Chapter 6 Snowball's Choice
Max and the others headed to the animal shelter as fast as possible. As for the flushed pets they made it to the shelter before Max and the others. Ricky flew up ahead to see if there were any humans around. "Coast is clear" Ricky shouted as the flushed pets looked for a way in. All of the other members of the flushed pets were telling Snowball how great it is to have him back because they missed him so much. As for Tattoo the pig he noticed a sad expression on Snowball's face and asked, "Hey boss what's the matter?" Snowball looked at Tattoo and replied, "It's nothing, I'm fine." Tattoo didn't believe him and exclaimed, "Boss I've known you for a long time ever since you rescued me from the tattoo parlor that practiced on me too much to the point where I was about to be given up. I would have probably been turned into bacon if it wasn't for you so come on what's really going on?"
Snowball couldn't lie to Tattoo because he considered the pig one of his closest friends among the flushed pets. Snowball began speaking, "Tattoo even though we all had a blast causing chaos, freeing animals from humans along with kicking some major butt this life the flushed pets gang isn't me anymore. I learned from living with that sweet little girl that not all humans are awful and I just enjoy being loved and cared for." Before Tattoo could respond to what Snowball had just told him Ricky had overheard everything because he was wondering what was keeping Snowball and Tattoo up. However they didn't see Ricky and as fast as Ricky could flap his wings he told the other members of the flushed pets what he overheard Snowball telling Tattoo. "This is crazy, how can Snowball do this to us?" Everyone said all at once. "It seems that the fluffy little bunny prefers to be a child's pet rather than being our leader. Now I always thought I would make a great leader so if all of you appoint me as the new leader of the flushed pets I will lead us to victory against the humans who cause harm to all animals" Ricky said to everyone and they all agreed with the goose.
Snowball and Tattoo caught up with the rest of the flushed pets, unknowing to them what Ricky told the others. An entrance was found and Snowball led everybody inside. "Ok it looks like nobody's around so we can start…." Snowball was saying and before he could finish his sentence Ricky karate chopped Snowball unconscious again and ordered some of the other flushed pets to tie him up. When Snowball woke up he saw that he was tied up dangling in the air above an unknown pen of animals. "What the heck is going on? Why am I tied up?" Snowball questioned as he looked around and saw that nobody was going to get him down. "Ricky what is the meaning of this?!" Ricky looked at Snowball with disappointment and said, "Snowball I overheard your conversation with Tattoo earlier and I have to say I'm very disappointed in you. I can't believe you would rather give up the flushed pets to become a pet. Why would you do such a foolish thing after you were abandoned? I never forgot how hurt you were when the magician came and just left you. If you choose to stay with us you'll never get hurt by another human ever again. What do you say Snowball?"
Snowball looked around the room where all of the flushed pets were looking at him to make the choice to stay with them. "No Ricky I won't stay. I'm happy with my life and I don't want to go back to my old life. It still bothers me that I was abandoned but I learned that not all humans are bad. Also, somebody get me down!" Snowball requested. Ricky was angry and growled, "So you made your choice fine then I'll have to drop you into this pen of animals that I don't know what's inside it's covered. Also I've been appointed as the new leader of the flushed pets. DROP THE BUNNY!" Ricky shouted as one of the other animals pressed a button to lower the chain Snowball was attached to. Snowball was panicking because he thought he was going to meet his doom when all of a sudden there was a loud crash coming through the doors. Nobody had a clue what or who crashed through the doors. Snowball spotted Max and the other pets from his neighborhood who had come to Snowball's rescue.
