Sins?"

"Hoh! You figured that out pretty fast, didn't'cha? Yep, that's me! Dragon Sin Meliodas of the Seven Deadly Sins! It's nice to meet you, pink-haired stranger girl."

"You could've at least asked for my name for, y'know," says the CPU with a dull expression on her face.

"Yo, Diane! I see you've got some new clothes on, just like Gowther!"

Gowther? Perhaps he's referring to the person with hot pink hair who likes to say "Kapīn!"

"Merlin's the one who made it for me!"

The outfit consists of orange boots with tan laces, an orange skirt-esque garment that covered her upper body, short black undergarments that only reached down to the uppermost part of her thighs — of which her left thigh, in particular, has a snake tattoo of sorts embedded in it. On her left was a large, elliptical fingerless gauntlet that covered her arm up to her elbow, whilst on her right was a much smaller, fingerless glove that extended to her wrist.

'Merlin? Jeez, talk about introducing a new cast of characters in rapid-fire succession. . .'

"Well, what do you think, Danchō?" Diane inquired with a happy smile, beaming with joy!

Out of nowhere, another individual appears; a mature-looking woman wearing mostly purple clothes, however, she does not seem to be wearing traditional clothes. Purple footwear and leggings that reach up to her thighs, violet undergarments, and a cape with white fluff around the collar. Much more revealing than anyone else.

"Uweh?! G-gosh, it's like you people are just popping up left and right from the depths of the Gamindustri Graveyard!"

"Like you're one to talk. You just showed up at this tavern and started talking to Diane nonchalantly," Meliodas says in a teasing response to the CPU.

"It was really tough choosing between the two outfits you gave me, Merlin, but I ended up choosing this one!"

"I only remember giving you one outfit," Merlin says in response to Diane's enthusiasm.

"Maybe she forgot that her other clothes were made by King and not you," the pig says.

"H-hey, she wouldn't forget something like that, Hawk! R-right, Diane?!" King asks in a flustered and panicked tone. So the pig's name is Hawk. . .at least she knows the names of everyone present now! Elizabeth, Meliodas, Diane, King, Gowther, Merlin, and Hawk. She'll memorize it like the pattern of a puzzle in a dungeon!

"Ehhh-heh. . .m-maybe I forgot that was the case. . .sorry, King!"

"Nnnaaaaagh!"

'What kind of group even is this? This ain't just a party. . .this is a total mis-leveled mess!"

As the door opens once more, a tall, snowy-haired man walks outside, wearing a reflective red outfit complete with what looks like buttons all over the clothing. He even has a scar on his neck.

"Oi, oi. . .pipe it down, why don't you?"

His voice sounded tired and extremely low-key compared to the rest of the individuals here, aside from perhaps Gowther. He's more low-key than the lowest floor in a tower.

"Oh! And Ban's wearing his new outfit—!"

Diane, being proven entirely wrong by the fact that her expression seems upset and disappointed, seems to be implying that they got a new outfit for this individual named Ban.

"Wait, no he's not!"

Slamming both of her fists against the ground, Diane starts yelling at the top of her lungs at Ban; her voice was so strong that it was causing wind against Ban's body, evident by his hair waving.

"Ban! What happened to your new outfit?!"

"New outfit? Eh? You mean that red thing hanging on a hook in my room?"

Diane's expression shifted to a more angry and hurt look as she leaned forward and yelled at Ban some more.

"King and I picked that one out just for you, and you don't wear it! So mean!" she shouts as a pout forms on her face.

"Alright, alright. . .I'll go and put it on later. That's if it's not a total eyesore. Is it?"

King, in a. . .different, more plump and strange form, flies in with the same upset look that Diane had earlier, though he's less concerned about Ban not wearing the outfit and more about his comment on what it would look like.

"What was that?"

"Okay, okay, relax."

Stepping forward a little bit, Neptune raises her hand up to eye-level, trying to get the attention of everyone around her.

"Uhhh, hey y'all, I know you're all being nice and comfy with your friendy-friends and whatnot, but. . .you know, you could pay attention to the protagonist for once!"

Everyone stared at Neptune in silence. Not with any specific expression, just blank stares.

". . .when I meant pay attention, I didn't mean to look at me like an RPG character staring down an NPC during a conversation."

"Diane, who is this kid? She a friend of yours?"

"Mmh-mmh. I just saw her when I came over to show you my new outfit, Danchō. King?"

"I don't know her. How about you, Gowther?"

"An unknown person. Perhaps she knows Merlin."

"I've never seen her before. I suppose Ban is the last person we should—."

"You really think I would be hanging around a pink-haired little squirt like her?"

A sigh slips through Neptune's lips as she just shrugs it off. It's not like she isn't used to being a stranger to other people anyways.

"Well, whatever the case, my name's Neptune! CPU of Planeptune, #1 Gamer in Gamindustri, and the Protagonist of Protagonists!"

"Neptu. . .Neputh. . .Nepudo. . .eh, your name is hard to pronounce," exclaimed Meliodas as he struggles to correctly say Neptune's name.

"I get that a lot, blondie! You're like, the sixth person I've ever come across to ever mispronounce it so badly."

"Well, either way, since it's impossible for me to say it, I'm just gonna call you Nep! That okay?"

"Mmh. . .that nickname's already been taken by another person, but I guess since this is another dimension, she won't know! I'll allow it!"

"Yosh! Nep it is!"

"Danchō, it's pretty easy to pronounce her name. Watch," King says as he clears his throat, floating down to Neptune's level.

"Neptune. Your name is Neptune."

"Woah-ya! You actually managed to get it right! For that, good sir, I shall bestow you with. . ."

Reaching into her Parka Dress pocket, the CPU pulls out a pudding and a plastic spoon! The pudding was a bit lukewarm for remaining in her pocket, though.

"The best pudding everrr! Here, here, eat up! It's delicious! It even heals your HP by 30% in a fight!"

King nervously took the pudding and the spoon into his hands, floating back up to his green pillow, giving off a chuckle.

"Th-thanks, I guess."

"Oh! King, you did it correctly? You're pretty impressive!"

"I told you, Danchō. It's easy. You just can't seem to get it right somehow."

"Sate, sate, saaate*! Since the medal ceremony is tomorrow, what'd'ya say we party down in advance?"

* Sate means "well", or "well then".

"Ooh, that sounds fun! Fun like a raid boss! Count me in, Meliodas!" Neptune excitedly raises her hand, wanting to join the fun.

"Well, it wouldn't hurt to have a bit more liveliness in the tavern, so you're more than welcome to join us, Nep!"

"Yahooo!"

"Hello again everyone, and welcome back to the show! Well, I would say that, but this is actually our first airing of Nepstation in seven years! At the time of this fanfic being written, of course! So, to commemorate the special occasion, I decided to do a Nepstation Broadcast here in Britannia!"

"Nep, you say the strangest things sometimes."

"You wouldn't understand it, Meliodas! A true Nepstation lover would know! Also, uh. . .it was admittedly a little hard to get this whole thing set up again, so I kinda had to make something at the last second. Technology kinda sucks in this era. But who cares, it's not like we're the same people in the actual plot itself! We're like clones, we can take as much time as we want!"

"Sate, sate, sate! I guess we should get on with the actual broadcast, as you said?"

"Yep! Just remember to read the cards, alright?"

"Yosh! I got this, Nep! Ahem. . .

'Meliodas, two dots. Hello everyone, I'm Meliodas, a-k-a the Captain of the Seven'—!"

"No, no, no, you're not supposed to read it like 'Meliodas, two dots', that's supposed to indicate who's talking!"

"I'm gonna be honest, Nep, how is any of this even convenient?"

"Are you mad that you're kind of a dummy?"

"Yare yare. . .there you go twisting my words again!"

"Danchō, you're gonna be late for your favorite drinking game if you don't hurry up with Neptune's broadcast thingy!"

"A-alright, fine, we'll make this quick. . .but the next time we do this, I'm gonna make you practice, a'ight Meliodas?"

"Okay, okay, relax. It's my first go at this, y'know, can't you cut a guy like me some slack?"

"I guess so. Either way, let's wrap this up! We're not exactly allowed to say any spoilers for the plot ahead, so I think we can just say that the party happens. . .and then something else happens alongside it! Maybe some of you Seven Deadly Sins fans know what's coming next!"

"And maybe some of you. . .you say you're from a series, right? What is it called?"

"Hyperdimension Neptunia!"

"Ah, right! And maybe some of you Hyperdimension Neptunia fans will be surprised as to what's coming next!
. . .and, I, promise. . .it's not, me, looking up—," before Meliodas could even finish reading the sentence from the card, his mouth is immediately covered by Neptune's hand.

"Safe for work, safe for work! Welp, that's all the time we have for this broadcast! Catch you later, Nepsters!"

Inside the Boar Hat — Night

As steam was exhumed from the pipe protruding in the roof of the tavern, it was a clear sign of cooking being done. It was lively and peaceful.

"Kanpai!" every member shouted as they all had a mug of ale in their hands. Neptune, too.

After their toast, they all spread out amongst themselves in the tavern. Merlin and Gowther were isolated at a table talking to each other, King was floating around on his green pillow, and Elizabeth and a shrunken, human-sized Diane were talking to each other at the counter. Ban was behind the counter cooking them their food, holding p a pie, and Meliodas was off to the right side holding his mug, spectating his comrades enjoying themselves.

Neptune sat at the table in the middle of the tavern floor, drinking her mug whilst playing some games on her N-Gear.

"Yo, Nep!" Meliodas called out to her to try and grab her attention. Turning her body around a bit, as well as turning her head to make eye contact, Meliodas walked over to her and sat down, looking at the device in her hand.

"Huh. Strange little trinket you got there. It's making noise and it looks like it's got some sort of whole other reality in there! What even is this thing?"

"Oh, this? It's my N-Gear!"

"N. . .Gear?"

"Yeah! Well, seeing how this place is super behind on technology, you wouldn't even be able to understand anything. It'd be like asking a Dogoo how a Share Blade is forged! But, essentially, this thing doesn't whole another reality. It's just. . .electricity projecting action into a flat surface that you can interact with using these little circles and shoulder pads!"

"Hm hm hm! So what you're saying is that you're a lightning magic user like Little Gil. I see!"

A blank expression comes across her face. She doesn't even have a retort to that, even though it is true that she's able to use lightning magic. Moments after, Ban would walk out from the counter and place a hand on Meliodas' shoulder, leaning forward.

"Daaa~nchō! Got a second?"

"Hm? What's up?"

"Just follow me, okay?"

As Meliodas and Ban walked out the door, both Neptune and King had concerned looks on their faces; the former mixed with confusion as well.

"Hey, Neptune. You think Ban might be up to something?"

"Eh? What do you mean? Seems like a perfectly normal guy to me. Maybe they're just going outside to discuss business stuff, like their wages! Oooh, I bet he doesn't even get paid 400 Credits an hour."

"I'm not going to ask. . .but either way, Ban's been a bit on edge lately. Sounds like he's got something he wants to hide. What say you and I take some time to investigate?"

"Aww, but I'm in the middle of this game right now! Could you maybe do it for me and tell me what's goin' on after? It's really important that I finish this stage soon!"

King let out an exasperated sigh as he floats away and up the staircase, likely to go outside of one of the upper windows so he can eavesdrop on Ban and Meliodas' conversation.

Outside the Boar Hat - Dead of Night

The pair of Sins walk a few dozen meters away from the tavern to have their small discussion. Ban doesn't seem intent on letting the others hear him. Taking off his apron and dropping it to the ground, his arm returns to his side. Meliodas stops walking with his hands behind his head, whilst unbeknownst to them, King is hidden behind the spire of the tavern so he can listen in.

"What's so important right now, Ban?"

Ban turns around to face Meliodas as a smile is plastered on his visage.

". . .I'm quitting as of today."

Meliodas' eyes widened upon hearing those words. He didn't think of Ban as one to just quit like this.

"Woah, woah, woah, Ban! Your face is the only joke we need around here! Besides, if you quit, who's gonna do the cooking?"

"You can take over again, like before. That is if you can make good food."

"No way! If I do the cooking again, our revenue will go down 100 percent!"

"Danchō. I'm serious."

Meliodas was once again left in a small state of shock. Ban, just quitting like that, and not even in the sense of the tavern? Silence fills the air as Ban stares his best friend down, his face no longer having that cocky smile anymore.

". . ."

"I'm leaving the Seven Deadly Sins."

Behind the spire, King quietly gasped. Ban's leaving the Seven Deadly Sins. . .? Why? For what purpose?

Outside the Boar Hat - Sunrise

As the snowy-haired Fox Sin of Greed walks down the steps of the Boar Hat tavern, he lets out a sigh, where the mist from his breath trails behind him in the cold morning. In his hand is a tie-up bag, and he's wearing the outfit that Diane and King picked out for him; a crimson red robe with a popped collar that covers most of his upper body but leaves his chest exposed. Reluctantly, he turned around to take one last look at the Boar Hat.

"Sayonara, Danchō. Master."

Once he turns back around, he's greeted by the sight of King, floating on his green pillow like normal.

"Yo, Ban. Leaving without saying anything?" King asked in a quieter tone so as to not wake anyone inside up. Well, except for Neptune; she's been awake all night just playing her games. It's a good thing she had a portable battery in her N-Gear storage, otherwise, it would have died.

Ban's red irises stared into King's yellow as he remained silent, not shifting expression whatsoever

"So surprised to see me you can't talk?"

The Fox Sin walks past the Grizzly Sin without saying anything once again.

"Y'know, I overheard you talking to the captain last night. I'm quite sure about what happened between you and Elaine."

Inside the tavern, Neptune could hear the voice of King coming from outside. Pausing her game and looking out the window facing the direction of the door, she can see both Ban and King, with the former seemingly walking away.

"Ehhh? What's up with those two? Are they havin' some sort of fight or goodbye?"

Curious, the CPU stands up and opens the door, walking over to the Sin duo.

"Heeey! King, Ban! What's going on with you two?"

King lifts his head to look at Neptune, as does Ban by turning around and making eye contact with her.

"Neptune, you don't need to get involved. This is just something Ban and I need to talk about."

"Nah, it's fine. Let the kid know. She's probably concerned about the fact that she's only been here for a day and I'm leavin'."

"You're leaving?! B-but why?! Are you really that unhappy with staying here alongside Meliodas and the others?!"

"No. It's not that. There's just something I need to do. It's my personal way of atonement. . .atonement for the sin that I've committed."

"Ban. . ."

"Honestly, Ban, I'm really touched you feel so strongly about my sister. But now she's dead. . .and the Fairy King's Forest she had been guarding for 700 years is burned down. So where are you going to go? What "atonement" could you possibly have? After all, I learned the truth, and. . ."

Ban, with a straight face, answers King:

"To the Fairy King's Forest."

King gasped and his eyes widened. . .to the Fairy King's Forest? But he just said that it had burned down!

"The Fairy King's Forest? What's that? Some kind of magical forest where there's. . .like, Flying Dogoos and grounded Horsebirds that don't have wings?"

"Kid, you make no sense. But you've got the enthusiasm. Maybe you'll make for a good replacement."

"Eh?! [Nep] no, I don't wanna replace anyone! I'm not from this place, y'know; I've got a whole 'nother life in Hyper Dimension!"

"Well, it was worth a shot."

The low-key thief turns back around, but didn't start walking just yet.

"Hey, come on! What's the point in leaving if you're not unhappy around these guys? Y'ever think that they'd start to feel a little worried for you if you just left and didn't say anything to them aside from Meliodas and King?!"

"Tch. . ."

Neptune pushed a foot forward and raised her hand, curling it into a fist.

"It doesn't even sound like you told Meliodas you were going to the Fairy King's Forest anyways, or that you had something to do, just that you were leaving!"

"Tell me, Neptune. What do you think you know about me that's so worth keeping around here."

"What I know is that you're a good friend to everyone here! Meliodas, Hawk, Elizabeth, Diane. . .all of them are your friends because they like you! I've only known you for the past day. . .but I know enough to say for certain that you're welcomed by everyone!"

Ban's right hand tightly clenched the drawstring of the bag he was carrying as he grits his teeth.

"Neptune's right, Ban! I might have despised you before, but I know now that you didn't do the horrible things I said you did!"

"Urusai*!"

* Urusai means "shut up" or something akin to it in Japanese.

Shouting at the two of them, Ban didn't want to hear any more of this appeasement towards him anymore.

"Neptune. You don't know anything about me. You don't know my past. . .so don't think you have a horse in this race. Because you don't.

. . .I'm finished here."

Saying no more than he already has, Ban begins to walk away, as a thick fog starts to roll in and coat him, making him appear to be gone entirely.

"Hmph. . .that guy's more stubborn than a Dream Destroyer with its arm ripped off!"

"I'm gonna go after him. If he's really going to the Fairy King's Forest, then. . .

. . .are you gonna come with me?"

"I'll pass. You're probably a better candidate for this than me. You two seem to know each other a lot more than I know him. . .so I guess you're gonna have to take the Player 1 role for me in this scenario."

"Alright. . .just stay here with the others, okay, Neptune?"

"Mmh! No problem, boblem!"

Sighing again, King couldn't help but smile at Neptune's jolly attitude, even after that little confrontation. And thus, the two would part ways. For now, that is.

End of Chapter 2!
