[I wake up and I go to my desk to grab my uniform, I see a bunch of trinkets and such from friends and family on the desk, but my eyes are glued to two pictures they're of me as a 9 year old and a young girl with bright crimson red hair and blue eyes a few memories flood back and a warm smile spreads across my face.]

Flashback 9 years ago

[A 8 year old kid with black unkempt frizzy hair is waiting under a Sakura tree listening to music he's patiently waiting for someone he's got his eyes closed he's so calm that many people would think that he's asleep a Sakura pedal gently falls on his hair and he feels a gentle tap on his shoulder]

Akira:"Hey Rias."

Rias:"Akira? Were you waiting for me the whole time?"

Akira:"Of course I was. I don't mind waiting for you Rias even if I have to wait for 2 hours."

Rias:"Even though we have to hide our relationship?"

Akira:"Of course, today's a beautiful day so that makes waiting for you a lot more bearable."

Rias:"Yeah it's really beautiful outside today" [She notices the pedal on his head and starts giggling to herself.]

Akira:"Rias? Is something funny to you?"[She smiles and grabs the pedal from his hair]

Akira:"Oh I wouldn't have noticed that although I kind of wanted to keep that on my head, Hey Rias you ever wonder what a Sakura pedal tastes like?"

Rias:"No I haven't why don't you try this pedal."

Akira:"Oh? That's a good idea."

[Akira takes the pedal from Rias's hands and puts it in his mouth and eats it Rias was surprised that he actually did it.]

Rias:"Why did you eat the pedal!"

Akira:"I was curious about its flavor, and you're the one who suggested it to me, it's not bad actually in case you were wondering."

Rias:"I was being sarcastic like you are most of the time."

Akira:"You need to work on your Sarcasm skills little girl, you should try one."

Rias:"There's no way I'm going to eat that pedal not even you can convince me on that."

[Akira uses his incrediblestrength and plucks a pedal from the tree and steps closer to her]

Rias:"What are you doing Akira?"

[Akira steps forward with a smile on his face not saying anything and Rias starts stepping backwards.]

Rias:"A-Akira what are you doing?"

[Akira breaks out into a sprint towards Rias, She starts running away she had trouble not getting caught by him, his speed was impressive much faster than any human she saw before, After a few minutes the two of them collapsed onto the ground completely exhausted, Akira rolls on his back and starts laughing]

Akira:"Today was a fun day."

Rias:"Yeah it was pretty fun, I don't know why our parents are so against us being friends."

Akira:"I know right, it's so unfair you're a great person, a great role model and a great student, I can't even begin to imagine the amount of times I would have failed a test or class if it weren't for you."

[Rias has a small blush on her face at the compliments.]

Rias:"Oh please Akira you're so much smarter than you think, you just need to put the effort into studying."

Akira:"I can't help it it's just so boring and I can't learn, I just don't get it I tried to study for two hours yesterday but it didn't make a difference, I still couldn't pass my test today, you're my only hope in learning stuff Rias."

Rias:"Well I don't mind helping you study."

Akira:"Thank you so much Rias, I really appreciate it."

Rias:"It's really no problem Akira I'm more than happy to help a…friend."

Akira:"Alright let's do it my parents are out of town again, but first I want to watch the sunset for a bit, care to Join me?"

[Rias doesn't say anything but she plops down under the Sakura tree, next to Akira and watches the beautiful sunset the two of them sit in a comfortable silence, After a while the two kids separate for the night]

End of Flashback

[Akira couldn't help but smile when thinking back on it the second picture was a picture he didn't like to look at.]

[The picture was of the two of them together they were both crying into each other the.]

[Flashback 9 years ago Akira POV a few days before the move]

[Me and Rias were hanging out again this time we went to my parents house because I wanted her to test my cooking skills suddenly my parents came home without telling they'd be here beforehand Rias had been sent home when she had been picked up her parents had been extremely upset with her and with me my parents were fuming.]

Cereza:"I can't believe that you'd go behind our backs like that, how long have you and Rias known each other exactly?"

Akira:"Um we've been friends for about 4 years now."

Dante:"So you've been lying to us and disobeying us for four whole years."

Akira:"Why won't you let us be friends? She's a good student, she's a great person and she's a great role model."

Cereza:"Little one you shouldn't hang around that girl any longer it won't be good for anyone."

Akira:"But why?! Why can't you tell me? why do you want to ruin my relationship with Rias?!"

Cereza:"She's just not a person you should hang around with let's leave it at that ok little one?"

Akira:"But Rias is my friend she's my only friend, she's a really good person."

Dante:"Enough! You should listen to your damn parents!"

[Akira starts shaking clearly scared of his fathers outburst meanwhile Cereza has hugged Akira tightly]

Cereza:"Now Now little one, please forgive your father he just cares about you and he got very carried away, isn't that right Dante?"

Dante:"Y-Yeah of course I'm truly sorry son, the point is she's a dangerous girl to be around son."

Akira:"She's not dangerous, she's very kind to everybody."

Dante:"Just stop talking to her, you'll be in big trouble if you speak to her again."

[Akira pushes past his father and Dante falls onto his Ass and Akira runs up stairs and shuts the door a quiet locking sound is heard]

Dante:"That damn kid."

Cereza:"You're angry at him aren't you?"

Dante:"Of course I'm angry he lied to us and broke the rules for years, but at the same time I'm proud of him for doing that."

Cereza:"We might have to look into moving those two somewhere else."

Dante:"Yeah, I really don't want to move him but it's too dangerous here for them here."

[Akira was able to barely able to hear their conversation]

Akira:"It's dangerous here? But nothing happens here?"

[Akira had continued to disobey his parents and continued to hang out with Rias when his parents found out the result was him and his brother being sent to a small town in the sticks before they were to leave the two friends took one last picture together.]

Akira had been broken free from his memories after Ren called out for him and he put on the uniform there was a black blazer with white accents over a white, long-sleeved, button-down shirt with vertical linings, a black ribbon on the collar, matching black pants, and brown dress shoes although I removed the ribbon and dress shoes opting for a more natural pair of shoes and the ribbon was extremely annoying I check the time and go downstairs and Ren's on the couch already in uniform.

Ren:There you are, I was about to go up there and shake you awake like when we were in elementary school Well since you're awake let's go.

Akira:They're more forgiving for kids late on their first day aren't they? We could kill a few minutes.

Ren:I don't want to be late a first impression is the most important meeting, besides mom would be pissed when she finds out.

Akira:Yeah you're right, we don't want to enact mom's fury let's go.

[After a while me and Ren had found the room we were supposed to be at]

Akira:"Sorry for the delay we're both not good with directions."

Sonia:"It's no problem really I'm not busy for a while."

Sonia:"So Mr kursu's here are both of your schedules I hope that you two enjoy your classes."

Sonia:"Actually I want to talk about something before I send you two to classes."

Ren:"What do you want to talk to us about."

Sonia:"Actually it's about your older brother."

[They all know what she's about to bring up.]

Sonia:"I am required to bring up Your criminal record Kursu."

Ren:"He was innocent in that case he did nothing wrong!"

Sonia looks unfazed by Ren's freakout.

Sonia:"Calm down Mr Kursu."

Akira*A goofy smile on his face* "But I am calm."

Sonia is not pleased but just ignores him

Sonia:"I'm aware of your story in order to try and help an innocent women from getting harassed you had intervened which had led him to falling over and being injured which caused you to get arrested and a false assault charge I couldn't suppress the rumors of what happened and for that I'm truly sorry."

Akira[She seems genuinely sad about that] "Don't worry about it this place is pretty boring so that'd naturally make it pretty difficult to suppress those types of stories."

Sonia:"But it was my duty to try and keep that kind of information private."

Ren:"And yet that information was leaked, some skill you've got there, Tell me what other private information got leaked over the years?"

Sonia:"That information had gotten leaked in the first place that is a mystery that I'll look into posthaste."

Akira:"Thank you and I hope you have a great day." "let's go Ren."

Ren:"Yeah see ya."[Outside the student council room] "what classes do you have?"

Akira:"Here oh we got the same classes how nice of them."

Ren:"Yeah let's get to class, we don't want a bad first meeting."

Akira:Alright, Alright let's get going.

[Back with Sonia, Sonia was in deep thought about Akira he is quite a mysterious person to her]

Sonia:"Akira kursu just what is he? I should have someone keep an eye on him. Those power readings haven't been seen before. He's stronger than most demons and magicians but he's just an ordinary human right?"

[Akira and Ren make our way to our first class]

Teacher:"Alright everyone we've got two students who have to introduce themselves."

Students:"I heard that one of them has a criminal record."

Students:"Really? I heard that they're both identical twins I wonder which one is which."

Students:"I heard they're both attractive."

Students:"I heard that they're both bad boys."

Teacher:"Alright that's enough rumors please come up here you two."

[The door opens and both of the twins enter the room and stand in front of the class.]

Ren:"My name is Ren Kursu it's a pleasure to meet you all I hope we get along well."

Akira:"And my name is Akira Kursu it's also a pleasure to meet you."

Teacher:"Does anyone have any questions about your new classmates."

Student 1:"How can we tell the difference between you two."

Akira:"My baby brother is an inch shorter than me and he wears some beautiful earrings [Shows them the earrings] that's about it."

Student 2:"I heard that one of you was arrested for physically assaulting someone is that true?"

Teacher:"Ms. Battel that is not something you should ask!"

Akira:"It's fine Professor I'm stuck with it regardless of what I do so I'll answer that it's true it happened to me but I had been falsely arrested."

Random Student:"Woah I feel so bad for him."

Random Student:"yeah me too but they're both really cute I wonder if they're a couple of bad boys."

Random Student:"Are you two single?"

Akira:"Yes I'm single."

Ren:"Me too."

Teacher:"That's enough of questions how about you two sit next to………*he hesitates for a second* ugh issei-Kun please raise your hand"

[When our teacher says that we hear the girls complain about how they have to sit next to one of the members of the"perverted trio"]

Random student:"Don't talk to him he's a perverted degenerative annoyance nobody likes him other than the two other members of the perverted trio"

Akira takes her words to heart and he ignored the student's attempts at conversation.

Akira:"I see thank you for telling me I'll try to avoid him then."

female student:"One more thing avoid the other two members they're easy to find out about, they're the only two people who hang out with him."

Akira stares outside and starts thinking to himself.

Issei try's to speak to me but I ignore him and I move my eyes outside and I start thinking to myself.

Akira:"Should I really ignore him? It's not right to do so, but I might be an outcast again if I don't listen to them, I don't want to be lonely again, I wonder if she's here?"

Ren:"Akira are you ok? You just stared at the window without saying anything for a while you had me concerned."

Akira:" I'm sorry RenRen I was simply thinking about something."

Ren:"It must be important then if you didn't notice me."

Akira:"Yeah you could say that."

Rias P.o.v

I had been in a pretty good mood today, the reason why is simple I'll be meeting an old friend of mine today, I was so happy I couldn't hide it, I was on my way to the occult research club waiting for school to end so I can summon him to the club room.

Akeno:"Why are you so happy Rias?"

Rias:"I'm going to meet with an old friend today,it's been so long since we've seen each other."

Akeno:"Are you sure he's just a friend? Maybe he's actually your boyfriend?"

[Rias's face turns as red as her hair]

Rias:"That's ridiculous Akeno, we're just friends."

[Akeno clearly doesn't believe her but decides to not say anything more.]

Akeno:"Why don't you two talk to each other?"

Rias:"The thing is he ended up moving away a few years ago, although that's probably for the best."

Akeno:"Why do you say that?"

Rias:"Because he might've gotten wrapped up in devil activities the last thing I want is for him to get hurt." [Rias starts to chuckle] "he would never listen to anyone not my parents nor his parents."

Akeno:"We're you two not allowed to hang out with each other?"

Rias:"No we weren't, our parents were vehemently against us even speaking to each other, but he'd always sneak out and he always managed to convince me to hang out with him, I simply couldn't refuse his offers no matter how scared I was that we'll be caught."

Akeno:"Why couldn't you two speak to each other?"

Rias:………"As it turns out his mom his parents were using aliases the dad had went by Tony Redgrave meanwhile the mom had went by Helena Redgrave."

Akeno:"Well what are their real names?"

Rias:"His mom's real name is Cereza Kursu she is an umbran witch, his father is Dante Kursu."

Akeno is absolutely flabbergasted by the news.

Akeno:"No way I seriously can't believe it, I mean Akira's father is an infamous devil hunter and his mom is a part of the supposedly extinct Umbran witches!? Does that mean Akira is also an Umbran witch?!"

Rias:"It's possible but if that's true that'll only make me more concerned for him, who knows what torture the other devils would put him through if they found out about his lineage."

Akeno:"Oh, well class is almost over so do you want me to get him."

[Rias nods,says thank you, gives her a picture of Akira and tells me what class he's in.]

Akira P.o.v

[Class had just finished and I had gotten up from my chair ready to go home, making some small conversation with a few female classmates, it had felt nice to not hear people spreading rumors about me being a criminal and that I was some dangerous person.]

[Me and my brother had walked towards the schools exit but I saw a familiar looking pink band and a familiar looking black ponytail.]

Akira:"Ren Ren stay here I think I see someone familiar."

[Before I could hear my brother say anything I run towards the familiar looking girl.]

Akira:"Excuse me but are perchance……Shiho Suzui."

[The woman turns around and I was right it was Shiho she looked surprised to see me here.]

Shiho:"Kursu-kun right? I thought you were going back to your hometown?"

Akira:"That's why I'm here,this is my original hometown."

Shiho:"I see well I was supposed to go to Inaba but they had changed their minds it was too small apparently."

Akira:"Well I'm glad that you're here, Inaba is pretty small but I do hope you're doing okay after last year."

Shiho:"I'm fine me and my family are working on stuff right now, um kursu-kun thank you for visiting me in the hospital it really meant a lot to me."

Akira:"Don't worry about it Shiho I wanted to help both you and Ann but I'm glad that you're okay, if you don't mind me asking but can I get your phone number."

[Shiho was surprised hearing this question]

Shiho:"You really want my number?"

Akira:"That's right, I'd like to be able to speak to you sometime."

Shiho:"Well, that's alright with me."

[After we finished exchanging our numbers, I had felt a tap on my shoulder and I see a beautiful buxom woman with black hair in a pony tail and violet eyes.]

???:"……I'm Akeno Himejima you need to come with me…alone."

[I couldn't ignore the slight seductive way she said the word alone, but I kept my poker face and simply nodded at her telling Ren to go home, although I could feel the glares I got from the guys "Talk about if looks could kill right?" I jokingly mumbled to myself.]

Akira:"So to what pleasure do I have to meet one of the three "Onee-Chans" of the school."

Akeno:"You need to meet with the president of the occult research club."

Akira:"Couldn't she have sent someone less popular to fetch me, I don't know how to feel about having so many eyes on me."

Akeno:"Sorry sweetie but it was easiest to have me do it, that and I volunteered to fetch you."

Akira:"Yeah, Yeah whatever" [I roll my eyes with a smirk on my face I see an old looking building, I'm guessing that that's the Occult research club?, Or whatever it was called? my suspicion was confirmed when she goes up to the door and opens it, I step inside the building, and when I go inside it I hear the door close and I look behind me I get into battle stance and my hand shoots to where, I keep my dagger but it isn't there that's right I forgot it in my room.]

Akeno:"Calm down we're not going to hurt you."

Rias:"That's right Akira you're not going to get hurt."

[When he heard that familiar voice he turned around and looked absolutely flabbergasted, but it had only lasted about half a second, the only one who noticed his expression was Rias but he had pulled himself together and he decided not to talk about his change in expression.]

Akira:"R-Rias is that you?"

Rias:"Yes Akira it really is me, happy to see me?"

[Akira extends his arms with a smile on his face.]

Akira:"Would it be too inappropriate for another hug like when we were kids?"

Rias:"Of course not." [She walks up to him and reciprocates his hug.]

Akira:"I missed you Rias, I really did oh how long I waited to see you again."

[He sounded like he was about to cry tears, tears of happiness of course.]

Rias:"I missed you too Akira it's been a while since we've seen each other hasn't it."

[Such strong and firm arms Rias was admittedly surprised at his strength. She remembers the last time she saw him he didn't have any muscle but it's completely different now although that was like 8-9 years ago.]

Akira:"Yeah it has we should hang out again soon."

Rias:"That sounds like a lovely idea. However we should continue with the meeting."

Akira:"Alright then, so why did you have me come here alone?"

Rias:"I think I know why our parents were so against us hanging when we were kids."

Akira:"Oh? Well why did you invite her to hear this?"

Rias:"Because Akeno and the other members are intertwined with the reason."

Akira:"They are? How so?"

[Rias takes a deep breath and she exposes her wings although the thing I was mainly focused on was the look of fear in Rias's eyes I noticed that the only other person in the room, Akeno had also spread her wings.]

Rias:"Me and everyone else here are devils."

Akira:"…Why are you scared Rias?"

Rias:"I'm not sure what you're talking about Akira."

Akeno:"That's not important right now what's important is why are you so nonchalant about the both of us being devils!?"

Akira:"I've seen stuff that makes demons look as common as humans."

Rias:"What have you seen?"

Akira:"Maybe I'll tell you sometime. I know you lot will love it. Unfortunately it's simply too long."

Rias:"I understand Akira. I've got a question for you."

Akira:"What's the question?"

Rias:"Do you want to Join my peerage. Your power is quite incredible."

Akira:"You want me to join your peerage?"

Rias:"That's right as I said before your power is quite simply incredible."

Akira:"What would happen if I were to join your peerage?"

Rias:"You'd become one of my pawns since I'm the queen you'd have to do anything I say unfortunately there is something a side effect if you accept."

Akira:"Side effect?"

Rias:"Yeah, if you accept my request then you will lose your humanity-."

Akira:"No I'd never accept, if it means losing my humanity and rebellion!"

[Rias was little surprised at Akira's sudden and loud response. She was also surprised at his reasoning.]

Rias:"You'd really decline? Even if it means that you'd put your power to waste?"

Akira:"I'd gladly throw away my power if it meant that I could keep my humanity."

Rias:"That's definitely an interesting perspective you've got there. I've been a bit nervous that you would decline. Although you have always managed to surprise me."

Akira:"I've always been a bit of a wildcard haven't I?"

Rias:"Yes, yes you were. But let me guess you won't change your mind on joining my peerage right?"

Akira:"That's right, but I'll be more than happy to help you if at all possible but I'll never join your group if it meant I'd have to lose my humanity."

Rias:"I respect your decision. Would you like to join the occult research club?"

Akira:"I take it they're different from each other."

Rias:"That's right I'll make an exception just for you. If you join the club I'll allow you to help out on missions whenever possible."

Akira:"Alright then I'll accept your offer to join your Club."

Rias:"Oh, thank you Akira!"

Akira:"Um, you don't need to get all emotional. How about we go out to a restaurant and catch up a bit?"

Rias:"Alright we've got 8 years to catch up on."

Akira:"Meh, not much exciting stuff happened after the move."

[After Rias put her wings away I opened the door for her and we went to a small restaurant where we caught up with each other and she gave me a crash course about devils and all that.]
