Before we start this chapter I will say that for the following few weeks updates for this story will slow down due to the classes that the creator of this story is taking along with the creator of this story having to reread the Sea of Monsters to see how the story of Sea of Monsters can fit within the story they are telling. Now let's get into the chapter.

We bring you the second storyline of the Alasterverse…The Sea of Monsters
Hey, it's nice to see you again. It might not seem that long to you but a lot has happened since we last left off. For starters, I'm 13 now. Hooray. It's been a year and it's finally the summer time which means that I'll finally get to see Annabeth and Percy again.
Annabeth and Percy are my friends. I met Annabeth years ago when we were both seven years old. Until I met her I was traveling with my older sister, Thalia…and a boy named Luke. Annabeth had run away from home because of the living situation with her parents. Annabeth's a daughter of Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom and the Goddess of War.
I met Percy when he came to camp last year. Percy's a son of Poseidon, the God of the Sea. Percy and I didn't get along that well at first because of the rivalry our parents had but now the two of us have been pretty close since the end of last summer. We've written to each other over Percy's school year. One time I snuck out of Camp to visit him, that was a fun day, but Mr. D (AKA Dionysus, the God of Wine) caught me and literally dragged me back to camp with vines.
Last summer I went on a quest with Percy, Annabeth, and a satyr named Grover Underwood. Grover's not here anymore, he got his searcher's license and went out into the world to find Pan, the God of the Wild. We don't know if we'll ever see him again, but we're hopeful. Anyways the quest we went on was to retrieve my father, Zeus', master bolt that was stolen. Grover was also the satyr that helped guide Luke, Annabeth, Thalia, and I to Camp Half-Blood.
We successfully returned it but in the end we were betrayed by Luke, the boy who traveled with Thalia, Annabeth, and I. It turns out that Luke was working for Kronos, the King of Titans, in order to help overthrow the Gods of Olympus.
I haven't seen Luke since, but I promised myself that as soon as I see him again then I'd tear him apart. Luke was willing to leave me to die after all we had been through together, so now I wanna pay him back, by leaving him to die with the thoughts that he ruined everything.
But again, back to what we were saying about things changing. Well for starters, Chiron isn't at camp anymore. He has been kicked out of Camp Half-Blood.
Why you ask? Well…Thalia's tree has been poisoned. Like I said before, Thalia was my older sister. She died, sacrificing herself so that Annabeth, Luke, Grover, and I could make it to camp. But our father, Zeus, took pity on her and found a way for her to live. By turning her into a pine tree.
But yes, Thalia's tree was poisoned. Chiron was blamed for it, and so he was kicked out of camp. But then he was replaced by somebody even worse. Tantalus. Tantalus was a guy who used to reside in the Underworld, the Fields of Punishment, but for some reason it was decided that he would replace Chiron as the Camp Activities Director. He's SUPER annoying. You'll see what I mean soon enough. Chiron's not fully kicked out yet though. He's at the big house right now packing up the rest of his things.
The worst part is, Mr. D likes Tantalus. Mr. D already isn't that good of a supervisor who couldn't care less if all the demigods in the world were suddenly wiped out. So imagine him with Tantalus, it's complete torture. Honestly they've made me think of leaving Camp all together. But I have nowhere to go. So I can't.
Mr. D and Tantalus have prevented us from doing anything to fix the problem currently going on: The defense of Half-Blood Hill is weakening.
Thalia's tree is what helps the barrier for Camp Half-Blood keep us safe from monsters. But with her tree being poisoned and her tree slowly dying, so has the barrier. So we have to go back to defending ourselves. But Mr D and Tantalus have been preventing us from protecting ourselves.
So Clarisse La Rue, a daughter of Ares, brought all of the Camp Members together so that we could create a secret border patrol without the knowledge of Mr. D and Tantalus. Usually Clarisse and I don't get along but we've both come to the decision together.
Over the year we had a lot more campers come to camp earlier. Originally at the end of the summer it was just Clarisse and I but as we went on, new campers and old campers came back before their school year was over. When we asked why they said the same thing: monsters.
So now we try our best to defend the camp. Fortunately, we haven't had any monster attacks yet. But I don't know how long that will last. I was positioned next to Thalia's tree on Half-Blood Hill. If any monsters were coming, then I had to be the first one to let everybody else know. I was wearing a bronze chestplate, and a bronze helmet with a red plume. I was holding a spear in my hand and Aegis was on my left arm.
"Hey," I spoke to Thalia. "I'm sorry…I let this happen to you. I should've been more attentive. It's just…everything that's been going on lately. With Luke, now Mr. D and Tantalus…it's just harder to defend the camp now more than ever. And now the King of Titans is trying to rise too, as much as I wish you were here…you're lucky you're not."
I was there for hours. I had to do a lot of stuff so I can keep myself entertained: Playing hacky sack with a rock, doing all kinds of flips in the air with my winged shoes, counting all the clouds I see, etc.
It was about some time in the afternoon where everything really started to take a turn for the worst that day. I was looking upward, repeatedly blowing a leaf into the air while I sat leaning against Thalia's tree.
BA-BOOM
Something shook.
BA-BOOM BA-BOOM BA-BOOM
I stood up and looked down the hill, my eyes widened at the sight. Four monsters were heading right for me. I looked down, studying the monsters to see if I could recognize them. Two of them were the size of elephants and were the color of bronze, as they got closer I realized.
Those were Colchis Bulls!
The other two. One was a large, eight feet tall bull creature. It was bulky and fuzzy and wore blue plaid Hanes boxers. Strapped to its back was a large thick mallet which was stained with a dry red substance. The Minotaur…
Finally the last one was a lion that was only a bit bigger than the Colchis Bulls. The lion had thick glittering metallic gold fur as well. That was the Nemean Lion.
Four monsters attacking Camp at the same time!
"Maia!" I yelled. Wings sprouted from my shoes and I flew all the way back to camp, passing the Big House and into Camp. I flew past campers and zipped around camp before I finally found Clarisse. "Clarisse! We've got monsters coming our way! Both Colchis Bulls, the Minotaur, and the Nemean Lion!"
"You're being serious!" Clarisse's face turned serious and rough. "Alaster, you hold them off at Half-Blood Hill, we'll meet you there."
"I'm on it!" I flew away and back to Half-Blood Hill. As I flew I yelled for everybody in camp to get armored up and to meet me at Half-Blood Hill. The day had finally come, monsters were attacking the camp. By the time I flew back the Colchis Bulls were already past Thalia's tree.
Both of the bulls shot a stream of fire at me, I maneuvered and flew out of the way of fire. "Maia!"
I rolled onto the ground and stood on my legs. A roar from behind me almost made my blood run cold. I looked up and there was the Minotaur with his mallet held above his head. I dodged to the side before the mallet could smash me into the ground. I slashed him in the side with my spear, it roared in pain and swatted at me with its left arm. I jumped into the air high enough to where me and the Minotaur's eyes met. I pulled my leg back, it was surrounded by blue electricity.
I kicked him right in the snout, sending him sprawling onto the ground. I landed on the ground and rolled away as the Nemean Lion lunged at me. The Nemean Lion's fur and skin is nearly impenetrable, if I remember correctly Hercules used the Nemean Lion's claws to penetrate it. But that was only after he strangled it to death. So unless I was willing for my spear to get shattered against its skin, it looks like I had to get up close and personal.
I heard war cries coming up the hill, no doubt it was the other campers, but I had to focus on the battle in front of me. I spun my spear around and then I stuck it into the ground. Aegis disappeared and turned back into a ring on my left index finger. I cracked my knuckles and glared at the Nemean Lion. "All right you overgrown kitten, let's wrestle."
The Nemean Lion charged at me, I dodged to the side and shot electricity at it. The Nemean Lion brushed off my attack like it was nothing and swiped its claw at me. I ducked under it and sent a kick right at the golden lion's jaw. The Nemean Lion faltered and in that moment I socked it square in the jaw. The lion was sent flying back and landed on the ground hard at the bottom of Half-Blood Hill.
I was…surprised. My strength had never been that strong before. Children of the Big Three notably have better physical strength than other demigods do, but I've never been strong enough to send something like the Nemean Lion flying like that. Normally when I do something like that I'm also using my electric based powers.
I looked at my hands. "Weird. But I'm not complaining."
I rushed at the Nemean Lion, jumped into the air and descended onto it. I landed on its back and grabbed its mane. It roared in defiance and tried to shake me off, but I held on as tight as I could. But by doing this I wasn't getting anywhere, so I had to take it up a notch. While still holding onto the mane, I jumped off and planted my feet into the ground. A few moments passed before I was able to get it to stop moving as much.
"And up we go!" I told it and I jumped about fifty feet into the air, taking the Nemean Lion with me. "You might wanna brace yourself, this is gonna hurt!"
We both fell out of the air and just before we hit the ground I slammed the Nemean Lion face-first into the ground, creating a crater around it. I jumped back, prepared for it to get back up. The Nemean Lion coughed and spat up two of its teeth, he struggled to get back up but when it did it growled at me.
I think it's time to end it. I took off the white spiked bracelet on my left wrist, the bracelet glowed and turned into a bronze bow with a golden string. The Nemean Lion roared at me as it charged. I pulled back the gold string of the bow and an arrow made out of lighting appeared. I shot it at the Nemean Lion and the lightning arrow went into its mouth and down its throat.
BOOM!!!
The Nemean Lion exploded, dead. In its place was its golden fur pelt. The pelt took the shape of a golden brown fur denim jacket. Cool, new clothes. In case you didn't know, the Nemean Lion drops a spoil of war that you wear and as long as you keep wearing it, the spoil of war will keep you safe from almost any weapon. I grabbed the jacket and on the ground were the two teeth that the Nemean Lion spit out. I grabbed both of the teeth, put them in my pocket, and headed back up Half-Blood Hill.
Once I got back to the top of the hill one of the campers was sent flying over me and tumbled down the hill. I looked, it was the Minotaur, he was tossing campers left and right, flinging them through the air, back handing them with his forearm. I slipped on the fur denim jacket and grabbed my spear and rushed at the Minotaur.
I used my spear and slashed one of the Minotaur's legs. It blew air out of its nostrils and growled at me, I smirked in response. "Hello."
The Minotaur lifted its mallet into the air and swung it downward at me. I turned my back to it, and once it made contact with my back the mallet shattered into pieces. The Minotaur looked at its hand confused, in its confusion I pierced its stomach with my spear. "And Goodbye."
I channeled electricity through my spear and once it got to the tip it fried the Minotaur with electricity from the inside. It roared in pain before it crumpled down and dissolved into golden dust. After killing the Minotaur I went to tend to the injured campers. The Colchis Bulls were probably still here, but I had to make sure everybody else was okay. Clarisse and whoever else was left can handle them.
I slid down the hill and ran over to the nearest camper to me. I kneeled down and spoke to him. "Hey, hey are you alright?"
"Huh?" He was delirious.
"I asked you if you're alright," I said. He didn't respond. He got paler and paler as seconds went by. "No, no, no, no! Stay with me!"
I took off his helmet that had a blue plume on it. I placed my hand at the back of his head, and I felt something moist. I laid his head down gently and took a look at my hand and it was covered in a red liquid, blood.
I swore under my breath and grabbed him, holding him. "Look at me! Just stay calm, ju-just keep looking at me. We'll get you to the infirmary as fast as we can."
I took off my helmet so that he could look…but his head fell back, he wasn't moving…or breathing. "No…"
This is what I was fearing. The barrier was down, monsters have attacked. And now we have the first death of our own since that happened. I sighed and laid him back down on the ground. "We'll come back for you. We'll give you a funeral deserving of a hero."
"Alaster!"
A familiar voice yelled at me. I looked up and somebody was running at me…it was Annabeth. Behind her was Percy, and something big…it was a Cyclops!
"Annabeth! Behind you, there's a-"
"I know," Annabeth put her hand on my shoulder. "We'll talk about it later."
"What's happened here?" Percy asked.
"We're being attacked. Four monsters came to camp and attacked us. I was able to kill two of them, but I think the Colchis Bulls are still up there and alive," I told them. "Clarisse is leading the charge up there. I'm trying to tend to the wounded campers…but one of them is…"
Percy, Annabeth, the Cyclops, and I looked down at the dead demigod at our feet.
"Oh my gods…" Annabeth said.
"Not moving," the Cyclops said, pointing at the deceased demigod.
Percy brought out his sword, a three foot long celestial bronze sword. "Then let's go kick some bull butt. We'll teach them what happens when you mess with camp. Tyson, stay here. I don't want you taking any more chances."
"Percy, we're going to need him," Annabeth told him.
"He's not mortal. He got lucky with the dodge balls he can't-"
"Wait," I said. "Percy, you don't see it?"
"See what?"
"Percy, don't you know what those are up there? The Colchis bulls, made by Hephaestus instead. We can't fight them unless we have Medusa's Sunscreen SPF 50,000. We'll get burned to a crisp," Annabeth said.
"Look, I don't know what you're talking about, but I'm not going to let Tyson get fried," Percy said.
"Percy-"
"Tyson stay back," He raised his sword. "I'm going in."
Apologies for the short chapter. There will be more updates going forward but as said before, they won't be coming out as quick.
