"There we are," Krauss spoke as he tapped the metal tray. "Get up."

Everyone watched as the little creature seemingly came back to life. It stumbled on its legs. Liz had her hand up, almost like she wanted to touch it.

"Now I have full control over its limbic system. Let's see how long I can hold it," Krauss explained.

The little creature stumbled again and then spotted Hellboy. It raged angrily at him.

"What?" Hellboy said as he brought his hands up. Liz snickered and Maizie smiled a little. The others looked at him. It chattered at him. "Hey, you chewed off the tip of my tail." He pointed at him, and the creature ducked, then continued to chatter and lunge at him.

"It says you're rude, brutish und not very bright," Krauss spoke as he pointed up his fingers at each word.

Liz bent down to look at it, "Wow!" She looked up at Hellboy with a pointed look. Maizie snickered. Hellboy rolled his eyes at her.

The creature continued to chatter then it turned to Krauss who translated it. "It seems our little friend here remembers market sounds and voices. And a peculiar troll language spoken in the last place his cage was opened. The troll market."

"The troll market? Come on," Liz said as she stood up. "No one's ever found it."

"That's because it doesn't exist," Hellboy replied as he roughly pointed at the creature. The creature chattered back then started choking.

"What the hell did you do Red?" Maizie asked as she looked horrified at the creature choking and coughing little wisps of air.

"Mr. Krauss? Dr. Krauss, sir." Manning pointed at the dying creature. "Our little informant there doesn't look so good." Abe cocked his head over Manning's shoulder.

The creature continued to cough, falling to its knees, then let out one last gasp and fell forward dead. The whisps floated out of its mouth and went back into Krauss's finger. He capped it.

"So," Krauss began. "Now we know where to begin. Trolls dwell under bridges."

"Wow…You're a genius," Hellboy snarked. "By the way, there's over 2,000 bridges in New York City,"

Maizie watched as they spoke. Abe chimed in with his information, "But Vladimir Vanya, 19th century occult historian, places the troll market directly under the east end of the Brooklyn Bridge."

Hellboy spoke, "We already looked there."

"Yes," Krauss conceded. "Yes, you have, but not with me Agent. Not with me. We're moving in."

Krauss stepped from the table and left the room with Manning following him. Maizie looked at the others. "What's the point of me being here? What can I do now? He's using his…thing…to find things out almost in the same way I could find out just by touching."

Abe couldn't speak. He didn't know what to say to make a difference. He liked Krauss and was impressed by him. Liz couldn't respond to her either, so she just stepped to her and squeezed her hand.

"We still need you though," Hellboy said. "Doesn't matter what that gasbag can do, we still need you."

Maizie didn't have a reply to that.

An hour later, they arrived at the Brooklyn Bridge. Agents started pulling things off the truck while Hellboy stood with Abe.

"'Not with me Agent.'," Hellboy mocked. "What an ego."

"I like him," Abe piped up.

Hellboy turned to Abe, "Well, you can keep him." He walked around the large boxes that Abe stood admiring. "I mean, am I the only one who thinks this guy is full of-"

"No, no, no," Abe exclaimed as he stopped Hellboy from putting his stoned hand on the box. "Lott 336, the Schufftein glasses. Could it be?"

Hellboy looked at the box as Krauss came up to them and spoke, "The three surviving pairs, and we will use them to locate the troll market."

"Dr. Krauss, what a coup," Abe spoke excitedly. "The Schufftein glasses."

Hellboy turned around mocking Abe while Abe tittered excitedly with Krauss. He went to find Liz and Maizie. He passed a man who insulted his looks, and he shook his head. He found Liz a short distance away, sticking a contraption on a light pole. It was a camera.

She heard him come up from behind, "Two more on the wall in front of me and then three on the alleys facing that way."

"Where's Maizie?" He asked.

"She's back with Manning in the surveillance truck. She's not happy about being put on the sidelines," Liz answered as Hellboy and her stepped into the road.

"I know. But she looks human. She can't go in."

"I can see why she's bitter about Krauss being here. She can't do her job if she's being told she has to sit it out. Your father hired her for a reason," Liz said.

"I know," Hellboy sighed. There wasn't much he could do for his friend. "Speaking of Krauss, what do you think of Mr. Know-It-All?"

Liz shrugged, "Don't know, too early to tell."

They stepped onto the sidewalk and Liz stuck the last one on the pole. "We'll talk about it later. He's sure of himself, and I think maybe you're intimidated." She touched his jacket then his chin.

"Intimidated?" Hellboy muttered as Liz walked away. "Me? Please."

As Liz left Hellboy behind, she headed towards the surveillance truck where Manning and Maizie were stationed and waiting. Liz stepped in as Manning opened a box and lifted a head contraption. Krauss spoke into the radio that all the members shared.

Manning turned with the thing, "What's this?" He asked as Liz stepped in. Maizie turned to look then ignored it.

Liz sat down at the cameras and looked at Manning, "Normally, we can't see fairy folk and trolls. They generate a cloaking aura called "glamour." But in 1878, Emil Schufftein designed and built these."

Maizie tuned out Liz's explanations to Manning as she checked out the screens. Liz had installed cameras and they all pointed into different directions. Since they couldn't join the others as they were human looking, they were forced to watch the screens. Maizie was angry that Manning delegated her to this with Liz. She didn't mind working with Liz, but her job was to be by Hellboy's side and protect him. She can't do that from here.

Liz joined her side after she finished with Manning. She looked at the screens with her and spotted something. She spoke into the mike.

"We've spotted something," Liz said. "We have a suspect."

Krauss spoke over the radio, "Give us a vector, Agent Sherman. A vector."

Liz touched the screen which showed a map of the Brooklyn Bridge. "B-12, the alley, northbound." Krauss replied an acknowledgement then she turned to Manning. He sat looking at the other screens. She pointed to one, "Keep an eye on her. I'll be right back."

Manning pointed to the screen, "This little old lady?"

Liz picked up a cage with a bird in it, "It's a Fragglewump, an ugly Scottish troll."

Manning put on the head contraption and instead of an old lady, he saw a troll-like creature.

Liz continued, "They're afraid of canaries."

Manning exclaimed, "Oh, my god. Canaries huh?"

Maizie rolled her eyes. He's worked here this long and yet doesn't know about these things. Granted Maizie didn't know much about the supernatural world as Liz and the others did, but she knew more than Manning.

He spotted an animal with the troll, "What about the kittens?"

Liz replied, "She feeds on them."
