Olympia Team

Purpose

Belle wondered how Neil ever got hired on Olympia Team, then she found out.

His family was their sponsor.

Belle came from a wealthy family as well, but she separated from them and the fortune to figure herself out. Earn her own way when she made a Zoid win.

Though Neil was always lounging around. Even during a Zoid match. When they sent him out there, they were lucky to get a win. The rest of the team wondered why Seuz would even think of sending Neil out in a match. He said it was to give him at least some experience, since his parents funded their entire base. Seuz knew Neil's family for a long time.

And he was lounging on the couch as she entered the room.

The scent of his cologne was still in the air. From what she seen with his hair and skin products, he was more of a girl than her, Theresa, and Atlanta combined. If that was even possible.

His head turned. "Hey, Belle."

"Hey, what did you do all day, wash your hair?" She was meant to tease, but hopefully it didn't sound too mean. He was a pain in the neck, but he wasn't that bad of a person. The other girls had the gall to tell it to him straight up, but she never could.

He brushed through it as he looked at his personalized mirror. "I did do that, in fact. Also, I gelled it."

If he looked at himself in the mirror all the time, especially during Zoid battles, it was a wonder how he didn't ended up in med bay.

Then again, Neil was the slack in the team, and someone had to say it to him.

"Neil, if you don't exactly like Zoid battles like the rest of us, why are you still here?"

Archie was brash, what to expect of a mercenary, but at least he respected Zoid battles.

He looked to the ceiling. "Guess it gives me something to do."

Being a Zoid pilot was expensive, so a lot of upper class people did it to fill their time. But to be a Zoid pilot without the desire and the will? She couldn't let someone, especially a teammate think like that.

"Zoid battles are the most amazing thing in the world," began Belle. "People compete to show what they got, even putting their lives on the line for them. It's not something you can do on a whim. A lot of people would kill to have the opportunities we have, and you take it all for granted."

And the only thing on your mind is gelling your hair.

Neil's eyes moved to Belle's newly healed wrist. It was injured a few battles ago. Anymore pressure during that battle, she may not have been able to fight another Zoid battle again.

When Belle was injured, Neil was concerned as well. He even stayed beside her and brought her food to her bedside. For a self-absorbed guy, maybe he did have a heart deep down.

Then again, if Neil had his mirror right in front of him when he was piloting a Zoid, he probably get more than just a broken wrist.

"We're here at Olympia Team cus we all have a purpose," she added. "Perhaps it's time you found yours."

She left the room.
